This is biased...

There is no answer for "Girl Scouts of America"...

I demand a recount of the votes!
483  Economy / Economics / Re: Market Rate Essentially Flat Past 8 hrs on: February 27, 2014, 09:40:49 PM
Not entirely true. New money HAS to come in each and every day just to keep the price the same. Im not going to get into the math but you should get it.

Well, it has to be greater than the quantity being "cashed out", or being "actively traded"...

But same same...

The point was that the price is not what people want to pay. Obviously. But one they are willing to settle-for to cash-out. Thus the decline, and then the flat-line.

Hump is almost over, it will drop over the next few days, then rise again, once it hits $400

Trust in any exchange is slim right now. Since none of them actually have proof that they even have our funds (currency and BTC/LTC) in holding. (They are working on that proof now... all of them, I believe.)

For those where they do not, they will/should also be showing why they are short or "fractioned". (Eg, locked funds, lost funds, pending, internal expenses self-loan of our funds.)

Though, I am sure none of them will be able to do that, or justify the missing funds completely. They will/would use trick wording to hide the fact that they just spent the money you deposited, and/or BTC/LTC on other exchanges for funds, for themselves. (Just like banks do, without actually saying, "we spent/loaned your money".) Ironic part is... if they didn't, the banks they hold their funds in, have done it for them. That is what banks do. (Just hope they are using reliable banks to hold your funds, unlike cypress.)

Sure everything will be back to the illusion of normal in no time. Tongue

BTC to $100, here we come! Get ready to buy!
484  Economy / Economics / Re: Market Rate Essentially Flat Past 8 hrs on: February 27, 2014, 09:31:57 PM
Price stays still when no money comes in, and all money that was in, has been absorbed by trades.

Gotta have new money in, or someone with money sitting in there, has to be presented a price they are willing to pay.

Thus, price will drop if no-one convinces those people to pay more than the listed price.

Would you? Obviously not, if you are asking this question.

You want the price to move up... get off your ass and talk to people about how great of a deal these discount BTC are.

If you sit on your ass and just want to reap rewards... you will only end-up with a flat ass...

This is not a spectator sport. Stop watching it, and play.

The bitcoin wallet put a daemon on my computer, it is hiding in the same folder as the wallet... Should I delete the daemon?

LOL you need a good exorcist now!  Grin

Anyone here exorcise?
487  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Consumer protection/scams/ Bitcoin/reporter looking for sources on: February 27, 2014, 08:41:39 PM
We already have things in place for consumer protection, regulation, and scams. However, they are just not being used effectively, at the moment, in direct relation to BTC and other forms of crypt-currency.

Knowledge is power. Informing people of "what to demand", "what to expect", and "where to go", for use and resolution is better to talk about than adding more useless "unique" variations of the existing laws and protections that already exist.

However, aiding the singular location, that shares this knowledge, for BTC or any other crypto-coin variation, would be a big step forward. The bitcoin foundation should have done that also.

All of this should be done by the community. This is the communities coin, the communities dollar, the communities value, the communities bank. If the Govt's and States want to use it, then they need to make it a "legal form of tender". However, they will never control it. Nor should they be allowed to. It is not their property, unless they mined it themselves, or purchased it. (Then they can only regulate the coins they hold, as we regulate the coins we hold now.)

Just the fact that the Govt is cashing them in, makes it legal tender. They have tendered it, and they can not do anything illegal. Thus, it has been deemed by the supreme-court, as legal tender of some form, as they were given rights to "cash-out" the coins in possession through acquisition and seizure. Turning the BTC tender into asset-value or currency. (Otherwise, that would be the govt participating in laundering, and/or theft itself, if it was not legal tender of some form.)

Free Kevin Mitnick!

NVM, he is free already... Old news...

489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the most stupid comment you've heard about bitcoin? on: February 27, 2014, 08:13:54 PM
My SO has banned me from buying bitcoin. I watched bitcoin go down to $425 / BTC on coinbase briefly a couple days ago, but I was unable to take advantage of it. My SO has declared, "Bidcoin is just a ponzi scheme cooked up by nerds. If you buy any bidcoin, I will break up with you. I don't sleep with nerds."  Cry

But does she bang nerds... Who cares if she sleeps with them?

Dump her ass and get a real woman... Invest in BTC, get rich, and then invite her to the wedding with your new wife. Works every time...

Or stay single, masturbate more, and buy lots of toys... Like I do!
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's time to divorce ourselves the bitcoin foundation on: February 27, 2014, 08:09:17 PM
Yea, and churches take millions and give hundreds to soup-kitchens... so what...

Foundation fail... Friends helping friends and ad-space... that is all it is.

Being on the board, and paying yourself your own fees, is kind-of ass anyways... That is like a CEO voting to give himself a raise. (Like banks do, with our money.)
491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I lost €11k of my childrens investments - how naive had I been.....? on: February 27, 2014, 07:58:47 PM
Well, until Gox releases a statement... you are not going to get much sympathy.

If you lost money in the transfer, then you need to talk to the bank.

If you had an unauthorized transaction, and didn't tell Gox... that was your own damn fault.

If you have funds tied-up in Gox... You just have to wait, like the rest of us.

If you blew your earnings with poor judgement, why in the hell would we give you more to blow?

You do realize you are asking a bunch of non-rich forum members for hand-outs, right... Peers looking to make money, and invest... Not a church-group of rich people, operating a soup-kitchen, for the tax write-offs.

Yea, let me fork-over my devalued BTC so you can get more free money when it rockets on the next wave up.

Report this inappropriate thread to the mods... This has nothing to do with bitcoin discussion. Put it in the beggars/scams thread.
492  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Identity Of Satoshi Nakamoto REVEALED! on: February 27, 2014, 07:50:52 PM
If you think Satoshi is dumb enough to be had by transaction malleability due to insufficient coding of his exchange then I have a bridge to sell you.

I'll give you 185 GoxBTC for it! Tongue
493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the most stupid comment you've heard about bitcoin? on: February 27, 2014, 07:48:36 PM
"Most stupid comment" (that wasn't already mentioned)

"Bitcoins will not be worth a damn thing in the future. It's just like credit-cards and paypal..."

Yea, because those are doing horrible at the moment... and their limited supply is the root of their falling. (Sarcasm)
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Identity Of Satoshi Nakamoto REVEALED! on: February 27, 2014, 07:41:32 PM
Surely no place for racism on here.

Even against the Spartans.

I hate all races... Nascar, Marathons, Indy500, Triathlons...

497  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the creator of the bitcoin??? on: February 27, 2014, 07:19:42 PM
Some claim Mark Karpeles (owner of MtGox) is Satoshi based on this evidence:...

Hmm... Exploit in his own exchange... but built BTC himself... Not finding that possible...
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Identity Of Satoshi Nakamoto REVEALED! on: February 27, 2014, 07:16:05 PM
I am Satoshi Nakamoto... (IS A WHIM)

Now you can finally say, ISAWHIM (I SAW HIM)

500  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The one hurdle that will kill Bitcoin (and any other altcoin) on: February 27, 2014, 06:50:16 PM
government = irrelevant to BTC

they only control the money they had printed for us, on their grounds

BTC = electrons, represented as numbers... No govt controls electrons or numbers.

Government is a poor hurdle. Govts fall easy. War-toys or not... If no-one is willing to do what you say, your toys are useless. If you say, kill our people... What would you actually have left to govern, if that did happen... Nothing but a few timid people who couldn't afford to keep paying for your war-toys.

WE OWN THE GOVT. THE GOVT DOES NOT OWN US. (If you still believe that they own you, when they tell you to believe that they own you, you have failed as a human.)

The big scare is that banks own the govt toys, by loans and debt... and they are losing this war... (Have lost, they just don't realize it yet.)
