I didn't know that. How about a workaround: don't turn off your computer, but put it in sleep mode when you don't need it?

There are various reasons for restarting the computer.
I don't know which hardware wallet it is, but most of them require a reconnect (human physical activity) after a certain idle time.

Our affiliate program manager says that it is impossible to identify you just through the forum and reply to you in detail. Please write at aff@bestchange.com and provide the materials showing that you were attracting legitimate traffic, we will review your situation.

That is the past.
There are some other things in the plan, so I will probably create a new account for which I would like it not to be under automatic or bot traffic quality control. I will definitely contact you before creating the aff account when the time comes.
45  Economy / Reputation / Re: [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source on: May 17, 2024, 11:03:46 AM
The OP has done great work on the local board and I feel like it did not receive the merit it deserved.
You're linking to a locked topic with a Merit earning quiz. If he has done great work, you should post links to those great posts.

A large number of users believe that merit is the holy grail, and also that older members do not want to give merit to their posts. Many accusations that the merit system is unfair to new and lower-ranked members.
Then we have a thread like this, where it is openly offered to link quality posts to be rewarded with merit, and then you get a suggestion where you need to translate the whole thread from Indonesian to find a post worth merit. A little effort is not amiss if you require someone else to pay attention to you.
46  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: May 17, 2024, 10:45:00 AM
I send 53.XX usd in LTC and received 53 usd BTC back. Almost free. Amazing.

Confirmed in my wallet in less than 30 minutes.

Thanks for the great service.

Oh, I just wanted to say something is wrong because my last BTC to LTC exchange lasted only a few minutes. But then I saw that you used Slow/free while I was still on a Dynamic rate of 0.5%.
Considering the unstable fee in recent months, I avoid the free rate because I don't want to delay the "instant" swap.
47  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: May 16, 2024, 01:31:45 PM

48  Economy / Reputation / Re: Users who spread false/fake/unhelpful information on technical board on: May 16, 2024, 01:21:17 PM
The thread is too long to ask for info, but has there been a final consensus here on how to treat such accounts?
Is it okay to leave them at least a neutral tag as a warning that they are forum-rank farmers? I believe that the negative tag is too much.
49  Other / Meta / Re: Links in Signatures and Posts bad for SEO of a website? on: May 16, 2024, 01:13:24 PM
"Forum comments with optimized links in the post or signature"

I told them there isn't a single case where a brand had a problem with SEO by using their links in the signature.

Is it allowed to use short links in signatures? like bit.ly links?

Links in signatures primarily have the purpose of raising recognition and strengthening the brand. A little bit that I tested earlier, signature links are not particularly important from the SEO aspect, but a website link in the forum profile is even more effective. Especially from the threads you start.
Also, links in the signatures of inactive users have no effect.

Links in a post when the content is useful and has a lot of views are certainly of significantly higher quality and more influential on SEO.
50  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Need suggestion for a good Monero wallet on: May 16, 2024, 12:06:41 PM
When using the feather application with a hardware wallet then it's impossible. Because every time when you will restart your computer, you will need to connect your hardware wallet in order to open the wallet file. It's always convenient to let it synchronize once a week or once a month if you are using the same wallet file. In the case of stand alone feather application [without needing a hardware wallet], it can be used just like bitcoin core.

I don't have much experience with Monero wallets it's been a while since I used it, but do you have to use the feather application if the funds are on a hardware wallet, isn't there a simpler option?
51  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 📝[Discussion topic] Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns📝 on: May 16, 2024, 11:32:15 AM
Honestly, the Bitcointalk numbers have been going on a downtrend in terms of traffic and engagement for the past few months, especially after that mixer ban. People have moved onto other forums, while others just decided to log out.

I got this impression too, without looking at the detailed statistics. I don't know if it's because of the mixer ban, but it seems to me that the activity on the forum is significantly weaker.
They probably evaluated the results at Bestchange and may have recognized that they had reached the maximum on the forum. Looking at the history of sig campaigns here, many services ended the campaign after a short period even though they needed a slightly longer period. 4.5 years is quite long, it requires a lot of patience and of course money.

Some people lost spots in their campaign which led to loss of motivation to visit the forum.
But as for those who followed mixer campaigns and "teleported" to altcointalks forum - from my observation, I think most of them are just now active on both forums rather than switching to ALTT completely. But of course if you spend a lot of time there, then you'll be spending less time here etc.
Not only that, merit distribution is keep declining too.

Many users nowadays like to distribute their merits to their own gangs or locals even though the users they merited have a same quality to other posters. There's a big difference when you post and you get paid or get merit with post without receive anything.
It is a completely wrong attitude that forums are used exclusively for the sake of signature earnings. Once this attitude changes, maybe things will get better.

BTW, why do you think that promotion on Altcoinstalk isn't possible?
Because the traffic on altcoinstalks is small but I don't have statistics that distinguish it.

It's just my own opinion that BestChange probably wouldn't consider campaigning there, but if they do then that's even better.

Right now only mixer campaigns are there, if there are none then it might drop even more.

But we'll see, if BestChange does marketing elsewhere someday we'll find out on which platform.

For mixers, forums like Altcoinstalks are one of the few, if not the only, channels for promotion.
I am also sure that the primary goal of the Bestchange business is not to have its own signature campaign and to give money to forum users. Earlier, I expressed doubts about the effectiveness of their campaign because the participants were a bit lazy, it seems as if they did not pay attention to the campaign goal.
52  Economy / Goods / Re: BRAND NEW Ledger Nano S Plus For Sale on: May 15, 2024, 08:23:31 PM
Cant you just refund it and get full price back? They have such option @ https://my-order.ledger.com/
Considering that @Grantrocks received his/her order three weeks ago and the fact that Ledger's refund window is limited to two weeks only [source (refer to the Important information field)], this is no longer an option for OP [unfortunately].

Also, the question of whether they would like to accept his complaint, given that he opened the package. With all the negative things that accompany Ledger, buying an unpacked (used) wallet from an unknown person is more than risky.

Is the forum decentralized? No, it is not! Is Bitcoin truly decentralized? Do define democracy by the way as this forum is not.
This forum is not decentralized, neither democratic.
I'll just pass on one quote here, I'm not sure who the author is
"Democracy is a great system that allows everyone to feel like their opinion matters. Until you expect something to change"

..

Will you make a blockchain forum? Would you pay a transaction fee to post?  Cheesy
..

Pay to post!?!?! LoL
Paying with some worthless token is still payment, isn't it?
55  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tornado cash founders charged with money laundering/sanctions violations on: May 15, 2024, 05:45:54 PM
Here is an update.
Tornado Cash developer Alexey Pertsev has been found guilty of laundering $1.2 billion.
It is really idiotic to punish the developer, while the co-founder was declared not guilty.

Quote
Tornado Cash developer Alexey Pertsev has been found guilty of laundering $1.2 billion in illicit funds using the sanctioned crypto mixer.

Pertsev, a 31-year-old Russian living in the Netherlands, was sentenced to 64 months in prison by a Dutch court. His lawyers can appeal the decision within 14 days.

56  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Need suggestion for a good Monero wallet on: May 15, 2024, 04:54:48 PM
That's why you should write down the block height or date with the seed words. But that's for next time Wink
I never thought this will be useful in future but now I realize I should have taken a note of it. Once I am able to sync the wallet, It seems better for me to move the funds and take note of the new block height.
OK, at some point when the synchronization of that block comes, the balance will appear, but will you be able to send those coins even though the wallet is not fully synchronized? Or you will have to wait until he finishes sync?
57  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 📝[Discussion topic] Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns📝 on: May 15, 2024, 04:48:30 PM
BestChange said that they will continue marketing to new areas, can you guess where? I mean which other forums will be targeted by BestChange, is it a local forum or other global forums such as forums about bitcoin and others?
All assuming that the only possibility is advertising on various forums, right? Don't you think that there are other channels on the internet besides the forum and that some people don't use the forum at all?

Or the Altcoinstalks forum? I don't think this is possible. Lol
Why not?
They can have a 3x or even more cheaper campaign there. For example, for $200 per week, they can find 6-7 regular posters with quite solid quality, instead of only two members from here.
btw. Bestchange as a service has been there for a long time.
58  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [BPIP] Bitcointalk Public Information Project [Back in Action] on: May 15, 2024, 04:38:40 PM
It seems that something is not working properly here.
The earned merit count does not increase regularly, at least that's the only thing I noticed.

edit. Now I see that the activity count has not been updated either
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mempool Observer Topic on: May 15, 2024, 02:09:42 PM
But regardless of their estimation, we can always set the fee manually, no?

Only if wallet you use let you do that. Few wallet simply doesn't let you do that or only let you choose between few fee rate choice.

This could be also some custodial service.  For example  withdrawal from an exchange/casino/other payment system.

Bad software exists everywhere...

Even if it's bad software, it looks to me like a complete noob who doesn't know much about the Bitcoin network. Still, he uses it for his ordinals and the same shit.

Should I change feebuddy to 12hours interval, or keep 8?

I see lots of pages without comments, just fee buddy
At a time when the network is calm and the fee is within normal limits, it does not pay so much attention. It's ok for me every 8 hours but if you were to think about going back to 12 hours, maybe you could add more info to the chart so that it would be easier to see how much the fee was in the last period.
60  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED] BestChange Signature Campaign | Sr Member+ on: May 15, 2024, 01:41:40 PM
It's a shame that such campaigns are leaving the forum.
This is all I can say.
I can't even rate it, because this is not what I want to read.  Sad
