If you are paying attention to what you are doing, it should be nigh on impossible to get phished like this. First off, how often does the forum randomly log you out and ask you to log back in whilst you are in the middle of a session? I cannot think of many (if any) occasions where I have clicked a link for a thread and been asked out of the blue to log back in again. If that was to happen I would be instantly suspicious.
Second, I have a habit of hovering over the URL before I click it, so it is pretty damn obvious if the link is not an official bitcointalk.org link.
Lastly, even if you do somehow click on a malicious link and get to a fake log in page, you should be checking the URL of the site you are on before you go and enter your personal credentials.
If you do all these things, the chances of you getting phished are slim to zero.

Ouch zazarb, that is a hell of a lot of money. I will leave a rating on his account, I am sure other DT members will too. I genuinely hope he comes and resolves this situation, and that you get the BTC you are rightfully owed.

Hi everyone, I would like to ask, how can we earn trust in this forum? I would like to earn trust thanks in advance. Engage in transactions with others where you are being trusted by others, perform those transactions well, and if you impress people they'll leave you trust ratings. Trust is largely overrated. And don't ever ask for trust. If you do a few overzealous goons who've been here a long time will leave you negative trust for no fucking reason. Also, regarding transactions don't try to offer escrow services, if you do the few (like 5) people who offer regular escrow services will talk shit to you and leave you negative trust simply because you're trying to be a new player in the market. The escrow industry on this forum, while legit, is literally a fucking racket. Collusion, etc. You have something to say, HabBear?... I actually removed the rating I left you a while back, I even PM'd you to let you know that I had done it. You also know damn well why you received a negative rating in the first place. As a brand new member, you proceeded to offer escrow services with a brand new account, without anyone knowing you, and without any trust whatsoever. What did you expect?? You got warned the first time (you didn't get tagged) to build up somewhat of a reputation before you offered again. A few weeks later, you did the exact same thing again, which then resulted in negative feedback being left. By the way, I don't do escrow on this forum, which if you had paid attention you would have noticed.. I can see where else this comment is being aimed towards, and I also know it was directed at me on top of that. I don't recall anyone "shittalking" to you, but then again I am not an escrow so I don't know what happened during conversations I wasn't part of. Don't be so God damn sour. You are supposed to be an adult FFS.

5 BTC for an extra 6 inches in height? that is like $4700 per additional inches.
yeah, it's very rare herb. How stupid do you think people are....please close this stupid thread down so I don't have to see over and over again your sales pitch for magic beans that make you grow. And don't pull this shit that it really works, no one believes you and for good reason. "Magic beans don't exist". You are selling advil for $30k and telling people they will grow.... grow up, don't act childish. You are the only who really need this. BTW I already sold it. Grow up really? Why because I'm trying to point out the wierdest scam attempt I have seen to date. And you didn't sell this stop it...take your magic beans to some other forum Haha wheelz, it's no use! Let the little fool (haha) have his fun, he's obviously got a couple of screws loose.

Who did you sell it to? a good friendly buyer whom I met via Kijiji.. Well I really don't believe you, and I don't really care either - but if you have sold this/scammed some fool, please lock this ridiculous thread as it has now served its' purpose.

what have these silver gilts been going for recently? 1.5BTC premium seems a bit steep to me, any interest in selling near 2BTC?
2 BTC seems to be about right currently (buyers market at present). I just picked up an MS69 for close to that price.

You guys really need to have your bounties secured with a trusted escrow before commencing work. Seeing cases like this more frequently lately - having an escrow watch over the funds whilst you complete your job should prevent a lot of this happening.
If they are not willing to put the funds in escrow, then maybe they weren't planning on paying you to begin with ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is hilarious. I think the second account is decoded. I'm glad you think my account is worth 1.2 BTC. DT Members tag please. Obvious troll is obvious. Yep, agreed. Obvious trolling, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same person under the username midnightstart. Tagged.

It appears that midnightstart put EXtremeAEX's account up for sale in this thread. Another negative rating has been left for impersonating another user.

Ok, hope to clear things up with this last post. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1935179.msg19863774#msg19863774Over here you can see my BTC Address as quoted: 1CykGpvBDw7X37zUdkvMZdY5GqC2wZ6MtW ArchiveHere is a signed message from my Electrum Wallet: ---------------------------------------- Hi! I am EXtremeAEX, 28/10/2017 ILaLJwHaIDA4vyDfPAAMVRbiZoCNVHfz6hOd2aGBA0A7ZcdRRII4PbNL9kwr+m0Kkz/zX0dpyuk0cpPVX+GAfqA= ---------------------------------------- What this guy is doing is that he is pretending to have the account of someone else (for fun???) I can also say I am selling a hero member account with 490 act. and 2156 posts, with green trust. Wish to resolve this ASAP. (I will stake my address after this has been cleared) Asking for a signed message rn.
Signed message is not enough to make that he is not midnightstar.. 1. Why he is can go on this topic immediately when his name appear? 2. Why he and his alt. midnightstar give 1BTC risky positive trust for each? TRUSTED ABUSED, SCAM ALERT.midnightstart probably sent him the trust to make this look sus EXtremeAEX. It's innocent until proven guilty. Alright, benefit of the doubt given on this occasion.

Hopefully people have read this post and made up their own minds before sending their hard earned cash to these people. There is no excuse to treat your investors like piece of shit.
Thanks for posting about this. Sadly these schemes always take in people who have absolutely no idea what they are doing, those who just blindly invest money without any idea what they are investing in, or who they are even sending their hard earned money to. Only once they have been scammed do they learn their lesson, and by then it's too late. A large proportion of investors don't bother to read the terms and conditions of projects like you have done. A lot of them don't fully understand what they are "investing" in either. In cases like the one you have highlighted, should the owners run off with the money, there is usually nothing that can be done to get your money back. It might as well have been a fat donation..

Sorry if there is a misunderstanding but that isn't me and I have not given my account to anyone. OP had just copied and pasted my info and impersonated me. ArchiveSorry, my mistake. Archive.
Are we 100% sure that the account EXtremeAEX is NOT the one mentioned for sale here? It is easy to say you have been impersonated once you have been caught. I am not saying this is the case, but I cannot help but wonder...
