441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Spectre.ai information - Trading platform now LIVE! on: December 12, 2018, 08:10:14 PM
And again a new best mark: 100.57240 ETH reward distibuted compared to 69 and 71 ETH the two weeks before, really nice rise! I hope it will keep up this way!

i've holding my spectre since the beginning, but i've never asked for my stakes yet
Just to know: how much is the stakes for 3000 tokens?

Thank you!
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should invest is Annuit Coeptis NOW for 2019 on: December 12, 2018, 08:06:26 PM
WAVES is up 100% from last week trading now at $2! There are some serious investors who doubled there money! WAVES is independent from BTC!

how can we judge a coin for a single pump? how many coin i've seen raise and raise...to disappear only few weeks later.

It's better wait imho.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO+Bounty] Midex | Financial platform with LICENSED exchange on: December 11, 2018, 09:53:57 PM
Bitcoin Garden: Midex Launches the First EU Regulated Crypto-to-Fiat Exchange
https://bitcoingarden.org/midex-launches-the-first-eu-regulated-crypto-to-fiat-exchange/

Midex, an international company with HQs in Estonia and representatives in Asia, has announced the launch of the first EU regulated crypto-to-fiat exchange. With the trading performance of millions of operations per second, a wide range of deposit and withdrawal methods (wire transfers, payment cards, instant payments), support of the top trading pairs, and a robust security system, the platform is here to meet the needs of crypto beginners and professional traders.

The key pillars of the Midex exchange are legality and safety. Midex is the cryptocurrency exchange that has obtained a termless operating license with the number one (FVR000001), allowing it to provide services of exchanging virtual currencies to the fiat and vice versa.

Moreover, the platform has developed an advanced security system, according to which the main assets are stored in cold wallets, where the private keys are presented as multi-sig, hence, not a single person in the company is able to access e-wallet at any time. Keys have never been performed to the devices or connected to the web, and are stored in geographically distributed locations. The Midex alert system blocks any operations in case of violation of database integrity or an unauthorized change.

When it comes to the crypto-to-fiat exchange, the ability to easily deposit and withdraw funds are a sticking point for many platforms. Midex already launches with such payment options as bank transfer and cards (VISA, MasterCard, and JCB). In the beginning, most of the deposit methods are free of charge....

this is really interesting.
I really hope that some of you may help me to understand better some of this info. What do they mean with "EU regulated crypto-to-fiat exchange"? what is the difference, for example, from kraken (that belongs to europe too)?
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That made my day, really on: December 11, 2018, 09:46:57 PM
Well, looking at the pic below you can actually see and understand how delusional these dudes are. Or rather the ones whom they are trying to feed this bullshit to:

They are going to have 1 terabyte blocks in the future, and they call that scaling, wow. I'm curious as to who's going to save all this data and where exactly unless they switch to a central server model? But then they wouldn't need miners, blocks, or blockchain itself. This is a dead-end, by any margin imaginable

Am also utterly curious if anyone takes this seriously

maybe they think that in 20-30 years, an avarage hard disk will have 1M terabyte...

to mee is pretty unrealistic, but if is it only a possibility, what's the problem?

446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty needs KYC to receive reward? on: December 10, 2018, 05:19:32 PM
I've been in the bounties in this past few weeks in order to do something in order to have some earnings in my free time, probably to join a signature campaign since it's doesn't required a full time to do it and you hold your own time to complete the tasks needed by the campaign.

After hovering for a couple of page there's one campaign that gets my attention because of its presentation and the concept and solutions of their project to the existing problem (Whitepaper) so to make it short it's a legitimate project, after reading the thread there's a note stated that "Campaign requires KYC." well i'm not from the US but this concerns me, for what I've known a KYC stands for "Know your CUSTOMER" so basically it's for the investors or the customer of the certain project.

According to Wikipedia a "Know your customer is the process of a business verifying the identity of its clients and assessing potential risks of illegal intentions for the business relationship. The term is also used to refer to the bank regulations and anti-money laundering regulations which govern these activities."

In my understanding a KYC is a document needed in order to know the credibility of a certain person (investor) if the money they going to invest came from illegal works, money laundering and also to know the status of a person if he/she is has a criminal records for the certain country, etc. but in this case it's required in order to get the rewards.

As a bounty hunter and a fellow forum user this concerns me. Giving personal details to anyone on the internet is VERY DANGEROUS in today's era we can't live without using technologies including online banking, etc. it means they can use your personal datas in order to do illegal works and the likes, but let me give you the advantages and disadvantages of it (According to my own perspective) why they're requiring users to pass KYC documents in doing bounty works.

Reasons:
- To control spam
- To avoid users who uses multiple accounts
- To avoid cheaters
- To avoid abusers
- To get personal infos and used to illegal works (It might be right?)

Effects: (For bounty hunters)
- Risk

Summary:
There are different possible reasons why the project requires the users to submit KYC documents. Probably a good reason or a bad reason but no matter what sending a personal documents or a personal valid ID is very risk for the users.

Solutions:
There are some ways in order to avoid risk in sending personal details/KYC to bounty campaigns
- Review the project
- Read every technical details
- Review each team member
- If the projects seems unprofessional it's a scam

but the safest way is not to send any information of yourself on the internet.

Disclaimer: All of the statement, solutions, etc. above are according to my observations, opinions and perspective on the said topic it might be right to others or wrong to others. This section might be wrong (I don't know where to post, maybe in meta? please correct me.) but I posted here because most of the bounty hunters are wandering in this section.

I disagree.
You say that "Giving personal details to anyone on the internet is VERY DANGEROUS", but everyone give personal details online when we use our online banking or financial service.

The truth is that we don't have enough faith in crypto's world or crypto's world can be already trusted.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What If Nothing Change In 2019? on: December 10, 2018, 05:15:58 PM
2018 is not a profitable year for almost all Crypto enthusiasts. Though there's an increase in adoption of blockchain technology but almost all crypto assets have lost close to 90% of their all time high and there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel. In some weeks now, we will say goodbye to 2018 and the hope of market recovery will now cling to 2019. Though am not trying to be pessimistic but what if nothing change in 2019, what if the bear market continues unabated, will it be the end or sign of the end for Cryptocurrency because I don't think many will still continue to retain their hope if nothing positive happens at least for the first quarter of 2019.

it's simple.
We will wait for 2020.

You don't have to look only at the price or the market cap. There are lot of project in develpment, including bitcoin and ethereum themself. It must mean something.
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How did you end up with shit coins? on: December 10, 2018, 05:14:17 PM
i would vote "other". Even with shit coins, i hold.
Usually because price is very low so i think is silly sell them, and also i have no time to try some trade.

right now remains less than 3 weeks and i see that the amount is still the same. Not even a dollar more..

I really think that devs must do more marketing.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: December 10, 2018, 04:35:02 PM
99.99% of dapps are useless and create no value. Stop drinking smart contracts = future of everything kool-aid.
99.99%!! That means usable Dapps are countable on fingers. Are there any Dapps which Lauda herself uses and applauds? But as far as Dapps go, I think the only reason people use them right now is for monetization. You know, like use a social media Dapp, earn some tokens and then sell them. I have yet to see something really innovative that can't be done on centralized apps.

oh, things can be done on centralized apps, but maybe, sometimes, is better when they are in decentralized apps, for example some financial and banking service.
centralized and decentralized dapp have huge difference and you are right about decentralization financial and banking service
for example when deposit or withdraw your crypto then decentralized Dapp exchanges are very fast because you control you transaction with you own determined gas and on centralized exchange withdraw fee fixed and you have to wait more for you withdrawal process to finish
i am big fan of decentralized exchange like forkdelta and idex currently i am using
eos transaction speed is fast and Dapp exchange on EOS will work faster then eth based Dapp exchange
Which is absolute bullshit. What you call a DEX is, objectively, at best a semi-decentralized exchange. The devs can do a lot of things that the owners of centralized exchanges can. Stop drinking kool-aid.

No worries, the EOS cartel will blacklist/undo the transaction(s). We're talking about a decentralized currency after all.  Roll Eyes

i know we are OT, but, if you want,  can you tell me more about the part in bold?
why you say that right now, dex like forkdelta are at best a semi-decentralized exchange?
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: December 10, 2018, 04:32:22 PM
The next big Ethereum upgrade called Constantinople is now postponed to early 2019.
Apparently, the developer community wants to take a cautious approach and doesn't want to rush with the release.

https://coincodex.com/article/2730/ethereum-constantinople-upgrade-targeted-for-mid-january/

the mining reward from 3 to 2 ETH per block, with no price spike will be a big headache for regular mining community

things move quickly in crypto's world. Maybe for 2019 march things will be different.

I don't know..3 to 2 means 33% less. It's not so low..

i think that we will never know that happened. This drop have really no explanation. It's only speculation? It's only panic? I don't know, but there is no reason for this price.

NO reason. So i think it's only a matter of time.
Same here i am bit upset about crypto market and should be! journey with ETH & BTC ($1,400 - $85)   ($19k - $3,400)  Embarrassed
Weak hands selling their crypto assets or there is another reason that we can't find out.

i hope this too.
I really, really, really, has not be able to forecast this huge drop. I'm a bit worried.

Most of all i have faith in the recovery becouse of the introduction of pos

So, finally they launched alpha version of Blossom. I requested access but so far can't login. Has anyone got access?

I got it, just remembered that i had requested it and forgot all about it. Well least the alpha is live now. I am still unsure when the tokens will be on the markets.

that's a good news.

Can you tell us something more? How well does it work? Which content you can see? Are you satisfied, even if is an alpha version?

So far, only the internal structure is organized. You can't share or view anything; you can create a watchlist, but it will be empty. I think it's not yet even alpha version, but the concept/vision of the platform.

ah. i'm bit disappointed to read this words...
this can be call alpha, this is a pre-pre alpha. I mean, a tv without the possibility to see anything is not a tv.

Added paid subscriptions and a choice of payment options for them. The site has become much faster. SED tokens have not yet transferred to the personal account, so I can not say anything about the quality of video playback.

they are moving forward, great.

6.99sed is a subscription for a month? Do you have already an idea about what kind of content will be possible to watch?

thank for your info
