441  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I wanted to ask, what are the best sites are mining. on: June 12, 2017, 05:58:49 PM
I suggest you to not trust any of the cloud mining services out there that claims to give you very high return daily. There are few that looks legit but to get your investment back you might have to wait for years. Like in genesis mining, also your mining contract might expire when mining difficulty rise significantly.
442  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Price drops $300 on: June 12, 2017, 05:47:48 PM
It is always advised to hold half fiat and half in bitcoin to buy cheap bitcoin or other alts during dump/correction like this one. This opens up opportunity for new investors to get into bitcoin/crypto while old investors will enjoy profit they make on this swings.  Grin
443  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would you get in now? current price approx 2700 on: June 12, 2017, 05:43:30 PM
I think best option for now is to set some buy order from $2000 to $2300 at $100 difference so that you can buy some cheap bitcoins. Its perfect buy time, this is correction and it looks quite big this time.
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All cryptocurrencies vallue dropping fast atm on: June 12, 2017, 05:25:59 PM
This is normal, almost all of the alts along with bitcoin have seen a huge surge on price within short period of time in last few weeks so correction on price is quite predictable. But I don't think price will drop dramatically like last correction we had where price dropped to below 2k but quickly pumped back to around $2.5k
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to keep altcoins/crypto alive on: June 12, 2017, 01:14:32 PM
now, I see other coins start growing a lot. My concern is about Bitcoins status as leader. I believe we can have a major crash and developers run away if Bitcoin is not the "gold standard" in crypto. First question I have: would you agree with this concern?

Second question: what needs to happen to make Bitcoin a secure #1? I dont think we even need to do payments in btc, but at least make it relevant.
Major crash ? Why ? Developers run away? There are lots of developers who are volunteering in the development of bitcoin from starting days and unlike other alts there are no any permanent developer for bitcoin.

Bitcoin network is already secure but if you are talking about price volatility than marketcap have to grow towards 1 trillion to have some stability on bitcoin price.  Wink
446  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who coined the termed "Satoshi" on: June 12, 2017, 01:08:39 PM
That's an interesting question, I believe it'd be more of a community oriented effort provided that it's been accepted by the community widely.
Yes it seems satoshi term was first coined by this guy here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3574.msg50647#msg50647
100 million satoshis = 1 bitcon and everybody agreed on that back in 2011.

451  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud mining ? on: June 11, 2017, 04:43:36 PM
Almost all cloud mining sites are just pure scams and I suggest you to remain a mile away from them. You should rather invest in quite promising and legit ICO to make nice profit, there are lots of examples of ICO that have given above 10x return within one year period.
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ledger expects to sell 1 million hardware wallets this year on: June 11, 2017, 04:41:50 PM
I really doubt on their ability to sell 1 million hardware wallet within 1 year, I think it will be really hard to sell even 1 million hardware in total from all hardware wallet manufacturer within short time of 1 year.  Grin
453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO] Primalbase: Distributed Workspace for Tech Community - June 26 on: June 11, 2017, 03:15:07 PM
3 BTC = 1 PBT on first day of ICO so I wonder Is there any minimum amount to invest? I mean like can  I buy 0.0001 PBT?
Smallest fraction according to their site is 0.0001 PBT so I think yes you can buy that amount during ICO if you don't have enough bitcoin to invest but you have to be fast to buy it on first day of ICO.
454  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What kind of worst decisions do you take when trading? on: June 10, 2017, 12:00:06 PM
The worst decision I have made recently was buy buying XRP at around 19000 satoshi and price is less than half right now so already in 50% loss  Angry
Don't know why I have bought it at that high price, price have touched over 22,000 satoshi and dropped to 19k so I thought it will have another round of pump but in reality it dumped hard  Embarrassed Embarrassed
455  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price comparison on: June 10, 2017, 11:56:37 AM
You can use either https://bitcoinwisdom.com/ or https://blockchain.info/markets/
Both are good to compare price of bitcoin over multiple trading platforms.

457  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin for Retirement on: June 06, 2017, 11:22:46 AM
Do you think 1 Bitcoin can be good for retirement...let's say 20 years from now?
I don't think it will be enough for next few years but after 20 years it can be if we look at how price surged between 2008 to now. But nobody can predict the future so price can go both side, you have to sell your bitcoin if there will be big crash which may not come anytime soon.
458  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins value on: June 04, 2017, 04:29:20 PM
There are lots of things that can affect the price of bitcoin like news about segwit, possible hardfork, mempool being full by spam transactions etc. Also if some company/government start to accept bitcoin as a currency than that can give big boost to price. It is quite hard to predict the price of bitcoin but if you keep close eye on bitcoin related news you can figure out what could be the right move.

I have stopped promoting this.
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens in future to your BTC if they are stored on hard wallet ? on: June 01, 2017, 05:44:33 PM
I would suggest you to use paper wallet instead of hardware wallet if you are worried about change in firmware or software in future. I don't think the way private key and bitcoin address are generated will be changed anytime in future. So you don't have to worry about anything if you just store private key and bitcoin pair in paper wallet.
