21  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wasabi Wallet - Open Source, Noncustodial Coinjoin Software on: April 30, 2024, 07:43:52 AM
Well, speaking about operating in Russia, its elimination didn't take so long  Undecided

https://cryptobriefing.com/russia-crypto-ban-reinforce-ruble/

If that's actually true, then someone should tell Putin that his subjects are wrong to ban Bitcoin UNLESS they're not going to lead by example. Because what actually could fix Russia's problems, that are caused by sanctions, is actually Bitcoin. It was built for that kind of censorship - financial censorship.

The ban will be a legal pretext for greater financial control of the population and eventual confiscation of cryptocurrencies. I don't see here that there was anything different compared to everything that the US government and the SEC do. They do this without a publicly declared ban, so it appears that there is freedom when using Bitcoin.
22  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: The airstrikes begin... (Phoenix Wallet) on: April 30, 2024, 05:39:11 AM
Phoenix wallet developers only tried to avoid fate of other wallets that are now banned and seized.

I am not sure if only the official statement about the ban on use for US citizens will be enough even with a banning US users

I had to manually reconstruct the quote since the thread was locked, so I think the wrong UNIX timestamp got posted.

By using the BPIP browser extension, you will be able to copy quotes to the clipboard even if the topic is locked.

23  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk features I've wondered about on: April 29, 2024, 11:30:43 PM
One thing I don't understand is that I see a couple of forums using SMF software as well like (altcointalks and Bitcoingarden) but the interfaces seems a little more appealing and “modern” compared to bitcointalk. Could this be more to do with customization, or just the different versions used?

Once upon a time, I dealt with SMF administration and as far as I remember, it was only a skin. Current on Bitcointalk was the default for this version.
It is possible that a later update and newer versions brought a new "modern" look.

Although honestly, after using altcoinstalks, switching to this forum is a kind of rest for the eyes. Too many icons, badges, empty space... The least amount of space and arrangement is dedicated to the posts themselves, i.e. the content inside.
24  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: April 29, 2024, 11:24:05 PM
I know that there was a discussion about it earlier, but what is the final statement, will there be or is it planned to integrate other "cheaper" networks than Ethereum and ERC20? I imagine that many would like the possibility of swapping to TRC20.
25  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: April 29, 2024, 11:09:58 PM
Razmisljam da se prijavim na kampanju, ali nisam nisam nikad postao na gambling dijelu... Ne znam koliko je to bitno i kliko bih mogao imati relevantne postove sto se tice kockanja.

edit. Prijavio sam se pa što bude, ako ništa drugo pisat ću kako sam prokockao sve free spinove na freebitcoinu (ako me uopce prime u kampanju)

Uvek mozes pisati postove u onim threadovima evropskih liga, to bar nije tesko.
na primer, Arsenal je upravo izjednacio rezultat na 1:1, ako daju jos jedan gol bice 2:1 i imaju velike sanse da pobede i osvoje tri poena. To bi im mnogo znacilo u daljem takmicenju.
26  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Give us referral, we'll give you your withdrawal on: April 29, 2024, 03:59:28 PM
It's like a ponzi where everybody knows he is getting robbed unless he continues.
Absolute shady stuff!!
It's not "like a Ponzi", it's a Ponzi scheme.

A scheme that promises 6-7% per day is obviously a scam, I don't know why people have a hard time accepting it as a fact.

Unfortunately, it didn't. After withdrawing the 10k INR he invested 70k more and now he can't withdraw it unless he invite some referrals which I doubt he would do.

They are just trying to drag him deeper and get more money out of him/his referral. Classic scammers, trying to make as much money as possible from one user.
Maybe he could involve the police, if he managed to withdraw in INR, there is a possibility that they are from the same country.
27  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PNNV.com - Major update #2 - need your review, again! on: April 29, 2024, 03:23:31 PM
Kindly provide me with mixers that have been active since 2018. Even Xmr.To is closed.
Mixtum - 2018
Cryptomixer - 2016
Coinomize - 2019

Jambler has provided API for mixers since 2018, I wouldn't be surprised if they have a partner from the beginning but unknown to us.

100% of my customers who have sent dirty money used in scams and/or phishing have gotten their money back.
If you return the funds because you recognize that they are from illegal flows, then there is no need to do KYC. In this case, it could be a positive and very attractive side for using your exchanges. I would conceptualize the presentation based on that, although I am quite interested in how the process goes through exchanging on your site.

I mentioned that I don't want to be affiliated with ChipMixer
I never scammed anyone on this forum and always dealt with 3rd part services on my own.
Chipmixer was not closed because it deceived anyone, but it was closed by the authorities because it was allegedly used for money laundering. A similar thing happened a few days ago with the Samurai wallet.

28  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk features I've wondered about on: April 29, 2024, 10:41:09 AM
And why does bitcointalk allow these 1990s 2000s ass options that no one nowadays ever uses.

The forum works on SMF version 1.1.19. released Dec 3, 2006. The next version 2.0.19, was released on Jun 11, 2011, In the meantime, Bitcointalk was built and the Btt admin made many changes and customizations. Every further update posed a risk for the non-functionality of the adjustments made until then, so many things remained unchanged
29  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 📝[Discussion topic] Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns📝 on: April 29, 2024, 07:36:06 AM
Any thoughts on that?
I understand the logic, but I wouldn't be surprised if other major campaigns also decided to switch to stablecoins (due to the unpredictability of BTC fees), in which case, either Mitchell would have to change the policy for his Overview thread, or we could need a new summary (perhaps in the Altcoins section) that includes all types of campaigns.

Strictly speaking, only one campaign is entirely a Bitcoin campaign. Where the payment rate is in Bitcoin and not in USD. The service section is much more "popular" than altcoin/bounty, so everyone wants to start there.
However, this is a Bitcointalk forum, BTC and altcoins should not be equated.
30  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PNNV.com - Major update #2 - need your review, again! on: April 29, 2024, 07:25:14 AM
Since mixers has been closed on a daily basis.
Maybe you got that impression, but some mixers have been active since 2018, for example. Also, now I would list more exchanges that are closed than mixers. (I mean functional services)

Quote
NO KYC EXCHANGE = MIXER.
This is a very bad statement, sounds like it's coming from the feds. Everything that is no-kyc must be illegal and bad. I cannot agree with this at all.
In the end, KYC does not have to exclusively refer to exchanges, but also to other types of services.

Quote
And still im not require any KYC unless you send dirty money and the 3rd party will ask for documents.
As I said in the previous post, you should probably have all the terms of use of your platform published publicly. Users must be informed and agree to the rules of your exchange. Especially if the third party can stop the exchange process and ask for additional requests.
To me, this looks like a potential problems in the announcement, because pnnv will be in direct conflict with the user while having very little or almost no influence on solving the problem.

For example, I do not regularly check whether the Bitcoin I received is "dirty" or not. I know that I got it lawfully, but now I have to worry about whether the exchange to whom I trusted and sent my money will seize them because they estimated that someone once used the same Bitcoin for illegal things.
31  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PNNV.com - Major update #2 - need your review, again! on: April 28, 2024, 10:58:13 PM
The honest reason is a 3rd party exchange will most likely ask for KYC and Source of funds.

Can we understand this as a certain change in business?
There used to be claims like this:
I don't need to disclaimer as I have full access to solve any problem that may occur.

I DO NOT REQUIRE KYC AND WILL NEVER ASK FOR IT.

If you use chagneNOW they may ask for it not on my platform.

no-KYC requirements are a very important feature for every exchanger and an option that raises service above the competition. It should probably have defined conditions now, as far as I can see, there is nothing about the terms of use.
32  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Freebitco.in is probably hacked and they are well aware of it on: April 28, 2024, 10:46:49 PM
Last 27th march i sended 2000€ to an account, which shown in the deposit box.

money not arrived, contacted them, they not answer

Have you checked whether the money you sent really went to the deposit address? Check the deposit address on blockchain explorer, to be sure that the tx is correct and safely executed.
For example, there is clipboard malware, which will replace the address during the copy/paste process
33  Economy / Reputation / Re: BitcoinGirl.Club: How a condescending attitude equates to trust exclusion on: April 28, 2024, 08:57:01 AM
I can't speak for the other participants, but in the PM I got from icopress, there was no talk about you in it.

Given that I am also in the campaign managed by icopress, so maybe I can be a part of this drama, I also confirm that I have not received any similar request through PM to exclude someone from the trust list.
What I can confirm is that I received a PM from him earlier, but it was exclusively related to the transfer to another campaign when the previous one (Wasabi) ended. I saw it as taking care of campaigns and participants, which is certainly respectable
34  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam warning - Yomix mixer, turned into an exit scam! on: April 26, 2024, 11:54:00 AM
Flag supported
It is unfortunate to see that they have turned to scam, but action must be taken against them because I believe that some will try to use the mixer, considering that they have trusted them in the past.

It is bizarre that with their transition to the exit scam, they are probably no longer the subject of the FED's investigation.
Who cares about another scammer on the internet...
35  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: YoMix Service Status on: April 25, 2024, 02:46:39 PM
@dkbit98 has a right here. They should be treated as a scam, regardless of forum limits.

I opened the scam warning thread with most of the references known so far.
Also, Flag created

36  Economy / Scam Accusations / Scam warning - Yomix mixer, turned into an exit scam! on: April 25, 2024, 02:40:22 PM
In order not to get into the issue of the mixer ban on this forum again, I will open this thread as a kind of warning about the Yomix service, on which scam accusations often appear.
I hope this is not against the ban rules, because it is not a promotion of any kind, but a reference as a warning and collecting most of the known complaints about them.. (theymos to be mentioned)

Representative account: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3525916
Flag: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3296

@icopress warned, transferring information from other forums:

I'll leave this here (regarding Ym/Cr) [google translator should do a great job through the camera].

XSS is a kind of closed party for hackers, a forum where about 500 users are always online (on Bitcointalk it’s even less). Almost all commercial activities are insured by deposits (deposits that are kept by the forum administrators). As a result, any accusations of fraud are considered by the treasurers (I think you understand that these people have a basic understanding).

YoMix used this forum for advertising for many years and had a deposit of 1 Bitcoin. In addition, the YoMix thread was pinned in the services section. This whole conversation boils down to the fact that after the accusation of fraud was published, and after the treasurer of the forum examined the case, the deposit was confiscated and yomix was banned.

In addition, moderator  xss "bratva" notified everyone that shortly before this, the official YoMix account withdrew a deposit from another forum called "Exploit" (any mixer who wanted to conduct marketing activities had to make a deposit that would cover any claims).

Quote

Among other things, user grozdniyandy reported that the YoMix domain was on the same IP address with some other mixer domains, including digital ones (from which we can conclude that they belong to the same person). A little more than 2 weeks later, the same user reported that YoMix had changed the server.

There are some more mentions on Reddit, but I think the complaints posted on xss are enough.

Quote

We have seen some users before who came for the first time to complain about a service. Of course, we don't always believe such accusations, but they are quite similar and point to the same thing. Perhaps due to the limitation of the discussion about mixers, as well as the impossibility of contact with Yomix representatives, so far there have been no requests to verify the accuracy of these claims.

what happened:

I need to mix bitcoins, so I tried to use yomix (https://[banned mixer]/).

because I trust yomix, I did not check step by step the amount of bitcoins sent to me after each mixing, nor did I check one by one through the blockchain explorer whether I received it Mix Bitcoin (because the yomix website prompts that the sending was successful).

Finally I was surprised to find that the order showed that it was sent successfully, but no Bitcoin was sent to my wallet address (the success deceived my eyes, because at first I thought yomix would not lie to me, but the fact is, after the transaction was completed, the order told me The mix succeeds, the send succeeds, but I don't receive any bitcoins at all).

So I tried submitting multiple tickets to contact order support. It has been 7 days and no one has contacted me and my ticket has not been answered.
The current loss is about US$30,000-40,000.

So, please stay away from this scam site (at least so far my order bitcoins have not been sent to my wallet).

I also hope that yomix can send the funds that originally belong to me after seeing my message, because this is very important to me.

Hi bitcoiners,

I have been using Yo!Mix from the 2022 and everything was great until this time I sent them 2.10 BTC and i have letter og gaurantee, still I didint receive any portion of my order and I tried to open ticket with them no answer and response from them.

Does anyone know if YoMix still in business or they just start to scam people?

Note:

Yes I have proof and transactions history

They are also already marked as an alternative to the well-known Lazarus group, after the closure of other services. It seems that it is only a matter of time when their service will be seized

In the wake of Samourai Wallet being seized (ugh), what do you guys think of me doing an investigation into the circumstances behind the seizure and posting them on the site?

It would have to be on its own page, of course, so that means only on the main domain, with the mirrors linking back to it.

It could potentially be a nuisance if the DDoS attackers come back, but AFAIK I don't believe that I have leaked the IP address this time around.

I honestly do not think that such things as any investigation are the reason for a DDoS attack. For example, bitmover's website bitcoindata.science was also under attack, and there are no accusations or statements about any services on it. Just a few useful tools, mainly for Bitcointalk users.

Ladno je slikao babu kako drzi parce papira "I am IyemRoker from altcoinstalks"  Cheesy

I noticed that their ANN thread in that other forum was locked. Apparently they wanted to open another thread, which never happened ( It was probably their plan to convince julerz12 to keep it locked). Maybe you can advise julerz12 who opened their thread to keep it open such that people can report an ongoing scam under that thread. Otherwise, some people will never know what's happening.

I am not sure if there is a red trust and flag system over there as well.

Officially, Yomix did not appear on that forum. julerz12 opened that thread as part of their campaign a long time ago, but considering the events of the last month, he decided to close the thread. It is a good decision to lock the thread, maybe julerz12 could add some warning in the header.
I don't think there is any plan from Yomix, because no one has contact with them.

As far as I know, there is no part of that forum which deals with scam accusations against different services. Most often about members who received penalties due to abuse or cheating in bounties.  Embarrassed
