421  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin traders, why don't you just trade forex? on: November 22, 2016, 05:33:42 PM
I see there are a lot of first time traders trading Bitcoin via the hack exchanges of MtGox and Tradehill.  It makes me wonder, why don't you guys just trade real forex?  You can open micro accounts with as little as $25.  You get security far better than these shady exchanges.  You get real customer service with a real business that won't disappear and leave you only an email address to cry to.  You get real trading platforms with reliable data, not some ghetto hack stuff.  You get plenty of liquidity, which allows of smooth trading.  And, best of all, you don't have to worry whether it's legal or not!  Trading is hard enough as it is, why anyone would want all these additional factors working against them is beyond me.

So, to all the bitcoin traders out there... what are your reasons for trading these shady, unsafe bitcoin markets over regular FX?
Cryptocurrencies trading is more profitable than forex trading.
Sometimes, you can double your money in just few days.
However, it's risky.
I am actually interested to forex trading.
But, at this time i prefer bitcoin(& altcoins) trading to make more money.

In theory you can dubble your money in Forex in minutes

In Forex you can have leverages up to 1000x.
so you can make even the 1 minute graph a profitable one. So Forex moves much faster if you know how to. But I understand the dificulty of trading Forex when coming from cryptos. In cryptos you can simply ride the euforia and panic.

bots can work.
but if you can buy it, or it doesn't work very good, or not for very long.
a bot needs steady adjustments.
And if you have a realy good bot, why sell it?
A well programed bot will not need a lot of adjustments since the economic theory is not going to change every week, the only adjustments needed will be if the API changes.
If basic economic theory is the only requirement for becoming a professional trader then there would not be any trading challenges as anyone could learn and become expertise with economic theories.

The basics of economic alone will never help anyone to make profits from trading, but we must need to react different market situations accordingly, otherwise a trader will be thrown out of market very soon. So I believe, coding a bot to cover 'all' market conditions is not practically possible.
I never said anything about basic economic in my post, even in th changing situations of the markets the right move to make is still founded in sound economic theory, so a good bot could adjust its behavior accordingly.

for how long do you observe markets? nothing to do with economic theory.

market changes.
you can make it less optimized so it will work in many market cenarios, but than it wont make much money

www.1broker.com with a platform update on wednesday

Quote
After nearly one year of hard work, we are finally ready to announce the biggest software update in our history. 1Broker version 2.0 will be made available on November 2nd, 8:00 AM (New York time). To give you an idea of the size of this update, more than 50,000 lines of code were written, which took us about 3000 working hours. Based on the feedback we received over the past years, virtually nothing was left untouched:
Brand New Interface

The trading panel and website were split apart and developed from scratch. They will present themselves more minimalist and faster than ever before. Designed and optimized for widescreen displays and mobile devices, you will enjoy a consistent trading experience wherever you are. Instead of bloating it with unnecessary new features, we focused on the most important things: Speed and simplicity.
Social Trading

You will be able to share your trading ideas and copy other users’ trades. With the help of our community you can stay ahead of the game and gain a significant advantage over other “isolated” market participants. If someone follows your trading idea, you will even receive a monetary reward! A perfect opportunity to earn a second passive income by sharing your knowledge.
Powerful Charting

A precise and powerful charting tool is a necessity for every modern trading platform. Our new D3-based software offers a great set of basic functionality, including SMA and EMA indicators, and will be extended further in the future.
¡Buenos días!

In the coming years, we will try to reach out to non-English speaking traders too. As a first step, we translated our website to Spanish and German.
… and much more.

We are looking forward to your feedback and hope you enjoy this milestone.
431  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is there a way to make my trades public? on: October 24, 2016, 11:09:08 AM
time that someone programs something like https://www.myfxbook.com/ for cryptos

Today I found out there is something very similar for cryptos. you can create charts of all your trades and stuff. I don't know if it is possible to share a public page of your acount, but it might be possible or you could request that feature: https://cointracking.info

If the host system (windows) isn't secure then the guest systems are not, too. Better install a linux system on a flash drive and install your crypto tools on it.

Damn; haven't thought of this. lol
running Windows realy sucks
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HZ] Horizon Long + Fair Distribution|Decentralized Asset Exchange on: October 17, 2016, 03:01:14 PM
you Windows guys should run a virtual machine with Linux for the crypto-clients. Windows is not secure for store of value. Use Virtualbox with something light and easy like Fluxbuntu or Lubuntu.

looks like it's the same pumpteam that pumped Potcoin: https://www.tradingview.com/u/MrCoins/

Nah people like that always try to take credit to increase their reputation for their next call.. all those "calls" are delayed and the analysis is just stating known facts. I would be careful to follow this trader since there is nothing to indicate earlier success and it is always impossible to predict future success.

Look at the first Potcoin chart. he is obviously part of it.

@capoeira   Easiest is to lease your balance to a forge pool that pays proportionately to amount you lease. https://explorer.horizonplatform.io/?page=graphs&graph=forgers

I'm trying to find out how, but all the tutorial videos have been deleted: https://horizonplatform.io/how-to-lease-your-account-balance-for-pooled-forging/

Do this:

Choose one of the pools in above link, then log into your wallet on platform and go to top left of screen where it says "Account Balance". On there click "More Info". On next screen click "Account leasing" on top right. Input pool address and length of lease and your done.

thanks.
