441  Economy / Economics / Re: Can human stupidity affect the movement of the market? on: September 26, 2018, 12:31:48 PM
Whatever we are doing with the our coins definitely affect the movement of the market. We all know that the price of any cryptocurrency depends upon it's demand and here demand is the number of people buying and selling .So with an increase or decrease in the demand the price increases or decreases .The demand of any coin is affected by a positive or a negative news about that coin. With any positive news the price rises as the demand increases because people start investing in it more and vice versa.

I don't know if I wanna call human stupidity but rather bad judgement of the current market and some panic. It will effect the market in the short term but these people will learn eventually as long as they don't give up on crypto. It can have adverse effect if said people leave the market after loss but it can also have positive long term effect if they don't. We should keep things optimistic and market will reflect it.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People say altcoins won't survive on: September 26, 2018, 12:27:08 PM
I do not agree with this opinion because the Altcoins want to exist depends on many factors. Altcoins will survive or not due to Bitcoin because when Bitcoin increases or decreases the Altcoins will also affect. Altcoins that do not have a strategy or development orientation will be easily eliminated. Therefore only the Altcoin that adapt well to the living environment can survive. And maybe only about 70% of Altcoins can survive.

Altcoins that do not adapt to their living environment generally get delisted from the market. I think there are too many variables and its too easy to say that altcoins will not survive when you don't have in depth understanding of all the variables that play in the market. I doubt they will go anywhere. too early to tell. To me it seems its just repeating old cycle.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacking kills the cryptocurrency market on: September 22, 2018, 06:06:51 AM
Hacking is not a new phenomena. The first instances surfaced in 2011, when Bitcoin was just 2 years old. And we need to remember that in a huge majority of the cases, the hacking incidents turned out to be insider jobs.

correct. hacking can be helpful in making network more secure. losing money sucks though for those who have but hacking in itself is not really a bad thing, it makes developer work harder to make their network more secure. We've had exchanges who've shut down and kept all the money and I think that is much worse.
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN accepted for Airline fare and School fee on: September 22, 2018, 06:00:49 AM
I'm a Filipina and there's a lot of posts posted on social media that our local airline,  Philippine Airlines and STI school now accepts Bitcoin. This news will create a stir and this will help spread information that Bitcoin is not scam at all. I know in the future there will be more businesses and companies will accept Bitcoin too.

What's your view on this? Does your country accept Bitcoin too?

Wow this is such a great news if true. Is it true? sometimes people spread rumor for no reason but to stir the market. Have you confirmed it with airlines? This could really show them that bitcoin is getting huge. it would be a big help.
445  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To hell with regulations and government interference on: September 21, 2018, 03:17:05 PM
Hoping I'm not the only one in here feeling this way or I assume S.W.A.T. will be at my door in a few minutes.

I see most of the forum members in here thinking we need the government to step in to regulate crypto.  I see others flocking to KYC to make sure they get the latest airdrop all the while losing the precious commodity of privacy.  I even see others hoping and praying we get the ETF approval so prices will really skyrocket and we can all get rich.  The ETF is going to steal control away form us and give it to the paper pushers.  Everything the majority of the forum is doing and hoping for is giving the movement away to the same power structure which is screwing us all over.

We need no regulations.  We need no KYC.  We need no ETF's.  What we need to do is show the world why Bitcoin is better than government FIAT and let Bitcoin take over that way.  We have a real shot at gaining freedom of finances however it seems most are tripping over themselves to give all that away to the government as quickly as possible.

Please consider government interference in crypto for the future generations sake.  They will not have the amazing earning potential we have.  They will just get a shit sandwich of every transaction they make begin on a public ledger.  Perfect tax slaves.  Are we handing our kids over to the system by allowing the governments to just step in like this?

I think there are bad players in crypto industry as well that can only be taken care of by government regulation. You're correct about not wanting it but we do need some kind of compliance to deal with corruption. Besides regulation can really help with adoption and bring more people to crypto world. It was going to happen sooner or later, so called govt wouldn't wanna miss on it.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook Campaign no more!! on: September 20, 2018, 01:38:45 PM
They shouldn't be banning it, one of the best places to get new investors for your coin is through facebook, there is a large reach of people there and it is a perfect place for new cryptocurrencies. What they should do is to impose more rules but out right banning it isn't advisable. They have not banned it yet and I don't think that they will ban it.

It's a good place for advertising your product. I have seen few campaigns here and there so I'm not sure if banning still applies. It would be their loss if anything since there are so many other ways to advertise your campaign on different platform that are just as popular as facebook.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: market conditions are destroyed. on: September 20, 2018, 01:35:42 PM
I see the current market conditions are very testing patience. All coins fall and keep falling over time.

Is there still hope for going to the moon and getting a profit ... ??

What do you think.

I think it's little pointless to talk about market testing patience at this point. It has been testing patience for over nine months now and I think this is the time to bring money in crypto. Time is shifting and people are looking for safe haven for upcoming shift. what comes down must go up and crypto is no exception.
448  Economy / Economics / Re: WORLD CRISIS IN 2018 on: September 19, 2018, 12:36:34 PM
By 2018 the world economy is falling, there is currently chaos in the economy around the world. there are even some countries declared bankrupt by the world this year. a country that is able to survive in conditions like now only countries that have a large gold stock. China and America are currently collecting gold from all over the world. the goal is to maintain their existence and also to survive the coming crisis. I want to know whether cryptocurrency, especially bitcoin, will be affected by the current crisis? I want to hear from the seniors here.

You seem to be overly paranoid for recession. World economy is not going to fall and even if it does it would be far from chaos that some people have in their mind. However, it would be good for cryptocurrency as people would need to invest their money elsewhere when real recession hits the market but it won't be as bad. no chaos.
449  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government really scary? on: September 19, 2018, 12:32:56 PM
Many people say the government is not interested in cryptocurrency. Many people think the government has prohibit
crypto to protect investors from risks. Maybe in your country, that's true. But in some countries, especially developing countries, the government just wants to rob your assets. They rob publicly, lawfully and as much as possible. they are really bandits.I'm not afraid what they do. Because we have many ways to fight them. But this world is not as simple as you think. They can kill you if you are demonstrating.
You can ask any vietnamese that : Do you support your government ? I bet 99% answer is never. 1% remaining I'm sure they are goverment employee or their family. Wink

You can tell a lot about citizens of any country by looking at their government. If you're speaking of developing countries where government is robbing assets from people then you must also blame the people for choosing that government. What is stopping them from replacing that government with legit one? laziness. I don't think they're the only one though, I see a lot of people talk a lot of things online but they never take any real action to change things. action is needed by the people not by the government. Government is doing what people allow it do. it's a reflection of corrupted people.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happen if the token or coin does not get into the market? on: September 18, 2018, 03:15:24 PM
I have some coins and token in my wallet and for some time now no news about the platform or coin. What happen if after we all struggle to support ICOs through the different media and beyond even our capacity and the token does not get into the market or what is paid to you as reward for your support is something that is almost as good as nothing, what do you do in such cases? Is there anyway to remove such coins from your wallets? Personally I did some airdrop when I heard they were good but my rewards are so little that I wish there is a way I can delete it out of my wallet.

that has to do with current market situation. I have seen many of them still holding back from exchange. Why do you want to delete them? just keep them in your wallet. What happens if you delete them and they get listed on exchange? it's better to be safe than sorry. few extra tokens in your wallet don't hurt anybody.
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation good or bad? on: September 18, 2018, 03:12:13 PM
In my view, regulation will be good for Crypto industry. As we can now see  that many Govt are looking for ways to regulate the industry.

Regulation will be a good thing in the long run. It will build trust for the industry among the masses thereby resulting in mass adoption. With regulation, people will feel more comfortable and have a sense of security to invest in crypto.

I don't believe that regulation means we have to declare our portfolio. Just as nobody cares to know exactly how much you own in the bank.

Regulation will also help in curbing the possibility of using crypto to launder money and place a check and balance in ICO which will make it very difficult for scam ICOs to operate.

I say regulation will in the end be a good thing for crypto..

What's your view about it?

If you had asked people few years ago their opinion would be completely opposite of what you're seeing in this thread and it's understandable. I think regulation can help more people get involved in crypto and overall it will be extremely helpful in wider adoption.
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100 usd enough to start trading ? on: September 08, 2018, 07:28:12 AM
I have 110 $ ...witch crypto is best to start trading with a small amount as 100 $ actually i'm in etherium ... i see a verry small progress .. is there another crypto more profitable and faster with 100 $ ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

It would've been a lot few years ago but not today. Assuming your intention is to learn trading and not gaining anything big, it's good amount to get your feet in.
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When an ALT gets listed on exchange how is the price determined? on: September 07, 2018, 12:46:03 PM
Hey guys,

Question I have is: once an ICO is over and later an ALT coin/token gets listed on exchange, how is the price of the ALT determined?

Is there for example a formula that is used by exchanges based on ICO sale price or is it just pure supply/demand? So in the case of the latter, does the exchange simply list the coin and let the buy/sell orders drive the price?

Also to add to this question, if an ICO decided to give away ALL it's coins/tokens as an airdrop, can it still be listed on exchange? Or that would not be possible?

Look forward to feedback on this.

price is determined by sellers and buyers. starting price is set by the owner and then buyers/sellers decide where it goes from there.  sometimes there is wall to keep it from falling below ico price sometimes there isn't and market completely decides the future. generally doesn't happen since no one wants to see their alt going down the drain but sometimes it does depending on your choice.
454  Other / Archival / Re: Future of crypto is good or bad? on: September 06, 2018, 03:18:14 PM
I want to invest my savings into cryptocurrency. So I am thinking about the future of cryptocurrency. What do you think? Do you think the future or cryptocurrency is good? Or do you think, the future or cryptocurrency is bad?
Please help me, because I am going to invest all of my savings. So if I make a bad decision me and my family will be on the street.

I have a dream that one day crypto will be used everywhere for everyday transactions. Many people on here seem to agree with that sentiment but you should be careful with your savings, is it something you're okay with risking? that is a question only you can answer. I don't think your family deserves to be on the street for your bad investment decisions so I say stay away from crypto for now or until you can think rationally. perhaps choose less risky investment such as gold or silver.
455  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Hits $24,000 In Iran on: September 06, 2018, 01:49:17 PM
Am I the only guy who immediately though on how to sell BTC on the EXIR exchange?  Grin $24k for one BTC is something that cannot be ignored.

Going back on topic, I think this is good news for crypto in general and for people who are feeling alarming inflation rates. It seems BTC can also protect people's savings.

okay but for how long will it protect their savings. most likely exchange will shut down or transfer will be slow if too many people start using it to arb. I guess it's a good news that bitcoin is getting more acceptance from different countries to the point that they're using it as safe haven. can't be bad for investors and hodlers alike.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have only 200€ to invest on: September 05, 2018, 04:09:31 PM
Hello Im new on this forum, can you help me to choose good coin for me? I have only 200€ to spend, I was thinking about ETH/LTC but is it worth when I have only 200? Or should I try my luck with something cheap.

with that little money it's not even worth overthinking. Just go with the one that you feel is right for you eth/ltc/btc sounds good. won't hurt to diverse towards different alts but not required.
457  Economy / Economics / Re: Capitalism will make socialist ideals a reality on: September 05, 2018, 03:56:01 PM
Socialist countries may have happier citizens because their basic needs are covered and they wouldn't starve if they're out of the job, but you don't see much innovation coming out of these countries. Apple, Google, Facebook, Amazon-these are products of capitalism. People are abundantly awarded for their work because don't have to pay astronomical income taxes in capitalist countries.

The way I see it, this process is now on its way to making socialist values a reality. "Equality of the people" is among the most prioritized.

The latest technology being driven by financial gain seems to be AI and VR/AR technology. This will be the great equalizer of the people. Things will become much cheaper to produce, and once-exclusive experiences will be available to everyone for very cheap. All things are on their way to becoming accessible to all people in the developed world, due to the inherently low cost of digital assets.

Thoughts on this?

Free market capitalism is great but what you're speaking of is cronny capitalism where big corporation crush genuine competition and you're left with same products or spin of similar products. Equality of the people is utopian view which is hard to reach in a society that is driven by diversity.
458  Economy / Economics / Re: After Nine Bitcoin ETF Rejections! What is the Solution to Mainstream Adoption? on: September 04, 2018, 03:45:55 PM
We don't need any ETF, and the average Joe doesn't even know what is ETF. Go in the street to ask about, you will maybe find 2% of people who know what you're talking about. So I don't see how it can help with the mainstream adoption. Only the Bitcoiners care about ETF with the hope to see any accepted, and it's not to get Bitcoin recognized, it's just a matter to see the price jumping to make more profits.
#FollowTheMoney

exactly. people don't really care about etf and that has nothing to do with mainstream adoption which will happen gradually rather than overnight.
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If all internet ithe world is destroyed then the crypto will look like? on: September 04, 2018, 03:43:38 PM
crypto can function without the internet but only for so long. If all internet across the world was destroyed then the loss of my crypto investment would be the least of my worries. The world would turn to chaos quickly and safety would be the only concern. It's sad we lasted thousands of years without the internet but now I do not think we could last more than a week.

Indeed. crypto would be last people concern if internet gets destroyed but hard wallet is what keeps it secure in case of "natural disaster". Biggest problem would be financial sector and economy would be the first thing that gets hit. there would be unimaginable chaos that no one has ever thought of before. everything from healthcare to stock market is dependent on the internet.
460  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it going to pass $20k again? on: September 01, 2018, 07:55:57 AM
My mother and I had a talk about bitcoin last December 2017 or January 2018, the time where bitcoin is on its ATH. She predicted it will not go up beyond $20,000. Do you still think it will reach again its ATH?

What time frame are you speaking of when you say it'll go ATH? this year? next year? 10 years?

I think it'll definitely go above $20k but I can't tell you when since you aren't interested in specific time frame.  Grin
