Another loss today. Is there anyone who can voucher for their picks in the two prior years where they say they hit 64 percent?  The last 16 picks they are 7-9.
422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Is There So Much Talk About The Dark Side Of BTC? on: January 29, 2014, 09:19:07 PM
The news media LOVE negative stories, anything that will make people watch them.  Sensationalist news is all the rage and it's a real shame.  People would rather see everything as black and white and not get the real news stories about what's going on in the world.  Laziness and stupidity.  Watch the local news, for instance.  You think they would ever report a positive thing about bitcoin?

regarding the 25% bonus, is it for any deposit or does the deposit have to be 2 BTC or more?  I didn't see anything about 2 btc or more on this thread but you have that on the site.
424  Economy / Gambling / Re: STAKEBTC.COM | Sportsbook/Casino | INSTANT Deposits/Withdrawals | Live Support on: January 29, 2014, 07:38:44 PM
I was checking out the demo:

I was prompted to enter an amount to bet and it used dollars. WHen I deposit BTC, will it be dollars or credits in that box that I'm supposed to put in to risk?

Bitcoins are converted to credit at the ratio 1 BTC for 500 credits. The how it works page discusses that.

No I do understand that, I'm just asking when I officially deposit BTC is it going to look different or is it still going to have the dollar amounts when I go to place a bet.  Just don't want to mess it up
425  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitBook.biz - Bitcoin sportsbook - Instant Withdrawals - Widely Trusted on: January 29, 2014, 07:37:39 PM
@bitbook.biz

maybe we should talk, I think I could solve your liquidity issues
for the popular leagues (NFL, NBAA, NCAA).

(= taking parts of the action)

That way you would be offer to able better limits for the players.
As you can see on the last pages this has become a problem for more
and more players.

Wondering why you wouldn't send him a PM as opposed to putting it out there for all to see?  If Bitbook was going to do something like that they'd probably not want everyone to know about it...

Sounds a bit like Dooglus mistake at JD once.  But because BTC transactions are final Imo the coins belong to him as it was your mistake.  Again I would send back 90% of the coins, as me having to deal with this but if he doesn't he now controls (owns) the coins.  Unlike a bank with USD they could sue a person for this mistake btc you cant, again one of the great things about btc.

INteresting point but I believe you could sue the person who has the BTC if you could locate him.  It is still rightfully anonibet's money.

ANyone have any experience with regard to payouts?  how fast did you get your withdrawal?  I wouldn't be wagering much but I like the bonus on the first 5 wins, but want to make  sure I can withdraw as well, if I win.

I use bitbook and stakebtc and get all my withdrawals instantly from both. I have done big bets on both and mainly only use stakebtc for nhl 1st period bets and when bitbook restricts the limits on certain games.

Funny Nascala that's what I'm thinking about doing too. Ok good to hear payouts are instant. They have the 10 percent bonus which sounds good too.

Following up on my last post does that mean that because I now have three posts on this thread I have a 3x chance of winning a given hash?

Following up on the prior post there was a similar site that had a post on the forum and everything and it totally just disappeared one day. I think the more the OP is involved in the forum and communicating the better.
432  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: I CANT give bitcoin away for free! on: January 28, 2014, 09:17:39 PM
my sister emailed me about the bitcoin news today, she told me to sell my bitcoins because if you own them you are gonna be arrested.

Just saying this is what regular people think about bitcoin....

Really...wtf - man, its always 1 step forward 2 steps back for btc.

How we ever going to crack mainstream with those silly perceptions out there. Sad

Please someone offer some basic bitcoin education to the mainstream journalists and public.

I think they have the knowledge, they just think they'll sell more news if they make it outrageous and extraordinary, with a good dose of bad things happening to people.  WHy people watch the local news is beyond me, it's all garbage.
433  Economy / Gambling / Re: First licensed online casino to start taking Bitcoins! on: January 28, 2014, 09:14:08 PM
what the heck is going on in this thread?  which casnio is open here, and what region do you need to be in to play?  seems like 2 posters touting 2 different casinos.  Plus from what I understand there are already licensed Bitcoin casinos.
434  Economy / Gambling / Re: AnoniBet Sportsbook Live Betting on: January 28, 2014, 09:12:56 PM
Honestly, I don't think it's fair if you used it as a parlay.  I was talking about a favorite, something that will net you a couple BTC, and then the honest thing is to send back the 15 btc.  Pushing your luck too far smells like being too greedy to me.  No offense, just my opinion.

So coinbet just replied to the slots issue but nothing about withdrawals?  come on

437  Economy / Gambling / Re: AnoniBet Sportsbook Live Betting on: January 28, 2014, 08:34:01 PM
So here's the situation:

I was contacted via anonibet through the message system here at bitcointalk that they offer larger betting for a higher stakes player like myself.  They sought me out based on some of my other posts. I deposited 15 BTC the following morning, tried to place a couple bets and their system had me locked in a low betting range, roughly 3 BTC.

Needless to say I was annoyed and moved my money onto another book (the past few days I have been trying out several to see who could accommodate my stakes).  I felt like they lied and wasted my time. One thing I did enjoy was immediate withdrawals, no delay.  I think that's a necessity when dealing with bitcoins.  no reason for it to not be near instant.  Good job anonibet!

This morning I wake up to an email from anonibet saying that they've sent me another 15 BTC by accident and would i be so kind as to return them.  I of course dont have direct access to the address they sent them to as i'm not the owner.  its another online betting facility.  I just hunted down the extra 15 BTC (as i said prior i'm shipping BTC all around and I had no idea which site that address belonged to) and I'm happy to say they're sitting there all neat and tidy.

Now my question to the bitcoin community is, what would you do if you had an extra 15 bitcoins?  I'm fairly certain most people would keep them, 15 BTC can be life changing and most people involved in bitcoins have a fraction of just ONE, so 15 is probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 50-100x the average of what most people hold.

The answer to that question will not change my mind, I already know how i'm going to handle the situation so with that in mind please answer truthfully as to what you all would do if you stumbled on $12,000 USD extra dollars in your wallet (real or online)?

Honestly I think you return (MOST) of it, explain to them you had to spend your time tracking this down and keep 10% (1.5BTC) and send back 13.5BTC.  And you did not appreciate the "bait and switch" tactics.

Bet it all on some major favorite, pray it wins, then send them the 15 BTC back and keep the rest.

I can't withdraw. Anyone have the same issue or the site is becoming fishy?

Dude, the site's been around so long and Stunna is so active in the BTC community.  Why assume right away the site's becoming fishy?
439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gifting on: January 28, 2014, 04:50:58 PM
What you don't seem to understand is that just because YOU are making money does not mean it's not a pyramid scheme.  You are getting those BTC from somewhere man...it's from the people below you.  And at the end, the people at the bottom won't get ANYTHING.  So it's a pyramid scheme.  You need to either look up the definition, or you just don't understand it, for whatever reason.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gifting on: January 28, 2014, 04:26:11 PM
Well, there is no doubt this is pyramid scheme.

Some will get some BTC, some might get a lot of BTC, and many will lose 2 BTC.

EDIT: This also certainly in my circumstances should be left on this forum - should be in gambling if it's allowed at all.
