How to sort text in Notepad ++ (or other tool) like in bellow at the very top after sorting there will be addressess with the names most often repeating or closest, then subsequent, subsequent and subsequent ones as in the example below
Which is more important to the sort? "closest match" or the "most often repeating"... I'm guessing it is "closest match" as in your example you have 2x " 1Bitco" and " 1Bitc" but they are sorted AFTER only 1x " 1Bitcoi" 1Bitcoin1DomR3kFvRVUyqvF357zZes4PD 1Bitcoin1H54ZwxFMDFod8vtz55dweqnz7 1Bitcoin13gGce1XJu6ni1EisMe5iPcguf 1Bitcoin17ybmkj3qH7VyT5XjdnXaz3ZBa 1BitcoinJNVRfTPxCJeA5UsSA5g4Twu8h8 1Bitcoi614uwChefc5P2Um7GBebutDdjAA 1Bitco321EUbjDUQFahguAA7WEME68wx2m 1Bitcopt1Pf7RmFmisdQxaZUKqhW4tLBB1 1Bitc1in15tA5fiT9JxENbMqnPu4QyfgPX 1Bitc48n1Q2Kr5Erk8GrFACcGVSiEjkDWb 1Bita87ppKePLztu6CDe7Nq4rzkqurmjc6 1Bituiot18g2HwfVBmnb6g2eh3QRr2D853

Not really the right forum to be asking this. This isn't hardware support per se. I'd suggest you click the "move topic" link in to the bottom left and select one of the Mining Forums... maybe "Hardware"?
Failing that, a dedicated hardware forum like Tom's Hardware or Overclock.net might be your best bet.

If your wallet.dat is an "HD" wallet, then no you don't need to make new copies every month or after every new transaction. It will just "work" when you copy it back to an active node. That is indeed the standard method of backing up your wallet in Bitcoin Core. "Make copy of wallet.dat". Check the bottom right corner of Bitcoin Core for the HD symbol: If you don't have the HD symbol (or it has an X through it)... then things become slightly more complicated

Quite possibly a Windows "permissions" error with the D:\blocks folder.
Make sure the folder permissions are set correctly and/or you are running Bitcoin Core as the correct user.
Maybe try running Bitcoin Core as administrator?
It's also possible that you Antivirus is blocking access to the file/folder... Temporarily disable it and see if the error stops. If so, add an exception for Bitcoin Core or that particular folder and see if that stops it.

It actually got mentioned a lot... By all the people who invested and basically got fucked over. The project owners claimed all the funds were spent on development etc including the "team meeting" at a resort. Then they started sketchy shit like shilling Russian ICOs in the app and adding other in your face advertising... Conveniently ignoring all the questions about where all the money raised went. As I recall, one of the lead Devs quit over the whole drama... Then they put BCH support in... iOS version got dumped etc. Despite all this, it's still one of the "better" Android wallets and has a lot of decent features (BIP39, multiple accounts, open source, SegWit support, address/key import, hardware wallet support etc). So, technically a sound wallet, but ethically has a rather chequered history

Just to be completely clear... You should consider that blockchain wallet and ALL addresses in it completely compromised!
DO NOT use this wallet for anything.
As for how it got compromised, the usual reasons are: - Created/used on compromised device/computer - Storing of seed/private keys in plaintext a digital format (email, instant message, word/text document, screenshot etc) - Phishing hacks
These are obviously not the only way for your wallets/accounts to get compromised, so you should evaluate your setup and how you created/used the wallet.

So about my question if I want to chase 80x multiplier what script do I use? Can you copy and paste code here?
What exactly do you mean by "chase 80x multiplier"? Are you simply wanting to gamble with 80x payout or do you mean something else? If you just want to gamble at 80x payout, you don't even need a script, the beginner mode will work just fine. Chance/Payout values can vary from site to site due to differences in House Edge. So, you just need to know what chance value equates to an 80x payout on the site you want to play on... Then set that chance, the bet amount and start the bot going!

What is the other wallet? And what was the address you attempted to send to? Was it either 1G588PwNw5A5pJUQyoR6PiyMzNpn6zXCTp or 3CskMgUDP7eJ8obmayCiUpL8Cc9HYn65Ee? It's possible that: - Your other wallet isn't synced correctly - You have sent to the wrong address (clipboard virus or simply a bad copy/paste) - The other wallet is a scam (dark net market place etc) and/or is just broken

The first few characters of wallet are 3L6TKS. if that's any help
Electrum only creates "3" type addresses if you: a. Create a 'MultiSignature' wallet b. Create a '2FA' wallet that uses the TrustedCoin functionality c. Use the "Options -> BIP39 seed" option when entering a seed and then select the "p2sh-segwit (p2wpkh-p2sh)" option: So, try option C and see if Electrum recreates your wallet.

Are you running electrs as a background process or are you running it in a terminal window and can see all of it's debug output? When you run Electrum, do you see any notifications in the electrs output that shows any connection attempts? You might also want to run manually running Electrum from a terminal with the 'debug' option ( -v) to see why it isn't able to connection. There is also an option in Electrum to log to disk: Tools menu > Preferences > General tab, and tick "Write logs to file"

Fairly sure that this whole setup is a scam... When you sign up, they email (!!?! ) you an 18 word seed... and that seed is simply used to download a "wallet" from their website. I did some basic tests... downloaded it, setup account and used password abc123. When attempting to restore, I got "invalid password" refer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5225197.msg53854675#msg53854675Also, do not confuse bitsblock.io with Bitcoin Core... whatever wallet you got from bitsblock.io is most definitely NOT Bitcoin Core!

Thanks for that but i copy and pasted the seed in order to prevent any mistakes.
Just out of curiosity, how old is this Electrum seed? I can't think of any reason why a copy/pasted seed from Electrum would be rejected by Electrum. I think im going to have to admit defeat. If you still have access to your old data, then you should be easily able to recover the wallet file. If the amount "stuck" in your wallet is substantial, it would definitely be worth your while trying to get btcrecover working. It may look complicated, but it's not impossible. Someone could probably walk you through the steps of getting it setup and running. Alternatively, do you have any trusted friends/associates who may be able to help?

it was the original electrum seed that was made when the wallet was created.
Then the logical conclusion is that you have transcribed the seed incorrectly. Either you have written down an incorrect word (quite easy to do given the similar words in the BIP39 wordlist like kid, kit, kite etc)... or you have words in the incorrect order (tends to occur more if you are writing them in multiple columns/rows as opposed to a single string of words) Either that, or it simply wasn't an original Electrum seed. You can either use the "seedrecover" functionality in the btcrecover package to try and find the incorrect word(s)... or you can try and recover your original wallet file from your other hard drive. You would need to check in the "/home/USERNAME/.electrum" folder on the old drive for your wallet file.

I have just updated my computer and now i cannot get to my BTC . I had to reinstall electrum and now my wallet name is missing and it won't recognise seed. Yes, i did and that's the problem, i have typed in the seed carefully and accurately and yet it refuses to recognise the seed.
I write down all the seeds to various other wallets etc I can prove by logging into various exchanges that the wallet and BTC belongs to me but i simply cannot move it.
Was the seed mnemonic (12 words) originally created in Electrum? Or did you get it from a different wallet originally (eg, multibitHD, Exodus, Jaxx, Coinomi, Mycelium etc) and then import it into Electrum? If the seed was originally created by a wallet other than Electrum, you need to click the "Options" button on the seed entry screen and tick the "BIP39 seed" box.

It seems that I did everything right .. but I have such an error ...
C:\Users\user>CD d:\distr\btcrecover-master\btcrecover-master
C:\Users\user> C:\python27\python btcrecover.py --wallet default_wallet --tokenlist token.txt --typos-capslock --typos-swap --typos-repeat --typos-delete --typos-case --autosave savefile C:\python27\python: can't open file 'btcrecover.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory
The problem is that you are still in "C:\Users\user"... Windows has this 'awesome' feature where you cannot use "CD" (Change Directory)... to change to a different drive and directory at the same time. So your first command: CD d:\distr\btcrecover-master\btcrecover-master
Simply changed the default starting location on D: in the background.Try these commands one at a time: D:
CD \distr\btcrecover-master\btcrecover-master
C:\python27\python btcrecover.py --wallet default_wallet --tokenlist token.txt --typos-capslock --typos-swap --typos-repeat --typos-delete --typos-case --autosave savefile
NOTE: After you use the "D:" command to switch to D: drive... Make sure that the prompt starts with "D:\>" Also, make sure a copy of your "default_wallet" file is in the "d:\distr\btcrecover-master\btcrecover-master", otherwise btcrecover will fail saying that it can't find the wallet file.

Great, thank you for suggesting! Doesn't seem to do the trick unfortunately. I assume that --db-dir ./db within the argument refers to the Electrum database, so I've left this unchanged given I have Electrs located in the default /home/electrs/ location.
Did you mean Electrum database... or electrs database? db-dir is the location where electrs stores it's database. The .cookie file is not produced within the /mnt/HDD/ folder but instead within /Home/User/.bitcoin, together with the bitcoin.conf file, & I have the following argument within the bitcoin.conf file that sets /mnt/HDD/ as the data directory: "datadir=/mnt/HDD"
I have the following argument - "rpccookiefile=/home/user/.bitcoin/.cookie" - within the bitcoin.conf file to create the .cookie file there so that Bitcoind will run from the default /Home/User/.bitcoin directory but use the /mnt/HDD to store the blocks.
Ahhh ok, yeah... you've added an extra layer of complexity by moving some of the Bitcoin data to your /mnt/HDD location, but then leaving some of it in the default "/home/user/.bitcoin" location. By default, electrs simply looks for the cookie in the daemon-dir... If you have the cookie in a custom location, you'd need to specify that. There is a cookie-file argument that you can use for this. So, try this: cargo run --release -- -vvv --timestamp --db-dir ./db --daemon-dir /mnt/HDD/ --electrum-rpc-addr="127.0.0.1:50001" --cookie-file /home/user/.bitcoin/.cookie
|
|
|
Ok... so I use a shell script to start it up... it's basically one line: cargo run --release -- -vvv --timestamp --db-dir /mnt/e/electrs --daemon-dir /mnt/e/Bitcoin --electrum-rpc-addr="127.0.0.1:50001"
As you can see... I've got --daemon-dir added into the "cargo run" command... and specified the path to my Bitcoin blocks folder... "/mnt/e/Bitcoin" (I've also put the electrs db-dir in a custom location too)

Personally, I would just restore the Armory wallets from your paper backups... rather than copying old wallet files etc. There is always the (small) possibility that the old files are corrupt and/or may not play nicely with the latest version of everything. Restoring from the paper backups should make that possibility zero
