I didn't want to post this in the Gulden Announcement page to avoid bias opinions but wanted to know if Gulden is a safe bet compared to other alt coins. The reason I am asking is I noticed there ranking on coinmarketcap is way below other coins that have nothing going for them or is it that the other alt coins are way over priced?
i think today as all the coins are in red color,same as bitcoin and more altcoins but gulden stands still d having a green flag..so i guess its a good investment for now.but i dont know in long term.better watch out what will happen in the next few months Next few months btc will be < $8000, Gulden will be < 1500 sat. Sitting in $$ is the best thing to do and buy up fast when the developers make the announcement for only PoW2 in June or July. SegSig failure will be a hard lesson for the team but they must learn from their mistakes. All big companies today made mistakes while growing. I think $8k for BTC is way too conservative... last time it "corrected" it went from ~1200 USD to ~230 USD, which took over a year (yes, Cryptos react THAT slow). Consolidation phase took another few months before it found its way back up. Based on the previous corrections I would not be surprised if BTC would go down to $2k, but the thing with these long corrections is that a lot of things could happen in that time. Sitting in cash is indeed a good position for this moment, just wait for the bottom. As for NLG, My guess is that the drop will stop around USD 0.07-0.09, where the previous support is. Disclaimer: this is not financial advice, just my view on things. That drop from 1200 USD to 230 USD was also impacted by MT GOX in more ways then one. MT GOX was behind the surge and it's downfall was the reason for the drop. At that time a lot of people thought bitcoin was MT GOX as they weren't educated about the decentralized nature of bitcoin. The normal rule of thumb is 40-60% drop is a good price to re enter the market after a correction. The above is also my opinion and not to be taken as 100% fact. |

I totally disagree with the sentiment expressed above, this level I suspect is the new collection level for investors before the next release. It will move around between 1500 and 2000 sat for the next few months or when PoW2 and SegSig is announced for roll out. The days of not being in the top 100 is a few months away. I would motivate the developers and not discourage them with all this trash talking.

Rijk make the coin with too much supply. EFL price is more stable and higher and this is with no development. Money doesn't need to be smart and only work, a coin needs a halving often to increase the value. Halving with no development is better then no halving with all the development in the world.

Sorry but this is one of the stupidest things I've ever read. You're saying that a coin with no development, stalled, no good team behind it, no updates planned, is better than Gulden, that has a great team, some groundbreaking updates that will skyrocket the price, a very nice support, a real use case that is already working very well (I use Gulden almost daily to buy stuff here in NL) ? Just because of current the price in satoshis? really? WTF? Halving means that you could also get less coins, it doesn't matter the current price, what matter is everything that is behind the curtains. If you measure if a coin is good or not because of the price in satoshis, man... you're really, really bad at measuring cryptos, sorry to say things that way, but you made me laugh. It's currently a game of chess predicting when they will be ready with PoW2 and SegSig or is it ready and they waiting on Nocks to add USD and GBP? |

Yeah, and it is just a matter of time, the update is arriving real soon. Can't wait for it to reach 20k satoshis each  -- 10x is the target of many smart investors that are in Gulden right now if this coin is so good why is it ranked all the way down at 170 on coinmarketcap.com? Bitconnect, 100% scam and has a higher value. The industry is made up of scammers and false prophets. Only when people do proper research will they see the wood from the trees. In this space at the moment scammers with good marketing will do better then Gulden. What Gulden needs is Witnessing and SegSig to be released so it has a unique feature like Dash. I would start putting pressure on the devs and testers for an update on the next release. |

Gulden testing from one of the devs.
Initial basic testing went well but unearthed a few smaller things that needed attention, there was a brief break in testing over the Christmas/NY period to let people be with their families and to put out a maintenance 1.6.x release to help support with a swell in support queries from all the new users.
In the next few days more advanced/thorough testing will begin.
Basically, testing is ongoing, nothing important to report, when there is something worth announcing it will be announced.

That is either Guldentrader, Litebit or Nocks btc address buying Gulden for users who purchase from those sites.
I notice Nocks almost has the same amount of buy support as Bittrex, Nocks will become the biggest exchange for Gulden by end of the month. This is very good for Gulden.
There is a lot more Euro then btc to buy Gulden with and soon people will be able to earn interest with Gulden.
Nocks is leading the charge today, bittrex traders will be waiting to see if bitcoin will rally that the New Year holiday period is over. On some days I have seen bittrex ahead on price but today it's behind Nocks by some margin. Bittrex traders will come in fast once the Gulden developers finally give an official release date for PoW2 and SegSig. |

There is a whale trying to get more coins, forcing sell orders lower but doesn't want their coins sold. They moved there sell wall up from 1210 to 1400, as soon as the price gets close they will remove the sell order again and place it higher. Watch!
Is there a name for such practice? Looks like it moved to 1500 now, my guess is it's being used to keep the bittrex Euro value the same as Nocks and keep the traders that have moved to Nocks to stay there. Higher price on bittrex would mean they come back to bittrex. Testing will soon be over for PoW2 and SegSig update and I expect a official release date 1st 2 weeks in Jan. |

The current rally in Gulden I don't believe has anything to do with the PoW2 and SegSig update coming soon. This is just people finding out about Gulden through word of mouth. Once the world has confirmation on PoW2 and SegSig with official release date then the fun will start.

One of the more technical guys I spoke to, said he was watching Gulden but didn't think that SegSig would be possible, he also said SegSig wouldn't bring in the money like PoW2 as general users won't care about it but it's technically one of the best updates that has been done in blockchain history. The long term benefits of SegSig cannot be underestimated as blockchains become used more.
I told them that since it's in testing it has been achieved and the release date should be imminent, 2018 is going to be a good year for the Gulden.
Gulden devs with Nocks is doing good work. MaNI is leading this, he reminds me of Jeff Kaplan for blizzard. Best developer but never makes a noise and not well known. People are watching but they in disbelief that a coin not in the top 100 will be heading up blockchain innovation in 2018. |

when PoW2 and SegSig are both implemented and the price does not surge, i will sell a part of my gulden. I got them 2 years ago and for a investor the rise of the gulden is ok, but my other coins(the scam coins) are doing much better then the gulden.
Think of the current phase of the DOT COM bubble. A IT company could sell Urine as it's main product and the stock price would be 100 times over valued. Scam coins can get away with it for awhile but when people start getting educated, make sure you not in those scams anymore, those people running the scams will invest in projects like Gulden with they money you give them. Mr Rijk said many times that the gulden is the best and the rest of the coins are scamcoins, he dislikes investors(he does not need them anymore). To make the gulden better you need large investors or it wont work. (Large)Crypto investors are waiting for a release date of PoW2 and SegSig. I am encouraged by Nocks volumes this last few days, giving bittrex some serious competition in price and volume. |

A person would swear it's the other 180 coins about to release one of the largest updates in crypto history. I would suggest to everyone to forget about coinmarketcap.
More then 70% of the coins in the top 200 on CMC are non mineable and these ICOs have to compete for ranking to try get buyers and get rich off people.
I stopped looking at coinmarketcap and I have been a lot better off for it.
This constant cheer leading about super awesome update that's going to revolutionize cryptocurrency is so ridiculous. The strength of cryptocurrency is open source code, available for peer review and critique. None of you posters here have seen the code (assuming you're not sock puppets for the lone developer of this coin). And apparently the update is going to remain closed source, so none of the other far more successful coins can steal this awesome super duper secret technology. Why would you trust a closed source system essentially at the whim of a single person with millions of dollars? You shouldn't, and people obviously don't, which is why this coin is not highly valued (not to mention the scammy premine and subsequent dev takeover of premine and reduction of emission to keep premine as very large percentage of circulating coins). The one part I agree with this poster is we need more proof of this release. I disagree on everything else if the update is true. SegSig destroys SegWit and PoW2 will add incentive to earn interest while securing the blockchain to allow 1 confirm for transactions. The wors part for me is the frustration waiting for this update. I wish I was one of the testers to see what's going on!!! The above poster will also agree if the update is real things will change fast for Gulden. |

Tomorrow, -Friday the 15th-, the first 2 weeks of testing PoW2 including Secure 1-conf transactions, witnessing and segsig have passed.
Hopefully they will provide some feedback on results so far.
I expect to see 1000sat fall quickly when there is more proof testing is going well, especially from those investors that are still holding a lot of sub $1000 bitcoin. That is 2 million NLG, just over 0.5% of the entire supply which will be very cheap for some early btc adopters. Depends who pulls the trigger first. |

This is shittcoin, all coins are green and yes gulden is red red  Since wall street has taken over bitcoin , gonna feel good when PoW2 and SegSig is released that every person in the Gulden community will be using better tech then the snort sniffing wall street bankers. PoW2 gonna make Gulden more secure then bitcoin even at these prices and safe 0 confirm transactions.
SegSig more then twice as good as SegWit. This is the future right in this coin.
Remember the masses always get it wrong at the start by investing in marketing and not projects with real development. This has happened throughout history.
I always love your comments! Didnīt you mention that a few big DASH investors where waiting on the sidelines? That is the plan, with testing having started I know of one investor collecting some of the dumps. The others want more proof as they can't believe a coin thats not in the top 150 on coinmarketcap can be working on a project of this scale. |
