You predicted a crash on august and spends most of your time in altcoin boards, why the sudden change of stance? IMO as long as you can buy certain ordinary things with an altcoin they can be considered money too. It's just bitcoin have wider adoption than any altcoin so it can be considered superior (in terms of adoption, other things can still be debated).

If you haven't donated why is this anyone's business much less concern?
~BCX~
It's true that this is none of the 'normal' users' business but I do like to see how the forum is going. The auctions and adstats tells a lot but knowing more doesn't hurt, the forum might be in a bad shape and the users won't even know it (to do anything about it).

If you were to become a legendary, and after that, delete your posts up to a point where your activity and/or post count drops to 600ish, you would not lose your legendary status (iirc).
However, I believe that this only stays until the next activity update. IIRC when it happened with a member previously, their rank was updated to be correct when the next activity period began. Legendary rank is permanent I think. This user deleted most of his post at some point before January but is still a legendary. Hero and below (or maybe Sr and below) will revert back to lower rank if they deleted their posts.

I'll never know why so many people are interested in the forum finances, how money gets spent etc, especially if they've never donated anything.
Odd.
I think it's just interesting to see what kind of expenses and income a forum of this size has. I was quite surprised to see that the forum made ~ 645 BTC (at current prices) from ads during 2015, I thought that ads would have brought in a lot less money.
On a different note, I remember that the forum used to be sponsored by PIA, and PIA hosted Bitcointalk. I don't see a note at the bottom of pages on the website anymore stating that PIA sponsors the forums - has this deal ended? If so, I'd be curious as to what the estimated annual cost is to host these forums. I don't imagine it would be too cheap for a website this size. I think theymos ended the deal around a year ago. He said it here. Though the ad at the bottom didn't get removed until months later.

You scammed me, you will pay, I will find you, and I will kill you
Whoa extreminitey. Sorry for your loss but you know you can get banned for death threats, right?

I do not believe someone who has hacked accounts and scammed people would be bold enough to say that publicly, at the risk of getting a permanent ban.
Banned on what grounds? Its not against the rules to scam someone. Hacking, maybe? Although the rule is not written anywhere I doubt it is allowed. I actually thought OP already got banned for this.

And of course, you'll also have full control of the address because you have the private key.

I think you just need to report them to LZ or xandry using the "Report to Moderator" button. Kind of useless reporting it here when half of the forum doesn't speak russian.

Wow, that's a lot of expenses. Was that calculated using the current price of bitcoin at the time that you paid those? They were paid in bitcoins, right?

How big is your transaction? The transaction fees depends on the size of the transaction. The default transaction fees for normal sized transaction shouldn't even be close to that.
You can change the transaction settings in Preferences > Transactions. If you don't know what to do with it and don't want to mess up just use dynamic fees and set it to 120% or something.

That's one expensive joke. Seriously though I don't think they're doing that on purpose.

You'll need more than that to get any clear answer. So you're sending bitcoins from A1 to A2 and now it was sent to A3. Is A2 the real destination? If so then you might have been hacked. But if A2 is an exchange address or similar then the service might have moved the bitcoins somewhere else. You'll have to contact the service support if you don't get the bitcoins.

It's still stealing. See theft by finding. I don't know if it's a crime though. It's a crime for things like wallet with money in it but for bitcoin I have no idea.

Would be nice. But this feature is pretty much only useful to signature campaign users and signature campaigns are external services that can get banned from this forum anytime theymos think 'fuck it'. So it probably won't happen.

Avoid to use this dice site that will empty your pocket with their terrible soft. Using a strategy of 5% win chance, 6% increase on loss, return to base bet on win, I got a lose streak of 173 and then I stopped rolling to not loose everything. It's good to mention the probability to get 173 loosing steps in a row that is 0.01 %. I didn't get this event on any other dice site that I used so far because the probability is incredible small, but not for freedoge.co.in. Shame to them!
Go around and avoid freedoge.co.in !
0.01% chance of losing (Didn't verify this because I'm bad at math. Anyone?) doesn't mean that it won't happen.

That transaction may take a long time to confirm because you didn't include any fee. Normal transaction with recommended fee usually takes anywhere from a minute to 1 or 2 hours (depends on your luck). It is hard to guess how long a zero transaction will take to confirm. Usually it confirms within few days if there's no additional problem (like dust and unconfirmed input).
Not sure about the incorrect balance. Posting a screenshot of it might make things clearer.

Wow. Good job and good luck with that, man. Unfortunately I've got no good advises but I've read (just now) that you could send bitcoin from mars to earth (and vice versa) in less than an hour. But mining from mars would be hard (impossible?) because of the time it takes for the blocks to be broadcasted back to earth. Source: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Bitcoin_in_the_far_futureAlso for anyone who wants to learn more about possibilities mars economy: http://www.aleph.se/Trans/Tech/Space/mars.html

40% drop in a month is highly unlikely at this point. Think about it, mining have become increasingly costly and the block reward have just been cut by half. If it goes down to $350 there's a decent chance that it will drop further. People know this and will try to stop it from happening.

Given that bitcoin and the blockchain are still misunderstood in the eyes of the public, industry proponents have long sought to showcase how the digital currency’s attributes can be used to the advantage of global relief and philanthropy efforts.
For incumbent financial services firms, eager to avoid the negative connotations bitcoin can bring, such efforts are often the first step in their engagement with the industry.
This year, UK banking giant Barclays and investment firm Fidelity each announced their first foray into bitcoin and blockchain. Both projects were advertised as benefitting those in need. I think its a good move to bring the world to a better plcae
-by Victoria van Eyk, Connie Gallippi & Elizabeth McCauley @ coindesk. Edit: edit:*forgot to add my comment I think its a good move to bring the world to a better place. I found this article and i was intrigued by how much bitcoin has grown and how dependent it has become to help those in need. I also read in some other thread that bitcoin is being used for relief efforts across the globe to help those who have just faced a natural disaster.
As bitcoin grows it is inevitable that it will be used for charity and other things (even crime). Any payment method will have such uses once they grow large enough. And yes, it is good for both bitcoin and the people.
