0 point
7 assists
1 rebound
19 minutes played

That was Ben Simmon's stats against the Pistons hehe. It just doesn't make sense for a big PG not to make more shot attempts on a league that mostly favors offense now. It was less than 10 tries per game in their last four or five outings. This guy would be very lucky to have a contract extension that's close to his current salary if he keeps playing like this.
It was a surprise for me, Pistons beat the Nets, but I confess that Simmons' stats surprised me a lot, a big PG like him would have the advantage against a opponent, Simmons is one of the tallest PG in the NBA today.

Kyrie Irving's consistency in the last few games is spectacular, he's been helping the Nets a lot, because he's been on fire lately.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 25, 2023, 04:58:23 AM
In addition to that are the possible injuries before or during playoffs that could greatly affect their teams' fate. Playoffs are more intense than the regular season. Just look at Harden when he was still at Rockets. He is superb in regular season but dubbed as choker in playoffs.

Kings' last playoff appearance was the 2005 -06 season. To be able to reach where they are right now is really surprising. Kings will surely give a tough fight in playoffs. I can say their future is bright as long as no injuries will happen.

Meanwhile, Giannis and Middleton are listed as probable to return vs Pistons.
Thank you for this information.

I believe that the playoffs is a very difficult phase for a team to be an NBA champion.
There are some peculiarities between these stages, regular season games are totally different from the playoffs, and it is at this time that the team will miss a great player who is injured for example...

I confess that I'm going to watch the Kings' games more often, they are calling my attention for their determination and technique these days.
Let's see if they can get advances in some playoff games
463  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: January 25, 2023, 04:47:05 AM
There are only a few games for the selection, and if teams play badly there then they miss it out. I think it would be wiser if we do that in the world cup itself. Have as many teams as possible, have 64 teams if you can, that would be better, this way if a team is losing during the group stages, they would just simply lose and not go further, same as the qualification stage where if they lose, they don't go to world cup.

In this scenario, more teams are going to world cup but losing there, instead of losing before the world cup. Still losing, still not a chance to win it, but at the very least they would be going there and it would mean a lot more money.
Looking at your perspective, it is even interesting to change the number of participating teams, we will have countries that have never been to the world cup, this will help with visibility and consequently we will have more games, therefore we would have an improvement of the economy in the country

But on the other hand, if there is a greater insertion of teams, I believe that this will reduce the quality of the world cup, I am not discrediting the teams, but I do not know, this could reduce the level and quality of the world cup.

The world cup only happens every 4 years, and I have no doubt, this is one of the most anticipated events for many people.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 23, 2023, 06:53:21 PM
Lots of upsets happened in last night's game.

These underdogs won the game.
Brooklyn Nets
LA Lakers
Phoenix Suns
OKC Thunders
LA CLippers

Safe to say it's the night of the underdogs.
What you said I would also consider as unforeseen lol
Among these games, the ones that most caught my attention were the victory of OKC, Lakers and Suns.
It was already clear that these teams would not be able to win, but as incredible as it seems, this happened.

Well, it seems that day after day the difficulty increases to be able to bet on the winning team, I confess that lately I've been betting very badly and I'm losing often lol
465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: January 23, 2023, 03:49:25 PM
It is a massive increase, absolutely. That's 50% more teams playing than in Qatar.

I really don't know why there's such a huge increase in the number of teams, the world cup is supposed to be a difficult thing to qualify.

For example, in South America(conmebol) out of 10 teams, there are currently 4 direct slots and the 5th has to play against an Asian team.

In the future there will be 6 direct slots, and the 7th has to play with another team from another federation.

Having up to 70% of the teams qualifying into the world cup is a bit too much in my opinion. Only 3 teams will be out.
What you said is relevant. I don't know if it would be advantageous to have this huge amount of teams in the world cup, the world cup is one of the most important events in the world, and therefore, I believe that for a country to participate, the selection process would be different.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: January 23, 2023, 05:55:07 AM
~snip~
As the number of teams into FIFA had been increased, countries like India can have their entry. However to reach through the qualifiers is really hard for a country like India. If Indian people have supported long back itself India might've emerged good, but India is much into cricket and recently people have begun to watch football a encourage their children playing football.

The next world cup will be interesting to see. Many new countries that have never qualified before will be able to get there.

Not sure if that's a great thing really because at the end of the day the first stage of the world cup will basically turn into a qualification round.

The whole point of having only qualified nations into the world cup is to see the best of the best playing against each other, kinda like the champions league.

Although i was absent with regard to the world cup...
Well, I would like to ask a question, what is your opinion regarding the increase in teams during the world cup? 32 to 48 participating teams is a massive increase in my opinion.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 23, 2023, 05:44:42 AM
They will be in the playoffs but honestly it's a different story when they are in the playoffs. This team's lack of defense is not something I admire during the playoffs as we know how physical the game in the playoffs. They need to improve their defense first as that's their weakness based on my observation.

I like the ball movement, they are like a young Warriors, but the Warriors are a team who have a balance offense and defense.
Your observation is interesting!
I confess that I was happy with the performance of the Kings this season, and consequently their participation in the playoffs this season.

As usual, I always talk to my friends, the playoffs are the place that separates the men from the children.
The playoffs are very competitive, and a very important factor is the experience that some players need to perform satisfactorily in the playoffs.

As it has been years since the Kings reach playoffs, I speculate that they will lose quickly during the first rounds, defense, experience are one of the important factors to stand out the playoffs.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 23, 2023, 05:36:51 AM
Memphis almost completed their big come back, they just fall short in the end.

Suns won only by 2 points after leading more than 20 points in the game, that's a good run by the Memphis, but they should have not allowed the Suns to dominate them in the 1st half, things could be easier for them and they might win.
I believe that several people bet on a victory for the Grizzlies, but, incredible as it may seem, Suns dominate the game in a certain period
CP3 was the player who had the most rebounds in the game.

Those who also bet on a Nets victory, was a positive thing. Again... Kyrie Irving had an excellent performance (without Durant again), Irving is managing to "carry the team on his back" and in most games, he is guiding the Nets to victory.

By the way, Lakers got another win, the person who bet on Lakers win also won lol
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 22, 2023, 09:48:09 PM
Let's hope that he will continue to take care of his body and he will not be seriously injured. He is still waiting for his son to be drafted so he will be able to see that his son will be playing with him or against him, that's the biggest achievement of his life, and that only proves that despite being at retirement age, he is still different because he is an exceptional athlete.

He can make a history and beat the oldest player of all time in the NBA which is  Nat Hickey who was 45 years during his final year. Lebron is already 38 years old, he needs to play 8 more seasons.

https://edge.twinspires.com/nba/the-oldest-players-in-nba-history/
LeBron James has good genetics, of course physical activity, food and training hard can improve that. LJ has 38 and can play like he's 20.

I still imagine that until he's 40 or 41 he'll still be playing well, maybe even at the level of an allstar player.
Let's see if before his retirement he will break some more records, sfor example being the oldest player in the NBA to win an MVP or MVP Finals award and especially breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record, being the greatest player in the NBA history to score the most points (it's hard, but not impossible)
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 22, 2023, 09:42:59 PM
Yeah, it's getting more unpredictable as the teams are not that far in the ranking. They all want to be part of the playoffs so they are playing harder before the All-Star starts. Two teams are most likely to never fail a bet for them, Nuggets and Celtics, but it's the spreads where we can make mistakes if they game ends in a close one.

1/2 with my live bets.
Phoenix Suns won as I predicted, although undermanned, I can see them playing better with Mikal Bridges leading the team.
Josh Okogie helped out by doing some damage on the offensive end, he gained 24 points in 34 minutes. Then there's Saben Lee, helpful free throws to put the dagger against the Pacers.

Sacramento Kings on the other hand struggle to keep their lead, IIRC the highest point was 19 but the 76ers kept on pushing to make the game within reach and were even desperate to claim the W even without their star duo.
Tyrese Maxey always plays better whenever Harden is out. I think he can focus more on his offense when he is the one handling the ball.
I realized that too, it seems that with time it's getting harder to hit some games exactly... And it's at these times that we see the difference between a good gambler and me a bad gambler lol
It's complicated for me in most games, I'm losing often lol
I have been betting/gambling for a short time and therefore I have a lot to learn. I confess that I'm enjoying it, but I need to improve in several aspects
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 22, 2023, 11:03:03 AM
He is not anymore on his prime but he is still playing like he is on his prime.
Look at his average this season. https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/j/jamesle01.html

He is worth a lot of money because not only he will make a team popular, but at the same time he can always assure that he will play with consistency.

I mean, LeBron is no longer in his prime and if he will demand that Lakers will take advantage of any team who will ask for LeBron's trade, we know the value and what are the risk behind of landing him.

For business side, the team who will acquire him will gain good numbers of fans to support tickets and PPV
but long-term wise, I'm not sure if that's a good idea though we can't tell what might be his future decisions.

Yes, this is true!
I agree with @Ziskinberg said.
Comparing with his past performance, unfortunately it is not in his prime.
He's just turned 38, he still plays like an allstar player, and is without a doubt still one of the best players in NBA.
That's insane, a 38-year-old player playing better than other young players and, above all, without a serious injury in his career.

In my opinion, I even believe he will be able to play 3 more seasons in NBA without losing too much his performance
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 22, 2023, 08:29:48 AM
I really think that is not a slim chance for them to get Bronny James and for the 1st pick to be Bronny James, I really think that Lebron James for them is a big cash cow get for their corporation, there are a lot of advertisers that want Lebron James and sponsors that are backing the name Lebron James and right now Lebron James is currently playing like his prime years, considering his games he is pretty much doing great right now, so I really think the Lakers will consider Bronny James as a great asset aswell,
Well, this is a topic I've been researching for a few days... Which LJ team will retire and which team will Bronny be drafted?

I have no doubt, LeBron James is an extremely valuable player, not only for his quality as a player, but as a well-respected and well-known name today.

I could be talking some nonsense, but I don't know, it's been a while since I've noticed that LJ is unhappy with the Lakers. I believe this could be due to the team's poor performance over the last few seasons, injured AD, lack of Lakers chemistry/teamwork among other factors.
Even though he performed so good in almost every game, I don't see him happy as he was with the Cavs or the Heat, I believe that maybe he could be focusing on some personal things or other business.

Taking advantage of the topic of this conversation... do you believe that LJ can terminate the contract and go to other teams? for example, Cavs?
I don't know, if they renewed LeBron James's contract, possibly the Lakers will do everything to create a super team to next season
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 22, 2023, 08:00:42 AM
Sacramento Kings versus Philadelphia 76ers happening live.
The 76ers are underdogs without James Harden and Joel Embiid. This could get easy for the Kings with Sabonis and Fox to take the win so I am betting for them at -4.5 @1.85.
wow, and what a competitive game between the Kings v Philadelphia 76ers.
There was no doubt that the Kings had a great chance of beating the 76ers, even more with the absence of James Harden and Joel Embiid.
But that didn't happen, the 76ers played so good even with the absence of their best players!!

By the way, well... I believe most of my bets have been wrong lately lol
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 21, 2023, 10:55:29 PM
He is wise indeed! But I'm really curious if the Los Angeles Lakers will be the end of his road and will be the team to officially retire his jersey because at the back of my mind, I'm also thinking that he might choose to retire with the Cleveland Cavaliers, where his home team is and where he get drafted. Anyway, we still have a few more years to enjoy LeBron James greatness, so let's cherish it while he's still active and hopefully he can add one more ring.
I confess that this is one of the questions I would most like to know, this can even be considered a mystery lol

What I and some friends of mine speculate is that LeBron James will return to the Cavaliers, Bronny will be drafted to the Cavs and for the first time in NBA history, son and father will play together on the same team.
And after that feat happens, LeBron James will retire for the Cavs.

I know that LJ's contentment in the Lakers is not the best, including the bad performance of the team, I have no doubt that this could be a factor for him to leave the Lakers soon, now, if the chemistry between the players improves, AD is 100% healthy, and Wesbrook's performance improves, I believe LJ will be able to stay longer in LAL.

Of course, everything I've said is mere speculation on my part, but I have no doubt that it could happen....

For me, I'll just pass with the thought of hoping that Davis will be healthy 100 percent because we all know that his situation won't get any remedy that quickly even if technology will improve. We already saw some sorts of players with the likes of him and it's almost impossible to see that they will be available for the games most of the time because of their situation.

For LeBron, I'd say that he will have more chances to add another ring if he's with the Cavaliers now and hopefully, his kid will be drafted at the said team too.
Yes, I believe that will be a possibility and I also agree with AD, if he can come back to the Lakers as soon as possible almost 100% healthy it will be a huge plus for the Lakers as he makes a significant difference to the team.

Yep, that's true, well, if that doesn't happen, I believe that the other possibility for LJ to have another ring is returning to the Cavs, maybe building a "super team" or wanting to leave a legacy after his retirement, of course, that I also speculate that Bronny will be on that team... well, besides father and son playing together on the same team in the NBA, I believe that if they are champions together in one season it would be insane!
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 21, 2023, 10:46:51 PM
Jazz has been outperformed by the Nets, it's an overall performances lead by Kyrie. I also didn't expect that since Jazz is really hot playing at home and with the past performances of Nets.

Kyrie got awaken by the negative social media attacks I guess and now he's doing his stuff
and playing against the public, he surprised those bettors who bet against them. Congrats
to those who bet for them.
Like me, several people were convinced that the Jazz would win the game, as Utah had a good record, the game was going to be at home and especially the Nets were without Durant.
But, Kyrie Irving guided the Nets to victory with an outstanding performance!
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: January 21, 2023, 08:15:45 AM
Well.. 2026 is still three years away and therefore I don't want to make any predictions. Back in 2022, Mexico reported 31,127 violent homicides at a rate of 86 murders every day. Numbers are slightly down from the 2020 and 2019 figures (94 and 95 per day respectively). Juarez on the US border is regarded as the murder capital of Mexico, and that city saw 1,045 murders in 2022 (compared to 1,420 in 2021). Ciudad Juárez isn't that big. It has a population of just 1.5 million.

My concern is that crime rate in Mexico actually went up after 2016-2017 and even now it hasn't shown any hint of slowing down. Check the murder rates by year, in the image below:

I didn't know that, thanks for that data and information.

I don't have a huge information of Mexico, so I can't share something totally assertive.

Well, another event that happened in Brazil and that many people/tourists were afraid of was related to the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil. But at the end of it all, nothing extremely serious happened in this event, so this could also happen to Mexico.

As you said earlier, the world cup will only take place in 2026, so I believe that Mexico will have time to stop these types of events or at least reduce the rate of crime, homicides and others.

If the year 2026 arrives, and the level of crime/murders/corruption and others are high, I believe, FIFA will be able to reorganize the games, and the USA and Canada will continue with this event in 2026.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 21, 2023, 08:02:04 AM
On both sides, the chances are possible LeBron can part ways with the Lakers and choose to play with the Cavs if that's the destination of his son's Bronny, that is another record that will be added under his name.

But knowing the capabilities of Lakers, if ever that the chemistry will be converted to more winning
streak after AD's comeback, LeBron can extend his stay and let the Lakers draft his son and play together
under the same jersey.
Hmm, what you said is totally plausible and could also happen.

Well, if AD returns 100% healthy and the Lakers manage to have the chemistry and teamwork like before, I have no doubt they can be champions, I could be exaggerating or being extremely optimistic about that, but I don't know, in basketball anything can happen.

Talking about a possible team that Bronny could be drafted, the Lakers is a possibility, but I believe the Cavaliers also have a big possibility with that.
LJ has a huge affection for Cleveland, he was also the player who led the Cavs to be champions in the 15-16 season, bringing the first title in history to the Cavs.
I also speculate that LeBron James will retire with the Cavaliers, for this and other reasons I mentioned above.

But unfortunately, I don't think anyone has a 100% correct answer to this question.
478  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 21, 2023, 07:45:35 AM
You are not wrong, especially yesterday.  Cheesy
I am with the Jazz and the Nuggets here, not just because of homecourt advantage but Nuggets had been on a great streak and I don't think it's the Indiana Pacers who can stop it. Just waiting if they can cover the spread but upon watching it looks like they will.

Utah Jazz on the other hand seems to have a difficult time putting a distance against the Brooklyn Nets. Kyrie is doing all the dirty work.

Look, unfortunately (or fortunately lol) I didn't place any bets on this round.

Well, unforeseen things happen, and in fact that's what happened with the Jazz vs Nets game.
I confess I wasn't expecting this result... But Kyrie Irving was on fire, and practically carried the Nets to victory!

Talking about Nuggets x Pacers game, it happened as expected, an expressive victory for Denver. I would also like to share the excellent performance that the Nuggets had in the 3 point shoot (50% accuracy), it was a very good performance!
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice on choosing a crypto casino on: January 20, 2023, 10:54:14 PM
Greetings, esteemed community. Could you help me advise? I've seen a lot of topics on the forum about crypto or bitcoin casinos, but I need clarification on their point. As I understand the crypto casino involves paying in different cryptocurrencies, and the bitcoin casino involves only bitcoins. How to choose a casino, is there a criterion for this, or do you just go to any casino and play? It's a rash move without preparation. Also interested in a payment system, which is recommended to play in such casinos? Or just a suitable crypto wallet? I apologize for my silly questions, but I want to understand everything once and for all.
I believe several users have already answered your questions, but I would like to reiterate a few things...
There are several high quality topics/posts about gambling in Economy > Marketplace > Gambling > Gambling Discussion.
Here on the forum I have no doubt that you will increase your knowledge on the subject, but it is necessary for you to know how to segregate some things in relation to gambling.
Another advice, watch some videos/tutorials on youtube (or another platform of your choice about gambling/bets), it helped me a lot when I had few informations in this area

by the way, welcome to the forum  Smiley
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ 2022 FIFA Club World Cup - Morocco on: January 20, 2023, 10:49:39 PM
Participating Teams

Al-Hilal SFC
Wydad AC
Seattle Sounders FC
CR Flamengo
Auckland City FC
Real Madrid
Al Ahly SC

The championship starts on February 1st and ends on February 11th

Do you think it will be easy for Real Madrid to win another world cup?
I always hope to see a team outside Europe to win, but it will be hard, maybe Flamengo can play in a high level to try.
Among all the teams listed in the OP , I only know about Real Madrid, the other names are all strange to me, Maybe this is because i am not actually that much into football games that are outside the normal world cup, like the one that just ended in Qatar last year..

Real Madrid being a popular team and one I've watched several of their matches, I would definitely agree that the cup might be an easy win for them, this is personal opinion though, like I said, I've never watched other teams on the list play, except for Real Madrid, I do have limited knowledge and also limited view to predict accurately .
and I also admit that I know few teams on this list, I only have a greater familiarity with Flamengo and Real Madrid.
European teams tend to have a greater chance of winning in these championships, I have no doubt that they are the favorites, but after what happened with Morocco in this world cup in Qatar, anything can happen in football....
Let's see what the future will show us
