If you are paying attention to what you are doing, it should be nigh on impossible to get phished like this. First off, how often does the forum randomly log you out and ask you to log back in whilst you are in the middle of a session? I cannot think of many (if any) occasions where I have clicked a link for a thread and been asked out of the blue to log back in again. If that was to happen I would be instantly suspicious.

Second, I have a habit of hovering over the URL before I click it, so it is pretty damn obvious if the link is not an official bitcointalk.org link.

Lastly, even if you do somehow click on a malicious link and get to a fake log in page, you should be checking the URL of the site you are on before you go and enter your personal credentials.

If you do all these things, the chances of you getting phished are slim to zero.

I actually removed the rating I left you a while back, I even PM'd you to let you know that I had done it.

You also know damn well why you received a negative rating in the first place. As a brand new member, you proceeded to offer escrow services with a brand new account, without anyone knowing you, and without any trust whatsoever. What did you expect?? You got warned the first time (you didn't get tagged) to build up somewhat of a reputation before you offered again. A few weeks later, you did the exact same thing again, which then resulted in negative feedback being left.

By the way, I don't do escrow on this forum, which if you had paid attention you would have noticed.. I can see where else this comment is being aimed towards, and I also know it was directed at me on top of that.

I don't recall anyone "shittalking" to you, but then again I am not an escrow so I don't know what happened during conversations I wasn't part of.

You guys really need to have your bounties secured with a trusted escrow before commencing work. Seeing cases like this more frequently lately - having an escrow watch over the funds whilst you complete your job should prevent a lot of this happening.

Thanks for posting about this. Sadly these schemes always take in people who have absolutely no idea what they are doing, those who just blindly invest money without any idea what they are investing in, or who they are even sending their hard earned money to.

Only once they have been scammed do they learn their lesson, and by then it's too late.

A large proportion of investors don't bother to read the terms and conditions of projects like you have done. A lot of them don't fully understand what they are "investing" in either. In cases like the one you have highlighted, should the owners run off with the money, there is usually nothing that can be done to get your money back. It might as well have been a fat donation..
