I know I'm only getting 2 connections, some nodes would help.

How hard would it be to implement KGW or DGW on the coin?  That way the DIFF will adjust with the hashrate.

Don't get me wrong, I want this coin to survive as much as the rest of you do.  But the harsh reality for anyone who has been mining for any length of time is that there are scam coins everywhere!!

I was one of the lucky ones with WhiteCoin, got out breaking even.  But there are a lot of people who are still wondering WTF happened!!  How can the DEV run off and dump the premine and bolt!!  Even more horror stories about IPOs.

If you are going to pay a bounty for a pool, make it worthwhile, that's why I donated!!!  Because there are as many shady pool operators as there are scamcoins!!!

I couldn't agree more with you.  I have been burned far to many times in the past by these shady pools.  Scryptominers and Tales from the Scrypt are just a few recent ones I can think of.

I am looking at creating my own pool on a extra computer I have.  It's a 4 core amd 2.5ghz 8 gig ram 500gig hd 57Mpbs Download 13Mpbs upload connection.  Not that greatest, but its a start.
It already has windows 7 and ubuntu 12.04 lts installed.  I have been looking at p2pool or NOMP.  I could really use some help setting it up.  My Linux skills are basic to intermediate.

If you are looking to start a pool, rent a VM from digital ocean.  I bet there is plenty out there that can help you!!

Why don't the people that are having trouble using the linux wallet, try using the windows wallet on an windows emulator?

That should work  Grin

I got the wallet open on windows since a while but still only 1 connection and say no source bloc available

Let it set, the 1st time took mine about 20 minutes.

OK Dev, here are some questions...

1) Where do you really live?
2) Did you just copy/paste this coin?
3) How much in coins was the premine?
4) Are you going to dump and run as soon as this coin hits and exchange?
5) How do you plan on maintaining this coin?

I'm really starting to worry, a DEV who doesn't know linux?  Avoids answering questions about implementing features?  I have seen way too many scam coins there the DEV, Kept the IPO, kept and dumped the premine, opened a pool just to have it die with eveyones coins.  Yes, I'm a bit gunshy.

I think I know what's happening here the guys that do know how to run linux are keeping it a secret so they can mine solo with their 4 x 280x's

I was soloing with 6 280x's and it's starting to get tough!!  Even though the hash rate is dropping the DIFF is staying the same.  But with Windows

The biggest think is it needs to compile for a pool to be set up.  Without a working linux source you can't have a pool.

Hey DEV, are you really in California?

What I don't understand is that the network hashrate is way down, but the DIFF hasn't dropped.  I think they have to drop the re-target time for the DIFF.

Wait is this coin even KGW?  If not this coin is just going to be raped by ASIC.

ASIC people won't even bother unless this coin gets on an exchange and starts to do something.  Then you will get the attention of the multipools.  Right now this coin offers nothing, no pools, no working linux wallet, maybe no future.

The point being they can point their ASIC miners at this coin for an hour at low difficulty and get a massive % of the coin as the coin has no algo to fight back.

But why would they do that now?  Someone spends $25,000 on an ASIC farm, they aren't going to waste it on this coin.  They want something that they can make BTC on.  The whole object return on investment is wasted on this coin.

If they DEV would have had a plan, a timed release, pools and exchanges lined up they would have been all over this coin.  But right now, the linux wallet isn't even working.  The net hashrate is 10 Mh/s, unless the DEV gets his act together and fixes this coin it's going to end up with all the other coins that DIED!!!

Can anyone confirm if suvpool is currently working? I cant access the site to see if my worker is still active and if ive gotten more coins or not.  Is the pool paying correctly? Thanks.
I can't access the website either. My miner is still chugging away. Hopefully when the front-end comes back online it will show our progress. (it should)

Thanks I hope so too. Im not at home so cant take a look at my miner. Hope im not wasting electricity.

Look at the bright side, it's X11 so you are wasting less!!!

Have you tried importing the private keys back into a blank wallet?  That has worked 95% of the time I have done it.
