401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think bitmain is secretly mining ETH with ASICs? on: April 04, 2018, 12:56:25 PM
No Bitmain is definitely not mining Ethereum. if they had developed an ASIC then it would be already on sale right now.

Thanks for the lols Smiley

I guess he's new and doesn't know that Bitmain is "testing" miners for months before they sell them Smiley

I meant that if miners existed then they would have created it long ago so they can mine it themselves before releasing it to public. So by now they should have released it (after mining the hell out of em) due to possibility of eth going pos and this is what has happened they are on sale right now within 24 hrs after my comment. I meant if an asic existed then it should be on sale right now not later.
Some were speculating that Bitmain is researching into it and might release it in december 18' my comment was for them.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD mining DEAD NOW with Bitmain E3 on: April 04, 2018, 12:46:58 PM
Thanks almighty that I have only Nvidia rigs. I was going to make 12*570 or a Vega rig this month.

Nothing will happen to Nvidia cards for a long time. There are too many reputable coins of different algorithms. But looks like AMD will be completely out.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Confusion with MasterNodes on: April 04, 2018, 12:38:31 PM
Let me start with masternode.
A physical network node is an active electronic device that is attached to a network, and is capable of creating, receiving, or transmitting information over a communications channel. Here electronic device can be even raspberry pi or virtual private server.

1. If you want to run masternodes of multiple currencies, you don't need to have multiple commuters for that. You can use multiple droplets of digitalocean, vultr, google could. That eliminates demands of multiple devices because each of droplets or instances will have unique static ip.

2. Yes, if you have large amount of coins that you want to put them as collateral for mn's, you can setup multiple masternodes of same coin.

3. There is absolutely no problem for having wallet in same computer.

4. You should always look for circulation supply, volume, development and community engagement for choosing any types of masternode. You should avoid mn with ROI of 7-15 days. Instead, research established projects those are having masternode implementation in their roadmap like WaBi, Block Array etc.

Hope your all queries are cleared.  Smiley

You saved me a lot of time. Some of these guys here think that are too smart to answer my questions. Thanks a lot buddy.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain E3 Ethash Miner ASIC (Shipping:16-31 July. $800 USD) on: April 04, 2018, 12:28:05 PM
I don't think so. Currently, I'm very curios about difficulty on XMR (which was most profitable coin for AMD for a long time, until shitmain started mining on X3) after the hard fork. Who knows - maybe XMR mining will be profitable again this friday.

Even after that, hard fork's difficulty will reach space as all of the ethash miners will switch to it. XMR's fork would be profitable only as long as eth gpu mining exists.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / AMD mining DEAD NOW with Bitmain E3 on: April 04, 2018, 12:16:59 PM
Do you think that AMD cards will be completely out of the mining game now due to ethash miners ? What is the future of Vega rigs now ?

Is there any possibility that AMD will manufacture a new gpu with mining in mind ?
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain E3 Ethash Miner ASIC (Shipping:16-31 July. $800 USD) on: April 04, 2018, 12:07:44 PM
So, judging by size of the miner from pictures and the hashrate/power consumption it's obvious that this is not an real ASIC

It is probably just 6 Polaris (RX4XX/5XX) chips soldered on one motherboard

If this is true (and again, I suppose that it is) then I don't know how can a hard fork help to disable those miners

Probably but it doesn't matter due it's low cost and scalability.

I agree, but again, how can you disable this miner with a hard fork if it's assembled from 6 RX GPU's?

It has same capabilities as a mining rig assembled from 6 GPU's

That makes it even more dangerous. LOL but AMD mining is so dead.

LIMIT was 5 per customer Now it's sold out.

The truth is this thing was never sold out, they say it was sold out to make it look it was a success. It's performance is bad and it can be bricked after the fork, Well you trolls believe anything they say anything, your kind is mindless.

OFC I know they are just playing the supply and demand game but the thing is I think that there are still enough sheeples to make it sold out.

I really don't understand why people still buy this or GPU's to mine ETH, they don't do math?
ETH profitably was long gone...

Regarding this miner, even if it arrives NOW,  would take about 7-8 Months to ROI ( with free power), in 3 months it would take what, 1 year and an half, 2 years? Totally insane.

Come on guys, do math, it's so simple!

Again as said above, you should understand the severity of the situation. ETH was mined by either newbies or big farms. Now what will happen to them ? They will come looking for the coin which you and I were mining happily. No more happy now eh Sad
411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain E3 Ethash Miner ASIC (Shipping:16-31 July. $800 USD) on: April 04, 2018, 10:58:04 AM
I am more interested in their f3 miner and what are his specification then e3 wich is similar hash/price wise to rx rig,i am guessing that they are testing the field with e3 asics to see if eth devs will fork the coin to make it asics resistant like they promised. They are already mining with f3 untill eth team comes out with statement about asics, similar situation like monero asics

Hmmm...you have a point

Holy Hell ! So many Conspiracy theories with Bitmain. This company is really a big thieve, so cunning it has no ethics. If they make miner it's no problem but they mine the hell out of it and think of customers as their guinea pig.

Hope some new legit coin comes out that will solve the problems of ASIC mining forever.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain E3 Ethash Miner ASIC (Shipping:16-31 July. $800 USD) on: April 04, 2018, 10:42:19 AM
GPU mining won't die anytime soon. There are far more profitable coins that are reputable too. But yeah ETH mining with GPU is dead now. It was overrated anyways. But this will have a very bad effect when Farms switch to other coins.

This machine costs less but the ROI will be same as if you bought a 2500$-4000$ GPU rig due increase in difficulty as thousands will be sold in a matter of hours and there will be big mining farms of this.

AMD cards are dead now. Thanks almighty that I read this news. I was going to build a 12*570 rig this month.

But now I honestly think that AMD and Nvidia will manufacture a gpu that will be very efficient in mining. A gpu which will made from ground up with mining in mind. I think AMD will do it first.

GPU price crash ahead, good news for gamers or maybe not because if price dips miners will buy them again.

Long Live NeoScrypt and X16r's ASIC resistance.

414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Confusion with MasterNodes on: April 03, 2018, 10:06:45 PM
Hello guys,

So please help me clear some doubts about masternodes :

1. Do you have multiple computers if you have more then one cryptocurrency masternodes. ?

2. Suppose 1000 coins are required for running a masternode then if I have 2000 coins can I run 2 masternodes ?

3. Do you store your wallet in the same computer that is running masternode ?

I was thinking of making my old desktop into a cryptocurrency wallet which will also run multiple masternodes (if possible or safe)

4. What should I look for before investing in masternodes. I see some of them with ROI of 7-15 days, should I avoid them ?

Thanks a lot
415  Local / Mining (India) / Buying Asic in India in 2018 on: April 03, 2018, 09:51:51 PM
Has anyone ordered an ASIC miner from abroad to India in 2018 ? If yes, can you please share your experience.
416  Local / Mining (India) / Re: GPUs: 2 v/s 3 fan coolers on: April 03, 2018, 08:02:09 PM
Old Question but here you go- 3 fans are always better doesn't matter if the size of the fans is small as heat sink will be larger, they run more silently too (it depends from card to card tho). I don't own it but I know that INNO3d 3 fan or 4 fan cards run extremely silent.

Again it will vary a lot from brand to brand and card to card. I have 12 card rig of same brand and I can see 10-12C difference between some of my cards.

You can't go wrong with tier-1 brands like Sapphire. Sapphire pulse RX 570 2 fan will run at low temp then PowerColor RX 570 3 fan.

418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How to connect through ethernet (Hive OS)? Broadband: SOLVED on: March 28, 2018, 01:39:41 PM
Hello guys. I don't know much about linux. I was mining on Hive OS with a USB wifi adapter and wireless 4g dongle.

Now I bought a broadband connection and I have connected the ethernet cable on motherboard but there is no net connection on HIVE OS. Ethernet cable has lightened up but no internet. There is internet in modem but not on Hive OS. Maybe I have to set it up. Please help. Here's what I see when I type ifconfig command :

EDIT: Sorry to spoil the forum. After a few restarts, now somehow it is wrking.
419  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Altcoins or buying them from mined ethereum ? Strategy ? on: March 21, 2018, 09:19:15 PM
Hi guys,

What do you think will get me more altcoins. Mining it or buying it from mined ethereum.

Just in general, what will be better for new altcoins or unpopular or popular altcoins (if it makes any difference).

I mine some altcoin / shitcoins from time to time. I mined a lot of ETN and so far that has not paid off. I've mined tooooo many TRTL (lol) and I'm sure that will never pay off.

Generally I min ETH and use some to buy a few of my favorite alts.

I see a lot of people still mine ETN like crazy. TRTL is still very new, I think it will pay off once the market goes up this yr.
420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Altcoins or buying them from mined ethereum ? Strategy ? on: March 21, 2018, 09:16:31 PM
It's all about timing and risk tolerance. In a bull market when coin prices are on an uptrend and mining difficulty is increasing, you can accumulate more coins for the same amount invested by purchasing coins directly, but since you only make money if the price when you sell is higher than what you paid, there is more risk. Mining coins allows you to accumulate coins at a lower price than buying them directly, so you have more room to sell at a profit in a market downturn. With a mining rig you can also spread your risk by diversifying in different coins without having to risk more capital. You also have an asset than can be liquidated to recoup much of your initial capital.

If your goal is to diversify in coins by mining and it's on an exchange, it makes more sense to mine the most profitable coin for your rig and trade for the other coins as you get payouts rather than mining a less profitable coin directly.

Currently I mine eth. I was thinking of investing into some altcoins that I think will have some future. I think I can solo mine them too (not sure though).

Looking at current market conditions do you think I should mine those coins or just buy them from exchange. I want them anyway.
