783  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this unimpeachable? Community ADVICE needed on: June 01, 2017, 04:05:59 PM
This is immoral, and extremely bad etiquette.

You won the auction @ 0.03 BTC. End of story. He needs to honour it, or keep the rating I am about to leave him.

Things don't work this way. Auctions are unpredictable, he should have created a sales thread instead if he wanted a guaranteed price.

Let me know if he changes his mind, and I'll remove the rating.
Thanks man for the feedback...I hope he understands it now and rollback his mistake. Even though he seems much older than you in bitcointalk but you have dedicated a significant activity of yours in collective and auction section,so your review matters a lot.

Not a problem.

I would hope that he realises his error here and does the honourable thing - letting you have the goods/service for the price agreed (which is 0.03 BTC at the close of the auction). It matters not that (if) he received a higher offer after the fact, he needs to stick to what was agreed at the time. Then he should use this situation as a second thought going forward - if you want a fixed amount for something, then make a sales thread. Auctions are, again, unpredictable (I have been stung many times in the past) and will only fetch what the market decides is fair.

My account is certainly older than his, but that doesn't have anything to do with this Smiley

Good luck with this, and please let me know if you need the rating revised.

Thanks!

Worth noting, you got an absolute bargain here. Well played.

I wouldn't have let this coin go for less than 1.4 BTC.

I don't really know frankly, I just like the coin and plan to start a collection of physical BTC =]

Well, I have been dealing with Titan coins (buying and selling) for quite some time now, and I have never seen one of these go this low. Consider yourself lucky, this is a great start to any physical crypto collection, and for a fantastic price Smiley Enjoy the coin man.

Yeah, definitely a good deal.  In fact I offered Blazed more for it via PM before it went to auction.  Sadly I walked away from the CPU thinking the auction was over at 7:00 EST.  Such is life.  Sad

Ah man, that sucks Sad Keep your eyes peeled, these occasionally pop up for sale. Shoot me a PM, I might be able to get you one for ~1.4 BTC or less. It won't be graded though.

790  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Nolacoin 3 BTC piece REDEEMED/EMPTY on: May 31, 2017, 01:33:06 AM
What an absolute shame that this coin has been redeemed  Cry These are nigh on impossible to obtain, and is something I would have wanted (funded) for a customer of mine. Damn. That genuinely sucks.

Nonetheless, 0.01 BTC
791  Economy / Collectibles / Re: SIGNED Ethereum history book on: May 30, 2017, 11:35:16 PM
A copy of the book titled "Ethereum - Distributed Consensus (A Concise Ethereum History Book)" is being auctioned at:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112421449885?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Interesting.  Are you the author?  Is there a story behind the signature?  I'm not familiar with this product.

Yes, I am the author.  I have published ten books which are all available on Amazon.  It is a chronological history of events of Ethereum from late 2013 to the 17th March 2017 (market capitalisation was ~US$4 billion on that day).

<- currently the high bidder Wink

794  Economy / Reputation / Re: nachius 'Default trust member' BOUGHT account?! on: May 29, 2017, 10:57:45 PM
Not sure if it changed hands or not but the account is no longer in DT.

I'd imagine that nachius won't be nearly as active anymore - especially if the account was bought.
I'd say if that account was bought he surely lost the money since he would have paid a bomb to buy a DT account. Can conform the account is out of the DT network.

It is. No longer part of DT, that is. Seems strange though as I questioned him a short while back regarding some trades and feedback he left after, and was provided evidence of the trades I believed to be legit.

Too many queries regarding this account lately though, so this is likely for the best.

nachius is out of DT, and therefore, this thread has achieved its' purpose.
795  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Auction] Casascius 2011 Brass ERROR 1 BTC GRADED MS-64 on: May 28, 2017, 02:18:44 AM
For closing my not honored auction at the end of this re-auction:

Anduck proposed this for resolution: You pay me the difference, which is 0.15 BTC. This is the amount of loss I got.

I have accepted this resolution and i have paid 0.15 to Anduck txid: 29a4f1812b7e1cd8c82db1d078d6f59bf8b3eeefaef97e52aa67aafaf34e5fba

Best regards to all

Maicol792

Well, imo you do not deserve red now after "making things right". Nice to see someone fix an honest mistake.

Agreed. I had left a neutral rating to reflect what had occurred here, and the situation with LC. I have removed the rating since this was rectified. Maicol, I hope this teaches you that honouring your bids is a must around here, and further, denying a buyer escrow is just as bad, if not worse. Glad to see this resolved.

798  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: tiptopgemdotcom scam on: May 27, 2017, 09:47:14 PM
I am willing to remove all negative and ask others to remove them if my 125 USD lost funds are restored. I'll very happy about that. And then you can pm him privately to reset his password and email. This is my wallet:

Thank you for taking this story not too personal, what1005.
I hope you won't have trouble with scammers ever again. By the way, be careful with Paypal in general, it can easily be frozen or refunded up to 6 months later..

Ente,

You have done a very honourable thing here. It has been noted. Thank you for making what1005 whole, though it was not your place to do so.

I will remove the rating.

@tiptopgemdotcom - if you haven't already, change your password to something that cannot be cracked easily.
799  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: TaaS ICO and Bounty Scam on: May 27, 2017, 12:29:59 PM
I have given them enough time to sort their incompetence. They have done nothing to mitigate the damages caused by this, nor have shown any remorse for misleading the community. This leads me to believe that this was done on purpose, thus they have effectively scammed the community.

Negative rating has been left to the TaaS account. I am not sure what the relation between the starter of the thread and the TaaS team is. Depending on that, I may tag him/her as well.

Was just going to post pretty much this. People who have not been paid, please make a post here, we will create a list.

My neg tag remains until EVERYONE has been paid.
800  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: tiptopgemdotcom scam on: May 27, 2017, 10:58:13 AM
Well, this situation is unacceptable for me.
I bought several gemstones from Dave, since 2013. Four digit pricetags. If you look around a bit on bitcointalk, you will see that he is a highly valued member since 2011, one of the earliest Bitcoin-accepting vendors worldwide. He always goes out of his way to make us folks happy.
It is nothing short of absurd to assume he scammed 125 USD out of someone, or would scam any amount at all.

Now there's two solutions I can see here:

- I involve a mod, he might be able to figure out what happened (password resets, login IPs etc), but probably will not be able to recover the lost funds

- I donate 125 USD to restore the lost funds, Dave changes his password (he surely did already), the situation is considered resolved and the negative rating are removed.

This offer is only valid for what1005. It is no "stand in line here to receive free 125 USD".

Let's clear this up please.

Ente

Sounds adequate to me. If what1005 is made whole again, I am perfectly happy to remove my negative rating.

It would certainly appear that tiptopgemdotcom has had his account hacked.
