481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Need Community Manager on: November 18, 2021, 05:14:45 PM
It would be better if you had shared what are you paying with? Is it bitcoin or any other coin? Possible that moderator/community manager will get paid through project token only. If paying with BTC, you can PM me as well.
482  Other / Archival / Re: Beginners & Help Encyclopedia [UPD: +Categories] on: November 18, 2021, 05:07:48 PM
and this encyclopedia is still based on all the useful topics that are open in the Beginners & Help section
That makes sense. I haven’t noticed that TBH. Thank you for the heads up. If you include other board as well for being listed in your encyclopedia, I guess that would be good. Though article on LN in Help & Beginner is quite good, the one by Rath_ is the best one with no doubt.
483  Other / Archival / Re: [DISCUSSION] Beginners & Help Encyclopedia on: November 18, 2021, 05:02:59 PM
IIRC, theymos was looking for recommendations for a welcome message to the newbie. I guess your encyclopedia would be the best to link up to them as this seems very much informative, organized perfectly. As you said, theymos appreciated the thread, I guess he will link up the thread for newcomers.

Did you miss the greatest thread on Lightning Network by BitCryptex aka Rath_? I'm referring to the Lightning Network FAQ thread- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5158920.0
I was looking for threads on Lightning Network but couldn’t find this one.
Nevertheless, it's highly appreciable that you are trying to organize all these threads. It can be useful for newbies.

Extremely sorry for the late. I was too busy IRL to have a visit here; in fact, I forgot about it at all. Hope you didn’t mind. Would be faster if I got a PM reminder from anyone.
Congratulations everyone. It was a nice pool though kpk didn’t leave any chance for anyone to compete till the last match.

486  Other / Meta / Re: I Need Member Support : DT-1 or DT-2 on: November 17, 2021, 04:21:28 PM
Are you kidding? They both are representing the same casino & the texts are pre-generated most of the times. It can never be considered as plagiarism IMO. Besides, there's a thread for reporting plagiarism. Here you go- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.0

Just curious- what can DT member do here? If someone plagiarize, forum mods/admin will ban them. DT member don't have anything to do here.
487  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: About Unsolicited Message... on: November 17, 2021, 04:11:39 PM
. Have you heard of it so far?
There's an account with the same nick but he seems to be a bounty hunter- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1511185
Also there are few post on this website by Coolersid- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5301048.msg57158413#msg57158413
Try forum search, you may find some more result. I didn’t try to check out what the site all about.
488  Economy / Reputation / Re: Alt in the Crosswise Finance Campaign on: November 16, 2021, 05:44:14 PM
You have presented no proof to conclude these are alt accounts. All I can see is some connection through the merit shared which can never be valid proof as anyone can throw away some merits to anyone for some worst post even. You must share some more proofs which can point out some good connections that prove they are alt accounts.
489  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam alert!! Binance on: November 16, 2021, 05:32:19 PM
16.384 bnb hard cap per user

That's the maximum allocation a user can get of; doesn't necessarily mean you will get 16.384 BNB allocation if you hold 16.384 BNB. There are people with thousands of BNB, their allocation must be higher than you. That's how Binance designed the launchpad. The more BNB you hold, the more allocation you get.

Now I still have no idea what this is about, but it sounds like Binance is using their own centrally controlled made-up coin to hype another made-up token. Why did people "commit" 5 billion dollars (in Binance's centralized coin) to this?
It's Binance Launchpad aka ICO. FC Porto has launched their ICO through Binance Launchpad; anyone can participate with holding BNB but holding 1 or 2 BNB for a week will only get you 5/6 PORTO coins.

Quote
I see a hype that reminds me of the peak of the ICO, but I'm not sure what you're getting at. Can you start by not using a "dot" for thousands and for decimals? It's quite confusing to read now.
OP doesn't know how it works. As I said above, the maximum investment an individual can do is 16.384 BNB regardless of how much (I mean high) BNB they hold. If I'm correct, there's an explanation of who got how much.
490  Other / Meta / Re: People should be aware on: November 16, 2021, 05:02:20 PM
though I doubt the mods with privileges to access it would bother to do so.
Only admin can probably see the message if they want to while Global mod or any other mod will only be able to see a message which has been reported. I have bolded the word "Reported". Reported messages can only be seen by respective moderators. I doubt any admin would interfere with anyone's private message as they barely have anything to do with them.
Either way, anyone sending sensitive data should be concerned that bitcointalk account can be hacked & your private information can be leaked as well.

No, we can't directly read PMs, just ones that are reported directly to us.
491  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be safe from scammers on: November 15, 2021, 05:12:33 PM
1. DON'T TRUST ANYONE
Don't trust anyone, verify instead. That's the only way to be safe from scammers. If there's huge money involved, it would definitely be better to pick an escrow and deal through. Make sure that the escrow is trusted & has dealt with a bigger amount.
OP, there are a lot of threads created on this particular topic I Guess. You would rather searched before started writing this.
492  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Platform just for crypto videos.. like youtube or OTT's on: November 13, 2021, 06:42:49 PM
https://dlive.tv/
https://d.tube/

These two so far seem to have a brand for cryptocurrency, its just not sure whether there are lots of us there.
There are no rules that you have to upload cryptocurrency-related videos only. You can see crypto-related videos only because these platforms are dominated/promoted/used by crypto YouTubers only just to make some extra money & the team of the platform has mostly promoted them in the crypto community. Apart from that if I'm correct, the payment on these platforms are with cryptocurrency (their native token) as well which is another reason why videos on these platforms are crypto-focused only.
493  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trading on Binance Without KYC via Safepal? on: November 13, 2021, 06:36:55 PM
You can do this on both.

On safepal
You can swap, use the exchange service though I'm not sure how exactly this happens; haven't checked out this feature yet. It exactly seems like Binance but I'm not sure if it requires a Binance account or not. I can update this later on.

On Trustwallet
You can have swap service & DEX with BNB pair mostly, probably based on Binance chain. I have to check out that as it has been quite a long time when I last saw that.
494  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Binanace Stuck My withdrawal on: November 13, 2021, 06:22:44 PM
I have contacted with them and they told me that dogecoin had withdrawn from my account.
I haven't read about this in detail but I have seen such a piece of news on another platform. Did you try to contact them through their telegram support? They respond faster the
there & I guess you would have gotten a reply and solution. It should be a bug but should have fixed it by now. I can't see any problem so far with my account.

I owe about 80k dollars according to current rate.
That's hell lot of money. Why would you owe that in the first place LOL?
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {T-20 World Cup Prediction Pool} 0.00035 BTC Entry Fee ( Participants only) on: November 13, 2021, 05:59:26 PM
Also, you won the last prediction pool and ended up in the top 3 in this pool which implies that you are really good at predicting Cricket match results.
That's only because I'm getting favored by luck. I'm really not good at predicting scores. If you have ever engaged in discussion in the soccer threads, you must have known that how worst I'm LOL. As I said above, I have lost all the matches I placed a bet in two days. That's because my luck didn't favor me LOL because most of the matches I lost because I have picked the sure bet. Nevertheless. it seems I'm getting better in cricket prediction. Maybe I will start my cricket betting prediction services LOL.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Marketplace with augmented reality and the possibility of payment cryptocurrency on: November 12, 2021, 05:30:03 PM
Move the thread in somewhere else, maybe Service Discussion?
Maybe we should add own token, but then how best to adjust the price on it?
Why would you adjust the price? If you release the token, the market will adjust the price of the token. If your token has great usage which I doubt, it will have a lot of value while without any use-case other than the above mentioned, I don't think you will get a lot of attention. I would recommend you to allow BTC instead. That would be more convenient & people would likely be interested in using through BTC.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: {T-20 World Cup Prediction Pool} 0.00035 BTC Entry Fee ( Participants only) on: November 12, 2021, 05:25:05 PM
Also, I am on a 17 match winning streak currently(One of my best winning streaks in the gambling world so far). Regret not building an accumulator. Still feels amazing though.
I have as well, such a streak but quite the opposite of yours. I have 11 losing streaks IIRC. It turns out every team I'm picking was losing; no matter who the team is though it was soccer matches. Why don't you start a prediction service for cricket? You could have gotten a lot of clients LOL.
It's sad that this time I couldn't even compete with you in the final. You are the winner before the final match. There's no way to get 6 points from a match, is there LOL.
498  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet for storing Bitcoin on: November 12, 2021, 05:22:49 PM
Never tried Safepal and haven't done research; but even if it was secure, I don't think it's still a great idea to bring your cold wallet with you everywhere if you actually spend your bitcoin when you're out and about.
Maybe you are right but it requires both devices; the wallet & a safepal software app to make transactions along with the 6 digit pin. I'm not sure how much risk is it but I'm carrying my safepal all the time; probably because I have a small balance in this wallet. Well, having a wallet for regular transactions, I guess Safepal is quite secure enough. I'm personally using it & I really liked the wallet a lot.
499  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bc game closed my account with 115+ referrals without giving any warning on: November 12, 2021, 05:12:40 PM
As further as I know PTC ads campaign users who click on the ads for getting payment for clicking ads. And this type of user usually do not being convert into real user. As within a short time you have got a lots registers by your referral link I think they thought there is something wrong happened and as a result they closed your account. No business owner/admin want to face any trouble.
There's something called get paid to sign up, probably, I guess if my memory serves me well. It's easy to get the referral from there. Besides, you can also pay a certain payment for fulfilling some requirements which can be the requirements of getting the bonus for the referrer. Nevertheless, I don't think it should be prohibited either; there are a lot of users doing that. Even some casino sites themselves have such offers with paywalls etc.

So can @theymos sue Facebook for violating the right on the name of our sub-forum. This is Meta right here.
It's not only our sub-forum, I guess. Apart from that, the word itself refers-

(of a creative work) referring to itself or to the conventions of its genre; self-referential.
I don't think theymos has any right here to sue facebook. It's not a brand, nor something related to. By the way, I won't be surprised if you are trying to troll facebook, maybe? LOL. Otherwise, I don't see a reason why this thread has been created.
