Price decline is a result of traders holding btc positions to see how the price unfolds due to Greek crisis.
Both Litecoin and dogecoin is halving soon and traders are betting on price increases for both coin.
DGB could see sub 30 prices again until the above has settled. My view is that it will be short blip to the downside and a return to post 40 prices in a few months.

Offcourse there is always a chance but Digibyte will stay multi-algo for now. well..that explain such a good coin with so depressing price....as long as it's still a POW and more than 6 millions coin can be mine per day,i don`t see any reason ppl should worry about no coins to buy in the next 20 years...i no mean offence here and i do like DGB but whats worry me is the miners dumping for the next 20 years..i will still invest in DGB but not in mass..right now i spend 10% of my profit from other POS coins to buy DGB...cheers! Untill people see the real value of Digibyte and hold them for long term? That could happen within 1 month -2 years ,, nobody knows what will happen. You buy digibyte from the profit of other pos coins? Thats exactly the same as mining coin X to buy coin Y. Give some other reasons why pos is better? i'm not going to argue with you about POS or POW here for there have been a lot of debating for the topic like that in Bitcointalk..however..i really want to know how the DGB supporters/community think about of POS...will POS makes DGB a better product?i hope for more DGB supporters/community to share their point of view  POS didn't work for Noblecoin. When I first took at look at guldencoin a few months back I thought what a great currency. Logic was telling me that usage was key to success and guldencoin hasn't disappointed, I am not angry that the price of this coin has fallen but I am worried about what people in the alt coin industry are really after? Is it bitcoin, is it fiat profit or something else? The coins that have the most short term success appear to be the ones you least expect as they are dead end coins with not much future.
Is there any reason for the constant drop in price of a coin that is far beyond others in real world usage and community development, if the alt coin industry is just about pumping and dumping low supply coins with gimmicky features then I will just stick to bitcoin as guldencoin is proof people aren't really cared about change and usability. It's just greed.
I am at a loss for words @ what is happening with guldencoin, it doesn't make any sense but it looks like alts are meant for scams and pumps and dumps and not for real world adoption. For goodness sakes even flappycoin is ahead on coinmarketcap.  Just let the price fall to 50 and be done with it! Did the founders leave the coin or what has caused this loss in confidence? Litecoin and Doge are halving soon, bitcoin price is rallying over Greece news and other coins are getting pumped on btc38 exchange. All very negative for guldencoin and price can't be blamed on anyone. The coin is headed in the right direction even if the price falls back to 50, for those with short memories the price rallied from 60 to 1900 in less then 2 months last year and even though that is not a good thing for the coin it just shows how moods can change in the alt coin world. Stop focusing the price and put more effort into marketing the coin. The only negative I can bring up is Rijk and /GeertJohan not being active on the forums they created for the coin, I only browse those forums so not a big deal for me but it did upset some people in the community after the forum change. |

The alt coin market is 90% trading and 10% usage and that is how it always starts off. So due to 90% of alt coins being used for trading low supply coins which aren't even that good will have a higher marketcap because it's easier to manipulate. Traders know they can't manipulate the dgb price easily because of the supply, however if cryptos become the norm coins like digibyte will be better for people to work with as more coins will mean better distribution. Until then the prices might go back into the 30s like I mentioned before. So for now highly volatile low supply coins which are used for gambling benefit traders for a short stint in time. The only high supply coins with good value are Ripple and NXT which were 100% premine basically, doge rewards are halving again so we will see the effect on the price next month. |

In 2 months I expect to see more hashing power come to guldencoin. 2 of the largest scrypt coins are about to go through a halving and if the price goes back to even 500 like litesire suggested we will be over 15 GH/s on the network. Miners are going to need to search for a new coins soon. As per my personal charts for guldencoin I believe we are going towards the cycle low of around 230-250 where we will see major support at those values and a reverse trend back to 400-500 range by the end of the year. price is down :-(
The price changes are due to the huge increase in supply, now that more blocks are being generated again, there is nothing really that can be done about that other than to increase demand.
My observation is that a price of 200-250 will be where supply and demand meet up and already at this price level this coin is by far the best value for money. I challenge anyone to suggest a better alt coin right now at this price. Cryptos are still in the baby phase, Doge is trading at 80 with close to 100 billion coins. This coin will never see 1/50th of that amount after all coins have been mined out and doge has about 2000 active users at most! Every investment is a risk but hell at these prices guldencoin has got to be one of the best. Stop worrying about the price you should all know how fast things change in cryptos. I am not complaining.  |

I think I get what you mean. I think you mean that DGB is currently undervalued. I agree ... but I also think that DGB is fine to keep working and developing and building ... it's great for speculators when there is volatility in market price, but it doesn't do anyone else any good. Speculators are the only people who benefit from price volatility ... I think there are so many reasons to be optimistic about the long term value of DGB. Yes, it's over supply for current demand. It's better to have a stable price as a currency, let DGB fall to 30-40 in the short term. It doesn't matter blockchain tech is the future and DGB will have a part in it. Someone mentioned this on the guldencoin forums (guldencoin also going to have over 1.6 billion after 40 years) and that if the coin had a low supply for all the usage the coin has it would be over 1 million USD in marketcap at least and this also applies to DGB. For a long term view then DGB and guldencoin are the coins to bank on. Have a short term view then gamble away! |

The amount of coins being mined daily saddens me, all the low supply coins with this much work into them are all over 1 mil USD in marketcap but after 8 years if the coin is still going on with relentless development it might be the best long term investment in history. I will keep buying up under 200 when it gets there.
Crypto currencies are in a depression state since the drop off of bitcoin. Compare it to the tech bubble in 2000 and how some of these companies are today. It's all about going with the right one and well I personally think guldencoin is doing it right for future growth and also has a nostalgic element in the Netherlands and if expanded upon can be the crypto currency for central Europe. The simple truth is guldencoin has the correct price without manipulation. Can it go down further in price? Sure it can but I got this deep feeling in my stomach that guldencoin is going to be a hit and I always trust my instincts. |

Guldencoin 2 week average volume is the highest it's been since the coin started. Any reason for the increased activity?
Prices are good at these levels for what the coin offers. People are prepared to buy and sell (multipools) at these rates. |

I never expected NOBL to get into this position but the sad part about digital currencies at this stage is that it does favor the low supply coins even ones that have nothing going for them besides easy manipulation, however as the industry grows I truly believe higher supply coins that have good use will benefit.

Seems you can can about 100 NLG for 50 DOGE at Bleutrade if you wait for someone to sell. Not bad considering you can pick up about 100+ DOGE just from rotating through a few faucets. Thanks for the tip, been mining other coins and selling to buy guldencoin. Very happy with these prices and hope traders can keep it down to these level as long as possible. The price at the moment doesn't make sense but it is what it is. |

Just leave it be Just had a look at their ANN, a link to a post of him being one of the foundation members holding the premine was made. The other person who is also a foundation member also says a lot of negative things, if it's true that coin started as a scam then you can't trust these guys if they supporting the coin, for all you know they were most likely in on the scam as they seem very comfortable with it and even compliment the coins technical specifications and developers. This sounds alarm bells to me. |

Dev update:
At this stage first testing for our (Revamp and bug fixes)Multi Algo solution will be starting within the next 2 weeks. So just to confirm testing will also be done on the 0.10 code base which will include features like multi-sig and fast sync.
