Everybody wondering about buying crypto or not, here's some more information and my personal perspective that might help you with YOUR decision - and remember there's tons more information out there to help you to employ your critical analysis and decide whether you want to and how much is appropriate for you. Perhaps you'll come to the same conclusion as I have.  Wink

Seriously depressed/down  with my investment  in this dgb.

Had hi hopes , boy was I wrong

What are you complaining about? It's impossible to be down even if you'd bought only at the highs (excepting the most recent, and in that case it's still only temporary).
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★DigiByte|极特币★★[DGB]✔ DigiSync v6.14.2 - DigiSpeed - Segwit -DiguSign on: May 04, 2017, 06:08:40 PM
Guys how much time the DGB wallet takes to sync first time? Its at Zero for long time.

Yup...it took me...hours for my one...if i remember correctly ^^""

So..it sounds about right ^^

Thanks my friend. It feels really nice to hear back so soon. Cheers

I did a new install a few days ago. It took about an hour and a half to get through the header sync, and then approximately another 4 hours to finish. ~5 1/2 hours total with a default install and a normal internet connection.

BTW, I made a bootstrap with that install (was the reason for the install in the first place), and if anyone has somewhere to host it, send me a PM. It'd be a big help for those whose online sync takes an inordinate amount of time!

Mine is still asking for 14 more years to sync  Huh what to do?

Use the bootstrap I posted just before this post of yours.  Cool

We are working on an update for the DigiByte Gaming wallet.  As always please make sure you have backed up your gaming wallet seed phrase as first required when you first created the wallet. This is the most important thing to do with any blockchain wallet.

A few things we have been able to do to get some people's issues sorted with Gaming Wallet:

1) On the front page under activity, there is a place where you can click the proposal that says "locked."  Once you click that you can delete the pending payment proposal.

2) Recreate wallet from seed phrase on chrome extension

3) Try sending smaller amounts to a new wallet (preferably v6.14.2 core wallet)

If you have been mining to the gaming wallet or received main small inputs the wallet is attempting to create a transaction that is too large from too many inputs.

As mentioned above, DigiByte v6.14.2 is a full node wallet that is considered the most reliable reference implmentaiton of the protocol. So always store large amounts of funds there.

With the latest protocol upgrades many of the syncing and timing issues that led to the creation of the gaming wallet have been fixed. We are working un an update for the Gaming Wallet and we will be announcing future plans for DigiByte Gaming in the next few months.  For the time being we will keep gaming payouts paused.

I tried everything
nothing helped

I send another amount to the same address, I issue a request for withdrawal, this amount is confirmed and displayed. Namely 1555290.9237349 can not be withdrawn, even in small shares. The wallet writes this

You've got Jared personally working on the issue. Don't worry. The funds are there and they're not going anywhere. It's not a question of if, but when. (You might even want to PM him to speed up and more effectively do the troubleshooting.) In the meantime, relax and watch as "prices and stuff" go up while you're waiting.  Grin

You've got a really good investment "locked up" there.  Wink
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★DigiByte|极特币★★[DGB]✔ DigiSync v6.14.2 - DigiSpeed - Segwit -DiguSign on: May 04, 2017, 06:47:16 AM
Have you done a re-sync on your wallet with the blockchain?

BTW, you do have a backup of your private keys, right?
https://www.google.es/search?q=digibyte+chrome+wallet+private+keys&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b&gfe_rd=cr&ei=WrMJWbT9F4PUXv7Uo6AO

As I said before, keep a cool head. Don't do anything you're not sure about, especially if it has anything to do with deleting, or reinstalling, etc., etc. There are experts who will help you if needed. The DGB is there, on the blockchain, and if you've got your private keys, there is no doubt that you will be able to "recover" those funds. And then you'll also have learned a very good lesson that important amounts of DGB are always best managed with the full core wallet . . . but that's for later. Now you need to try a re-sync.
I'm sorry, but I just had to highlight this... No personal offense meant in any way, since this user Bonus has lost/"lost"/'locked-up a pretty decent amount of assets in limbo and you're the only one thus far reacting on it for a few pages; it's just that I'm touched by the amounts of comments meanwhile regarding talk about 'real' robots and prices and stuff... Seriously?

DGB ...

I sense that you were trying to share something worthwhile, but I'm not exactly sure what. I do hate to miss out on learning opportunities, so f you could re-phrase that to make what you're saying a little clearer, I'd owe you one.

I wasn't the only one helping that user, nor the only one talking about "prices and stuff", but that's not important as there might be more than one of us who could learn. (And the 'real' robots? I'm completely lost on that . . . but, as I've said, I'm sure I've missed something.)

TIA

With loads of withdrawal, they might have insufficient funds in their live wallet and need to move more from their cold-storage to their live wallet.

I haven't been able to withdraw my xmg yet and still no reply from support

Same situation here still, no news so far - fingers crossed they will sort it out soon. It hasn't been the most pleasurable experience on Polo since the delist announcement. I managed to withdraw the other coins I had, only problem is with Magi...

hey

i say get them all off polo

That's some very good advice.

It all reminds me of Cryptsy.

It's like deja vu all over again. Wink

Like I said I don’t use light wallets but somewhere in it you need to cancel the transactions you have tried to make and then re-sync your wallet with the blockchain. After that, you should try moving the funds in smaller amounts. If all this fails and you have the seed for the wallet, your funds can still be recovered but you may need help from the dev team and I wouldn’t trust anyone other than Jared with the seed.

In the end, no one answered me, and no one helped. Support is also silent, nothing answers. My money and hanging in the system, and you can not get them anywhere. Write somebody's address where you can contact

Already 10 times synchronized, they are not output. I send another amount to this address, it can be withdrawn. From the purse there is a phrase of 11 words. I have already deleted the entire wallet, downloaded the entry, entered this phrase, the money is displayed, but you can not withdraw them.

You need to contact the Dev team directly using the contact info I posted to you yesterday. The funds are there and they'll get it worked out. Good luck.

You guys have got the right 'product' to attract the "greater fool".

Who knows? Combined with manipulated available supply and Poloniex systemic manipulation, $500 is not out of the question.

I'll bet nobody here wants to be on the buy side of that trade though! Or should I have said "predict" in this context (to avoid legal problems?  Cheesy )

Time horizon for ROI?

If you’re here for short term scalps (I’m doing it with 5% of my total position for now that will probably make it to 20% with some real price movement), please don’t sweat your day to day trials too much on this board. We can keep it to running commentaries on targets, buy levels, sell levels, and the like, with some reasoning behind our opinions, can’t we? After all, the majority here are in it for the long term and we should respect that, shouldn’t we. Wink

Long term investors, please, sit down, relax, have fun with short term fluctuations, and enjoy the ride!

---

Jared, the best marketing person in crypto? Was that a joke? The rest are trash at marketing? That was a joke, right? I mean, if it wasn’t for their marketing, they wouldn’t exist! Jared, the most honest person in crypto? Okay, I might go for that “accusation”. Smiley

---

Potential? 1000:1 DGB:BTC

---

Okay, my short term outlook? We’ve found some good short term support in the 60’s. I see the high 70’s as resistance (sellers rule up there). 55 is the 62.8% retrace of the full halfway back on the rally to highs. I think it holds on another test lower.

---

SegWit? Hey, it’s there to be used. What’s important is that we’ve got it in the toolbox. That’s big. Now, on to intelligent use. Where is the need/demand that our product is going to meet? And on to that, I say . . . MHO anyway.

---

Back to the short termers: this isn’t P&D, this is about putting together a long term project with no holes in it. Make your price projections based on that fundamental truth of slow but steady growth (which, of course, could just as well include an overnight revaluation of 10,000% based on news, which wouldn't be a spike!).

---

I think digibyte.co is subject to fairly frequent DDoS attacks. Yes, there are people who want to sabotage even us. Believe it or not, there are people who are threatened by DigiByte, very threatened.

---

@Rafassdotcom, take a look at what I wrote yesterday about the Richest DGB Wallet, then answer your own question. Smiley

DigiByte Stole, blocked my money

Relax Bonus1602, someone will help you with the technical aspects.

In the meantime, if you post the txid, your wallet info, and other details (screenshots of the message you mention, etc.), it'll help them to help you.

Don't worry, there's a solution - there always is.  Smiley

Cheers,

Where can I go for help?

You're in the right place. Someone here with the specific knowledge will help. If it's really urgent and you wanted to contact the Dev team, you could also send an email to dev@digibyte.co or just use the form mailer at http://digibyte.co/contact , but I'm sure someone with the expertise will be along to help here sometime soon (they're still sleeping in the U.S.). Good luck and keep tight.

Okay, I just saw Jumbley's post, and he's got a point. Why don't you take a screenshot of the message you're getting and post that along with the txid, specific wallet info, etc., and come back and try again? I'm sure you'll get some help if you do that. Cheers,

Making friends is also good.  Wink

Sharing diverse experience and ideas with like-minded people is especially positive, for both ourselves and others. Jackielove4u over on the GRS board was both very gracious and helpful to us by pointing miners at our groestl pools when we needed more segwit signalling for that algo, and now it's time we could show our gratitude (and better ourselves as well by learning a little something too). They've got a very nicely polished giveaway campaign in progress (yes I know I'm not a fan of giveaways, but if done right, you can twist my arm) that I think would be very beneficial for us to not only support, but to learn from as well, not to necessarily imitate, but to see, more than anything, just how much can be done, and just how professional it can look, on a very limited budget. It's also an excellent example of what effective community action will get you! Click on my referral link to get signed up, and have fun learning from the experience and well wishing another coin that seems to be doing things right. http://grsgiveaway.com/r/24989852210566106

Talking about spreading the word, polite persistence, perseverance and being consistent are always helpful allies. And when you make a mistake, don't be afraid to admit it . . . it takes a bigger man/woman . . . Finally, always look for how you can turn a negative into a positive (if there are any  Grin ).

@DigiByte Community,

We need to get more active. Not just here, but here, there and everywhere! Do you believe in DigiByte for yourself? Are you spreading the word so other people will benefit just like you? It's little, seemingly insignificant contributions done on a daily basis that make small differences and when we all join together those differences grow in orders of magnitud.

One small example: https://twitter.com/HR_DGB/status/859308602858889216

Here, there and everywhere. Reddit, Facebook, WhatsApp, with friends, at work, you name it, the list of possibilities goes on and on.

Spread the word!

DigiByte is what crypto was meant to be!
