a valid signed message can only be created if the person signing the message controls the private key for that address. given that a message including the date can be signed from an address posted by the person a few months ago, that message can prove ownership of the account by that person. this prevents you from taking hacked accounts as collateral, which would result in your loss.

So if I am going to offer no collateral loans, I don't really need to use signed message?
Am I correct?

You'll need some lube....  You'll get scammed long before making any decent amount of profit.  If somebody is reputable they can get loans at much better rates than here, if not they're just looking to take your BTC

I think I will start to offer loans with those high trust members 1st,
and after I know more about, will open to high rank members with low / no trust.

Btw, if I going to ask for like 5% for a week loan, is it too high for the interest?
Anybody that's good to repay it has a credit card and could get that 20% a month to cover a year.  There are some people that just need a few bucks for a couple days, but the majority of people want to take your money.  There's no way you'll get through 20 weeks worth of loans without somebody not repaying.

whoever is born a man is a man, these folks are mentally ill and need treatment, if they told you they were ducks or aliens from outer space trapped in human beings' bodies would you believe them
Men and women can both live satisfying lives and be functioning members of society, ducks and aliens.... Not so much.  I'd feel bad for anybody with dysphoria making them think they are one of the above, thankfully nobody does.

We do have treatment, its called transition.  Many choose to go with just therapy instead, its whatever works best for the person.

This seems to be a big hot topic lately and I still can not understand it. If you are a male wanting to be a female, which sex are you attracted to? Does that even factor in?
Sexual orientation and gender identity are totally different issues.  Some like men, some like women, some even like neither.

I read or heard that most cross dressers tend to be straight, its just a fetish but the transgender as far as I know goes past dressing up.

Cross dressing is either sexual, or an outlet for the feminine side in some cases.  Being trans is feeling like you're in the wrong body.  Crossdressers don't get depressed when they look down because they think they're something else.

The gay population is small and I imagine the transgender pop to be even smaller. Yet we have a movement to push their agenda on us to till they feel comfortable.

What's wrong with everybody feeling comfortable?  People shouldn't be assholes no matter what the situation, and this subset of the population gets a lot of them.

Jenner has killed some one and that seems to be pushed to the side because the transgenders need a voice.

Find it to be a interesting subject due to all the dark rabbit holes you can go down.

Not all transpeople even like what she's doing, but nonetheless people are eating it up so might as well make the most of it.

Seems pretty stupid to remove anything short of inciting violence.  We live in a free country where you can have whatever views you want, as long as you respect the rights of others.  Whether it is accurate or not doesn't really matter.  LGBT myself, but the idea of trying to censor speech just because it doesn't agree with you is disturbing

That said, YouTube is a private company, not the government.  They have a right to take down whatever they want.  There are plenty of other video upload sites to use if you want to protest what's going on, but most don't care enough

That say if youtube is not the government and provides a service, why is the rights of the majority of the youtube viewers be denied of their god given natural rights to see a movie trailer?

I mean if it was a youtube video about a wedding cake then youtube, as a private company, would be right to delete it?... I believe that's the way things work nowadays...?

Internet=utility thanks to the FCC=youtube is using the utility, provides a service and thus cannot discriminate....

 Cool

That's actually a decent point.. Would be interesting to see how a lawsuit over this would end up

Can't get a tattoo but perfectly acceptable to have reconstructive genitalia surgery?

Whoever voted on or signed this into law needs to be held for psychological evaluation, and removed from public service for life. Good grief...?

Is getting a tattoo treating a issue that causes almost half of the people that have it to attempt suicide at some point?

Being able to do this without parental consent does seem like an issue, but to play devil's advocate, it could also be preventing some teens from ordering hormones online and playing Russian Roulette with their bodies (it's surprisingly easy to do).

You ASSUME that society some how causes all of the mental distress of people with gender identity issues, and that there are no biological issues involved like hormonal imbalance which can easily cause severe depression (an which have very effective treatments BTW). Then when you look at the high rates of suicide for people AFTER they have reassignment surgery, and again of course, it is because society oppressed them, not at all because they have biological issues which are causing them distress. This kind of nonscientific logic is what is causing people to kill themselves. They seek medical help, and all they get is treated like a guinea pig in a sick social experiment.

I agree with you on the part that the depression mostly comes from how they are treated.  If we lived in a world where after SRS they were just treated as their new gender there would probably be much less suicides.  However, there is some emerging science that shows there are brain differences between transgender individuals and those that are not.  (Source)

Post-op suicide rate according to the famous "20x higher" swedish study is 2.7/1,000 person years, or about 21.5%.  However, a recent study out of Canada shows that prompt transition resources being available for trans people could reduce this rate by ~17%.  It also confirms the idea that the less hatred the experience, the less suicides there are by up to 66%.  (Source)

F'in incredible. Look here - the State of Oregon is currently denying life-saving treatment to Hep-C patients, because of cost.

The total cost of a Hep-C cure is 100,000 dollars, and it's a one-time cost, after you're treated you're cured forever.

And here they're talking 150,000 a year, for something that isn't even fatal Huh

How does that work?

Actually the total cost is nowhere near that.  Getting your sex reassigned can run anywhere from $7,000 to $17,000 paying out of pocket, and insurance companies (or the government) could certainly get that down much lower like they do for everything else.

*snip*

While genetics do certainly at a factor in it, our minds are a complex thing that can't usually be reduced to one factor for something.  However, we do have many studies showing that conversion therapy is extremely ineffective and damaging to the mental health of an individual.

It doesn't seem like a stretch to say the majority of people experiment sometime in their life.  While gender identity and sexual orientation are two different things, doctors certainly should not prescribe hormones the second it comes up.  However, its not exactly an exciting thought to go through insane costs, social rejection, etc just to get your body changed.  They're hoping it's a phase just as bad as anybody else is, and usually stay in the closet for a while before accepting that something may be wrong and looking into getting help.
454  Other / Politics & Society / Re: White Goyim Allow 4-Year-Old Son to Do a “Sex Change” on: July 09, 2015, 04:50:17 AM
Nobody should be allowed to do a sex change until they are at least 21, when their bodies are fully developed. I think it should be for medical purposes only.
It's pretty well established that if you're having gender dysphoria for years after puberty has hit, it's not going away.  Waiting until 21 for hormones can greatly decrease the final effects, and how well you pass is a huge portion of your happiness post-op.

There should definitely be a good amount of therapy involved, and a long time of the trans feelings being there before starting any sort of treatment, but waiting all the way to 21 isn't the answer.  Possibly waiting that long for the final operation (or any surgery for that matter), but hormones can do just as much changing on their own so it's really a moot point.  There has to be a middle ground between not letting 4 year olds transition and giving teens that need it a lifeline

If you deny treatment options based on age, some that are desperate enough will take matters into their own hands.  Buying hormones on the internet is extremely dangerous, and assuming what you get is what it's claimed to be you still need constant bloodwork to make sure nothing is going wrong.  It's the same situation you get when drug users are afraid to call in a OD for fear of being prosecuted.
455  Other / Politics & Society / Re: White Goyim Allow 4-Year-Old Son to Do a “Sex Change” on: July 09, 2015, 03:09:21 AM
Johns Hopkins, the institute that invented the sex change operation, wont even do it any more! They studied all the people they surgically and hormonally altered and found that the suicide rate was 20 times higher than normal. That alone should tell you something.

people think that getting a nose job will change their life too. It doesn't change anything besides your nose. But speaking of big noses... those two ladies whose pix are posted above.... since when HAVEN'T Jewish mamas fucked up their sons? I've never known a jewish male who doesn't have extreme neurosis and mommy issues. Its just the way it is. lol.
20x higher than the base population.  Getting a sex change doesn't magically fix all of your problems.  There's still depression, daily harassment for most, drug abuse, etc.  The attempted suicide rate for trans people is ~45%, including both pre and post-op.

71-80% of post op people are happy with the results, vs 8.1-6% unsatisfied according to the latest study I could find on it (Page 229)

At the end of the day, it should be up to the individual to decide what to do to their body.  This story really is just going to stir up the pot more when it's really about terrible parents and has nothing to do with actual trans people.

i wonder what his political affiliation is? If he's a Republican I wouldn't put it past the Dems to try to pin this on him in an effort to further slander Republicans.
Why do we have to bring politics into a CP investigation?  I highly doubt somebody would get let off/wrongly charged just based on how they vote.  This guy isn't even that famous, just a random guy from a fast food commercial.  It would be another thing if he was a politician or publicly endorsed one party, but really that has nothing to do with it.

I'd certainly be interested in this.  Would like to see some data entry/transcription tasks, kill off extra time at the computer and make a few bucks doing it.
458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: July 09, 2015, 01:45:10 AM
I don't know how anyone can read the bible and call it boring.
Not the first time, no. The problem with Christians is that one read is never enough, and they can never stop yapping about the (2,000 year old) "good news" from their "good book".

And it's a bit more than just "one book"...there are 66 books in the bible.
66 "books", each being the length of short stories written for 8th graders... I think I've just discovered the root of the problem, Christians don't know what books are!

So funny. Wink

My only point was that there are multiple stories in the bible, multiple authors. It's not like just one book, or one "story". Re-reading the bible is always a good thing. You can always see things in a new light depending on where you are in your life. There are plenty of stories, or songs, or proverbs, etc. There should be at least one thing that is interesting to everyone. Of course that's supposing they believe.

Any religious text may not be interesting to others if they don't believe in it. Though I think there are plenty of stories in the bible that are interesting even if you don't believe and just take them as parables.

Of course, there is a danger if you are a staunch atheist, or a believer of some other religion... a danger if you read the Bible. It is through the words of the Bible that God works on the spirits of people. You just might wind up being converted if you read.

 Shocked
Christian for years, read the bible... nope.  Just lots of stories with nothing to back it up.  And a god that really has an issue with his ego :x
459  Other / Politics & Society / Re: White Goyim Allow 4-Year-Old Son to Do a “Sex Change” on: July 09, 2015, 01:39:26 AM
This is all around just sad...  Experimenting with gender is part of being a small child, it's when it doesn't change when you grow up that it becomes an issue.  4 years old the kid has no fucking idea what being trans is or what they're getting themselves into.  A 4 year old can't understand the implications of getting a sex change when they can't even count to 100 -_-

So what doctor was willing to give hormones to a toddler?  They need to have their license taken away, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to let this happen.  Really hope someone steps in and stops this

You're only Bronze 3? How is that even possible, especially since you have Katarina listed as your main?
I've used to play LoL in the past a lot. I think that I had more than 3k games played, but I had to stop because it was taking up too much time from my everyday routine.

I've used to play a custom Katarina build. I find her fun to play because of her lower CDs, and the destructive ultimate.  Cheesy
Coming back from a year+ break after losing hope in Bronze 5.  Only ~200 games in this season.  Was B1 until a couple days ago after going on tilt reaaaally badly :/

I have 10x more games on Varus than kat, just recently picked her up because she wrecks solo queue in lower ELO.  Need to find a good support duo..
