Scammers are not banned from the forum. They are tagged as scammers and that is it.
People need to use the trust rating system to work out who is reliable to trade with, and who isn't. In other words, do your due diligence on those you want to trade with.
In the case of megacrypton, their rep (or whoever he is) has been tagged. There is nothing further we can do.
Upset, so actually he can continue to promote his scam website here Unfortunately, yes, he can. Scams are not moderated. It is down to individuals to due their due diligence on a person or company before they trade. Sorry, not the answer you wanted - but it is how it is, I don't make the rules.

I would advise anyone and everyone from trading at live.megacrypton.com until this has been resolved. Actually, I would advise against trading there altogether. There are a lot more trustworthy exchanges out there to choose from.
Is there a certain time he needs to return Btcs back? So if he not you can ban him out ouf this forum. Scammers are not banned from the forum. They are tagged as scammers and that is it. I am finding these daily bumped threads by bitmarket annoying as well. This is only starting to get to me lately though, as these threads have been going for months now, with little to zero interest at the current listed prices. If bitmarket was listing his coins at market/competitive prices, these would have sold a long time ago. In fact, I would have likely bought the 10 BTC and the 1 BTC "error heart" if the prices were more reasonable. That said, he is free to charge what he wants, but the constant daily bumps of all 3 threads is getting on my nerves as well.
I know I am not the only one annoyed by this - just look at the post by hybridsole in the 10 BTC Casascius thread. Lutpin also finds it annoying, hence the thread here. And before you ask, no, I was not asked to comment here, I chose to post as I have an opinion on this as well. I am an avid crypto coin collector and trader, and the majority of my posts are in the Collectibles section, and I therefore see these daily, like clockwork, bumps.
It is clear that no one is prepared to pay the prices that bitmarket is asking for his coins. He is free to do as he wishes price-wise, but these 3 threads should be combined into 1, which is what I think Lutpin is asking. It will serve the same purpose, and at the same time people won't get irritated with it. Seeing one thread bumped daily is fine, 3 is excessive.
IMO.

Thanks Zepher, looking forward to being back in the green again. Take care.
Not a problem. Your account is now green again. Once again, I appreciate you making good on the damage the hacker did. You take it easy, and remember to keep that password nice and strong This should be standard practice. If your account gets "hacked", you are responsible for any damage done if you want it back.
100% agreed Vod. Sadly, what has happened here is quite unusual (as I am sure you know yourself). Seeing the account owner repay damage done is quite uncommon. Most will just abandon the account. Thanks for removing the neg.
Right, there is no longer any point in this thread remaining open. I thank everyone for their help with this. This was not the outcome I anticipated, I must admit. A little faith in humanity has been restored. Will be locking the thread. If anyone has any further questions, feel free to send me a PM. Thanks! Edit: I have had a request to leave the thread unlocked as there is still 2 untrusted feedbacks on str4wm4ns profile. If other users have a scam accusation against str4wm4n, then they need to open separate threads. This one has fulfilled its purpose.

I'll just leave this here hahaha. Apparently he's got quite the life outside of cryptocurrencies it seems. Too bad my post got deleted and the thread was locked. It was pretty damn hilarious if I do say so myself. I don't know what to make of this guy. Sold account maybe? I guess it seems like the same person though. Heh, nearly all of us who commented in that had our posts deleted That is one very weird thread/posts. If you look at the writing style and use of the English language, it could be argued that it may be a totally different person behind the account now. Personally, I am not sure, nor do I really care, but there is a clear difference if you look at the posts and changes over time. As for the matter at hand, this user has backed out of 2 auctions recently after they had ended. One being Crypto Imperators 1/2oz Gold 1 BTC Coin #1, which they won @ 1.5 BTC (plus funding amount of 1 BTC). They did not honour this bid and backed out, because they "didn't want the coin". Then there is another thread in the Collectibles Section, where they won an auction for 2 Genesis Coins (which are all unfunded by nature). The proceeds of this auction were going to the Salvation Army, so, a charity. They did not honour that bid either, for reasons that aren't quite clear - as they seem to contradict themselves. Check for yourself. Had they read the thread before making a bid, what they were bidding on was clear as day. There is another case where they bid 15 BTC on a BTCC Mint Bitcoin Block. They did not win this auction however, so we do not know what would have happened had they done so. It is pretty clear that this user does not read the entirety of a thread before making bids, which they then have no intentions of honouring because it is not what they were expecting. I have personally asked them to stop doing this, and to read the OP of a thread before making a bid, as this habit is not going unnoticed. It is downright annoying, and when it comes to a charity auction, plain down wrong.

Nice coin at a phenomenal price Lesbian Cow I am sorely tempted, but I will let someone else snap this up. If it hasn't sold at this price by tomorrow (which would seriously surprise me) I might come back for it. To everyone else: This is a steal @ 1.75 BTC
