Telsa delays production of Cybertruck to 2023: source
https://news.yahoo.com/telsa-delays-production-cybertruck-2023-051515648.html

Quote
A source exclusively told Reuters on Thursday that a plan to begin production later this year was pushed back to early 2023.

Quote
Tesla wants to make changes to the Cybertruck's features and functions in order to make what the source called a 'more compelling' product.

Sorry, not some pleasant news. But imho also far from unexpected. I guess that those waiting need more hope and patience.
On the other hand, with some luck, it may cost way less bitcoin to buy it Grin

I'm starting to wonder if the Cybertruck will be completely different by the time it actually gets made commercially or look not much like the prototypes. The biggest thing I like about it is how revolutionary it is in design and it doesn't look like any other vehicle and could be something out of a sci-fi movie ala Blade Runner. Another thing that worries me is it might not even be street-legal in the UK:

https://www.forbes.com/sites/carltonreid/2019/12/16/tesla-cybertruck-not-street-legal-in-eu/?sh=61072b544d8b

Quote
The European Commission has strict automotive testing and safety protocols, and the Cybertruck—as is—would fail many of them, including increasingly stringent pedestrian and cyclist protection standards. Perhaps when it finally reaches the market sometime in 2021 or 2022, the futuristic-looking electric vehicle will have been modified to meet EU standards, but that would mean significant changes having to be made to the Cybertruck’s angular stainless-steel shell.

And it’s the Blade Runner-style aesthetics that are wowing audiences, including Blade Runner’s artistic director Syd Mead. He told Business Insider that Elon Musk’s latest toy was “stylistically breathtaking.”

That it may be, but, to be driven in Europe, the Cybertruck would need to be redesigned in different materials. Or, perhaps Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk is banking on the Cybertruck being sold in the U.S. only? Many motor vehicles in the U.S. are exempt from pedestrian protection protocols.

According to EU auto standards expert Stefan Teller the Cybertruck would have to undergo “major modifications to the basic structure” because the Cybertruck “contradicts the European security philosophy.”

Though maybe the UK doesn't have to abide by European Union standards now after Brexit, but I'm not sure Elon would go to the trouble of changing all that stuff just so it could be sold in Europe. It seems like it would need a from-the-ground-up overhaul just to be legal and it might not even be financially worth doing so. Trucks aren't as popular in the UK as elsewhere and the pre-order stats for Europe pale in comparison to North America:

462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Collection Thread] Series and films in which Bitcoin (or Altcoins) appear on: January 14, 2022, 12:53:42 PM
There are two small references to bitcoin and cryptocurrency in the movie "Don't look up" on Netflix:

1:16:45 --> someone in the background just shout "Buy cryptocurrencies!"
1:21:54 --> one character says, off-camera: "Not bitcoins. Ratcoins..."

Yeah, saw this, but it was so minor and quiet I had to turn on the subtitles to check I heard correctly.

There's a film coming out this year that seems to have bitcoin at the center of the plot:

Philippe Coutinho has signed with Villa. Never saw that coming. Kieran Trippier has also gone to Newcastle. Wonder if the Geordies will sign a big name this year. Not sure I'd put Kieran Trippier in that bracket.
I used to love how Coutinho plays, so its nice to see him in the Premier League again. Whether or not he'll gain his previous form from when he was here last will remain to be seen, but I think it was quite obvious to everyone watching at the time, he has something special about him. Since leaving Liverpool his career has taken a massive downer though.

I'm sure he'll do well at Villa though he'll seem out of place. It's a weird signing for sure. Is he starting this weekend? They're playing Man United. I was tempted to go with a draw on that game but a home win wouldn't surprise me either given Man U's shakiness right now. If Coutinho is playing I might back it.

Trippier is a decent signing, probably the best they can get considering they will likely be battling for relegation. I know they pretty much have unlimited money, but not all the top players want to be earning money, they also want to be winning trophies.

I haven't been following him since he left the PL but going from ATL to Newcastle is a big drop off for him. Was he playing much there or is he just getting a bigger paycheck out Newcastle? If they beat Watford tomorrow then they'll leapfrog them out of the relegation zone so could be a good match to watch.

I have to say, Adama Traore coming on in 2nd half looked like he doesn't even belong in Championship. Shocking ball control, shocking passing, he was never a clinical finisher and poor Jimenez looks like he's afraid of the shadows, but Adama has to be one of the most regressed players I've ever seen coming up from Championship.

Seems a bit harsh. I don't think he's an excellent player, but he's impressed me more often than not when I've seen him play. He's good enough for Watford let's put it that way, and they've been doing great this season. I do agree with Welsh though, that his speed and size probably aid him and I have seen him tear through half the pitch before.

465  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: January 01, 2022, 05:29:23 PM
Without double checking the numbers (I may have missed a transaction), it adds up to 40,9048.51 USD based on Blockchair's USD estimate at the time funds were moved from the escrow address.

Thanks. I think $40k is approximately the number we should be looking to be accounted for then, though it could be more or less depending on what he actually did with it once it was moved. It could have sat on exchanges for a while or been traded or loaned out etc. The pictures of the things that have been posted probably wouldn't amount to more than a couple of thousand USD I would think. Even then, we can't be certain the money was spent on those goods either. He or others could be working for other businesses or charities that are involved in such action and these guys could just be taking credit for it.

I think if he did spend a decent chunk of money on charitable actions then he probably should be able to provide a lot more evidence other than a few pictures as there should be a good paper trail. I'm guessing he didn't pay for everything in cash so there should be some bank statements that he could show to prove that at least some money was spent on what he said it was. He did offer to share his bank statements with someone so maybe someone should look into that. Does anyone know how much he earns? I saw in his last post that he claimed he spent half a million on his wedding. If he's being serious and that's in his native currency isn't that nearly 10k USD? That would probably be a very elaborate wedding by Philippine standards.

Unfortunately if they can't really provide any evidence of where the money is gone I think greed probably got to them.
I don't think the lack of being able to prove their expenses is evidence of wrongdoing. They did not agree to prove their expenses and continued operating for years without proving their expenses, but did receive additional donations after their level of documentation was well known.

Someone asking questions is not evidence of guilt.

I'm curious of all the TXIDS that happened during the spit that cabalism mentioned. Also, as escrow, why you agreed vs keeping the funds in escrow?
As a charity, their intention is obviously to spend their donations on charitable causes. The only way to spend donations is to distribute money to those able to spend money on causes the charity wants to help.

Where have the funds gone?
'I don't know' or 'we spent them'.
Can you show proof of this.
Not really.

That doesn't look good does it? Of course not being able to provide 100% proof for 100% of the funds means they misspent all the money on themselves but if they can't show reasonable proof where all this money went we should ask why that is. When you cash out the money they will have sent it to their bank account and if they gave that money to the charity then there should be a very good paper trail there. Of course, if they've spent it on living a life of luxury for themselves then it would be a lot harder to account for. Without any sort of proof or accountability we really can't just take their word for it. I would assume of anybody that if they couldn't provide reasonable proof of where the money went then there has been at least some misappropriation. cabalism13, in his last post, seems to have gone on the defensive and used the criticism as an excuse to just leave rather than try rectify the situation. Why would that be? It would be much better for everyone if he actually tried to show proof of where all this money has gone but if he knows he can't then what else is he to do other than just bounce and run away from the situation?
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 01, 2022, 04:43:52 PM

A very bold prediction from LTU there  Grin. I'm guessing he wanted to go for 1-3. Looks like the game is going to end 0-0 anyway so probably nothing lost.

Damnit, I knew I shouldn't have clicked on this thread before watching the Arsenal/City match.  Oh well, I really had high hopes for Arsenal for their home game against City.  This could have been the match where Arsenal established themselves as a legitimate Top-Four team for the season, and would have been a great way to start the new year.

They're doing well but I don't think well enough to beat City. Got the exact score right on that one but it's probably the only points I'll be getting from today.

The Sunday games look hard to pick for me. I've got all draws in but I might have to change some. Maybe Leeds and Liverpool can get wins. I'll wait for the line-ups as that will be a big factor, especially for Leeds.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 30, 2021, 12:00:12 PM
I never expected that performance from Liverpool yesterday, totally disappointing and they lost quite a few valuable points in the title fight. If Manchester City wins tonight things will get very difficult for Liverpool to follow and they may totally focus on the Champions League rather than fighting on the two fronts.Probably because of this tight schedule but that schedule was also tight for West Ham as they played their third game in 6 days and they completely destroyed Watford.

Leicester were lucky really. Only one person backed the Leicester win and nobody went for a draw. Nobody backed the draw on the Chelsea game either, though Brighton got the equaliser in injury time. Fucked up my acca as well haha.

I wonder if there could be an upset in the Man United game tonight? I've gone for a comfortable home win but Burnley have cranked out 5 draws in their last seven games and I'm not sure I trust United that much right now especially as they drew to Newcastle last week so another draw wouldn't surprise me.

Bloody Chelsea, I swear any time I put a bet on Chelsea they end up doing what I predict, but they manage to at least mess up one of my bet builder options. For example, I had them to be drawing at half time, and then drawing at full time. Brighton missed a few shots, and I thought the Lukaku goal despite being a decent goal from him should have been defended better.

I've been so close to winning big money with the bet builder, but I usually fall at the first hurdle. This time it was Chelsea, I bet the rest of the games I have on it will come in.

Chelsea were on the Skybet super boost acca and were the only team to let me down.

That Manchester United squad is brimming with talent they just can't seem to get on with each other, and there probably needs to be major adjustments to how they play or move on the players that are causing the issues. I don't think Ronaldo is good for that team, yeah hes been vital the last season getting much needed goals, but overall his attitude or ego if you will likely has a negative effect on the squad overall. I've watched Manchester United a few times this season, and they seem to always want to play through Ronaldo whenever he plays which takes the effect of Rashford, and the like away.

I'd say Ronaldo, Pogba, and Maguire need to be moved on. Not only for their performances, but their attitude, as well as their influence within the dressing room. We all know Ronaldo has a winning mentality, and is one of the best players to ever play in the Premier League, but I don't think he's what is needed at Man Utd. Pogba has looked brilliant in spells, but overall doesn't look like hes bothered to play. Maguire was a poor signing from the start, and should have never been near a starting player for Manchester United.

I can imagine Ron causes a lot of drama behind the scenes and other players won't like the special treatment he gets. Probably not nice playing in his shadow. He probably think he's too good for the team right now. I wonder if he'll leave at the end of the season when his contract runs out. Not sure where else he would go though. I can't imagine him sticking it out with Man U if they don't win anything which isn't looking likely this season.
468  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 30, 2021, 11:20:23 AM
We should always be very sceptical and overly scrutinise these sorts of charities as we are with things like new escrows as this stuff can easily happen and once people have money in their sole possession it's easy to get greedy especially when it's potentially a life changing amount. It's always easy to fake your 'charity' work as well. Anyone can fake some receipts or even buy a van full of food and supplies and take a couple of pictures giving a couple of bags to people and then just pocket the rest. You could even just return most of the stuff you bought once you've got some pictures of it etc. Without any sort of checks and balances the money can go anywhere. I remember a few years back there was a trend of fake giveaways/"charity" work on YouTube. Film yourself giving money or goods to some homeless people and then when the cameras are off they were just taking it back and only letting them keep a very small fraction of it.

I would lock this thread but I want to wait til the holidays are over and see if the other 2 pop in and give a reasonable explanation as to the facts and try to clear up any 8ssues users have.

I don't think the thread should be locked until the issue is resolved. I looked over the thread yesterday and the pictures of the 'charity' work that was posted could've probably cost them less than $1000 in total. You could probably fill up a couple of vans full of cheap food, water and basic supplies in the UK or US for that and I imagine that stuff is a fraction of the price in the Philippines. Unfortunately if they can't really provide any evidence of where the money is gone I think greed probably got to them. Does anyone have an idea of how much the money was worth when it was moved from the escrow? I keep seeing figures of 1 and 2 bitcoins and if that was moved at the all time high then it could be a lot of money.

Couple more games have been cancelled:

Quote
Two matches have already been cancelled this weekend, the Premier League have confirmed.

Leeds United and Watford both requested that their matches be postponed due to a high number of Covid cases in their respective camps.

The Premier League subsequently confirmed that Liverpool vs Leeds, and Wolves vs Watford, have both been called off.

But, more postponements are likely to come over the coming days.

https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1540492/premier-league-boxing-day-fixtures-cancelled-evg

Figured as much. I'm sure some teams are taking advantage of this or will claim there's positive covid tests when in reality there might not be. Several managers have already voiced their displeasure about the busy and packed xmas/new year period and this is the perfect get out clause. Leeds could certainly do with a break whilst their injuries recover. The game against Liverpool probably wasn't going to be pretty.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 20, 2021, 06:14:55 PM
That Livepool game had referee who was not up to the occasion and he helped a lot with his decisions to make players more nervous and consequently get more cards. How is it possible that Kane did not get red card for start on Robertson and then Robertson gets it for less dangerous one?

The same happened in the Leeds Arsenal game. Xhaka nearly snapped Raphina's ankle in two with his studs and didn't even get a card. VAR didn't even seem to check it. Then Gelhardt went and did a similar one but in no way as reckless or anywhere near as bad and then got booked. No consistency at all and shameful that VAR isn't even asking refs to review them. Thought that was the whole point of VAR. Teams really should be able to request a review of certain fouls.
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 - December 18 on: December 20, 2021, 06:01:55 PM
Such a fall from grace...  Even Woodley’s mom is having a laugh at his loss while celebrating Jake Paul’s win.  Hilarious.  I mean he was the UFC’s champion at 170 who beat Robby Lawler, Darren Till, Stephen Thompson and Demian Maia.  All big names during their day.  Now he’s reduced himself to be a youtuber’s b*tch.  Sad.

I wouldn't feel too sorry for him. He probably got the biggest payday of his career and the Rolex was a nice early Christmas gift. He is pushing 40 so he's not in his youth anymore so it's probably best he just makes the most of that money he's got because I doubt he'll be getting anywhere close to that again. It's not like most fighters don't just take any pay days they can get after their prime. Even the greats usually do it.

Lucky punch.

You could probably say that about most punches. I think it deserves a place in the highlight reel of the best knock-outs of the year.

That was one hell of a knockout highlight.  Looks like Woodley was gassed pretty bad at that point.  This is why you don't take a fight at the last minute...

Now it's all about who is next...  Masvidal got called out but seems to only want to MMA, which I was surprised to see a great fighter basically cower from a challenge in the ring.  That says something about what Paul is doing and that he's getting respect from real fighters now.

Le'Veon Bell wanting to be the next to fight Paul seems intriguing to me.  Supposedly Bell is a great fighter and a hell of an athlete.  I'd like to see that fight.  I'd rather see him fight a real boxer at this point though, or at least a non-retired fighter of some kind.

I'd still like to see the Tommy fight, even though I think Jake probably does a number on him. Though, at least then we would be able to gauge his ability against a fighter to is still very much currently partipating in primarily a boxing aspect, rather than mixed martial art, and retired fighters.

I'm really hoping this fight gets made. I wouldn't back either of them because I think it's a fairly well-rounded fight but the pressure will be on Tommy. I'm wondering if he might even dodge the fight now after that knock out. The stakes are huge for both of them. If Jake wins then people really will be talking and the bigger names will come calling. If Tommy loses that will follow him around for the rest of his career. It might even end it. It's a logical step for Jake as it gets him the credo of fighting an active pro boxer without trying to fight someone who will either take his head off or shamefully out box him.

Masvidal would be sweet, though Jake probably wins that from a boxing point of view. Though, Masvidal being from a street fighting background might be able to fair better than previous MMA fighters against Jake, although I'm not sure I'm prepared to see the circus it would create if Jake Paul managed to knock out Masvidal.

I'm not sure about that. Masvidal is pretty tough. If I was Jake I'd leave him alone and take someone less risky like Fury before trying to snare someone like Mayweather or McGregor. I think McGregor will be itching to take a fight like this especially if he keeps losing in the UFC.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 - December 18 on: December 19, 2021, 02:22:22 PM
Pretty boring and largely uneventful fight until Jake landed that devastating knockout blow from nowhere. Nobody saw that coming. I was a little worried for Jake with that cut as it looked pretty nasty but looked like his corner kept on top of it very well.

Many people in social media say that this was a fake fight. Woodley wasnt as active as usually, he intentionally moved left arm down and ate that heavy punch. With all respect, Jake improved his boxing. That was a clean and nice punch. He moved back and landed a pefrect quick overhand. Many thought that Tommy Fury would easily beat Jake. But with boxing like that, Tommy would be in trouble.

Don't listen to idiots on social media. Anyone who says that is fixed is a complete moron who doesn't know what they're talking about. It was a pretty vicious KO. In slow motion you can see the damage done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xzYLkxjdag

Nobody can stop their brain rattling around in their skull like that.

Jake Paul gave Tyron Woodley an expensive Rolex watch and which Woodley accepted, and when Jake Paul was asked why he did that he said it's because it was time to knock Woodley out and guess the underrated Jake Paul did exactly that with an emphatic right hand dummied to thrown at Woodley's ribs but went straight to his head knocking him out instantly, I think this is a good attachment on Jake Paul professional career. I see a trilogy happening soon.

I doubt there will be a third. Jake will just move on to a bigger and better opponent. I think the Fury fight needs to happen now. It's probably his best bet without taking on someone who is well out of his league and risk an easy KO on himself. I actually think the Fury fight is a pretty even-handed one and I'd like to see how Tommy deals with one of those blows. Jake actually seems to have some decent knock-out power as we all saw what he did to Askren.

OO wow woohoo! Looks like I won this round's yellow cap yay! LFC_Bitcoin I thought would get it but day before yesterday games went my way!

Wooden spoon for me  Cheesy

Burnley - Watford has just got postponed due to covid. I feel like this is biggest virus problem in England and consequently Premier League since that first lock down when whole league was on pause.

How bad is the situation in England actually? Is there realistic chance to stop the league? I hear Leicester is also hit hard and their games could get postponed as well.

Probably depends who you ask and what you define as bad. If you consult the media and government then it's potentially the zombie plague and you should stay inside under all circumstances as we're all going to die, possibly. Or if you turn off the news and carry on as normal everything will be ok and you probably wouldn't even notice anything, except you might end up catching a mild winter cold. Doesn't look to be many if any players coming down with symptoms just testing positive which isn't that surprising when they're probably testing every day or so. I'm sure they're fit enough to play but if you test positive even without symptoms they won't let you play. I'm sure more games will be called off  this month.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 15, 2021, 05:40:13 PM
Christ, Man City really gave Leeds an ass whooping didn’t they Cheesy
Hopefully Liverpool do something similar to Newcastle. I was supposed to be going to the game but had to give up my ticket.

Yeah, it wasn't pretty. City could have easy got over 10 goals. One was disallowed, couple hit the woodwork and another couple were millimetres wide. Lots of good goalward bound blocks from the Leeds defence as well.

Am hardly worried though. We just need to match City every step of the way, and nice to have Chelsea pushing us as well. December heat is seldom our problem... We top Christmas often enough. It is Afcon and January that keep haunting us season after season. IIRC our six loss streak last season set off around that time... Though that was really more of an assembly line of injury bad luck that started with VVD.
AFCON will be though for Liverpool, even if they were just loosing Salah it would be devastating since he is in the best form of his career but loosing him and Mane at the same time could place serious dent in the attack. Especially if Firmihno does not get back from injury.

Arsenal - West ham should have goals in it, right? My bet goes on both to score in that game + Crystal Palace to win against injury stricken Southampton.

Yeah, I can see that, though 0-0 wouldn't surprise me either. I've gone for 2-2 cos I can't pick a winner and put a quid on the both teams to score in each half with 2 cards and 2 corners each.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley 2 - December 18 on: December 14, 2021, 02:22:26 PM
At all bookmakers, Woodley is a favorite, but is such a short period of time enough to prepare him for the fight? Normally I would say it was a stupid decision, but I think Woodley was getting ready for the fight anyway, or he might have had suspicions long before that this was going to happen and was in the process of preparing. I can't see any other rational explanation.

I think I might back Woodley in this one. I think he's going to want to avenge his loss and try get the job done without it going to points. That huge 500k knockout bonus is a huge incentive as well so I think he might go all out trying to get that KO. I'm sure he'll capitalise if he stings Jake again rather than not going in for the kill. I kinda want Jake Paul to continue his winning streak though just to see how far he can go and what opponents are clamouring to fight him next. I really want to see him take on a big name opponent and I'm sure that will come if the can get through this fight and then the Tommy one which I'm sure will happen still.
476  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: December 14, 2021, 02:12:58 PM
There's been a lot of talk about the giant windshield wiper on the latest cybertruck prototype.  People were hoping for lasers to remove water from the windshield after a Tesla patent on the process was made public.  There is still hope though, as Elon made a couple of tweets addressing the subject for those who found the windshield wiper pictured in the last post to be abhorrent.

I still don't think Tesla is going to reinvent the windshield wiper with lasers, but you gotta give it to Elon to fuel the fire when he sees an opportunity.  I love that about him.

Couldn't they make it telescopic? I.e it's a third of the size or so but it can extend and retract when needed or not? It does look pretty unsightly right now.

There has been talk that the windshield wiper may utilize a different patent of Tesla's known as the Regen Wiper Blade.  One where the force of the wind pushes the wiper up and that energy is captured and used to help power the system.  Basically turns the windshield wiper into a wind turbine.  This seems a little far fetched to me, but no more than using lasers instead of a wiper.

That doesn't sound feasible or practical to me.

I'm not a Tesla fanboy or even fan and their other cars look average and overpriced to me, but I love everything about the Cybertruck and would certainly buy one if they accepted bitcoin again. My only fear is that they won't be street legal in the UK. They're going to have to scale it down even further to make it viable for UK's smaller/narrower roads.

After checking out my next fixture on my betslip I had for the later matches today:

Noticed the Manchester match has been postponed when looking for more news about it found this:
https://www.si.com/soccer/manchestercity/news/pep-guardiola-urges-manchester-city-players-to-be-careful-amid-rise-in-covid-19-cases

Do they have symptoms or just negative tests? I can't believe how overboard the government is going over omicron. Wildly reported as much milder symptoms, but just shut the entire country down and force vaccine passports and masks on everyone again along with more boosters that might not even work against it just in case. Looks like we're one step away from vaccine mandates right now and the gov threatening a vague 'plan C' on everyone.

@Betwrong @cygan: Leeds 19/1 to win, of course I bet on it. I've not predicted 100% with my bets in this season's pool though Wink

Leeds played pretty well last week and deserved a point but not sure City will be as easy. I could see a lot of goals though. Leeds still have a lot of players out including some of their best. They have a hell of a lot of players of yelllows as well which could effect their performance or we might see a lot of them getting subbed off to spare them from suspensions.

Can't believe Woodley is already prepared.

So he says. Not sure if I believe him unless he was told to keep trim for a potential replacement if anything happened to Tommy. Either way he probably doesn't care as it's still a huge pay day for him.

Despite me wanting to see Jake Paul actually fight a boxer, I'm more interested in this rematch than I am with the fight against Tommy. I don't really know why, I just couldn't see Tommy beating Jake. At least now, I think there's a slight chance. Especially, since Tyron shouldn't be too worried about getting rematch money or at least if he wins, it opens up the potential for a rematch. I just want to see the Woodley that lets his hands go instead of just freezing up when he has an opponent hurt.

Honestly, I thought Tommy would've fought with a broken rib, and a chest infection just to get the money, since its probably a lot of money riding on this fight. Probably the biggest payday of his career so I don't think he pulled out willing fully, probably was by doctors orders.

I don't know if I'd back Jake but I think it's a fairly rounded fight so he had a chance. I don't think Jake would KO him but I could see it going the distance and at least it gets Jake the credentials of fighting a proper boxer. It's definitely a fight I'm hoping gets rescheduled. There's so much on the line for Tommy that that alone makes it worth a watch.

The additional $500K bonus if Woodley knocks him out seems like the icing on the cake to make people know that Woodley has an incentive to try and win.  I'm not sure how many people care to watch this rematch though.  I know I don't.  If someone gets knocked out I'll happily watch the clip but we've already seen this spectacle.

I wonder if this will make a difference to Woodly. He could get reckless going all out for a KO.

Oh, the same result again right?

looking forward to seeing this kind of scenario, where when he has the chance to follow up some huge punches but he chose to remain calm because he might lose his payment if he throws another punch. Rig!
This isn't talked about enough, that's a knockdown. He's clearly being held up by the ropes, the annoying part is Woodley didn't capitalise on this after hurting Jake. Something which us MMA fans have gotten used to, and has earned his nickname "the frozen one".

I honestly think Tyron can put away Jake Paul in round one if he would just let his hands go. Unfortunately, I'm expecting this to go similar to how it did in the first fight. I just wish Tyron would open up a little more, and have a little bit of fun in there on the night. Jake clearly isn't that good, alright he's probably better than you would expect from a Youtuber coming into boxing, but he certainly isn't usual pro boxing standards.

He might do, especially with that 500k bonus. He knows what he needs to do in this fight and I think he has to try go for a knockout. Doubt he will outbox him so unless he wants to lose on points he's going to have to capitalise if he stuns Jake again. In Jake's defence though he recovered very well.

Don't worry. Jake Paul's reputation won't be changed even he will win continuously unless he will now fight a real professional boxer in their prime.
Without knowing what went on behind the scenes, and seeing evidence of Tommy's injuries we can't really assume this was a dodge. So, we can't really blame Jake Paul for Tommy pulling out. I wouldn't hold it against Jake in this case, I'm not a huge fan of Jake Paul, but he isn't the one to blame. Although, that doesn't mean Tommy is to blame either, accidents, and injuries happen there's no real way of avoiding them. Just unfortunate timing.

Tommy has posted evidence that has been independently checked by doctors to be legit, unless he faked it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxPrBKZKzUI

Tyson did say a week or two ago that he might have broken his rib (as well as his own): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aYZDLaf6Xo

It was probably from doing that stupid medicine ball exercise where he was just smashing it into his ribs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC94DFkJa3U

No idea what's that's good for other than some broken ribs.

You guys are terrific predictors. It's so hard to compete with you. Smiley

And it's not like I'm not trying. Quite the contrary. I analyze the historic results, the odds etc. ... and yet, 44th place in several rounds in a row. Well, we are not halfway yet, so, I'm not losing my hope. Smiley

Maybe you're overthinking it. Maybe don't put too much thought into it and just go with your gut instinct. I usually just check the last 5 results of each team which it gives you on Superbru so there's not much effort involved. The table is quite compact point wise so I wouldn't get disheartened as consistent results can quickly get you up the table.

I completely understand your pain  Sad it seems to me that the more I do the analysis, the poorer the results I have.

btw. do you think that your username betwrong has nothing to do with the accuracy of your bets?  Grin

Haha  Grin. Jinxed himself.

Tommy has fumbled it and pulled out of the fight. Jake will now be fighting Woodly in the rematch. He's even offered him an extra 500k if he can knock Jake out. Ballsy of Jake to offer such a bonus.

I know there was several allegations after the fight about terms being inserted into the contract to favour Jake, however to be honest the more I think about it the more likely this is MMA fans trying to save face.

That was complete BS spouted by Dillon Dannis. He's obviously pretty butthurt over not being the one fighting Jake.

I think what fed those allegations or rumours whatever you want to call them, is the fact that Woodley actually did knock down Jake, however it wasn't a clear knock down. Jake fell into the ropes, however as far as I know that should count as a knock down according to the boxing rules. He looked like the ropes stopped him from falling rather than just resting on them after a decent punch taken.

I guess you can debate whether it was a knock down but it was more of a stumble to me and he looked ok after it and bounced straight back.
