Note, I asked the mods to move your thread as Armory has it's own "support" board. This one is frequented by Armory users and occasionally the devs. As for your issue, I assume that your Armory is connected properly to Bitcoin Core and is fully synced? (Green "Connected" message in bottom right corner and correct number of blocks being 589687 or higher) If so, you'll probably need to post up your Armory log files for being to be able to diagnose the issue properly... should be in C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Armory (If you can't see "AppData" then refer here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4028316/windows-view-hidden-files-and-folders-in-windows-10) You're looking for armorylog.txt and dbLog.txt. TIP: Don't try and copy/paste them into this thread, instead copy/paste them to pastebin.com and then post the unique URLs provide by pastebin here

Though one problem, i signed the tx on the offline machine (0.96.4) but for some reason i am not allowed to broadcast it on my online machine (0.96.2)
Armory can be quite particular about online and offline being on the same version... A slight modification to the transaction format used by Armory can result in either the offline machine not recognising an unsigned transaction as valid or, in your case, the online machine not recognising a signed transaction before broadcast. Certainly try 0.95.5 on the online machine, but if that doesn't work either, then I'd recommend you try using 0.96.4 on the online machine.

I can confirm that you are showing up in the flag for otcrypto for me: You are not showing in any of the other flags, so I'm assuming your original comment still stands? I only have supported your flag against otcrypto

All my money, gone.
Sorry to hear that. I just lost my huge amount of savings in the same way. I was using Electrum 3.0.6 or 3.0.8 and had nothing but trouble sending bitcoins so learned how to do it by reading different forums
It's a shame you didn't find Bitcointalk earlier... otherwise you would have seen all the threads about the phishing attack and how to avoid losing coins. I'm really not sure how some 8-9 months after the initial attack and all of the countless threads, reddits, twitter, blog posts etc that people have not heard about this?

This is the kind of exploit you only see happen in movies.
Exactly... a lot of these exploits, while being possible, are highly improbable of actually being able to be used. It's a bit like the possibility of being hit by a meteorite while walking down the street is non-zero, but highly improbable... so you will quite happily walk down the street without worrying too much about it. Same goes for a lot of these hardware wallet hacks. They're "possible", but "improbable"... I really doubt someone is going to break into my apartment building, then break into my apartment, then swap out the one USB cable I use for my hardware wallet (out of the 5 on my desk) etc... I'm more worried about getting hit by meteorites tbh

I have putted address of my ARMORY wallet in my mining pool site & they have sent some bitcoins to it but my ARMORY wallet is not showing any thing and my wallet's balance is zero. what should I do?
Do you have Bitcoin Core installed and fully synced? Armory requires Bitcoin Core to be able to function properly... if you don't have Bitcoin Core installed, you will need to install it (and fully sync the blockchain) before Armory will be able to show your balance... Suggest you create your own thread rather than posting in this one.

Wow, these "vulnerabilities" are getting more and more obscure... how crazy that the power draw to display a line of pixels can be "abused" to the point where you can use it as an attack!!?! Thanks for the notification. Will go update the Trezor EDIT: Can confirm that you need to use beta-wallet.trezor.io for the new firmware to show up. Otherwise, it updated without wiping for me, so I didn't need to re-enter the seed or anything. Seems to work as described... random white pixels showing up on the screen:

Probably because the OpenPGP app is only available in "Developer mode"... I suspect that as it isn't related to the coins, hasn't been a focus of optimisation and, as such, it might be quite a large app...
I vaguely remember attempting to install it months and months ago (before the update(s) that caused the space issues) when I was trying out all the different stuff (OpenPGP and FIDO U2F etc)... and I had issues with it being large.

I cannot add increase transaction fee, I get the sign that says "Transaction does'nt have a change output"
Think of it like this... Scenario A: You want to send $9.75 to someone... and the fee is $0.25c... so you use a $10 note... You have nothing left over. There is no "change"... so you have nothing left to increase the 0.25c fee with. Scenario B: You wanted to send $9.50 to someone... and your fee was 0.25c, and you used a $10 note, you'd have 0.25c of "change" leftover... so if you wanted, you could add that change to your original fee to make the fee 0.50c. You are in Scenario A, you have nothing left within the transaction to be able to increase the fee... you cannot use other funds in your wallet, you can only use the "change" from the transaction itself. Unfortunately, you have no change, so you cannot increase the fee.

last year, I slow away my old laptop in rabbish.. ( it was borken)
Why not take out your hard disk from the broken laptop and use "enclosure" or any HDD to USB adapter to connect the hard disk to working PC. Because he doesn't have the laptop anymore He threw it away in the rubbish (at least, that's what I think "slow away my old laptop in rabbish" means ) Maybe...I saved it on a hard driver somewhere, need to fix it( also broken) then see if I left anything somewhere..
Fingers crossed you made some backups of your wallet.dat. If not, then indeed... you can "can say goodbye to your hopes"

Ive currently got an unconfirmed transaction and it looks like the fee was 2.1 instead of 1. The recipient is also saying its unconfirmed.
Looks like the mempool size has dropped dramatically since this message was sent... mempool at the time of the message was around 10Megs... (~9-10 blocks worth of transactions)... with a couple of blocks worth of 10+ sats/byte fees... Since then, it has dropped to 0 several times... I'd be VERY surprised if: 1. The OP's transaction has not confirmed 2. The OP comes back

You didn't even read my message carefully. The phrase key was written in a pen in a paper notebook! How can I withdraw money without knowing it? Version 3.3.2 of the purse. Downloaded from your official website. Prove that it is not you as the developers stole my money! No one else could access the key phrase except the developer.
Did you ever type this seed phrase into a wallet other than Electrum or into a website to check addresses or try and claim "fork coins" or an air drop etc? If the answer is yes, then it is highly likely that your seed phrase was compromised and the thief has used it to steal your coins. Did you ever store this seedphrase in a digital form (ie. email, text document, screenshot etc)? Other scenarios are: - Someone accessed your notebook. Are you 100% sure that no-one other than you has access to this book? - Your wallet file was compromised. Do you have a password setup on the wallet? If not, and someone had a copy of your wallet file, they would have full access to the seed/private keys. - If you do have a password setup on your Electrum wallet, but your computer was infected with a keylogger, it's possible an attacker would have both your wallet file AND your password.Have you checked with Malwarebytes and "Spybot Search n Destroy" to see if there are any known malware/trojans on your pc? As others have mentioned, there were issues with "fake" versions of Electrum being touted by fake Electrum "phishing" websites (Identical copies of the website on similar domain names). Do you still have the original .exe installer? If so, have you checked the digital signature of that file to confirm that it was indeed a legitimate version of Electrum. You can get instructions on how to check the digital signature here: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-verify-your-electrum-download/If you still have the .exe, but are unable to verify the signature, upload it to a file host, post the link here and I'll be happy to check the signature on your behalf. In case anyone else is wanting to investigate... the following may be useful (so you don't spend forever trying to transcribe from the screenshot ): TXID: 09aac6b71d6342066176e6e5a7d57e2460d1562ba8cbf3892c90c0f422582727

I just want to confirm... when i open electrum, there should be no update message of any sort... unless if i were to send btc then maybe i get that phising message right... can anyone here confirm this? The answer is that it depends... the new update notification was added in 3.3.3: # Release 3.3.3 - (January 25, 2019)
* Do not expose users to server error messages (#4968) * Notify users of new releases. Release announcements must be signed, and they are verified byElectrum using a hardcoded Bitcoin address. * Hardware wallet fixes (#4991, #4993, #5006) * Display only QR code in QRcode Window * Fixed code signing on MacOS * Randomise locktime of transactions
Given you have 3.3.4, if you "opted-in" to this feature when you installed 3.3.3 or 3.3.4 then you would see a message displayed at the bottom of the Electrum window like this: If you click that message, you will get a popup that looks like this: However, you will not see this update notification if you did not "opt-in" to the new update notification feature and/or you disabled the setting in "Preferences -> General": In that instance, you will only see a (fake) popup notification IF you are connected to a malicious server AND you attempt to send funds. If that happens, you can simply ignore the popup and your funds will still be safe.

There is obviously some sort of shenanigans going on here... Based on the "wallet corruption detected" message, my initial thoughts are that the OP has "bought" a "fake" wallet from someone thinking that they had 331,000+ BTC in it. I've heard of the "fake" Bitcoin Core wallet.dat's... but never seen/heard of a fake Electrum wallet until now. Although, it probably wouldn't be that difficult to fake given that the non-encrypted wallet files are essentially just JSON text. I'm also curious as to why the OP has the revealer plugin enabled? Refer to icon here: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/blob/master/electrum/gui/icons/revealer.png

What you can do is avoid the "wrench attack" by avoiding being the target of a wrench attack. You can do this by obscuring how much coin you have via things like coin control, not reusing addresses, and minimizing the number of transactions that can be publicly attributed to you.
And not actively participating on online, public forums related to cryptocurrency... oh... wait. Seriously tho, a lot of these arguments always descend into what I like to call the "What if? Game"™... where the participants start inventing more and more unlikely scenarios to attempt to justify their position and/or denigrate the oppositions position. The truth is that there really is no "one size fits all" approach to cryptocurrency, how it should be "stored" or how it should be "used"... for some people, web wallets are perfect... for others they need cryptosteel, locked in a fire proof safe, in a drybag, buried in the woods... and then everything else inbetween. As long as your solution fits your requirements and satisfies your personal level of risk... then you are "Being your own bank"

This finalizes LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Roller Coaster #2. Thanks for following it all the way through and dealing with the hassle that is Poloniex... personally, I wouldn't have cared if you'd just eaten that BTC... but I guess $6 is $6 and no doubt someone would have accused you of theft or embezzlement or something for not returning every last satoshi owed Any plans to run a Round 3? If not... I might be tempted to try and organise something similar.

So he got "scammed" by GoDaddy for $5.
I wonder if I can claim for "emotional distress" for having read that thread... $495 for "time", phone calls and emotional distress?

If you are serious about Bitcoin then SPV wallets aren't much different from a webwallet. Obviously no software is free from MITM attacks, but all things equal, a full node is the way to go. Im a bit of an extremist in this case. Why bother at all if you don't get the real thing. As Luke JR would put it, if you aren't running a full node you aren't using Bitcoin.
What about if you run your SPV wallet by connecting it to your own full node? Bitcoin Core+ electrs+Electrum+Nano S

Else, I'd urge @theymos and @admins (administration) to please display these things as warnings in the News part (top left of your page under avatar) as it'd actually save many of them and even us if we remain unaware until scammed.
Theymos did... when this was actually "news" There was a link to an announcement regarding the Electrum phishing vulnerability posted in the "News" bar at the top of the page. This was all the way back when this first blew up at the end of December 2018... it's now August 2019, this is not "news" anymore. "Be Your Own Bank (Security Department)"
