When BTC-E adds DRK markets, most likely after the MN hard fork, that place is going to go nuts. Apart from LTC, DRK is what they have been talking last 2-3 days.

Alternative theory:

The seller and the buyer are the same person/entity.

What's the point of placing a 8000 DRK sellwall, risking driving everything down and then just buying it yourself. Doesn't that just have an ambiguous effect at most ?

I am not sure. I had a feeling about what might happened in the last ~12 hours but on a second thought that doesn't seem right.
That's precisely the key, one sign of manipulation. Theory: The markets, while volatile in the short term, will self correct to find the right price. Example: I want as much drk as possible, I refuse to pay all the way up and get drk. Instead, let me shake it from weak hands. If I post a big enough sell wall, I hope people will begin to sell, while I begin to buy those orders. This happens everywhere there is 'free' markets.

Yeah, I know that tactic. But it either miserably fails or it's never intended here.
It's more like a guardian angel (a specifically programmed trading bot with virtually infinite ammo) is always picking up those threatening walls before they could cause panic. And it's a good question what happens to the coins but it doesn't seem like it tries to feed them back in smaller chunks at a little higher price (at least not in a few hours).
I think it tries to stabilize the price around 0.014 - not higher, not lower but right there with a +/-0.001 breathing range.
I wouldn't dare to guess if it's a preparation for a big pump or a huge dump or this is the only and long term purpose (to establish stability - or very slowly more that point higher).

K a question about drk , my wallet is 9.1.2 I bought a few coins the other over the past couple days-week (i think I got most from polo and VoS) was debating trading 3 of them the other day and a day later still nothing bittrex is saying they didn't recieve anything and that the coins must have been from a bad fork? I had no clue I would be risking bad coins from either places deff figured they'd be on top of that especially with a coin like drk.... is there a way to tell which coins are from which place and tell where the bad coins came from and if I have any more? should the exchange that sold them to me reimburse me or what ?
