421  Economy / Speculation / Re: Raoul Pal - Bitcoins to hit one million dollars and warns about US depression on: April 28, 2020, 07:03:15 AM
Raoul Pal who’s a global macro investor has made a prediction for bitcoin prices that they’ll hit the one million mark in the next five years. Further he’s even compared bitcoin market with gold market to drive his point across, but in my personal opinion both are different assets and hence I don’t think his prediction is correct as he’s based it on a wrong analysis. Also he claims that US markets  is in depression mode, and soon the global markets will also fall in depression which maybe accurate to a certain extent. What do you’ll make of his predictions is he right to use the gold market to make a prediction for bitcoin?, and is the US market already in depression mode?.

Sources:

https://u.today/raoul-pal-predicts-when-bitcoin-btc-price-could-reach-1-mln

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/investors-think-the-coronavirus-has-put-the-us-economy-into-another-great-depression-strategist-172759535.html
There is no further details to his claim and his speculation is basically coming from his own opinion only so we cannot really trust it. If he can further put a good evidence to his claim like how he concluded that US is currently in depression then we can say that his speculation about the bitcoin price will be a little bit genuine.

But considering the event, I am sure that he is not aware to his basis and only put that prediction base on the past prediction by other big personalities. I am not really sure if Gold can be used to predict the bitcoin price and as you can see 1m$ bitcoin price is a very long journey even if we can have 2 bull season within 5 years.
422  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your expectations with bitcoin after halving..? on: April 27, 2020, 04:31:30 PM
What is your expectations with bitcoin after halving..? Bitcoin  price bullish or bearish?
I am not really sure about this coming halving because we are facing a pandemic right now and most of the investors are slightly having a problem to focus in crypto investment. But as what I saw in the current graph, the prices are starting to push upward as we are going closer to the upcoming bitcoin halving so there is a big possibility that the market will be green at the time of halving.

But I am a little bit worried after the halving because if the market cannot maintain it's price there is a big chance that we cannot trigger the bull season instead the dump will happen again and bear season will likely to happen. But I am hoping that the big investors will maintain the increase of crypto prices after the halving so we can trigger the bull season and for the market to become alive again.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top exchange listed bounties is getting sucks on: April 27, 2020, 04:00:30 PM
Is it just me thinking this way or there are other people on here thinking same way? Listed bounty campaigns are getting annoying this year, blockburn postponed payout to bounty hunters, Cartesi split payout into three phases and distribution starts after 30 days of listing.

Too exchange like binance for that matter, bounty allocation was damn low to begin with, I start promoting listed bounties this year because of 2019 tachyon protocol success that lay as a lesson to me but things aren't going as I thought. Harmony one did bounty year ago and I heard they distribute in batches too, price already go down before bounty hunters get their payouts, how is this any fair ?

Please drop your thoughts
I also notice this kind of happenings and I am not that surprised to it because of the current market situation, the project owner wants to survive even in this type of market condition and they are doing these adjustments to make sure that they can still maintain the price of their tokens/coins. That is why, I rarely join bounty campaign in this market condition because it is very risky and there are only very rare that are not doing this kind of stuff.

As a bounty hunter we should expect this kind of situation so it will be best if we will be picky to the project that we like to support on.
424  Other / Meta / Re: Can we trust user that spread false and dangerous news on COVID19? on: April 27, 2020, 02:26:12 PM
I have noticed that there are some people who continuously and arbitrarily disseminate false information about COVID19 here on Forum.

Like posting a Ponzi/Bitcoin Doubler, I think that they can harms other people, since these discussions are about health... and not just "opinions" like "Pepsi is better Then Coke".
Plus they haven't any basic culture on these argumentation and are just copy/pasting theories without a minimum criteria.

I'm talking about the worst of the worst,  posted on forum without any evidence/logic ... just a few examples....
-COVID19 has pieces of HIV
-5G that spread the virus
-which was created in the USA and then released in China
-ops now has been created in china and then spread to USA
-World Health Organization wants to kidnap people
-"THEY" are going to put the Microchips
-follow "non-scientific/unofficial" health suggestion made by fake doctors
a long long list of crappy arguments....

I wonder, can we trust these people who continually spread false and dangerous news by rejecting any logical explanation?

What do you think?
Those are all speculation as they don't have strong evidence to their claim and those people who spread the news can't be considered as trusted not only if they can provide a solid evidence. All the decision will always depend to the reader whether he/she will believe to the news or not.

Every country has the freedom to express their thoughts especially that all the country are experiencing to this virus therefore it is only normal that the affected countries will try to figured out whom to blame to this pandemic and rumors or invalidated information will surely to rise.
425  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your thought during ECQ on: April 27, 2020, 01:18:02 PM
For me,I thought this covid19 pandemic is a wake up call for all of us,not only in the Philippines but all over the world, what if the Corona virus is a man made?and of course the vaccine is also a man made,,and the vaccine contain the chips, that called we save from the covid if we take a vaccine.. but...I read the article before, the article saying we need to wear a chips as our personal identy,we don't have any access like a bank, stores and etc..if we don't have a chips in our body,,,this quarantine think me a lot, what is the meaning of life if this chips happen...should you take the vaccine??
I am not so sure if the governments will easily allow this kind of scenario in case the vaccine will be develop but the individual should wear a chip in order to get the vaccine. As our technology keeps on evolving then this kind of problem maybe a man made, there is a big percentage to it but we can't really point out whether the virus really came from China lab or it came from other country.

Let's just hope that there will be a vaccine to develop asap so we can go back to our normal life again and I am hoping that those chips or something similar that will monitor the individuals will not be necessary just to get the vaccine.
426  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Takes Place Amidst Pandemic on: April 27, 2020, 05:46:01 AM
So boxing promoters from Nicaragua still proceed with their boxing match despite the pandemic, they have taken all the precautions
Fighters are sprayed with disinfectant, ring girls don face masks and socially-distanced fans.

The promoters dismissed the coronavirus  and insist that boxers need to eat and feed his family

They have held this event because the number of infected is not very high in their country.

What do you think about this, do you think that some sporting events have a good chance of resuming?

Check the article to know more

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-8258251/Coronavirus-Boxing-event-takes-place-Nicaragua-promotor-insists-boxers-need-eat.html
Well everything will always depend to their government or to the government where the boxing will take place because if the government is not against it then there is no problem with it as long as they can provide some precautions. But with regards to the situation, this virus is very dangerous so it will be best if they will just postpone this event and resume it once the vaccine will be develop in the future.

Though I cannot blame them if they are worried about the family of the boxers but they should think wider as they can compromise all if the event will cause the spread of the virus.
427  Economy / Economics / Re: How many people have been panic selling? I didn't. on: April 27, 2020, 03:22:56 AM
I've contacted a few friends who hold like me. They're all very concerned by the huge drop, but none has sold a single BTC.
We're all holders.
I know it's huge, but I believe the sharp fall in BTC's price has been caused by a very small number of individuals.
Waiting for data...
If you are a long term holder then there is no room to panic as it is only part of the market that it will go down because after that decrease the market will surely to recover again therefore a long term holder still in a good position to profit. We are talking about the #1 rank here which is bitcoin so you should put more trust to it if you plan to hold for a long term one and panic selling will only cause you some problems like losing some of your invesment money.

But in my case, I was forced to sell some of my assets just to survive from the current lock down that our government has imposed in order to control the spread of the virus.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Will You Start Buying Again on: April 27, 2020, 02:06:23 AM
The market is standing still and investors are on a wait and see now, people are waiting for this pandemic to end and they are following if there is a new vaccine or any vaccine will be released in the next few months, judging from all the news coming out at least 4 countries are on clinical test on a proven vaccine, so there is hope that this pandemic will be controlled.

Will you start buying after the release of the vaccine or are you go going to wait or are you now buying because you know the market will eventually get better.
If I have extra money then right now is the best time to buy again or stock as many currencies that we want knowing that the market will likely to hit the bull season after the halving. From the deep crash of the market and the pandemic, the market still able ro recover slowly as the halving is getting closer.

Upon checking the graph, you will be surprised how the market steadily gaining a green record even if we are still fighting the virus and there is still no vaccine that is available.
429  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now Bitcoin will pump or dump? on: April 27, 2020, 12:55:03 AM

Bitcoin is at a very important level of 7700$-7800$ if it breakout, we may see a 300$-400$ pump. If it is rejected, we may also see a big dump of 300$-400$.

On the other side, we may also see scam wick in upper side and dump.

In this sectuation you should follow the daily chart.
BTC support if it's dump 7200$-6800$.

It will surely breakout to 7800$ easily knowing that we are very near to the upcoming bitcoin halving and the chances that the traders will try to play in this market situation is very low so we can expect a less dump in the following days until we will hit the halving time. The crucial moment will be after the halving because if the market will crash then it will surely crash pretty deep the same to what happened last dump.

So let's just hope that we can trigger the bull season after the halving so we can expect a less dump and a bigger push of the prices. 8500-9000$ will be safest price of bitcoin when the halving happen.
430  Economy / Economics / Re: How can the corona virus end Faster and economy reopen on: April 26, 2020, 11:19:05 PM
So far, the corona virus have been a nightmare to the world and this needs more advanced tech to get stopped.
The corona virus is said to be in the air and has some limit of time to spend in the air.
But the virus keep spreading even if it cant spend long in air or anywhere.
After all the lockdowns in every country, the virus still keep spreading.

So, according to my opinion, I think there is a group of people behind this virus and the only faster way to stop it is by getting the people behind the spread.
As ive seen so far, I know there will be a technology for this and probably, blockchain tech might help also.
Corona virus pandemic is acting like it's gonna be around for long and this will affect a lot the world economy because this is like a kind of war.

Also do you have any idea from there?
Only a vaccine can stop the corona virus and end this nightmare faster so the economy of every country can reopen again. What is worst is, if there are people behind this virus as what you have said because there is a big chance that they have a vaccine already but they are still hiding it and they will only reveal the vaccine if they are already contented with the result.

If China is pulling the string of this virus, this will be a historic pandemic where no country was able to fight it even if they have the latest technology. A war that didn't launch a single rocket but killed thousands of people using this virus.
431  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 500$ - 30,000$ Gambling Challenge on: April 26, 2020, 10:49:13 PM
Hey folks!

In these uncertain times due to CoVid-19 I wanted to do something fun by challenging myself to complete a 500€ to 30,000€.

Some few words about myself: I have been gambling professionally since 2013. My bread and butter is esports; more specifically League of Legends. Ocasionally I will dip my feet in cs:go and football/soccer.
By doing this challenge I want to take people on my journey as a professional gambler and to show you that it's quite easy to make a living out of it by just following some simple rules.

I'm going to apply a pretty agressive bankroll management at first and slow down later down the road. Let that compound interest do the work.  Cool

25/04/2019
The odd is on the lower side but it's the second seed of french league against first seed of dutch league. So quite a difference in level of play.

26/04/2019
This one was played live; I was following the second game and UOL managed to upset ROX after giving away a huge lead. Third game they open with same draft, so I had to take it.

Starting bankroll: 508
Current bankroll: 982.59

Can you provide a daily update with your choices sir and if possible kindly drop also the website where you are gambling. I like to follow your footsteps as I can see that you are already professional in this area. I gamble in NBA and DOTA2 but there are many choices that I was unable to hit correctly so I hope we can also join your journey.

You almost doubled your money in just 2 bet only and I see that the odds in your betting site is pretty good. I will bookmark your thread and I hope you will provide your choices 1 hour before the game will start if you are not betting in a live game.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Making Cov-19 as excuses on: April 26, 2020, 10:58:07 AM
Do not be fooled, Cov-19 doesn't disturb new project from launching, few new projects are using Cov-19 to make excuse, good quality projects don't see any reason to hold because of the pandemic, any project that do this should be considered as Controlled by weak team
I cannot fully agree with you because even a genuine project will have a difficulty in these time of crisis where covid-19 is present as most of the investors are affected with the situation and some of them are force to use investment money in buying foods just to survive the lock down if in case their country imposes it. Aside from covid-19, the market also crashes pretty hard and as you can see the effect to it to the project owner is pretty bad because most of the investors will likely to play safe in this market condition and investing to the newly project will not be their top priority.

Many projects are struggling in this kind of market condition so I cannot blame those genuine project that are making some excuses in this time of crisis but for projects who were able to become successful in this type of market condition, I salute to them.
433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for best investors? on: April 26, 2020, 09:51:20 AM
The fact is every smart investors are on top exchanges as either a full time trader or part time traders, once a new IEO opportunity arise they will be there to grab the chance, that's why IEO became ease success on top exchanges, looking for the best investors? Go top Exchanges.. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
I can't argue with it as the success rate of top exchange in terms of IEO is pretty high compare to those shit exchange and if you are a wise investor then you will surely monitor that exchange if there are any new project that has potential to become successful. Though the risk in investing to IEO is pretty high therefore most of the investors to their project are those professional one as they know better about the output of a certain project.

But for newbies, it will be best if they will just safely invest in top 5 currencies while they are digging some knowledge on how to invest in IEO.
434  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin creating panic again? on: April 26, 2020, 09:09:42 AM

As you can see BTC Doesn't Looks good at all as of noey ! Loosing momentum, Strong Resistance ahead, Hidden Bearish Divergence all are Indicating that we may see a Significant drop in upcoming days !

Only hope for Bulls is that they Make a Strange moves and Anyhow Breaks and Fixes above 7500$. Below that Mark, it's Better to stay out of this Asset !

Important Levels to Watch here is : 6500$, 6200$, 5800$

Let's see how it goes.

It already broke 7500$ and it will continue to increase knowing that the bitcoin halving is very near but I am worried if it can really push the price that hard especially that we are currently facing a pandemic right now. But base on the last few days, the market is very positive which is gaining a green remark until now so we can expect that it will continue until the halving will happen.

But after the halving will be very crucial because if the bull run will not be triggered then there is a big chance that the market will crash again especially if the pandemic will not be resolve.
435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This guy gambles and wins a total amount of £400,000 and quits while ahead. on: April 26, 2020, 07:53:36 AM
Josh Spurling decided to gamble out of sheer boredom since he was locked at home due to the current lockdown situation, and he gambled on two different occasions and on both he won big amounts totalling to £400,000.

It’s also pertinent to note that he’s decided not to gamble anymore as he believes to quit while he’s ahead, but something tells me he’s going to gamble again.

Now I know many will ask me why I feel this, so the answer is simple he’s already spending his fortune away quickly, and he’ll have more confidence in his luck so it’s only a matter of days before he gambles again.

Lastly there’re two important lessons we all can learn from him, 1) quit while you’re ahead and 2) don’t splurge your winning fortune quickly spend it slowly and wisely.

Quote

A SALESMAN won more than £400,000 in online casinos when he was bored during lockdown.

Josh Spurling struck lucky in two games just a few days apart.

Quote

The window and door salesman has already spent £50,000 on a house deposit, as well as presents for himself and his family including his daughters aged eight and three. A holiday is also on the cards.

But Josh is now giving up online gambling. He said: “I feel I’ve had my luck and I’ve done really well. If I carried on I’d jinx it.”

Source:

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11442154/salesman-wins-gambling-online-coronavirus-lockdown/

If he can manage to roll over his money then he will surely stop gambling but if in case he will just use it carelessly and time will come that he will spend all of his winnings without any ROI then time will come that he will think to gamble again. Money is only temporary and if you cannot use it wisely then it will surely fade easily so the outcome will be up to him on how he is going to spend the money that he earned.

And if he already spent 1/8 of his winnings and he will continue that habit then there is no hope for him to really quit gambling not only if he is going to use it in business where he will be earning a profit using his remaining money.
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1 JAN 2021 BTC WILL HIT 100K$ on: April 26, 2020, 06:06:59 AM
hay everyone  Smiley
are you ready to see BTC hit 100k$ this year??
i believe after covid 19 is end all stock markets will be green and BTC will going strong bull run.
at the moment "worldwide" investors is loss and needed short recovery after covid19 is end.
BTC is perfect currency for recovery crisis monetary in the short term caused by covid19
The prediction is very interesting as there is a chance that it will happen especially if we can finally solve this pandemic as the market will surely to skyrocket as the investors will likely to buy back again their assets that they have sold during the lock down period. But 100k$ is very challenging prediction price because it is like x5 of the current ATH of bitcoin price.

So I can't really assure whether we can really hit that price even if we can solve the pandemic problem in quarter 2 of this year 2020 and let's assume that after the pandemic the bull season will be triggered, less than a year still a very less chance for the market to increase that much. But let's see whether we can really hit the 100k$ bitcoin price in Jan 2021.
437  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people run away from trading!!! on: April 26, 2020, 05:17:45 AM
I have been reading a lot of articles on the forum and i have to say a lot of people are already giving up on trading due to some minor/major setbacks.

I write this article today to explain some few reasons why i think people are not really comfortable with the trading environment.
1. Lack Of Proper Trading Education
A wise man once said " Lack of education causes lack of progress which in turn causes lack of motivation". Most new traders have a common believe that the trading market is a Fast Money Producing market which is very wrong. Instead of learning the basics of trading and develop a reliable trading skill they settle for Signal groups or end up investing in a scam so called (money multipler groups).

2. No Risk Management
I am a victim of "No Risk Mangement". In my earlier days of trading, i always try to maximize profits neglecting the probability of the loss if a trading day/week doesn't go my way. The market is becoming unpredictable day by day, therefore traders new or experienced need to have a proper risk management regardless of your analysis of the market. I personally enter a position with 3 -- 5% risk of my total equity.

3. Lack Of Patience
The trading market is not always green or red, it's unpredictable as i mentioned earlier so there will be good and bad days for a constant trader. The aim of all traders is to at least 10X their loss in profits but if this is not the same for you, you need to be really patient with the market and try and go through your analysis and strategies all over again. Sometimes it might even require you changing the pairs you trade.

Additional information and advices would be appreciated. Thank You, Stay Home, Stay Safe.
It is very easy to say those words but the problem to it is the execution and that is the common reason why many people are running away from trading. A small mistake in trading will endanger your capital or money even if you have patience, risk management and proper trading education.

Those can't be mastered easily not only if you have plenty of experience in trading therefore trading is only for the people who have guts or good in decision making.
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are research on altcoins for long term investment worth it?? on: April 26, 2020, 04:48:20 AM
After checking through through altcoins,
their ieos,
the immediate pump after ieo,
The stable price and volume for few weeks, months,
And the sudden crash in price,

I want to say that any research on altcoin whatsoever is pure waste of time & energy. it's only the coin devs/team and that can guarantee someone the exact time to invest & exit, it is better to invest and hodl altcoins on the short notice and take profits.

when you're ready to hodl for a long time. It is better you do all that research on trading TA wise for btc & eth than any other altcoin whatsoever.

This is my ample opinion, i will like to further learn from suggestions
The project owner can easily dump the project anytime they like therefore those investors who keep on holding the coins of that project will surely lost their money. This is the worst scenario that we need to avoid especially if we can found some project that has potential in the start but the assurance to continue it until the end is very thin compare to bitcoin and ethereum as they have proven already their worth.

Therefore the best altcoin to hold for a long term are those who have worth already and has a good ranking compare to those newly created project as there is a very less chance that they can survive that long especially if the team have reach their goal already. Once they already reached their goal, they can just dump and start a new one again to continue gathering some profit. That is how I see the movement of the project owner here, therefore be wise if you like to hold an altcoin for a long term one and make sure that they are worth to hold.
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: May I buy Bitcoin & Ethereum now? Or I am late? on: April 26, 2020, 04:13:27 AM
I just read an article that bitcoin halving can make a big jump in Bitcoin and Ethereum price. They said Bitcoin can hit 10K USD, and for that, the author described 5 reasons! So, should I buy now or the price is already high? Which will be more beneficial, Ethereum or Bitcoin? Please help me out.

Thank you.
You are not yet late because if you are going to check the graph the market is still recovering from it's big crash and if you will buy now make sure that you know how to hold and sell only once the market will hit it's peak. You can invest like 50/50 in eth and in btc so you can check which of them has the potential to grow more.

And also there is no late in crypto as long as you know how to hold and you know when to sell, crypto will test your patience so make sure that you have it also.
440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling cause you to have difficulty in sleeping as a gambler? on: April 26, 2020, 03:09:01 AM
Cry This is my personal experience: I am a gambler who loves gambling mostly on sports betting and have had series of experiences which some a positive and others negative but for the purpose of this thread; I am going to talk about my negative experience.

Just a few days ago, the government of my country made an announcement about stay at a home policy which made me get boredom. During these few days, I have been involved actively in gambling mainly on virtual sports betting which I have lost beyond my imagination.

At first, I lost a whopping sum of #30,000 (NGN) in a local currency, I played some games and won with some good profits which I used to Carter for the family but went the next day to meet my Waterloo during which I lost the said amount. This has affected me and caused me a sleepless night because the said money wasn't for me but the entire family for upkeep during this trial moment. I am regretting my loss because the remaining members of the family aren't aware of this loss. This has not happened to me before now until this compulsory self quarantine from the government.

To my co-gamblers: these days are tempting, ensure to be more careful with your savings and "never gamble what you can't afford to lose"
It's pretty difficult to be in that situation knowing that you are in lock down and you will be needing that amount. Being bored is the common reasons why we keep in gambling in this type of situation but I am hoping that you should be careful next time and use only the extra money so you will not end up to this bad situation again.

In my case, I still have a control to my gambling expenses so I didn't came across to this kind of situation yet where we will be having difficulty in sleeping because of our loses.
