3801  Other / Meta / Re: Marketplace is being over run by spam offers on: February 10, 2015, 03:05:59 AM
I see where you are coming from. There are multiple "spam" threads that are selling Facebook friends, Facebook accounts, Facebook verified accounts, ect. I've seen the same things being sold from the same seller, and they need to be condensed down to one topic. Same goes with multiple domains. Domains aren't a problem I've seen too often but people aren't condensing their sales to one topic as they should. So far as the actual content, you can't really stop people from selling their junk.
3802  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling $100 target egift cards for $30 PayPal or BTC on: February 08, 2015, 08:15:14 PM

PayPal does not cover virtual goods in their "Buyer's Protection" policy. Something scammers and frauds take advantage of. If you can slide on the fact you paid for a Target digital gift card, you will possibly get your money back. If you point attention to the fact is a digital good, PayPal will close your case and award the seller with the money. PayPal is tricky, and should never be used to sell things because of it's security defects.

Actually they have for me a number of times (once for a SB scam from here and twice from SB gift cards purchased on eBay).  Of course YMMV but maybe it's because I have been selling & buying using PayPal for well over 20 years and rarely had problems.  I believe there is no SELLER protection for digital goods but BUYERS are still covered.

PayPal will cover pretty much any site. Ebay included. In their policy, https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/security/buyer-protection they don't cover digital items between people's transactions. Perhaps Ebay shopping is better, or Bitcoin and an escrow.

why is anyone buying without escrow from a newbie. Ill buy if OP either sends first or uses escrow

I used PayPal.  A dispute has been filed.

3804  Other / Meta / Re: trust trials on: February 07, 2015, 07:44:07 AM
That would way too time consuming and it would leave way too much for error. The point of the trust system is to be unmoderated (mostly). When you have "trials", you leave room for speculation and abuse. And who would be the ones to make the decision? Leave it to a poll? That would lead to alts affecting voting. Leaving one person up to the vote could lead to some opinionated decisions. The trust system works good enough. Not perfect, but neither is anything.

3807  Economy / Services / Re: Need Escrow for a trade now - Please contact on: February 06, 2015, 09:11:58 AM
Try to use devthedev as your escrow

He isn't online and was last online 3-4 hours back.

Wait for an escrow to get online. Account escrows have been proven to be tricky, so have an experienced escrow moderate the transaction. Devthedev is active and will most likely be online soon. Within 12 hours I would say.

3809  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] 150$ AdWords coupon for BTC on: February 05, 2015, 07:19:15 AM

You can use it with your deposit 50$ and recieve 150$ with this coupon.

no, you can't read.
ok if i cant read, please tell me what it means.

I believe it's saything that, because you spent $50, you are a "valued customer" and receive the $150 in credit.

I am trying to finish up buying some stuff for football sunday.

You can lock your topic as you no longer need the loan.
3811  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Xbox Live 48 Hour Trial on: February 04, 2015, 04:54:46 AM
On the note of selling Xbox live trials, this topic should be moved to "Digital Goods". What stands out to me is you are selling six 48 hour trial codes for a quarter bitcoin? What is valued at a few dollars you are selling for ~56.  Shocked
3812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymous says BitCoin Under Attack in 2015 on: February 04, 2015, 02:29:53 AM
It's been under attack. The heavy governmental regulation alluded to it. You see such strong regulations in China and the US regarding Bitcoin, that I can only imagine what laws or other ridiculous regulations the government will attempt to create that will censor our use of the Bitcoin. They've tried numerous times, but they'll be unsuccessful.
3813  Economy / Services / Re: MoneyPot Signature Campaign - February is OPEN on: February 04, 2015, 02:20:44 AM
Stop flaming his rate,he can pay what he wants. It's his campaign not yours. And no, you don't need to state that it's very low because we can all see that.

He is entitled to set any rate he wants, no one is arguing that. The issue here is that the OP is vaguely written, vague enough that people might sign up for the campaign under false expectations that they will receive a sizable payment per post, when in fact they will receive barely anything. This is quite deceptive in my opinion, the OP should be more explicit with the fact that the rates offered are not per post.
Haven't you noticed how much the OP is a scammer? Of course he wants to be exceptionally vague so people get this pretext.

Candy has a very long history of doing very shady things and this can just be one more addition to the list

OP need to put the monthly fund to escrow to gather more attention

good luck for the campaign

I doubt any members would be interested in this. An escrow wouldn't be holding on to much with the low payment rates, so I don't even see a point. Regardless, good luck with the personal campaign.
3814  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling $200 Target GC for $150 on: February 03, 2015, 06:39:22 AM
I'm selling $200 target gift card for $150. Escrow welcome. PM or email me at jiu.wenlong@outlook.com

Can you show proof your gift card legal ?

how do i do that?

Show the source of it. If you purchased it physically show the recipient. If you received it digitally prove you purchased it through emails, bank statements, ect to an interested buyer. Second hand gift cards are difficult to prove legitimate if that is where the card is from.
3815  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bill Gates Calls for ‘Global Government’ on: February 03, 2015, 04:56:13 AM
I honestly don't blame him. The idea of a global government that governs all nations, all people, clearly is a horrible idea, but the idea of having some sort of unity between nations is something all developed countries strive for, so I think this is what he's hinting at. Things like climate change are viewed so differently on different levels. You have democrats here fighting for global warming, and the Middle East glorifying it, perhaps if people were on the same level things would be better for the world. Global government, meh, global unity through some organization, that sounds like a better plan in my opinion.
3816  Other / Meta / Re: this is allowed ? ( disturbing ) on: February 02, 2015, 06:42:27 PM
The off topic forum is by definition a place that might interest bitcoiners so I see no way that it belongs in it. It makes 0 sense that it's even posted there. If someone has interest in gore, go look at sites that are designated for it. I don't seen any relavance with gore and Bitcoin so it's rather pointless.

3819  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Turning off miners on: February 01, 2015, 06:04:34 AM
The difficulty to begin with was already too high. Bitcoin was on a steady decline over the months and it hit rock bottom a week ago. I stopped mining a bit ago, but I don't blame anyone for stopping now while they're ahead. Saving the Bitcoin while paying for the mining, which I have seen some do, is a horrible idea. The charges will keep racking up while the BTC never rises up in price. For me, it was nice while it lasted, I'm sure it was for you too.

By the way the previous difficulty change was a decrease :

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

It was minimum. Nothing too notable or to make a difference in OP's case.
3820  Economy / Economics / Re: No worries.. US debt per person only trippled from 2004-2015 on: February 01, 2015, 05:35:33 AM
And who says bitcoin is not the solution to all these problems.

Well, Bitcoin can easily crash too. It happened a bit ago, no one can predict it going to complete 0. As far as Bitcoin being a solution for an economic meltdown, I just don't see that happening. It's no surprise Bitcoin isn't a mainstream thing, so for people to say, "forget fiat, hello Bitcoin" to a currency with fluctuating prices, I see that is least feasible. The US needs to stop getting so involved in foreign affairs. Keep manufacturing in the country and maybe we wouldn't owe trillions to China.
