3701  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTB] Senior Member Account. on: April 16, 2015, 05:34:25 AM
.13 BTC seems rather low to me in my opinion. With the current campaign I participate in, you could get a return on most of your investment in just about a month. On pay per post campaigns you could probably get your ROI and profit if you really are active in a month. .5 "ish" BTC is a realistic number that I would throw on a Sr. member account. Maybe more, possibly less. Good luck.
3702  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why is it so freaking hard to buy .25 BTC? on: April 15, 2015, 10:33:33 PM
I can understand your frustration as you are a newer member, so the currency exchange forum, or this forum for that matter, isn't your best bet. Perhaps using major exchanges are your best bet. They won't screw you with the ridiculous fees that you're seeing on the forums. Additionally, you could purchase a type of gift card from a local gas station of sorts and sell it on the forums. Would probably be losing 10-15 percent on the resale, but, it is easier than going to an exchange in my opinion. If you did chose to go down this route, receipts is something you should keep to prove they were legitimately bought.
3703  Economy / Economics / Re: Is deflation truly that bad for an economy? on: April 15, 2015, 05:06:41 AM
If we see a huge deflation, we pretty much see a slowing economy which isn't something retailers would want to see. Banks usually try to stop things like this from happening, so with more centralization and a false sense of USD's value, yeah retailers would probably take Bitcoin. Dell started, Overstock, Dish, ect. More and more will hop on.
3704  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cop "accidently" shoots and kills man. on: April 14, 2015, 11:57:13 PM
This is precisely why we need body cams on every active officer during their shifts. The person who shot the person knew he messed up. Without that footage, he could have easily manipulated the situation to put the blame on the suspect rather than himself. Seeing as the suspect died, there would be no way to oppose.
3705  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How are altcoins collateral on: April 14, 2015, 11:52:17 PM
The point of providing the collateral is to put a guarantee on the loan. Many might want to keep that Litecoin, so instead of directly trading it, they can receive it back by putting it as collateral. This way a person can use the value of the collateral without technically giving it up. This is under the circumstance the loan is paid back of course. Other reasons may include the exchange rate and fees associated with transferring over with crypto's.
3706  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to sell Bitcoins on: April 14, 2015, 04:04:40 AM
You could always head over to the currency exchange forum. There are plenty of reputable exchangers there that could do a quick trade with you at a decent rate with minimal fees. Reduce the risk of any incidents happening by using a professional escrow service on the forums. The risk for scamming can be relatively high so be sure to precede with caution in the form of payments you take and such. Good luck.
3707  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you assume Satoshi was a Male? on: April 14, 2015, 01:20:49 AM
That's an interesting idea to say, because I always considered satoshi a masculine name which led me to believe Satoshi was male. But who knows, he could quite possibly be a female. But there has been some evidence of possibilities exactly on who Satoshi is. They've led to a male "suspect".
3708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinions on Online Gambling and Bitcoin on: April 14, 2015, 01:06:52 AM
Hello Everyone,

I am a young entrepreneur and I want my niche to be online P2P gambling, with no house edge. I believe this is a system where by provably fair sites can remove some of the stigmas associated with skill-based and chance games, as well as provide educated people (statisticians for example) and long-run method by which to make real returns from their knowledge despite an economy that undervalues their skills (even though they're paid more than the poultry that goes for average these days).

Anyhow, I understand that there are many counterpoints and draw backs from what I have said. We are aware that gambling has ruined lives before. Yet, recently governments (UK, Canada, Italy, etc.) has begun to offer online gaming as a way to generate taxes. Does government ownership of gambling make it more legitimate? Are the government's imposed limits a big difference in when it comes to the application of these devices? Are some governments/regions/jurisdictions more progressive than others?

This conversation is of particular interest to me so thank you for any and all input.

Open Ocean

I believe the US requires Bitcoin to be taxed as an "income" so it's a bit of a grey area if Bitcoin gambling sites are allowed at all. If allowed, any and all sites with a legitimate provably fair gambling system would be in my book as fair. If someone has a gambling problem, that is no one's fault but their own and should be handled by themselves.
3709  Economy / Services / Re: Looking For a signature Campaign on: April 14, 2015, 01:02:19 AM
Luckybi.t allows negative trust campaign users depending on the reason and if you pass inspection by stingleword. When a spot becomes open you can request a position.
3710  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ISIS impregnates 9-year-old girl on: April 13, 2015, 09:41:52 PM
I don't even understand what they accomplish by this. It's hard to wrap your head around an adult male raping an adolescent. They've done numerous things that are inhumane. No telling that they do to children that doesn't make it to mainstream media.
3711  Other / Meta / Re: Someone hacked my account on: April 13, 2015, 12:13:16 AM
Equinoxx if you remember i sent him a pic when we had a deal, I said to him i can send him my latest pic any time he wants or even video chat its me, that's why i asked him to place a negative trust on the account till i get back so that no one can take out loans etc, That is more than enough to prove its hacked, And No I didnot sell the account, If you remember correctly i had exams that's why i was inactive but when i came back the account was gone. Why would sell a golden goose Cheesy,

Can any mod see the ip logs? for login if possible that can help alot.

Only administrators can check IP logs, to my knowledge, not moderators. They tend not to get involved as they are busy so you may have to take that initiative.
3712  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you like to see an Avatar Campaign? [POLL] on: April 12, 2015, 08:27:11 PM
I feel like some "decorative branding" wouldn't be too bad. For example, there are some nice lucky bit avatars rolling around. Nothing official that all participants must have, but it has some nice stylish branding that isn't overly annoying but elegant rather. What would be nice to see is a campaign that involves matching signatures and avatars that are specifically designed hand in hand. What's annoying is a mismatching avatar and signature that represents the same site.
3713  Other / Politics & Society / Re: cop shoots man in the back on: April 11, 2015, 07:29:41 PM
Saw the video associated with this. It still amazes me how this one video is the only reason the police will be brought to justice. Without video, planting evidence becomes far too easy and the story made about the taser that was planted seemed all too plausible without the footage. Many police departments are ordering body cams that will keep the police in check.

3714  Economy / Speculation / Re: I have USD 2000 to invest. Should I buy Bitcoins or gold? on: April 11, 2015, 05:19:24 PM
For a stable investment, gold is the way to go. You're looking at a very risky investment with Bitcoin if your goal is to cash out in a year. It could be half it's price, it could be double the price. Gold retains its value more over time, so it's definitely a safer investment. In my opinion, I would go with the gold. I feel like the risk that Bitcoin inherits in terms of investment is too great. With gold, you're not going to bust completely.
3715  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people keep saying BTC is dead?! on: April 11, 2015, 05:14:21 PM
I must admit I am getting very worried, it is under 230 USD now.
When we where at 800, people said that it will never go under 400,
when we where at 400 people said that it will never go under 200.

But 200 looks very realistic, even sub 100.
I don't have too much a stake, but I am affraid that I can not buy my things with bitcoin in the future.

People have always been off with speculation. Visit the speculation forum to see how off people can be. The low price doesn't necessarily mean the currency is dead. The community behind Bitcoin is still strong. The price is bound to go up eventually. The reason I see people claiming the currency is dead is just based on the price alone and nothing more than that.
3716  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: hi , i want to buy an senior member account on: April 11, 2015, 05:17:08 AM
do you want to sell

No but there are people who do it as a sort of hobby I guess. Go looking, there are threads there.

hi , i want to buy an senior member account,

You can try check the auction section maybe you can find what you want there

hi , i want to buy an senior member account,

Why? Not that I'm selling mind you. And plenty of people are. But why? Just curious...

More than likely for a pay per post signature campaign. Easy return on investment over a period of a few months usually then the rest if profit.

The bans are coming fast and furious; I don't think that will work...

What? The only reason an account would get banned is if the account sold is severely spamming. Other than that, sales of accounts is prohibited.

3718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Busted! Cops taking BTC! on: April 10, 2015, 03:41:13 AM
I'm not surprised, at all truthfully. It never surprises me who sucumbs to greed now a days. Absolutely anyone can be a culprit in a "Bitcoin heist". It's way too easy to get away with if pulled off successfully, and those two federal agents probably had a reasonable chance to execute this robbery as well. One of the many reasons that I feel Bitcoin won't come out in the public's eye as something they'd want to invest time and money into.
3719  Economy / Economics / Re: Technological unemployment is (almost) here on: April 10, 2015, 03:36:45 AM
This post has a lot of truth to it, unfortunately I want to say. A notable example is Amazon. They are starting to automate their delivery and packing services more and more over the past years. Slowly and slowly do workers labour become more worthless after being replaced by high powered machines that pay in the long term. Not necessarily blue collar jobs as mentioned in the OP, but those will soon follow as computers can outwork and "out think" an intelligent worker in multiple aspects. Next decade we'll really see how technology can take the jobs of people.
3720  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: April 09, 2015, 03:18:15 PM
This has been argued to hell and as the first reply said, Satoshi is even unsure about the matter. I think Bitcoin is too unstable to become 10k per coin. We've seen it sky rocket before and it's collapsed because it can not self sustain itself of a price so high. Hypothetically if it did reach that, imagine the exchanges that could possibly collapse. Instead of a hundreds of thousands being lost, multiple millions will be lost. Every type of hacker would want a piece of it.
