482  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Use Multiple Timeframes And Improve Your Trading Entries on: August 23, 2016, 03:15:39 PM
see multiple timeframes as the zoom of a camera.
for example, I want to observe this levels on BTCUSD, but the candels are getting to small to see what's going on on 15min:
so I switch to 30min:

your timeframe depends on which levels you want to observe
483  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has Blockchain Halving had any impact on the Bitcoin market? on: August 22, 2016, 05:01:01 PM
people first need to understand that the halving never had a fundamental effect, because the Bitcoin production is nearly inrelevant in terms of trading volume.
So the effect is/was purely expectation, a artificialy produced demand.
And this is the obvious explanation for the price rise as an effect BEFORE the actual halving. when everybody says in May: "Bitcoin will rise when it is halving", and everybody started saying that, it has an imidiate effect, because everybody who belives that will buy BEFORE it will happen.
IMO the rally that started end of May was mainly caused be that "Bitcoin will rise when it halves" hype.
484  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for local transactions on: August 14, 2016, 11:01:27 PM
I want to sell a bigger value localy.
I was thinking about in a bank, but I have one problem:
What if the person doesn't show up in the bank, waits for me to come out, and than kidnaps me on the street to steal my coins?

486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to Tether? on: August 14, 2016, 12:14:07 AM

not exactly bankrupt but price crash.
whats the point of a pegged crypto if it cant keep 1:1 with fiat?

Exactly. That would limit our options to hedge our Bitcoins against the dollar. So, until now there is no way to protect against crypto volatility (as far as I know) thus, it would be advised to proceed with caution. Thank goodness that Tether, is back to $0.99 (near the $1 mark) but still this is something that could change anytime. I just hope that a stable crypto will have solve these issues, probably backed by the government. Just my opinion.  Roll Eyes

price is like 0.9999, which is justified since it is not the "real dollar"; before I can "buy someting with it" there is work involved.

As soon as USDT-USD is back on Finex this should normalize

yep. done

Their https://wallet.tether.to/transparency page for sure is kind of a joke. I mean, what transparency is this? Everybody can put those numbers in a page. where are the documents to prove?
489  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading Forex with Bitcoin deposit/withdraw on: August 12, 2016, 06:12:06 PM
SimpleFx.com added BFXUSD and BFXBTC CFDS.
could be interesting.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to Tether? on: August 12, 2016, 03:13:26 PM
To my understanding Tether is the cryptocurrency created and backed by Bitfinex. If they become bankrupt and stop operating as an exchange what will happen to all the tethers in circulation?

Why would Tether become bankrupt if BitFinex goes bankrupt? They are just shareholders

you can always change Thether $s against real $s, so the price atm is not justified and should be arbitraged, The reason this is not happaning is because there seems a myth going round that if Finex bankrupts Tether will also. As soon as USDT-USD is back on Finex this should normalize

493  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The Official MCXNOW - REALSOLID SCAM Thread - Please add to this if u scammed. on: August 08, 2016, 06:45:07 PM
If this is a repeating pattern, every year or two, that doesn't speak highly of the trustability of the site or it's operator(s).

FYI, 2 years have passed.

rawx.io is the current mcxnow relaunch

people got the value of those mcx-shares back?
494  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to bypass exchange fees on: August 08, 2016, 12:42:01 PM
trade futures at Bitmex or Okcoin.com
495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Choose Best Bitcoin Forex Brokers on: August 08, 2016, 12:33:48 PM
These days I have tested the broker FXOpen, but I don't like the excessive fees that depositing or withdrawing money involves. But unfortunately I have not found many other options to trade with bitcoins in the Forex market, especially when we are looking for a reliable and experienced broker.

now they have a Bitcoin based ECN account
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: List of Major Bitcoin Heists, Thefts, Hacks, Scams, and Losses on: August 06, 2016, 01:37:26 AM
damn I think no other currency has so many sh*t going on in their world, this crypto is an infamous place to do business in.
What are you talking about? The amount of US Dollars or Euros stolen every year is a lot bigger than anything that's on this list.
Most of those thefts don't make that good of a news story however.

there have not been stolen 10% of all $ produced

When the governments responsible for hyperinflation engage in the hyperinflation, has purchasing power been stolen from those who were using that currency?  If you admit that it is, then you see that your claim about 10% is false.  If you think that it isn't, please explain what you mean by "stolen".

the $ never had hyperinflation. but this is a straw man argument anyways

That's what I'm asking for. There should be a website which counts the stolen coins. it could even track the coins in their wallets.

If I transfer coins from one address to another and then claim that those coins were stolen by someone else, is that a theft that you want included in the answer?

no, only "oficial" ones.
so, how much is it? guess it passed 10% allready

Sad that this list keeps growing & getting added to every year. I wonder what % of coins that have been mined have been stolen from their rightful owner(s).

That's what I'm asking for. There should be a website which counts the stolen coins. it could even track the coins in their wallets.
499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: List of Major Bitcoin Heists, Thefts, Hacks, Scams, and Losses on: August 05, 2016, 12:30:06 PM
This is a great list to maintain. I predict that we will see the number of heists increasing, but the size of the heists shrinking over time; simply a matter of decentralization. At least until adoption is totally saturated - at which point it can go either direction.

No more too big to fail.

no more too big to fail, but soon 50% of coins will be in the hand of criminals.
what is the count atm? 10%?
500  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Follow me trading :) on: August 05, 2016, 04:01:39 AM
one single order with 4 BTC ? why ?

i was just looking for a big drop and fast 5-10% on a bounce which didn't happen.

serious people would never offer their service to manage 0.5BTC, it redicilous and wasting a time, only scamers doing that. If you not take a share from deposit to DD I dont understand where is your profit. Anyway, you will never get my money, just forget about that. So long

Huh?

After Bitfinex hack im no longer sure that profits from trading are risk worthy because at any moment you can lose all our money if the hack happens. Thinking about puting ETH and Lisk into offline wallets and move trading to forex or something.

you can also trade some coins on some forex brokers
