421  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big capital, small risk or small capital big risk - which is best approac? on: September 12, 2023, 08:07:06 PM
Different people with different approach to gambling. Some prefer committing huge capital to high probability small odds while others prefer using small capital to target big wins. There are many reasons for each of these approaches.

While those that put huge capital win more often, their losses are usually painful. On the other hand, those that commit small capital to make huge wins rare win but when they do, they win big; their losses too are less painful. There are other advantages and disadvantages for both approaches but for the sake of this discussion, let's know which approach you think is better and why?
I think I'll stay with small capital with big risk considering in the long run if you wager enough and hit the win you either win or be just at breakeven. The only downside in it is that if you make lot of bets and all ended in losses that considers a huge loss of capital. There's always a risk on both sides but that's just gambling.
422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 12, 2023, 02:22:27 PM
The biggest trend in the NBA right now is the proposal to control rest management on its star players. We do not know yet the specific outcome but it is expected to get a win in the voting. There are cons and pros if this becomes a reality. Teams with aging and injury-prone players are at a disadvantage. But this will make the NBA regular season games more exciting. I am one of those who lost some interest in some of the regular games. In the last few years since the Warriors' 2-title streak ended after the injuries of its two superstars, it became a game of preserving and maintaining its superstars which were openly disagreed by Giannis and Harden back then.

I also heard that it might allow resting but only for one star player per game. This is advantageous to rich teams that are capable of forming a roster with two to three stars. Also, there are no specific details to distinguish a star. Maybe someone who was able to play in the All-Stars?
Not that exciting if we see more players getting injured though. I think there will be a rule of exceptions here depending on the condition of the player that is resting. Maybe those who got All Star in the past or they might consider the stats of the recent years, and for me I think that would be just fine if it's only one star player at a time especially if it's nearing playoffs or in the playoffs.
423  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Grab magkakaroon ng features for crypto, NFT, kelan kaya magkakaroon sa Pinas? on: September 11, 2023, 10:00:01 PM
http://bitpinas.com/business/when-ph-grab-web3-crypto-wallet/
I think madaling ma implement yan kasi meron na silang mobile wallet but hoping if ever na gawin nila yan dapat pagtuonan ng pansin ang mababang halaga ng fees. Ang iba nawawalan na ng gana next time if yun fee at mataas lalo na kung sa bull run ito mangyayari, maganda na maimplement man lang yung lightning network diyan if ever sa Bitcoin sila mag focus or altcoins na may minimal fee at mabilis maisend.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ATOM token opinion on: September 11, 2023, 09:39:38 PM
i was wondering on opinions for future of atom , osmosis , injective protocol , band protocol , juno , secret and thorchain
i am talking long term (couple years) is it worth it to hold , are those still promising projects ? ...reading different opinions ...getting closer to be bitcoin maximalist
thank you
I think ATOM has more future considering I've been with on their group of devs and they are dedicated to the future if Cosmos (ATOM). It's always good to hold long term and Cosmos has good fundamentals. I wonder why asking altcoins when you are saying you're become too close to be a Bitcoin maxi.

426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Friendly wagers in Bitcointalk on: September 09, 2023, 05:32:54 PM
It should be a fun thing only with small amounts and hopefully everyone keeps his word, I know many people would say that it’s better to just bet on a casino but I think it’s more fun here and also sometimes you can agree on better returns.
What do you think about this? I hope it’s not breaking any rules here.
For sure it's fun but wouldn't do it unless I trust that user tbh or there's no escrow to trust. Well, it's not that bad of an idea and can be done on the right board and there should be a rules set to not be abused especially by newbies. We can still see those who are regulars here but always check if they are to be trusted before placing a bet on them, just to be safe.
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LAYER 2 projects to HOLD waiting for the next uptrend of the cryptocurrency. on: September 09, 2023, 01:21:22 PM
I have big hopes from Arbitrum and Optimism. Arbitrum is having highest TPS right now amongst L2s and will scale Ethereum to thousands with sharding (as rumoured, 100k) while many L2s are being built using OP stack (popular being coinbase's Base).
If Base was one of the competitor for sure that will have a piece of the pie here in this list and it's surely steadily rising in TVL. Been using Arbitrum in the past but what I like with Base is that it may scale even more considering Coinbase's reputation in the industry. I wonder if they really have their own token.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Coinbase launch a native coin/token for Base? on: September 09, 2023, 07:42:44 AM
As the title says, do you think Coinbase will launch its own coin/token for the Base network? If not, why? Considering that Coinbase is one of the world's largest crypto exchanges, it could directly compete with Binance's own Blockchain network dubbed "Binance Chain" (with BNB as its native token). The momentum is building for the Base chain, especially when it has the backing of the Optimism Foundation. If Coinbase doesn't launch its own token, it could lose the ability to collect fees from the network and profit from it. Maybe the reason for this is because they're afraid that the SEC might accuse them of launching an "unregistered security"? It would be nice to have an airdrop where early adopters of the platform get rewarded for testing it.

What are your thoughts? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
I think they'll launch an airdrop those who are early but they just kept denying it considering it will be just another easy farm from those who want to exploit it. I don't think they're afraid of SEC but it would really be a risky bet if they will be on the hot seat again because of it. They're on the eye of SEC so I think they're being cautious on what they'll do.
429  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does an online Foodbetting site sound? on: September 09, 2023, 01:39:19 AM
If it's just a contest about food eating that would be fine but if it will be involve that anyone can bet on it I guess that will be easily manipulated. There will be just a random occasions that it's more real and good to bet on but if it's an organized one that includes betting, I'll doubt that to be honest.
430  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Learning from those who have experience on: September 08, 2023, 09:29:03 PM
I want to ask those of you who have a hard addiction experience in gambling and then you can treat it yourself, and today still playing gambling but with the principle of good management and financial management in gambling.
I want to know how you break away from the addiction, you can mention the actions taken or what kind of steps? And how long do you need time to break away from the addiction that has been experienced?

"I want to find out because I think your experience in the case as I mentioned will be useful for readers, especially for me personally"
I wonder if we have that here that has hard addiction to it, that would really be a rare case, you mean a problem gambler that down to the core in addiction? I guess you just have to be consistent to always avoid it or you need to mitigate that urge to gamble. Moreover, I think consulting with a professional will be the best course of action.
431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: September 08, 2023, 03:30:32 PM
Congratulations to Germany and now these current roster already made history for Germans considering it's their first time to head-to-head in the FWC Finals. I think they might get that history to bring home that trophy if they play well just like what they did today. Now USA will assemble the Redeem Team 2.0 for FWC, as I've said before that USA roster isn't that of a big shot compare to what they deploy on 2010 and 2014 FWC.
432  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: KYC matter? on: September 08, 2023, 01:46:14 PM
What are the repercussions of failing to complete KYC on an exchange?
I think you'd have more idea if you'll read that exchange's specific terms and conditions in regards to a fail KYC. As far as I know they may have similarities but I guess it will differ and vary per your residency I guess something like that.
By the way, thanks for sharing.
434  Economy / Gambling / Re: My Take on iGaming Promotion Through Social Media on: September 07, 2023, 09:21:04 PM
I think that gambling advertising  on social media is ineffective and very expensive, since gambling is basically prohibited in most social media

Which of the social media forbids gambling adverts, i think nost of the social media platforms allow for adverts of any kind and these gambling platforms also have their own social media handles they use in making advertisement on their services, they also make use of social media influencers, paid ads services, bloggers, and uses other social media platforms to make adverts and pay them while some are done for free, just as you can discover this forum the way we have a number of gambling platforms making their awareness on this forum through a signatory campaign.
This kind of promotions are not prohibited in my country as many are still advertising a specific platform and you can still see a sponsored post which relates to gambling this is also why many are exposed already into gambling and even the young ones. Social media campaign for the gambling sites seems very effective, you can also add the vlogger who are part of the promotional campaign, there’s so many ways to market the casinos nowadays.
Exactly, they even paid influencers or these social media people just to promote a brand and tbh it's kinda saturated now with too many gambling platforms getting advertise especially at the end of the video and even ads do that as well. It may seems effective if that account has a good reach but even so I think only newbies will fall on it but newbies are that too many to be fooled
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bridge Explorer using Socketscan. on: September 07, 2023, 08:17:17 PM
Will surely try it out and check if I can get that reward. I think this will be good if you're into airdrops considering most or some of it do requires you to bridge on other chains. Refuel would be a game changer if only it has minimal fees compare to other bridges out there tbh and they got a decent chains currently being supported.

Hello guys im posting here regarding the rollbit casino locking my 7000$ deposit money.I opened the account normally and they asked for verification which i did and they just locked up my account without any info.I really hope someone can clear this up since i haven't played, thats just the deposit. All im asking is getting my money back. Thanks in advance.
Maybe it's just frozen/locked for the time being considering what you deposit is somewhat huge for a single transaction. You can read there AML policy here: https://rollbit.com/aml and I think it has explained to you on the email if how was your account was frozen. Just keep contacting them.
New users always know that forums are a great place to find help and attract attention even though we always ignore new users without complete information and cases. currently, every deposit of $2000 or more will require KYC this is a standard rule that applies to almost all casinos so there is no other way he has to go through KYC + 1x wagering before requesting a withdrawal both are ways to anticipate money laundering practices in casinos.
Probably he never read the terms and conditions before he deposited that amount and that explains why it's been frozen. I think if he did this will never lead to this problem but I think he'll get that once Rollbit finish the whole investigation process.

438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Socialtournaments-A way to stop gambling addiction on: September 06, 2023, 09:55:52 PM
I don't know if many of you knows SocialTournaments where they hold free tournaments with different types, maximum multiplier, total points score and other related slot machines tournament, they are managed by Pragmatic Play provider and it is a way to invite people to gambling but I see it as an alternative to people who are addicted, they can stop the addiction as they offer enough daily, weekly and monthly tournaments to keep you entertained without you spending any money and if you are in luck and get the biggest multiplier or biggest score you even win real money to your account which you can withdraw to your crypto wallets.

I am in no way affiliated with them and you need big KYC,Proof of Address,National ID and Proof of Wallet to get your money.Do you think this platform can help people remove addiction,I think it can be a big boost to do so.
Never knew this until you've shared it here and I think the cause is very nice but is there some statistics that shows it reduce the addiction of those who joins here? I think it should have been more selective to who may want to identify as a problem gambler ratger than just random people joining in because that will just lead to abuse just to get those rewards.
439  Economy / Gambling / Re: (duelbits.com) Is it possible for duelbit.com to retrieve my wrong deposit ? on: September 06, 2023, 09:35:28 PM
Looks like no chance of getting it back as per Strongkored's image given and I hope the customer service should be honest with you on that as well. I think moving on would be the best course of action here but it's really regrettable that your money was in the wrong hands already, chance they won't give it back to you of whoever owns that address. If they own that address good thing but chance here is very slim.

By the way, since your token where can we get information on it? The UI and UX for me is really not good and I think this is just a template site if I may not be wrong. I wonder what's the use of the token on your casino, it really triggers my curiosity to know. Well, welcome here but I think you should accept feedback and suggestions.
