421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fiat-to-crypto - what's with the fees? on: November 14, 2019, 02:36:36 AM
Can't you do it the other way around? Ask to be paid in crypto then sell as much as you need for fiat and keep the rest? Both reducing your risk and fees?

Changelly is well known for its high fees but it is because they provide you very fast way how to buy cryptocurrencies, without registration or KYC.
If you would like to use similiar exchange, look at Coinbase for example.
The amount of fee is related to the quality of service. If a good service is provided then the fee charged is also relatively a bit higher. There will always be a trade-off among priorities. It someone desires fast transactions then he will have to pay more. Different exchanges give different options. One should choose his exchange according to his requirements. Coinbase is pretty fair with the fee and services.

That's not true. I have seen $1-$4 very cheap fee withdraw fee just as good as $6-$10 over prices fee. Coinbase is not too bad I agree. I think finding an exchange in your country is the best idea.
Maybe if you know who runs it or at least can speak to someone if something ever happens.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Videocoin Is Really Worth To Invest? on: November 12, 2019, 07:00:58 PM
Let us hope this gaming platform is not like the others and won't just fail like so many before it. They have a working model which is so much further ahead than most things in the past. It is also on a good exchange it seems. As far as investing in crypto goes it looks pretty good. Thank you for sharing the link now we can get a piece of the cake just for registering. Maybe it will get people to invest further. I guess that is the point.
I like what I see I might just invest too.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Saving for a House! on: November 12, 2019, 06:52:18 PM
That's risky. If you fail it will end badly. This isn't really money you can afford to lose. Why don't you invest the money into a company or idea you have or some sort of business?
I would recommend you do that over risking it for crypto. Only risk crypto investments if you already have crypto from the start or if you have some extra money you can use to invest that won't shake your whole world if you end up losing it in the end. Something like a house is too much of a risk to be playing games with.
424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red trust accounts wearing signature..... on: November 12, 2019, 06:45:27 PM
Presently i detect that few bounties still allow red trust accounts to wear their signatures, i think this means the bounty project is been managed by bad bounty manager or what do you think? for example E3T bounty allows red trust account, is this normal ?

This had been happening for a long time.
Why the sudden brought up to this?  Huh

It is the campaign managers take if he want to input it in the rules.
Mostly ICO's doesnt have much participants when it comes to signature campaigns.
Maybe that way they could add some more even though they are tagged with red. It doesn't mean though that the user is associated with them.
More like another help to advertise the campaign.

I don't know why this user brought this up either. It is almost like they are trying to look for trouble. I don't bother about trust unless it is for a scammer. So many people get red trust for such light things and they are never given the opportunity to reverse it and it is permanent and that is not very fair. I think trust should be wiped clean after a while but if you scam then it stays because that is a thief and a crime. But if it is for some people having quarrels then it doesn't matter. If you think this is what is important when choosing a project then you going to lose all your money.
425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin lower its carbon footprint? on: November 12, 2019, 06:23:54 PM
In my opinion the bitcoin network needs to take responsibility and change so that it has a smaller footprint, it just isn't responsible to burn such a large amount of energy for such little utility.

what do you think the legacy banking system runs on, magical fairy dust? no, it runs on massive amounts of energy. same with gold mining, coin minting, etc. that's the correct lens to view bitcoin mining through.

this is fundamentally a human problem, not a bitcoin problem. if humans didn't need money, we wouldn't need dollars, gold, or bitcoin.

until that problem is solved, the best we can do is steer energy consumption towards sustainable sources.

It is all in perspective. You cannot really compare things like the way that user is trying to. I am not sure how many kw the bank users everyday but I am sure it is a lot.
The internet apparently uses 70billion kw per year https://www.forbes.com/sites/christopherhelman/2016/06/28/how-much-electricity-does-it-take-to-run-the-internet/#3490838f1fff
Bitcoin users 5million+/hour so it is 45 billion a year

So basically 60% of the power it takes to run the internet is the same as it takes to mine bitcoin.

100 million TH in the bitcoin network and a Richsun Bitmain Antminer S17-56TH/s that users 2500w on full load at 56TH
So that is 2 million miners x 2.5kw= 5million/hour

Quite crazy. I wonder how the bank compares.
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help us understand your priorities when investing in Crypto on: November 11, 2019, 07:05:22 PM
I filled it out but you asking the wrong questions. None of this impresses me in the least. How about tell us what the project actually is?? What are you maanging fund for? A dream? Or an actual working service or product?
If you have nothing to show then we move on. Then you also asked a few times about profitablitly. Again I ask profit from what? A coin with no use at all that you can mine and exchange for other equally useless coins?
OR can I actually use the coin for something.
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need your advice! on: November 11, 2019, 05:50:13 PM
There have been many social network attempts and some are fairly good. But I don't think there have been attempts of a social network based on money spending and givebacks and getting points back.
Advertisers would use it since it gives them good exposure and it looks like a decent app and has a good amount of users. Google play store is very active so using your app to get exposure is a very good idea
and will give exposure both on google play and on your actual website. It is also good for helping people find good deals and everyone wants a good deal.
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitTorrent (BTT) coin! on: November 10, 2019, 01:47:50 PM
I have tried to use BTT many times to earn coins seeding but I cannot. How do you do it? I don't have a single coin. I have used many torrents to seed with but I don't know. Do you need to use really popular torrents?
Which should I be using and how many coins can you make in a day with a 5mb upload speed?

I honestly think MediaCoin is much better. Go and have a look, all you do is download an app and start using it and you seed files you have and you will get paid for sure I have tested it. The media coin itself is listed on the exchange as well. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5179834.20
429  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tools for managers to check quality of posts (both merited & unmerited posts) on: November 08, 2019, 09:29:51 AM
This forum is too selfish for a merit system. How many merits remain dormant in so many users accounts. I bet some have not to spend a single merit. You should be punished for not spending merits.
I have no merits left to give and never do since I always use them since that's what they are for. Pity most people do not share my view and would rather horde for no reason. Funny how some people can spend hours on a forum making tons of posts yet cannot take 2 seconds to help someone out. They do not give you enough merits either. They should take the dormant merits from selfish people and give them to users like myself so we can actually give them out. When I post I look for nice posts. Not posts I agree with but just well-written posts. To try and be nice and to encourage people to be active. People who don't spam and can have a nice conversation online deserve merits. These other clowns can stay on their current rank. They bring nothing to the forum and I cannot stand selfish people. I often feel so band since I have no merits to give anyone and I see nice posts everyday. How can you call this a good system if the people who actually use it are so limited??

Another thing is if you look at the merits graph you will notice there is somewhat of an inner circle. You will notice many people within the same group meriting one another. All those merits have done has increased the gap between the normal user and the elites. I have even seen many times even long term users give merits to people who are admins and do not need them and to people who are already legendary. WTF even.

You get a merit-based on one persons opinion, not on quality. Popular people and topic starters get so many merits. You just shifted from spamming to basically sucking up. Many topics are created with the sole purpose of getting merits. How does that solve anything? The reason for making topics is the same as the reason people use to spam.

Some people don't enjoy making topics and they are severely punished for it. Those who have ranked up through merits have sweat blood to get there. They find articles and things they hope others will find interesting and only care for what others will like not what they like or what they believe.

People who often deserve merits will never see the light of day since their posts get buried by shit. Merits are totally pointless and only reflect how much sucking up you can do and who you know. Introverted people are doomed. How is that a fair system? Not everyone wants to be the centre of attention all the time to suck up merits.
430  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain and Social Media on: November 08, 2019, 09:02:09 AM
What is everyone talking about? You having full-on conversations about steam it and other things just based on the OP?? Why not make your own topic?? This topic is trash. The OP has one post and this is it. Doesn't even come back to check or anything. The OP must not have a life or something to just make posts for no reason. If they are so serious where is the link? Don't come in here making topics that you don't even plan on finishing.
Trash topic. People have taken the topic over basically. People just come here to make posts. I can't believe the topic is this long already. Yes, I realize I am posting here too but I feel I had to say something. Since people just post anything just to be paid.

There are already many places like steamit or social networks that pay you.  Try this one https://swirge.com/ It is awesome. There is pivot on android app as well as two others which you will find when you search for pivot on the googlestore.

I don't think it'll be that cool of a feature to be honest. When social media platforms get to the point where they are basically able to generate income for people, things get a lot more heated.

The usual shitposts we see every week or so become every day, because people want that money which means we'll see more spam and shitposts, just for the chance of them being paid out.

If you find a way to prevent this, I would be very interested.

concept, platform is now built but not present yet, it's considered as under development.
I reckon service discussion is the place to go.

Nope, you don't understand how it works. If you writing a blog does spamming and writing crap help?? Nope, no one will read it. Yo ucan make some money spamming but you waste your time. Quality content will pays for years. So you think a few cents is nothing. Yes but you forget that the article you write will pay you out for as long as the site is functional. Now how does it sound? Getting a few cents every now and again adds up over the months or years. Now imagine you have 10-20 or even 100 will writte articles. Now you making entire dollars every now and again and you get more from refferals and any affiliations you do.
431  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is 1 bitcoin is a good price as now? on: November 08, 2019, 08:47:21 AM
I'll say. I love it when bitcoin hangs around the 10k line and flirts with 9k and 11k. Nice and stable as far as crypto is concerned.

As a bigginer 1 bitcoin or 1 BTC is good price for me because i have no idea to get 1 btc so there for i am willing to learn more how get or how to recieve more points or btc.
You have 2 choices
1. get it for free
2. spend a little money to start your capital and learn in trading

the first way maybe you need enough patience because now to get this way is very difficult. but if you are interested and serious then the second way will give you more results
whatever the choice if you have a strong determination then I think everything will produce results
btw, 1 BTC is very expensive and that is why the first choice is starting to dim

Get it for free? How do you get a bitcoin for free? Win a competition? You to earn one through work. If you need capital for trading then you need to work to get that capital. Unless you already have that money to begin with.
You don't have to trade there so many other ways to make bitcoin. Many many places online now pay in bitcoin as well so all you need to do is choose that as a payment method instead of paypal or credit card.
Lol and then again you go on about getting a btc for free. What is this delusion you are under?
432  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: New Faucet Site on: November 07, 2019, 06:17:05 PM
Faucet are a waste of time especially as the possible earning you can get from them are poor and wasteful when compared to the time you spent on trying to get through the process of getting those free cents. I'll recommend you find something better to do with your time instead of trying something most users have tried before you, and came to a conclusion it's no longer worth the effort.

This isn't true. With more new users joining the crypto world all the time they need a place to start and that place is faucets. If you introduce this influx of people to faucets and they become referrals you can make a nice amount. Obviously, if you do not use referrals you are wasting your time on cents. But if you have 1000 referrals making a few cents every few days for you passively then it is worth it. You can even make your own faucet.
433  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning] Fake Brave Bounty Program Giving 1,500 BAT Tokens to each participant! on: November 07, 2019, 06:13:47 PM
Thanks for the warning. What activities did the form want you to do? I am trying to figure out what they got from this? Unless they tried to get you to install some fake browser?
I do know that they could be creating email lists. Email lists can be worth a lot of money and people even sell them if they feel like they do not need them and wat to squeeze a quick buck out of it.
Other than that I cannot see the benefit.
434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Would Happen To Bitcoin If The World Had To Go Into Recession? on: October 31, 2019, 01:52:34 PM
What are you talking about? We already are in a recession. Fiat will just keep losing value and people will look to something more "Stable" I say "stable" because bitcoin is volatile but its value will hold better than fiat I think. It might not suffer the same kinds of inflation problems fiat has had to face but it will a better choice a believe.

I think the price will go down since people will be desperate and stupid for money. People won't have enough money to feed themselves never mind investing in cryptocurrencies.
435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin May Extinct on: October 31, 2019, 01:45:55 PM
Bitcoin going extinct is about the same chance that the internet will not work anymore. It just won't happen. It is too late. It is already here and it is here to stay.
Bitcoin has proved its value and can you honestly imagine not having bitcoin? A life without bitcoin is like how a life without the internet would be. You didn't know you needed it until you had it.
I can't see myself going back. I rely on bitcoin far too much and I am a firm believer.

added some answers to the post according to your answers Smiley

I would give you merit for that but I have none. Silly merit system. I am not sure why no one is giving you merits. Everyone can reply for their post count but not give merits.

436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is difficult to accept in countries on: October 31, 2019, 01:38:22 PM
Bitcoin doesn't need to be accepted by the state or anyone else for that matter in order to be used. What you use as a medium of trade is up to you.

It is true that many now separate bitcoin and blockchain. Yet in my opinion between bitcoin and blockchain is an inseparable unity.
For example related to china's state news which started to accept blockchain technology, but not with bitcoin. In my opinion it is only
natural why bitcoin is so difficult to be accepted by the government. Because bitcoin is a decentralized is protect its users, bitcoin
cannot be controlled by anyone, bitcoin has a volatility price and bitcoin is always linked with money laundering and terrorism. So,
seeing that reason makes bitcoin difficult for all countries to accept in the world. As long as the negative stigma is still attached to bitcoin,
it is indeed difficult to convince the government to accept bitcoin.

Only insane countries like America think bitcoin is used for terrorism. The whole money laundry thing.... They like a bunch of thugs collecting their protection money but they call it "taxes".
What's all this talk about getting the government to accept bitcoin? Who cares what they want? They have nothing to do with it.
437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to Bring Water to Ethiopia on: October 31, 2019, 01:17:37 PM
I think we need to stop drawing water from under the ground, it is causing some major problems, and increasing desertification. The Chinese are starting to provide desalination plants, and this would seem to be a better solution. It provides a pretty marginal reduction in sea levels, but more importantly, it starts to replace the groundwater, and can lead to reforestation if managed correctly.

This is a great suggestion and environment-friendly, too. This is also what some developed countries are doing such as Singapore. The problem with this is that it costs too much for a charity organization which is highly dependent on donors. For sure, they cannot handle the costs for such an ambitious yet highly preferred option, especially if their target countries are located within the central parts of Africa. It would be impossible. Governments have the resources though to undertake such desalination projects.

I noticed that Bitcoin and crypto is rising as an alternative form of donation for charities such as this. I wish this project the best of success in the future. Africa really needs our care and attention.

You just need to make sure you have people you can trust on the other end who are receiving the bitcoin. The good thing about it is that you will know where the funds are going since it will be recorded on the blockchain for all to see.

This is another thing that bring a good and use the Bitcoin for good. A lots of thigs are keep on coming the Bitcoin way but everything has its reason. And now, for this kind of activity or should I rather call, a project for bringing water to the people of Ethiopia, is a help that should be keep on doing using the presence of Bitcoin if that what can resolve for it.
Another good news for everyone that will change our world, it will create crypto adoption in that country a will be a big help in crypto too. Little by little we are growing too fast, with this we are creating a world that changes everything , innovation and widely used will make Bitcoin adoption grow faster.

It is good to see bitcoin making differences in peoples lives all over the world. This is what happened when we take the power from greedy banks and governments. We need more positive things like this for the media to see. THough the media would rather hear about the ugly since that is what sells best unfortenetly.
438  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why did 95% of traders fail and lose money? on: October 31, 2019, 01:10:19 PM
I think too many people think you can just start trading without any prior knowledge or experience. Since there is no real way to study it only with experience will you learn. So they think that if they just buy and sell it is easy. All you have to do is "buy low and sell high" very easy to say and very difficult to do. Most people do not make money immediately and because of this they give up and think it is too hard or not worth it.
That is a common problem with people, they give up with too much ease. People think things will come easy and trading is one of the most difficult and stressful ways to make income.
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest only in active projects on: October 27, 2019, 07:48:19 PM
Most people will rather throw their money at scam projects and cry later.  Cheesy

Investing in a dead coin is the greatest mistake every investor could ever make. I for instance will never throw my money into a coin with low volume on exchanges because the possibility that such coin will soon wash out from the surface of the market is high
investing in coins that do not have a lot of volume will make your funds go to zero, it takes courage to invest in coins that are still at the development stage. because the risk is very large if the project successfully develops there will be benefits but if it fails then the investment will lose

There is nothing wrong with investing in coins with a small volume. That means it will be easier for you to get a better ownage of the market.  Buying in the development stage is the best time for true believers. Though people invest in anything it seems. Most coins are not developing and will never be more then they are at the moment.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for your feedback! on: October 27, 2019, 04:51:30 PM
I did join pre-registration thank you. I guess it is just a waiting game now. Do you have any extra incentive to offer early supporters/users?
It would be cool to get a bonus.
Tell us more about where you see this project going and why we should pick your exchange over all the others?
