One would hope there would be more information provided to the community before sending out the "escrow" instructions to proceed with payment and locking down order positions... if they push the 7 day rule of pay or lose spot in line, I would imagine the actual order book will thin out...

wasn't there supposed to be some big update about the next series of blades coming out on 18 Aug?

We've posted a new update on our blog:

-John

So - this is an excuse to bump every fucking hashfast thread ? as I see you are hitting each one with this shit..

you guys are fucking annoying..

(ps - don't forget the 10 warranty gaff thread... lol)
485  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HASHFAST warranty just TEN DAYS after delivery? on: August 20, 2013, 07:24:06 PM
I'm sure the company sock puppet will be bumping the 92587495 hashfast threads sometime soon and may offer some very valuable consumer insight on this gaff.... ha
486  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Which USB hub to use with Block Erupters or K1? A List. on: August 20, 2013, 06:22:12 PM
Raspberry PI resources
...Additionally, there seems to be a limit of 49 BEs that one Pi can control at once.

Any idea what this limit is caused by?  If possible I'd like to have one unit controlling everything and if the limit is due to processing power I could opt for a cubieboard 2 or another open aio.

I've noticed my utility rate is significantly higher when I run my BEs off one of my WIN7 rigs that is mining LTC at the moment.. I think the RPi is a cool piece of gear, but no matter what I tweak on it, doesn't seem to be "even" or better than my W7 setup.  (45 BEs at the moment awaiting a couple more hubs)

The thing to remember with the Pi is the low power consumption. If mutiple Pi's use less power than one PC, that may be the way to go.

Oh, concur.. and will perhaps look into it further in the future... but at this time I can piggy back off an already up and running LTC rig and draw no additional power since the hubs are powered..

It should.. yes..

I have a random catch all rig that has 6870x1, 5850x1, 7870x1 and a 6950x1

The 6950 was also temporarily with 3x7950s at one point until I broke it out more..

Honestly -  who is going to expect any replies of a negative nature from a "paid sponsor/endorser"  ??

No rational person would expect anything of the sort, excepting softball fluff.

Are the expenses for this trip being paid for out of the monies paid by Hashfast, or are they paid by Hashfast directly?

Remember, he doesn't get paid unless they are successful. The reason you see 15 HashFast threads getting bumped daily by 1 line sentences from this guy. While not very bright he makes up in persistance.

Edit: Looks like I bumped the thread, do I get something for my trouble?

Yeah - wish the mods would re-enforce the one thread for the same shit rule again like they did with the 488382 BFL threads last year..  (and a good clean up merge would be nice)...  I'm sure money is lost when this thread gets bumped to the 2nd page... oh noes!... stupid.

Why the flipping fuck does every vendor pre-announcement/annoucement need its own thread off of it's core thread?Huh??

493  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] xCrowd*US/UK*TH/s+ Units on: August 19, 2013, 07:03:19 PM
Well to be fair to them - they haven't made an entire new thread commenting on the upcoming news release yet like some of the other toolbags..

So until that is done.. I wouldn't expect much..

AMU1: TIMEOUT GetResults took 1711ms but was 100ms

I am also seeing these kinds of messages too...
The occasional timeout like this is okay, it's a kind of USB communication error.

Rgr that - it appears lowering my diff on btcguild 2 from 4 made them go away and also report a faster MH back to the dashboard... (have 31 BEs connected.. )

Appreciate the reply!

Why is there another thread for this?  Wasn't the announcement thread last week sufficient as it included the links and info?
498  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: August 15, 2013, 04:31:55 AM
Hooked up 100 USB miners, using 2 raspberry PI.

In my testing each raspberry can only handle about 45 miners, after that the additional miners just don't get detected.  However after you get into the 35+ range you start to get a much higher rate of HW errors.

So I had to split the miners 34 per raspberry and 32 on my desktop, got another raspberry in the mail, so will run 3 total to handle all 100 miners.

Currently cooled with just a standard room fan, but the rig really doesn't run that hot so I think I'll replace that fan with a small USB fan for each hub.

Almost a grand for the hubs ya madman , Excellent rig.

US $559.04 for 6

Yeah that's where I ordered them, I figured it would be better than trying to mess around with smaller ones.

At least after my USBs are no longer profitable...I'll be able to charge all of my 120 cellphones at once

That's good info for the NSA  ^  Tongue
