You realized that the new blockchain.info wallet is also a deterministic wallet and that therefore all you need to do is keep the SEED (12 words) and this backs up everything about the wallet (including all transactions etc.) just like all other deterministic wallets like Electrum and MultibitHD, right?
I don't know about that. I've tried restoring the wallet using the seed on both wallet. Multibit HD asked for a datestamp which is only available on wallet backups created using Multibit HD and Electrum didn't even accept the seed. |

For any outsider the ETH crash will be a warning before investing in BTC. I think we'll have less in-flowing money because of it.

I agree. Instead of getting btc with lower prices and risk getting burned twice (quite a few altcoiners doesn't believe in bitcoin) they might choose to cash out directly and not invest further. |

You can mine bitcoin with ASIC miners. Needs initial investments.
You can mine altcoins with your CPU/GPU and sell them for bitcoin. Same as above.
You can join signature campaign. But the rate for newbies are very low so it might be not worth it for you (and read the rules before you join one.).
You can trade bitcoin and altcoins. Obviously you need one of those for this.
You can sell services. Like programming, designing, etc.
You can sell goods.

You can't. You can only wait for the majority of the network to drop your transaction (takes two to three days). Enabling you to send another transaction with the same inputs with higher fee (also known as double spend).

Title. I forgot where I installed it. Windows 8.1 search is being b*tch here. Can't find electrum.exe or its shortcut. Also, when I run electrum-2.6.4.exe from electrum.org I went straight to the wallet instead of any installation menu. Is that normal?
*Update* Never mind. Turns out I had it installed on an external HD. And electrum-2.6.4- setup.exe is the installer, not electrum-2.6.4.exe.  |

Im on an older PC so im not even seeing white stars, just white squares with numbers in them, which version of windows are you running?
Firefox 47.0 on Windows 8.1. well, i think theres no any rules with that shiny stars, in my screen im just see those stars with dark blue colour.
Ah yes. I meant dark blue with white "shiny" edges. I'm currently using a mac and I am only seeing yellow stars with one that looks cut off. I think Theymos only disallowed annoying characters in subject threads. Zazarb is trustworthy, so I wouldn't worry about him.

How exactly you can't send your bitcoins? Do you get an error or something like that when you try to send them? Is the wallet connected to the server properly and have you tried switching servers?

It's $50M. And besides, it's a hypothetical question. Hypothetically one address can contain 1M bitcoins.  Not sure how one would cash out that much, though. That much money coming out of nowhere is going to be noticed. |
