41  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: User hardworkinfamilyman Raises Red Flags and May Be a Scammer on: June 26, 2024, 11:27:58 PM
I want to note another thing , when I sent an email to satoshi@vistomail.com , the owner replied :

"Hey, thanks for the email. You should mine x1coin.org or at least download the wallet.

Satoshi Nakamoto"

why did you use Satoshi Nakamoto name at the end ? you said you only spoke to him , why use his identity when sending an email ? you said that you prefer that we call you Alex , that is all I know guys, I hope I helped even a little bit.
Just a word of advice. Be very careful downloading software or wallets recommended by such individuals. Being a scammer he is, he can easily trick you into downloading malware and that how your computer gets compromised, leading to loss of funds or sensitive user information.

If he can try to lie about being someone he is not, then he could surely do anything else that is malicious.
42  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Plattform to buy BTC from time to time to my own wallet on: June 26, 2024, 10:58:12 PM
i thinks Binance is best to buy btc time to time
But he said he has been using Binance, so....

If you've same issues as the Op related with the high fee transactions, it could be due to congestions or depending on the network you uses for the transfer of the funds.
I can only recommend you to try the Tron network for the transaction which offers zero or lesser fees than other networks.
Bitcoin on Tron chain? is that really Bitcoin?

OP how about platforms like
Hodlhodl.com
localcoinswap.com (You don't have to worry about withdrawal fees, just on chain transaction fees).

Alternatively, you can make bulk purchases instead of daily or weekly small purchases to avoid incurring very high exchange withdrawal fees
for example
Purchase and withdraw at once Bitcoin worth $1,000 ---> withdrawal fee $5 (0.0008 BTC)
Purchase $100 of BTC and withdraw each for 10 times ---> Total withdrawal fees $50 (0.008 BTC)
43  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: User hardworkinfamilyman Raises Red Flags and May Be a Scammer on: June 25, 2024, 11:57:21 PM
Nice, but the red flag is you are a trying to outcast me and I am trying to have a civilized conversation with you.
We don't need scammers and trolls here, so if he managed to outcast you, the better for the community

All that hate isn't good for you man.
Have you had time to look at your trust ratings? Grin
What valuables could you possibly be having that would make him hate you? I mean you are just a low life looking for the next immediate victim to scam but with that negative feedback, i expect even the newbies in this forum not to fall for it.
44  Other / Meta / Re: Ninjastic.space - BitcoinTalk Post/Address archive + API on: June 25, 2024, 11:47:58 PM
Question: Is there away of inverting the search results from the earliest post containing the keyword(s) being displayed at the Top to the Latest post containing the keyword(s) being displayed at the bottom? This would come in handy, especially if the search results are in hundreds and require one to keep scrolling to the bottom.
45  Other / Meta / Re: Upward screen scrolling ain't active and efficient like the downward scroll on: June 25, 2024, 11:31:35 PM
Please specify;
1. Which browser are you using?
2. Where exactly is the scrolling unsmooth? On the main page (index page) or Topic page?

I have tried it out on my old mid-range mobile phone and everything seems smooth, though I don't think the forum is optimized for mobile phones.

I also suggest you upload a screen recording to streamable.com and then share a link here to help us understand what exactly you are experiencing.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Gold on: June 25, 2024, 10:57:46 PM
The Bitcoin vs Gold debate is more like the Ronaldo vs Messi one. It has enthusiastic fanatics on both sides, so at the end of the day, you just follow your gut.
If you are purely into investment and look at the price growth of Bitcoin from its inception vs Gold in the same period. It's quite clear the Bitcoin beats Gold. You can look up the charts on TradingView

I would like you to also watch this 12-minute short video on Twitter. It gives you an insight on how money has evolved and on why Bitcoin might still have a brighter future lying ahead - https://x.com/goyimgrant/status/1703568465758441934
47  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: June 25, 2024, 10:29:00 PM
I hit exch.cx on Tor Browser, get redirected to - hszyoqwrcp7cxlxnqmovp6vjvmnwj33g4wviuxqzq47emieaxjaperyd.onion - and the connection times out. Is there a problem?
For me it took a long time to load but there was no other issue.
You most likely visited the "http" version of the website which still loads normally, the "Https" version is not available at the moment for some reason. Perhaps it's temporary. I wouldn't use the "Http" version for any transaction for now until it's rectified.
48  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex removed from playstore? on: June 23, 2024, 11:50:35 PM
Can i trust poloniex?
No you can't
The exchange already has some issues, now like the one this user raise not so long ago: Poloniex Has Not Added 3 Deposits to My Account for 3 Months

i have some funds there, and my account is frozen, they are asking to download the app be able to use funds, wich is very weird, should i contact a lawyer instead?
This should be a wake up call, please move all your funds out of that exchange once you are able to access and unfreeze your accout

49  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase 2FA Login Issue? on: June 23, 2024, 11:42:32 PM
Back then I used an sms number with coinbase and it would show up in my sms number.  I then changed it to either authenticator or raivo but not sure which one it is.  But the last time I logged into coinbase years ago, I remember after entering my coinbase password, it would then have the message show up on top of phone for authenticator or raivo.  This time, there isn't so I'm confused why.
There is no Authenticator app that I know that shows up a notification or pop of the code. You have to open the authenticator app in order to be able to see the OTP codes that are generated every 30 seconds
It's only with SMS and Emails 2 factor verification where you are able to see the message.

Alternatively try resetting your 2FA - https://help.coinbase.com/en/coinbase/managing-my-account/get-back-into-my-account/2-step-verification-troubleshooting
50  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT1 and DT2 members who have negative feedback (or are banned) on: June 23, 2024, 10:57:52 PM
I don't know who has -8, do you mind mentioning him?
This one was an easy guess  Cheesy

All types of tags? Maybe, but I rarely notice a negative feedback from DT1 or DT2 that has to do with politics. Negative feedback is almost always based on objective criteria, like fraud or lies. In fact, I'd like you to direct me to such examples, as you claim that you're noticing.
Those types of tags have certainly reduced over time as more and more members become inactive. They would mostly be common among long time members of the forum, who in some cases had grudges or simple disagreements with each other and then end up exchange negative feedback, but then you know they haven't scammed anyone. Let me dig up an example

51  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase 2FA Login Issue? on: June 23, 2024, 10:45:58 PM
Back in the day, I used to have trouble logging into my Coinbase due to 2FA. Whenever I would check my 2-factor authentication apps, I would not see any codes for my coinbase account (it means I never added any 2FA for my coinbase into the APP).
It's very likely that the 2FA code they are talking about are either sent as SMS codes to the phone number you used for registering the account or your email address. Please check them to confirm.

P.A.C.M.A.N: Scammed U
 P.A.C.M.A.N: Byee

LOL
Based on the screenshot of the chat that OP posted, it seems P.A.C.M.A.N has been a long time scammer. I can see a similarity to another screenshot shared by another user about a month ago.

Recklessizm also shared a screenshot as reference to the feedback he had left him. it's unfortunate he did not open a scam accusation, but he (the scammer) said the same thing.

53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be a good investment over stocks in a recession period ? on: June 22, 2024, 01:24:20 PM
It would have been a good thing to look at had Bitcoin been in existence before the beginning of the Great recession in 2007. But in general, Bitcoin has performed quite well compared to most if not all stocks from the time of its inception

Let's not forget that back then, the price of Bitcoin was in cents. Today, I don't think we shall see yearly moves of 2,000%, like it was possible back then. So If a recession were to happen today, things may not be the same as they were 15 years ago.
54  Other / Off-topic / Re: autocad on: June 22, 2024, 12:25:12 PM
You can probably get a cracked one in GetIntoPC, they've got a lot of cracked versions of different software and applications, you also should move this somewhere because this isn't a Services related topic, I don't know exactly where though but there's an appropriate board for this one.
Probably the worst advice you can give a member. Getting "cracked" software versions from GetIntoPC and Torrents will increase your risk of having your PC getting exposed to malware. I have seen several complaints about cracked or Modded software. The hackers or crackers and sneak in malware into the app, and you won't even know.

OP might even end up losing way more than the subscription he was trying to avoid
55  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CVX is up over 90% in 24 hours on: June 22, 2024, 11:59:56 AM
What goes up especially this fashion must come down roughly too at a certain point in time. I would be very cautions with coins that just pump so hard overnight for no reason. It could be a coordination between whales to have the price of the coin trend and once the retail traders try to get on board due to FOMO, the whales simply just dump on them and move on to the next shitcoin.
56  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Free Browser Tool for Increasing Website Visits and Ad Revenue on: June 22, 2024, 11:47:34 AM
To everyone reading this: I advice to avoid dealing with this user and his promoted websites. He was previously was red tagged for promoting fake web wallet. So, it's very likely that he comes here with another scam.
P.S. this website doesn't even opens.
You are impolite, sir, in the way you speak.
How is he impolite, yet he was saying the truth. You see back then you sounded so arrogant when you got called out and even sent retaliatory feedback, I guess now things are catching up with you.

Let me even quote the negative feedback on your trust wall from DT members.

57  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The pressure, fear and indecisiveness that comes with trading. on: June 22, 2024, 10:50:42 AM
A huge part of trading is about keeping your controlling your emotions and not letting them alter your decision-making and risk management. Who wouldn't't be scared, excited or anxious once in a while where money is involved?
The difference comes on who you manage the emotions.

I have been affected by emotions so many times when trading. Sometimes I would not want to take the L and keep the position open for so long only to suffer a bigger loss or When the position would be 200% in profit, I would not want to take the profit waiting for it to go further only for the profits to diminish  Grin

Now, the same thing would also happen to some of my colleagues that I would try to teach how to trade, which shows that it's a common human trait.
58  Economy / Reputation / Re: fake bounty campaign on: June 21, 2024, 11:49:02 PM
The question I have now is; what do they stand to gain? At first I thought maybe they created the thread to get some referrals (because Blum is running some kind of campaign on telegram) but after going through all the social media links I noticed that no one had any referral code attached and they all linked to the main account - so if they successfully get users to participate and promote the project what then would they gain at the end; assuming truly the project devs are not behind this promotion.
Social Engineering, maybe? So that they can attempt to hack accounts associated with the users now that they that the potential victims are into crypto.
I also see an unrelated instagram account, maybe the target could also be to get more followers from the stupid bounty bots. Imagine even after the warning, the bots are still posting their proof of authentications  Grin
59  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Non-KYC to KYC BTC Move on: June 21, 2024, 11:18:33 PM
There's no better option than using that very exchange BisQ. Depending on how much you want to exchange, you might maybe face a challenge of low liquidity. The other option is robotsats if you completely don't want anything to do with KYC

I understand that Haveno (Decentralized exchange for Monero to fiat transactions) has been launched. I have not yet used the platform, so I don't know how good it is, but another way would to swap some of the BTC for monero and then use Haveno to trade it for Fiat.
60  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Current Market Price on: June 21, 2024, 10:43:49 PM
Which time frame are you basing on? 6 hours, daily, or weekly?

On a daily, it seems close to what you stated. The previous bounce back in May was from the $56K region, forming some sort of support though it is yet to be tested again, let's also not forget the strong resistance that has formed in the $72k - 73K region since March this year. Going past it will require some very serious uptrend momentum.
