so, what exactly would be the point to yet another alt coin?
does it offer anything at all that 100 other alt coins cant already? would any organisation choose to accept this 'jump' coin over BTC or LTC or DRK etc?
i'd put your energy into something more useful, you seem like quite an intelligent person, use it for something that can benefit the uptake of crypto currencies instead of creating another destined-to-fail alt coin.

Difficulty is way too high at the moment. better off just buying in. run your mining rig something more profitable and just convert to DRK from BTC.
|
|

WOW LTC/BTC dropping...cant believe its almost below 2000
They are prob converting into BTC/ DRK
yeh i just dumped my LTC on cryptsy...got less then 0.02 for them. I figure what's the point of hanging onto LTC when DRK is growing. I've still got a few LTC just incase they follow BTCs footsteps but not holding my breath any more!
|
|
|
they're actually listing DRK coin first...so that Mark Karpeles can funnel out what's left of the cash from GOX without it being traced.
|
|
|
I'd make a 1BTC bet that DRK doesn't get to $100 by the end of the year oooh that's a tempting bet to make actually! If the bet was for 1BTC at current price (say USD$500) then i'm in! Just dont want BTC to be at USD$1000 again and DRk at only $90 or so!

Proof that it is NOT another "Pump of the Month" ?
Aurora Maza Vertcoin Mintcoin Blackcoin
Same ol' $hit, gets pumped up overnight, then it crashes and then people are stuck holding the bag.
Except for the fact that DRK has been steadily increasing for around 2 months and each time there's a 'pump' the new price floor is higher than that of the previous price floor. I dont know why people cant accept that DRK is THE next big coin. I've said it before and I'll say it again, DRK will be where LTC is now by the end of the year (in terms of market cap) as it's already overtaken LTCs price. If i'm wrong, the first person to bring up this thread will get 1 free DRK....

This is a test on whether darkcoin is legit:
If Darkcoin came out before Bitcoin, upon Bitcoin being released would anyone care? If no, then buy Darkcoin.
If Bitcoin came out before Darkcoin, upon Darkcoin being released would anyone care? If yes, then buy Darkcoin.
Between Darkcoin and Litecoin, one coin has better technology? Which one? You already know the answer.
Good point, I hadnt considered that BTC would offer no interest to anyone had it been released after DRK. It would just be another crapcoin.

*Clears throat*LOOKS LIKE THERE IS A DARKCOIN ONLINE WALLET THAT HAS APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE - DO NOT USE ONLINE WALLETS, ESPECIALLY THIS ONE IT LOOKS VERY SCAMMY YOU WILL LOSE YOUR COINShttp://darkcoin-e.com/Address is above for warning purposes i wouldnt trust that site with my DRK with a 10-foot pole

such a pathetic thread.
move along people, nothing to see here except angry people who didnt buy into DRK and are now kicking themselves of trying to promote an inferior coin/technology.
The DRK charts says it all

Dear DRK community, I have something I need to get off my chest.
I sold some of my coins at 0.02 the other day. It has been bothering me a lot that I momentarily lacked the faith and vision to hold. It was only a few coins but I am asking for forgiveness please.
I am stronger now and will hold the remainder of my coins and continue to mine at a loss.
I feel better that I have shared.
Thank you for listening.

this is such a stupid thread.
In all seriousness, If i had 200K to invest in crypto currencies, i'd take a sensible approach.
IMO, DRK and NXT are quite strong and have a solid future. I'd put $20k into each.
I'd put another $20K into LTC, I think once asic's really kick in the price will be pushed up.
Then i'd spend another $20K on scrypt asics - ie actual hardware
Final $20k on hosted scrypt asics.
As for the other $100K, keep it up your sleeve for the moment. Very volatile industry, good to have money should you need it to invest down the track a bit.

Mining.DarkcoinTalk.org is now rewarding miners with 25% more income for the next 100 blocks found by the pool. Starting at 8PM EDT (New York) on May 20th 2014. Or May 21st 2014 1AM BST (London) If a block is found worth 10 the reward for all of you mining will be 12.5 Darkcoin. Please join us at mining.darkcointalk.org. Pool works really well, we just found two blocks, but we could still use more miners there. Regarding the bonus condition, could you clarify if it is 10.* or 10.0* or 10.00* for the block reward? Using the block reward formula with "10.*" as outcome, the difficulty would need to be between 1446 and 1642 for the bonus to be applicable, correct? Thanks, nice to see we have a decent hasrate on this pool now, i remember when there were only 10 of us miners! Now there's about 50, nice work with offernig the 25% bonus too. i'm happy to keep my 3mhash there

the next update for Darkcoin is the 25th of May when Masternode Payments will be enabled.
i suspect there will be a buy up between now and then

nice week for DRK is coming!
we just hit 0.017 on cryptsy. wow, what a ride this is going to be with DRK. I think we'll hit 0.02 and then it drop back down to a 0.017 floor. not that i have any idea about reading charts etc...i'll leave that to the experts. I just want to be able to buy up some more coin!
|
|
|
if that was the sell-off just now, it wasnt much of a drop...
i was hoping it may drop back to around 0.008 so i could buy in again. this time, I aint selling either!

Reading this thread and watching the DRK Cryptsy charts are by far the most interesting part of my day at the moment!
I knew there was something special about this coin and I'm so glad I persisted mining with it for the last couple of months.
I've said it before but i'll say it a gain, Evan Duffield is a genius and the DRK community are great.
I'm still kicking myself that i sold off about 20 DRK that i'd mined at 0.0012...about 12 hours before they spiked to .002!
