461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to convince my senior dad to invest in BTC on: March 07, 2023, 01:59:44 PM
I always taught him to use all the tools needed to be a good user (he even uses things like password managers and multi-factor authentication tools).
After the vulnerability, successful attack, and data breach of some password managers, I don't think it is wise to totally rely on password managers. It is better to do it locally. I hope you also teach him how to back up his multi-factor authentication equipment.

Fast forward to early 2020, just before the pandemic, I started to buy BTC and I had always told my dad about this new "digital gold". He was skeptical (he's lived most of his life with FIAT and cash after all) but curious. He thought it was too risky though.

Not sure why, but last week he finally told me he wanted to try it. So we setup his software wallet and he bought 0.01 BTC. Not sure if he'll buy more, but I can certainly say I'm proud of him!
I respect his courage but you need to teach him how to use his Bitcoin securely. Piece of advice, don't be in charge of his Bitcoin investment. Things like that have led to conflict in some families.
462  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Mining difficulty VS price on: February 28, 2023, 12:03:23 AM
Bitcoin mining difficulty level always impacts the price of the Bitcoin market but everything has changed lately the 4years cycle is no longer the way it use to be and the total bullish market started when we least expected. I believe all this happen due to the level of the market traffic.
463  Economy / Economics / Re: Would You Consider Adding Bitcoin to Your Retirement Savings on: February 27, 2023, 11:19:02 PM
Based on the limited supply of Bitcoin, block halving, and potential I think accepting Bitcoin into a retirement saving account is the best thing every Bitcoin enthusiast will ever do cause of any form of DCA method, and it's also a good plan for the future since the government keeps printing more currency.

465  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the motto of bitcoin? on: February 23, 2023, 11:12:47 PM
Bitcoin doesn't have any official motto or phrase released by Satoshi or the development team even the orange logo used for Bitcoin was independently developed by this forum user named Bitboy years ago and the community accepts it.
However, Satoshi once use the word "I've been working on a new electronic cash system that's fully peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party."
Nevertheless, some people use the word "Vires in numeris" meaning strength in numbers as the motto for Bitcoin but it's not official.
466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big businesses, corporations also influence the price of cryptocurrency market. on: February 23, 2023, 10:44:55 PM
First, there's no way Bitcoin will achieve its purpose if it's not used as a mode of payment since it was created to complete or enhance financial and payment systems with no borders.
With that being said, there are a lot of things that will impact the price of the Bitcoin market one of them is a big fintech or multinational technology company accepting it as payment or a powerful influencer or celebrity public claiming to invest in it and the same thing goes to negative news either just like we see the impact of the US SEC crackdown on Kraken, Coinbase and Binance.us days ago.
467  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Electronic devices that can detect wrong wallet on: February 16, 2023, 11:04:09 PM
Normally I believe every Bitcoin wallet automatically checks the validity of the wallet address before it will enable to send a transaction but when a correct Bitcoin wallet address is being switched to an incorrect recipient Bitcoin address that's a clipboard attack hijack.

I don't think there are any issues here, when sending from one Bitcoin address to another it's automatically you cannot send coins/tokens from one chain like a Bitcoin chain to another chain like Tron, it will detect errors it's automatic,
It depend on the feature of the wallet used though. Some people have mistakenly send another cryptocurrency to wrong blockhain and this mostly happen on CEX.

It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and say the opposite. Sam Levenson
That's correct.

I thought this merit game is inactive for quite some time and I thought that op doesn't have smerits left and I think I am right where OP is gathering smerits to continue the merit game this year. Good job op for doing such thing and giving all your effort in making this game. Good luck to all those who participate in the game and I hope newbies would also search more about the cryptogram to learn more about it.
Thank you. I will still have some smerits to host a few games. It's just that I am busy with real-life activities at some point.

Wasn't aware that this game got back online, OP was game #3 solved or not, haven't given it a shot to decrypt the message yet.
Yes. The user gets the answer correctly. I think I need to find a way to tighten the game.

470  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Electronic devices that can detect wrong wallet on: February 15, 2023, 10:38:30 PM
I want to ask if it's possible to create a device that detect wrong wallet address, i dont know such device or bot app is already existing, somebody sent Bitcoin to Bitcoin address given and since a week the person insist of not seeing the coin and not even showing a sign of coin is on process and he complained to me. Having such device that  notice Bitcoin addresses will help bitcoiners.

It's a mistake and it has being corrected to wrong Bitcoin address.
Normally I believe every Bitcoin wallet automatically checks the validity of the wallet address before it will enable to send a transaction but when a correct Bitcoin wallet address is being switched to an incorrect recipient Bitcoin address that's a clipboard attack hijack.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Know your limit on: February 15, 2023, 10:06:09 PM
Avoid ending up like a friend, who used all the money he has to invest in bitcoin and also took a loan, promising the lender that he will pay back when he gets paid in a month, after a month he never received the salary, I warned him doing this, because he has no doubt mixed investment with 'whatever it takes', is it safe to call this greed? I don't know.
This is pure greed because he invested the amount he can't avoid losing and also borrow a loan which means he's only concerned about investing the Bitcoin without playing safe.

Now he wants me to lend him some money to at least pay the loaner back and later settle me, there is more, now I have to send him some money to buy some food.
If you have the money borrow him but I will advise you to only borrow the amount you can easily overlook cause people like him will still ask you for something more than he can pay back.
472  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: don't be greedy to sell now on: January 30, 2023, 11:38:04 PM
Many people are thinking  to take advantage of Bitcoin's price now by selling and buying when it dip again before the bull run start since many are saying bear market is yet over and Bitcoin will drop again.try to study well on own before you take any action.
Greed to sell in this marginally bullish market is never a good idea, but no one can study and understand a volatile market that can choose a certain trend for no reason; the best we can hope for is to predict the market's next potential trend and hope it happens. This is what gives the impression to some people that the market bear is not over because they continue to hold on to the 4-year cycle that appears to have changed.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin Dead ? on: January 30, 2023, 11:15:36 PM
Dogecoin's journey is still very long and remember Dogecoin's Holders have spread all over the world,
so Doge is not a coin that is only held by the developer but everyone holds this coin and makes Doge really very strong in terms of community and of course fundamental,
so who anyone who says that dogecoin is dead of course it is FUD.
If Elon Musk's influence hadn't been so strong, Dogecoin would have been extinct long ago.
The OP asks this question due to the fact that, for obvious reasons, no real cryptocurrency investors take meme coins seriously as an investment, which has led to all meme coins literally dying during a bearish market and then reviving during the bullish market.
474  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise described as false bull on: January 24, 2023, 11:21:37 PM
Due to the market's four-year cycle, the bullish market was not typically anticipated to occur now. I believe this is why some people believed the current rise in the price of Bitcoin to be false, but as the market becomes more conscious, certain aspects of the market will change.

478  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Was Binance aware of the impending bankruptcy of FTX? on: January 22, 2023, 10:41:57 PM
Am I the only one who believes Binance knew in advance that FTX was going to collapse?
There's a lot of game played by SBF and it's not hard for you to know things behind doors in an ecosystem if you're one of the most powerful men in the field.

We all know that Binance played a significant role in the downfall of FTX and CZ disliked SBF.
Information is powerful, there's nothing showing CZ disliked SBF and he dislike him he would have dumped the FTT crypto when he had the chance.

I recall reading CZ's tweets last year and he seemed to be in communication with SBF. Did he know the terrible financial situation that FTX was in but hide it from the public?

Binance also divested its complete stake in FTX before bankruptcy. Is that a pure coincidence or something more sinister?

Nobody has benefited more during this whole fiasco than CZ. Perhaps more things will come out in the future but as it stands the whole situation is shady.
CZ appears to have known the FTX issue but he was not sure until Caroline Ellison tweeted and CZ tweeted after Caroline revelation. Don't blame CZ for the wrong management and abuse of user's funds done by SBF.

In response to the advice provided by EarnOnVictor, I did a lot of research on how to make the more difficult to solve and I found that there are about 26 Symbols on the computer that are equal to the number of A-Z this is what I came up with.

An example is Bitcoin = %',*.'~
Let the game begin.
