461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next movement in the market on: April 18, 2020, 01:09:10 PM
Looks like the corona virus will affect cryptocurrency too, I think that price will fall a lot, because people will need money and will sell Crypto, what are your thoughts about that?
Yeah the virus really affect the market that is why we have experienced the biggest decrease in just a short period of time but right now we are starting to push upward again the market for the past days that it decreases. The green market that we are experiencing right now is a good sign that bitcoin halving is making a good impact even if we are currently facing a pandemic right now and many countries are imposing a lockdown in their area.

There is a big chance that the graph will continue to increase until we will hit the halving, so we can expect a green market in the following days if this will continue as bitcoin is already 7k$ plus which is good from 6k$ plus in the past days.
462  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Safety first before trading on: April 18, 2020, 08:23:22 AM
There's a lot of topics, news, trading and more that related with scam or hack still i think if your knowledgeable about where you risk then you will not experience like that so i recommend to study or search before doing trading here in crypto world then there's a lot of ways to avoid that like save or hold your btc, alts, tokens in your trusted wallets,Moreover read the news below because you can learn a lot by this like how to trade safely

https://cointelegraph.com/news/4-things-you-must-know-before-trading-bitcoin-and-cryptocurrency/amp

In order to be safe in trading, you need to have a decent knowledge on how to trade safely or low risk trading. It cannot be achieve easily as you need to gather the resources that you really need like tools and etc. in order to avoid any fatal mistakes that will cause you trouble like losing your money.

Searching and studying are the basics while experience is an advance knowledge that can be learned differently so if you are a wise person who wants to start a journey in trading then my little advise is take your time in learning the basics, gather the useful resource and lastly be patient and don't be greedy.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too good to be real projects on: April 18, 2020, 06:30:11 AM
Becareful of fake promises from new projects, some use cases can never be possible on blockchain and many don't know this, I've neglected some projects because of this, why are investors fooling themselves? The warning that says ' stay away from offers that are too good to be true' is not entirely talking about profits only, sometimes it's more than that, how can we be promised that a city will use A.I technology when no single A.I project is successful in crypto space? Be wise fellas, some things will never work on blockchain, at least not this time
As an investor it is our job to find the best project to invest on and being wise is our best key in order to be able to choose the right project. If we are not careful then we will just end up hoping for nothing while our hard earned money will just fade easily.

Most of the investors are always looking for a great ROI or profit even if it is a little bit risky as long as we know that we have a better chance then we go for it. There are many types of investors and we cannot blame those investors who are fooling themselves, maybe they have difficulties in choosing the right project and they end up believing to fake promises.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: April 18, 2020, 05:45:19 AM
Can you consciously and willingly stop gambling at any time?
If you can do the above, you have great control and discipline, of course you are not an addict and you deserve to gamble as much as you want.
If not, clarify your ways of stopping gambling.
I always have a control of my self as I can stop gambling anytime I like to stop, I don't like become a gambling addict in the future that is why I gamble for fun and I only use my extra money for it. Using our money that are not extra is not a wise decision and most of the people who are doing it are those people who are already addicted to gambling.

Having no control over your gambling expenses will cause a lot of trouble with you so it will be good that we still have a control and discipline to our gambling habit.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will coronavirus encourage people to use crypto more thoroughly? on: April 17, 2020, 11:23:02 PM
I've seen somewhere across the web, that China has been taking measures to protect physical banknotes/bills from getting infected with the coronavirus. After all, it's said that the virus could be transmitted across physical cash in circulation from one person to another. If the trend continues, people will look for other ways to spend their money safely without having direct contact with the virus. In this regard, digital payments prove to be a winner when it comes to sending/receiving money without exposing yourself to physical banknotes/bills that have could've been contaminated with the coronavirus. I believe that it could be a win-win situation for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the Blockchain space. Unless governments decide to start rolling their digital currencies to the world, everything will remain likely the same as it is today.

Do you think that the recent situation will encourage people to use (or rely) on crypto more thoroughly? What are your thoughts? Huh
Right now most of the governments are trying to create a counter measure to prevent the further infections of the virus and if physical banknotes will make the situation worst then they surely look for an alternative. Bitcoin and other currencies will be an option of course as they are digital assets especially to those countries who have no digital currency yet.

But as of the moment, frankly speaking the governments are not yet ready to use any crypto currencies as they have no control with and there are many hindrances that need to be fix first before it can be implemented. China is already in the move in developing their own currencies and once it will happen then more and more countries will surely launch their own currencies also. People are dependent to their respective governments so right now all of the decisions are on the government side if they will temporarily use a crypto to counter this virus or not.
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which projects do you hold? Which ones do you believe in? on: April 17, 2020, 02:53:47 PM
I'm currently holding the following:

BTC
ETH
ADA
XMR
BLOCK

Blocknet being a low cap project I found recently. I stick to top projects mostly, but believe low cap projects potentially gives a much higher ROI. Plan is to buy at least 1 node (5000 coins) to start a node and profit from their DEX trading fees, and their oracle network, and infura solution.

Have a few other DEX projects on my radar as well, since I believe DEX's will be used more and more (the trends shows that at least), so might not be a bad play.

Share your own list of coins/tokens!
Here are the list of the currencies that I hold and will continue to hold for a long term one.
ETH
XRP
BCH
Litecoin

But most of my investment are going to ETH and XRP, it's like 80% of my money are allocated to ETH and XRP while the remaining 20% were allocated to BCH and Litecoin. I am holding it for a long term, I decided to not hold a BTC as it is very pricey already and for me it's kinda difficult to earn a good amount of profit in the long run unlike the four currencies that I hold on to.
467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google has removed 49 cryptocurrency wallet browser extensions! Good move? on: April 17, 2020, 02:33:14 PM
Google has removed 49 cryptocurrency wallet browser extensions after a security researcher discovered they were stealing private keys. These Chrome extensions targeted users of crypto wallets, such as Ledger, Trezor.

What do you think of this move?

Of course it is really helpful as we can say that we are a little bit safer right now that google are also doing their job by tracking those extensions that were created just to steal the private keys of genuine wallets. If you can drop the 49 crypto currency wallet browsers here, it will be good also so we can avoid them and will exclude them to the wallet that we are going to consider.

Or even the link of this announcement, I just want to read myself this announcement and for me to avoid those extensions as much as possible.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally Make the Move on: April 17, 2020, 12:34:44 PM
Made a move yesterday after coming across few threads about coinomi wallet in wallets thread of this forum, missing funds, stolen recovery seeds, some said it's coinomi team, some blame SSL but I don't want this to happen to me, I finally switched to Trust wallet even though it's not fully open source, I hardly heard anything bad about the wallet.
If there are issues with the wallet that  you are currently using and you have a good amount of money that were stored there then it is wise to transfer to another wallet that you will feel more secure. I like your decision as you didn't wait for the moment that you will face any problem before you transfer and I saw that you are wise decision maker.

Other should follow your lead by making sure that they are updated to the news that are happening to the wallet that they are currently using so they can avoid losing their funds.
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market Manipulation Or Not? on: April 17, 2020, 10:52:58 AM
Recently I saw tokens generated from the bounty project 4 months ago and it was very unexpected that the price of the OKS $ 0.0239 token increased very sharply and volume in 24 hours (+ 718.94%).

Exchange:

1. https://www.probit.com/app/exchange/OKS-BTC

2. https://vindax.com/exchange-base.html?symbol=OKS_ETH

Is this real? or just manipulation of prices in the market?
which makes me a little doubtful, because the token is listed in the shade exchange!

but if this is really real, How lucky for you to have participated in the OKSchain gift project.
If we are talking about tokens especially the newly projects who increases their price in just a short period of time, you should be careful to it and make sure to not fall to this kind of tactics. If it is true, there is a big possibility that is a doing of group that pumps the price of a certain token and dumps it anytime they like as there are many groups like these.

There is also a little chance that the project owner is behind the scene or there is a little manipulation in the exchange. All of it are possible but if you have some OKS token then it is your chance to sell your holdings so you can get your profit already.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health 🤕symptoms on: April 17, 2020, 10:17:49 AM
I have read this article: Youth gambling problems: a public health perspective I consider it important for gamblers, Gambling addiction greatly contributes to drug and alcohol abuse and theft. Joining a casino makes you lose a lot of money and smoke a lot of cigarettes and wine, This, of course, will pose a major threat to your health!!!

Can crypto really give solutions to gambling addicts?
-Eliminate drug and alcohol addiction.
-Get rid of bad habits like theft.
-Reducing the risk ratio.....

😉Did joining gambling make you addicted to drugs and drink?!!

I am not so sure if crypto can really give a solution to gambling addicts in order to eliminate all the negative effects to them like drug, alcohol and theft because all these options will always depend to the gambler. As you can see not all the gamblers are like these as there are many gamblers who gamble only for fun and they know how to control themselves but in opposite side there are gamblers also who have all of it.

In my situation, I don't drink and I really hate drugs therefore I am not doing those two even if I gamble as I gamble only for fun while having a control to myself on when to stop.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Libra still pose a threat to Bitcoin? on: April 17, 2020, 09:42:19 AM
Croatian bitcoin portal published a very interesting thinking by academics and economist John Vraz on this topic.
Source: https://crobitcoin.com/predstavlja-li-libra-i-dalje-prijetnju-bitcoinu/?utm_source=email&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=news
Vraz believes that LIbra will become a very serious competitor to bitcoin.
He believes bitcoin has problems as a means of payment and that bitcoin is disproportionately used as a speculative instrument.
in contrast, Libra was built with the intention of scaling as a payment net.
Vraz: ''The differentiation of the assets on which libre stability is based is a key factor for the performance of the currency''.
FB has a large user base and therefore a large initial range.
Vraz: ''Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies threaten to undermine banks' control over cash supply. This deprives them of the ability to create imaginary leverage in the economy, because in assets like Bitcoin, money cannot be created without cover''.

"Banks can borrow "same" money up to maybe eight or nine times in the partial reserve banking system. Thus, a lot of banks are creating a massive offer of money in the system of fractional reserves. With Bitcoin, you can't borrowing what you don't have.

Very interesting thoughts from Mr. Vraz. What do you think of his ideas?
Do you think Libra will be a serious threat and competition for bitcoin?

It's too early to decide it as you can see bitcoin has been contested by numerous currencies out there both stable currencies and not stable one but still bitcoin is still at the top. Bitcoin dominance still pretty high and I cannot see any turn of events even if Libra will be launch as investors will not shift easily especially if they cannot gain from Libra.

Bitcoin is not perfect  but whatever the other projects says about bitcoin, it is not yet enough to bring it down from it's position and bitcoin became stronger as days passes by therefore there is a big chance that nothing will change even if Libra will be launch so I cannot say that Libra possesses a threat to bitcoin.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Monero got listed yet to another exchange on: April 17, 2020, 04:17:33 AM
Satang pro is an exchange from Thailand. Happy trading.

https://satang.pro/exchange/market/XMR-THB
It's good that there are still exchanges that are open to this kind of currencies because other exchanges are delisting monero because of it's privacy. But monero still in good rank and I am sure that many exchanges will continue to list it because the demand of monero is still there.

Good for Thailand exchange that they fully welcome monero, I am not that fan with monero but I love to use it someday if I have some private transactions to do.
473  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tone Vays channel deleted from youtube on: April 17, 2020, 02:08:52 AM
After watching his channel for the past month on and off (not a daily viewer but since in lockdown) noticed his channel is no more.
https://twitter.com/ToneVays/status/1250809610610642946

Strange how he had published videos almost everyday for along time and all the sudden this happens? Embarrassed

I saw that there are many cases that youtube channels are banning channels that are related to crypto currency but as what is stated in the notifications, someone reported it and they decided to ban it. It will be good if the owner will appeal to the youtube about it and ask for clear details about the deletion but there is a big chance it is related to crypto ban for sure.

Last year they are deleting channels that is related to crypto but they decided to apologize and bring back those channels that are not doing something that is against their rules. I guess they are serious in deleting channels right now and it is the worst attack to crypto users, maybe it is the right time to boycott youtube and use other alternative that are exclusive only for crypto videos.
474  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🍒 GamblingSiteFinder.com — Ranking The Best Online Gambling Sites on: April 16, 2020, 10:00:27 PM
Hey BitcoinTalk!

This is the official discussion thread for GamblingSiteFinder.com.

GamblingSiteFinder.com monitors, ranks, and reviews the best online gambling sites across numerous categories including: casino, poker, sportsbook, horsebook, daily fantasy sports, forex, dice betting, crash gambling, and online bingo. Simply scroll to your favorite online gambling category and I promise you that the best options will be there sorted by quality and popularity.

I scour many of the most popular gambling forums and news outlets every day keeping tabs on the online gambling industry. If a site listed on GamblingSiteFinder.com is involved in any sort of scandal or controversy, regardless of magnitude, you better believe I am on top of it and updating my site to reflect the news. Large scale changes or updates are even chronicled in my changelog. For more information, check out my page regarding how my rankings work.

👉 If you think I’ve missed a reputable site, added an untrustworthy site, or if you think my rankings are in the incorrect order, just leave me a comment in this thread or contact me on Twitter or Reddit. It might take me a few days or even a few weeks to get back to you, but I promise I’ll consider each and every suggestion made by my loyal readers.

Here is how I determine my rankings:

FACTORS I CONSIDER

Responsible Gambling Resources

Does your site offer players the ability to self-exclude themselves, permanently close accounts, opt-out from marketing materials, set deposit limits, conduct a “reality check”, and set parental controls? Are there links to gambling hotlines present on your site? Failure to make these resources readily available to all of your customers is an easy way to get your business removed from my site.

Gaming License

Does your site hold a valid gaming license – Curacao, Isle of Man, UK, etc.? Where your iGaming license is issued from does not affect my ranking, but an unlicensed site is certainly penalized, or in almost all cases, not listed at all.

Popularity/Perception

I scour all of the major forums on a [near] daily basis making note of which sites your customers are talking about, recommending to each other, and publicly complaining about. After a trend has been established, I tweak my rankings accordingly.

Customer Service

Does your site create a barrier between you and your customers, or do you try to connect with them? Sites with at least one “personable” representative on social media sites like Twitter, FB, Reddit, BitcoinTalk, etc. rank higher than sites that only reply with auto-generated responses via email.

Transparency/Fairness

Don’t give your players a reason to believe they’re being slighted. Gambling sites that proudly display fairness results from independent auditing firms are favored in my rankings over those who don’t acknowledge this. Furthermore, sites that hide important details from customers are severely penalized, or in almost every case, excluded from my site entirely. The most common examples of this include: a) Hiding bonus rollover requirements and excluded games within a wall of legal text, and b) Failure to disclose banking limits and fees until after your customer has already deposited funds.

Fast Payouts

Your customers do not want to wait to receive their funds and they will complain if they don’t receive their winnings fast (regardless of your stated timeframes). Sites with hassle-free, expedited payouts perform better than sites that make customers wait for an extended period of time for a payout.

FACTORS I DON'T CONSIDER

Affiliate Commission

I do my absolute best to remain unbiased. This means I do not, and will not, accept any advertising requests whatsoever. Visitors to my site can be assured that I only list the most reputable sites in each category. I often receive emails from online gambling sites offering to pay me in exchange for higher rankings. And while yes, this site is monetized using affiliate programs, I do not, and will never, rank one gambling site over another because of the commission I’ve been offered. In fact, I’m not even an affiliate for most of my highest ranked gambling sites; some of them don’t even have affiliate programs.

Your site is very simple and user friendly, you have a huge scoop also which is good that you have categorize them. I will bookmark your website for future reference as I am recently looking for a trusted gambling site where I can bet without any worries and withdraw without any delays.

I am also surpise that the current site that I use to gamble came to the last of your list, I will try to shift to your top 1 list and I am hoping that I can experience a better gamble experience to them. And I hope that you will remain fair to your rankings even if other site will try to pay you just to have a better rank in your website.
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap or Coingecko? on: April 16, 2020, 09:07:13 PM
For example, I heard lot that P2PB2B is one of the bullshit exchanges because it has fake volume, but why on coinmarketcap can in the top 3?
Whereas on Coingecko P2PB2B is ranked 114, Does coingecko know if it's bullshit exchange? so it's not in the top 3 like in coin marketcap

So which one do you trust more?
Coinmarketcap is the leading site for crypto details but with regards to exchange details, I can say that you are right the shit exchange that are faking their volume were able to rank higher so it will be good if they can fix it. There is a big chance that there will be a better update to come especially that coinmarketcap has been sold already to Binance and I would like to see whether the incoming update will be fair enough to all the users.

I am not a coingecko user so I cannot comment more about them, right now I can say that I will favor coinmarketcap as I've been using it for several years already in gathering some useful information about the crypto currencies.
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Methods that fraudsters use to scam people on: April 16, 2020, 09:08:03 AM
Here are few methods that online scammers use to scam people till date due to lack of not knowing

1. KYC Fraud

Behold, Any body can just contact you claiming they are bank executives or customer service officer from your bank and asked you to share details to complete KYC, they will actually first tell you that your account isn't safe anymore, this have proven to works on innocent people most times.

2. Fake SMS

This days online shopping can be very dangerous if you don't go through right channels, secondly you can get fake SMS about any online shopping cash back and you will be asked to share your credentials, ATM card details etc

3. Public Charging Spots

Abstain from charging your phones from any public charging spots, scammers can use some kind of chips that installs malware or spyware's on your phone while charging, this chips copies your sensitive data and inject the malware, automatically they have access to your phone, you can lose private keys this way, even every single  passwords on your phone. instead you are better off with power banks.

Most people knows about coins this days and believe me it doesn't have to be online alone before losing your private key or recovery seed, you can easily lose them offline as well

KYC is the one that I really hate but we don't have other options especially if we are going to cash out a good amount of profit in exchange to our credentials. KYC are very rampant in centralized exchange and the worst is, many of that exchange were hacked and lost a huge amount of money so how can we assure that our KYC credentials are secure.

Aside from that, phishing is also very rampant to scam the other people and most of the victims are newbies so I hope that this information's will reach to the newbies and other crypto users who have no idea about it so they can avoid it in the future.

Following image holds the private key of https://etherscan.io/address/0x812DFd7fB17f148d5F0E85Cb3018f8822Ad89E91.

We need to find private key and sweep the fund.

Announcement: https://twitter.com/CPD_Project/status/1250093655836233729

It is very obvious that there is nothing in the picture and as you can see their post.
"100 ETH is hidden in this picture. Anyone, who finds the private key, can sweep it.

Otherwise, follow
@CPD_Project
& retweet by tagging others. Everyone in the chain, that leads to the winner, will get 1 ETH each."

It is very clear that they are only boosting their followers using this technique and as I can see the balance were transferred just 2 days ago so there is a big chance that they are truly the owner of the balance. And the truth behind their post are as follows base on my deduction.
* Create a false marketing just to gather some followers
* There will be a winner of 1 ETH each but the number of winners are not stated
478  Economy / Gambling / Re: HUGE ACTION PokerBros room accepting new poker players on: April 16, 2020, 03:35:19 AM
Looking for a poker site with TONS of action, and LOTS of money to be won? PokerBros is one of the fastest growing poker websites in the world!

The site is known for VERY juicy games and BIG action, up to $5/$10 blind cash games. Dozens of games are running around the clock!

We accept Bitcoin as a deposit/withdraw method! Minimum deposit is $25 (in Bitcoin), and minimum withdraw is $25 (Bitcoin). All withdraws done within 24 hours.

Link to a previous club I ran with all positive feedback: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5124435.msg50307499#msg50307499

If you have any further questions or are ready to get started, contact me on telegram: @chazley

Any other questions I'm happy to answer in the thread.

See you soon!

I am a fan and a poker player so I am interested with it and I would like to know if are you associated with the site or one of the team behind the creation of it? What I really want to assure first whether it is secure or not because if there are bots there that were being distributed by the team behind the site then we will surely lost our money for sure.

How we can assure that we are really playing with person and not a bot? If it can be settle then maybe I will try to use your site for a test and I will check whether I am really playing with other players as I really hate those house who deploys a bot just to profit.

479  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: April 16, 2020, 02:48:02 AM
How many times one can loose all his trading accounts before really start trading and earn.

I have lost 5 times some small accounts (less than 100$)
And one little big account (400$) in trading.

As a newbie, don't start trading that easily learn the basics first so you can avoid losing too much money in your trial and error while trading. Though experience is not that bad teacher but it will be good if you have some basics of trading before you will take your journey in trading so you can enjoy trading while earning.

Any amount is a good start but as a newbie, it will be good if you will try as low as possible so it will not hurt that much if you in case loss it. Trading is pretty hard if you have no knowledge to it that is why many are doing their research first before they start. Like what exchange to use, tools to use and etc. especially that you are targeting a daily trading which is very difficult if you don't have enough resources.
480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: April 15, 2020, 11:47:59 PM
I think we all know that the halving will come in 26 days  Grin Im just wondering what are you thinking what impacts will the halving have?

Will nothing happen?
Will the price pump or dump?
Will the hashrate drop dramatically and delay block times?
I am not hoping too much to the incoming halving due to the pandemic that we are currently facing right now because many small investors will likely to focus themselves on how to survive in this type of situation. So the demand will likely to remain for the big investors who have enough money to sustain their daily lives even in lockdown while putting a good amount of investment in bitcoin and other currencies.

Most likely the market will behave to what it is right now, it will increase a little then decrease a little also. But if this pandemic will be finish, I will be expecting a good come back to the market that will trigger the bull season but with regards to halving, the timing is not good so I am not expecting too much right now.
