Someone explain something to me.
On a technical basis, how is it that invisibel implemented a mixing service in such a short time (he says 24-48 hours) while Artos and others (zerocoin) have been at it for months. It surely cant be that easy. Is fedora's a "watered down" version that will not be as secure? Is this sales fluff or legit.

Ill explain it like to a 5 year old. John buys 1btc for 1$. New "investors" come in and drive the capitalization and price rises to 5$. John sells his btc and makes 5x profit. Those who buy at 5$ dont lose. What you described is a ponzi scheme. And if you think that is what Btc and some cryptos are, then what are you even doing here? |

Things have dramatically changed in the last 12 months my friend. The level of innovation and the dramatic speed at which that innovation is taking place makes it unsurprising that the the coins/platforms that show great/legitimate potential are adopting this model. |

Has anyone addressed the security of having a Turing complete foundation? Turing complete means that Ethereum contracts will likely be absolutely loaded with common and proprietary viruses, keyloggers, malware, adware, and a slew of other bad things. I am willing to bet my bank account that in a few short months people will be crying about how they got all their wallets/currency stolen, or their computers are now running slow, or how they blue screen every few minutes after a reboot.
If you want an example of how Turing complete works, load up a peer to peer sharing program and download a bunch of .MOV files and run them. I GUARANTEE that you will get a virus. That's because Quicktime movie files are Turing complete. This is why mkv, mpeg, mpg and avi, while not impervious, are much much safer to download. If you want to invest, mine, and run contracts at the risk of losing everything then go ahead. We will never know for sure how secure Ether is going to be until post release, so asking for money without proof of security is another red flag.
The idiotic devs still haven't addressed this. Instead opting to dismiss it entirely. Hi I'm somewhat new to all of these various cryptocurrencies, I got into bitcoin somewhat recently but I've been able to understand some of the basics. After reading through everything about Ethereum it seems like a great thing the only problem is that as a completely new person I dont really understand how to get involved. Is it mining just like with bitcoin? If it is or if it isnt, could some please try to break it down to as simple terms as possible, what to do and how to start up etc, so that I could start getting more involved in the world of cryptocurrency especially Ethereum, it would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if I sound like a complete idiot by the way

Why would I invest in Ethereum now and not in Ripple? In order to be pumped it would have to start low which it won't. perhaps, but whats low in your view? my view doesn't matter, pumps need momentum, awareness rising and people jumping on the bandwagon, with maxcoin before the very first trade awareness is at the max so where do we go from there? perhaps i'm all wrong and don't understand markets at all but thats how i see it turning out.
