I agree that those are top notch examples, but I have to respectfully disagree with "kick ass" over Ninkazi.  Let's be serious, at these rarefied levels we are in to the vagaries of personal taste, batch variation, product age, etc.  We are talking about some of the finest brews on Earth after all.

No argument there, it really does come down to taste at some point.  Ninkasi is a great brewery, when my daughter was at UofO I would always bring home a growler of their IPA from Fred Meyer.  For some reason the only beers of theirs that make their way this far south are the fruity beers.  Homey don't play that.

Another great light beer I've been drinking a bunch of these days is North Coast's Scrimshaw pilsner.  Highly recommended, if you can get your hands on it.
4522  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 25, 2019, 03:49:25 PM
For a craft house, any Ninkasi product is a superlative choice.  For a mid size house I find the Lagunitas line quite credible.

Both are good, Laugunitas is local to me, I work in the same town their headquarters reside (although that might not be accurate anymore, Heineken just bought them out.) In their early years I did my part to help them succeed.

But for us locals, we have a shit tonne of craft beer makers to choose from.  Bear Republic and Russian River kick ass over both Laugunitas and Ninkasi.  Anderson Valley is my all time absolute favorite.  Their Boont Amber ale is like nectar.

As for traditional American lager, nothing beats an ice cold Coors Light!  Grin

OP found this site five minutes prior to creating an account, but gives himself the pseudonym cryptomaniac?  If he is indeed a cyrptomanic, how is it he didn't know about this site until 5 minutes prior?  I call BS.  This is someone who knows how to work the system just enough to maybe succeed in phishing for a NCL.

But, having said that, I tend to agree with you, Patatas.  If this was an innocent request by some one just too lazy to read the rules, I would give him a pass.  I don't think laziness is deserving of a red tag.
4524  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 25, 2019, 03:26:24 PM
imho 95% of very early buyers of btc don´t own a large btc stash anymore.

-lost/destroyed hardware
-lost private keys
-spent for pizza or other stuff
-got hacked
-some bad trades
-going full retard as "daytrader"
-sold because it finally went over $10
-lost btc on mtgox and other exchanges
-bought shitcoins
-fell for scams
-invested in butterfly labs or other vaporware
-believed the bcash lies
-believed in the ETH flippening
-etc, etc

I was not an early adopter, but I was close.  I'm sure a lot of what you suggest above would have applied to me.

you are still early. mass adoption not here yet. if you manage to hodl a few whole btc you are going to be allright.rich.

Lets hope you're right.  Here's to the new hodlers!

Was the pizza good at least?

On Wednesday I bought two Costco pizzas, they cost me BTC0.003 (actually, it was the equivalent in fiat, but whatever.)  Costco pizzas are always good.

a gift for a friend who I've as of yet been unable to convince to stop using Coinbase to store his bitcoin. Roll Eyes

I have a friend like that too, and that's a great idea.  Coinbase has there "vault" cold storage service they offer, with multiple signatures required to move funds, but still.  If the seed backup isn't etched on a chunk of stainless steel and safely tucked away in the fire-resistant document bag in my fire-resistant gun safe, I have a hard time sleeping at night.  Sad

4526  Economy / Lending / Re: No collateral, interest free 0.02 BTC loan to any Legendary member - experiment on: May 25, 2019, 03:01:16 PM
If (almost) anyone else were running this experiment I would happily take the "loan" to aide in your research with the caveat of neutral feedback or no feedback, but given your current standing (inb4 hypocrite) I feel like participating in this might assist you in scamming members in the future.

I don't think he would lend to you anyway, not with your current trust level.

No red trust for obvious reasons.

I don't think this is about a "protected" person possibly scamming. I think it is more about what would happen if *anyone* scams TF.

It's an interesting experiment, but the value of it is eludes me.  TF won't lend to a member with red trust, so it's almost like he wants, or needs a member with a good or neutral trust score to scam him for the experiment to work.  And if or when that happens, what then?  Does he expect DT members to stand by and not tag the scammer?

You can contact him on Telegram in the meanwhile: @shasan32

Hi nutildah, for the safety and security of everybody involved; shasan, his borrowers, and even yourself, I suggest you ask shasan to include that last statement in a signed message.

What they broadcast into the Universe, then the Universe will return them a hundred times more.

Lol, What?  You are incomprehensible, at best.  The universe has heard your broadcasts of shitposts, plagiarism, and bounty reports.  Now it's time for you to listen to what the universe is broadcasting back at you 100 times over:

4529  Other / Meta / Re: Getting rid of this "stake.com" spam shit o n my avatar and sig on: May 24, 2019, 06:48:56 PM
The account was used sparingly and sporadically from September 24, 2011 up until October 3, 2018.  There were several breaks during those years, but the posts seem to have the same personality behind them.  Before this most recent break the bloke behind the account seems to behave like a typical British cunt.

All the posts make since January of this year seem to have been made by a typical shitposter who's native language is not English.  This account has either been sold, hacked, or both.

ETA: I tagged the account.  I will remove my tag as soon as the OP can sign a message with the address found by LoyceV, and the password is changed.
4530  Other / Meta / Re: Getting rid of this "stake.com" spam shit o n my avatar and sig on: May 24, 2019, 05:20:49 PM
The account has made 878 posts since the 28th of January.  Before that, there was a break from October 3rd, 2018.  Half of the accounts total posts were made in the last 4 months.

There's definitely something fishy afoot.
4531  Other / Meta / Re: Arranging Superfluous Speech Holistically Over Lengthy Episodes on: May 24, 2019, 04:39:15 PM
I fear our forum will continue to ferment the fecal matter of fictitious and frivolous falsehoods levied as accusations from the disenfranchised.  Despite the length and magnitude of linguistic lashings these lecherous leaches will continue to leak their voluminous and vile verbiage across many boards.  Sowing their seeds of salacious suspicions will not likely cease any time soon.

TL;DR: Right on, bro.
4532  Other / Meta / Re: It's time for more "report to moderator" stats! on: May 24, 2019, 03:58:16 PM
I think these stats are outdated...

Well, this thread is over 15 months old, and the OP hasn't been updated.  So yeah, it's safe to assume the data is outdated.
4533  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano X - new mobile focused hardware wallet on: May 24, 2019, 03:30:40 PM

If this concerns a lot of people we might see some discounted S's for sale around here Smiley

I expect Ledger will discount the model S quite a bit this coming holiday season.  I wouldn't mind picking up a couple as gifts for my kids.

I just received the shipping notice for my "bundle" order, they're due to arrive on Tuesday.
4534  Other / Meta / Re: [Feature Suggestion] Play clown music every time you log into the forum on: May 23, 2019, 10:10:17 PM
I feel sorry for Julius Fucik.  Barnum and Baily really fucked up his reputation by using that tune for their clown performances.  Originally Julius was inspired by Roman gladiators when he wrote that tune, which he titled Entrance of the Gladiators.

If you are making this post in jest, because of the recent discussions concerning Bill Gator and his now blown-up reputation, maybe Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture is more appropriate.
4535  Other / Meta / Re: @THEYMOS Abusive group punished DT1 for speaking up against them on: May 23, 2019, 08:56:23 PM
Your brain limited?

Only when I read your posts.  It's tiring.  It actually takes a lot of energy to shut down 90% of my brain just so I can make sense of your drivel.
4536  Other / Meta / Re: @THEYMOS Abusive group punished DT1 for speaking up against them on: May 23, 2019, 08:50:28 PM
He abused the trust system fearing Lauda's actions against him when not complying which he openly admitted.

You abuse common sense every time you post.  Would you please STFU?
4537  Other / Meta / Re: @THEYMOS Abusive group punished DT1 for speaking up against them on: May 23, 2019, 08:44:34 PM
this thread has been up for 6 years, and it very clearly says to publish PM logs if you are making a scam accusation.

There is no reason why you should expect privacy if you send a PM unencrypted. Period.

I will repeat myself that if you don’t want a PM published in which you said something embarrassing, you should not send a PM containing something embarrassing.

Did LFC scam anyone, I missed that part.

Did it ever occur to anyone that maybe LFC was just trying to be polite to bill?  Maybe he wasn't actually intimidated by Lauda, but merely convinced?  It's kind of convenient for bill to portray it as intimidation, now isn't it?
4538  Other / Meta / Re: @THEYMOS Abusive group punished DT1 for speaking up against them on: May 23, 2019, 08:34:17 PM
Out of curiosity, how would one get the consent to investigate a murder?

Lol, you remind me of a manipulative teenager who refuses to take "no" for an answer.

Bill, you keep digging yourself even deeper.  After some private conversations we had, I added you to my trust list.  I was this close to buying a GPU from you and I would have sent the funds to you upfront without a second thought.

This situation has nothing to do with your interaction with Vod, and your insistence that it does is a convenient delusion.  I decided to remove you from my trust list for that interaction, because I thought you were being frivolous with your review.  But I didn't explicitly ~distrust you and likely would still have sent you $400 without a second thought.

Now I have you explicitly distrusted.  You don't belong on DT, in my opinion.  The trust you gained from the community was rooted in dishonesty and deception.  For three and half years you have deceived this community for your own financial gain.

Then you publish a private discussion from someone you "consider a friend" and throw that friend under the bus?  In a bid to try to prove you're still trustworthy?

What a joke!

It's amazing to me that you don't see a problem with why they wanted it kept confidential.

That's completely irrelevant.  The confidential part is the relevant part, and how can anyone have any confidence in you going forward?
4539  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone is selling green rating (DT) on: May 23, 2019, 04:36:32 PM
Paying a scammer will only lead to more of them doing the same.

Of course you're right, and that's not the outcome I want.  And this is in all likelihood nothing but a phishing scam.  The only reason it would be worth the risk is if there was evidence a real DT member was behind this.
4540  Economy / Reputation / Re: Someone is selling green rating (DT) on: May 23, 2019, 04:02:16 PM
I'm half tempted to create an alt and try buying it but it's most likely a scam anyway.

I was thinking it's almost sure to be a scam, but it would be fun to send an undercover newbie to entrap this shitbird.  If you decide to do it I'll split the fee with you, that way you're not taking on the whole burden of the more-than-likely scam.
