That confirms it; theymos apparently thinks it's funny to joke about a disease outbreak that (by my guesstimate) will probably directly kill at least a million people
If you choose to see-as-evil acts which were clearly done in the spirit of fun & good faith, then you're creating demons for your personal living hell... There is a rare worldwide shared cultural experience going on in the form of the pandemic and the resulting unprecedented social distancing policies. It's similar to a world war in terms of its widespread cultural significance. So this little game came to my mind to connect with it. As with several past bitcointalk.org April Fools things, it's more of a new/weird/fun way for people to interact with the forum and generate discussion, not a joke as such. Certainly it wasn't meant to somehow poke fun at the many real tragedies created by the coronavirus situation; it was meant to connect with the huge thing dominating the minds/lives of basically everyone on Earth. How come your not "infected" theymos

I'll be restarting the pool shortly with some updates, with the 4334 port to return as a highdiff port, set to 1 million. Downtime should be minimal. Additionally, as I'd been planning for a while with the halving, the fee will unfortunately be increased to 2%.
I don't think anyone can argue with 2% CK you deserve it for your efforts to all us mining degenerates. Now ROLL ON THE BLOCKS (preferably before the halving!)

Took one S3+ 1h 15m to submit a 1 Million share bit of a pain trying to monitor the miners now can't tell if they are down by looking at the hashrate on the pool anymore as it's fluctuating depending on share submissions now. Not able to use the pool stats now to monitor the hashrate's as they keep going to 0 until they submit a share which is a pain for keeping track of them when away from them. { "hashrate1m": "20.7G", "hashrate5m": "932G", "hashrate1hr": "1.02T", "hashrate1d": "755G", "hashrate7d": "843G", "lastshare": 1585594269, "workers": 2, "shares": 23712440129, "bestshare": 229508053.8100446, "bestever": 36824123071, "worker": [ { "workername": "", "hashrate1m": "0", "hashrate5m": "0", "hashrate1hr": "77.3M", "hashrate1d": "283G", "hashrate7d": "388G", "lastshare": 1585559889, "shares": 1880326927, "bestshare": 229508053.8100446, "bestever": 2336012756 }, { "workername": "", "hashrate1m": "20.7G", "hashrate5m": "932G", "hashrate1hr": "1.02T", "hashrate1d": "472G", "hashrate7d": "458G", "lastshare": 1585594269, "shares": 19581629978, "bestshare": 81953418.32696119, "bestever": 36824123071 } ] }

I would be wary of running the V9 at 5th you might find the boards get too hot so keep your eyes on the temps
V9's should be in the range
Chips 30 - 70 MAX PCB max. 80

Checked my hashrate on the pool stats and noticed hat they both seem to have failed to submit any shares for some time and both my miners seems to be showing diff 1,000,000 now. Noticed your post ck my miners don't seem to be able to submit a share at 1M zone been 5 hr since last share was submitted to the pool. LSTime 5h 30m 42s ago

What might help if you give some info on your project a outline of what your planning and what type of developer's you looking for. We see lot's of post's like this with limited info in them and they get ignored as there is no info about what your looking for or what the project plans are.
I would update your post with more info if your seriously looking for developers.
Good luck

Once the network has had it's re-target it should fall back to the 10m or so blocktimes just with the loss of a fair amount of hashrate has been the main issue here. Come one blocky where areeeee yhooooo..

~snipped~ Tried this week's bonus link but not available for me. Maybe my bonus will be in next. Anyway thanks a lot guys (@OmegaStarScream,@rdbase) for giving me some helpful information.
Yeah, not a problem. Glad to have helped you out. There was just a winner on keno of a small bet for a rather large amount. Having considered it being less than $10 for a $7000, I will say it was a good exchange wouldnt you? Keno: 18914043096Now that's what I call a WIN!

With the hashrate on the network dropping like a stone and the price hovering around where a lot of gear becomes unprofitable for the large miners we should see some nice Diff drops soon. Let's hope this put's bitcoin back in the hands of the small rather pushing us out. Come on block where are youuuuu!!!!
|
|
|
I know we are in a diff topic here but the drop in hashrate seems to be confirming what I was thinking about the current economic situation that's playing out around the world and the effects this could play on bitcoin and mining with the drop coming quickly I feel we will see more of the larger farms switch off there miners I know we now have the price back up to a higher level but this could also be a fake out to get a higher price for some of the coins that we know are locked up in china be that pools or exchanges or by the large scale miners. If we see hyper inflation in the money system I fear we will see many of the exchanges and other liquidity providers to the market leave and fast this could in turn cause the market to react badly. While the small miners may have a comeback to keep things going I think we could see the good old days of P2P trading come back into play here but we could lose a lot of retail trading which in turn would cause the price to sink back. I also think for quite some time bitcoin has been very very over priced in the market and us who have been around over the years should have secured some liquidity to keep us going. What are your thoughts on the downturn in hashrate and do you think China could play a massive roll in the downturn of bitcoin in general now. Magic
