How do I KNOW a Snapshot was taken?
I have the 10.5 PTS in my new Wallet since early March 1st.
But nothing telling me a snapshot was taken. I want to sell my PTS before they're worthless.
Also, where can I sell my PTS?
When I was watching snapshot-related the video, I remember that it's better to wait few days till 3-4 march if I'm not mistaken, to make 100% sure that your coins were taken into snapshot. Also, why sell PTS now, when panic sellers dropped the price? There are plenty (99/99%)) of other coins that are not backed by DAC shares, so why PTS should have lower value, then ordinary bitcoin/litecoin clones? Keep in mind, that they are shares in future DACs as well... I believe the price will go up, when we'll hear good news about Invictus projects, when BTS will go to the market etc etc |

Interesting coin. When approx it is going to be PoS only by the way?
CGB will remain a PoW/PoS hybrid. The PoW subsidy will halve until the baseline of .01 CGB per block is reached where it will remain. This will keep holders earning interest while at the same time further securing the block chain via PoW mining and PoS stake mining. An attack on a PoW/PoS hybrid would have to consist of not only control of greater than 50% of hashing power (as with most other coins) but also would require ownership of greater than 50% of the staked coins. The PoS addition essentially means that any potential attacker would have to be a majority owner of CGB as well as the majority miner and thereby the attack would predominantly be against themselves. I feel that the PoS needs to be higher. The supposed mirroring of monetary inflation is irrelevant at this stage. 10% pa, with 7 days qualification cycle would give sufficient incentive. Any opinions ? I find 10% PoS reward a little too high; but I agree with you that 1.5% is much too low, given the current high level of risk, to interest large investors. The good news with CGB that it wouldnt take many interested parties to make the coin move upwards, but if we want the outcome to change something needs to be done. IMO the best way is to make PoS reward same as NXT has it. Reward is not calculated per anum there, but every transaction's fee is going to the "miner", so there is no inflation, and with growinf of the network, it can be much more then 10% yearly, without negative effects of inflation. |

Boy are you guys getting it wrong or what!!!! Economy is not this coin's forte. This .01 baseline will eliminate all incentive to mine the coin. Very High Brow and High Roller as we sink further down closer to zero; .01 baseline has to be raised or this coin will disappear, period. What does it matter? The PoW network could drop to zero but PoS will keep the blockchain chugging along. Thanks for clarifications everybody, but I am not sure then, who will mine for reward 0.01 per block? So this will be same as pure PoS in my opinion. So let's rephrase my question - can I see somewhere the timeline? When the reward will be 0.01, 0.1 etc? |

Probably. It's irrational cause if I remember correctly MMC has nothing to do with BTS, but seems like their prices are affecting each other |

Mintcoin crashed to half it's value today. Mazacoin went up 500% today, then crashed down to half of that and is still falling. Anyone investing this morning has a smile tonight I'm sure. Aurora does indeed look promising, but it's very hard to say whether it's rise will last.
Darkcoin seems to be great investment at the moment, the Darksend is already alpha testing and will be released to public this weekend as far as I know, so the price will skyrocket. Also, unlike most of other coins, this one has something special, not only hype - there allways will be demand for anonymous transactions. I'm waiting for Darkcoin to fall again, should have bought right before it doubled. What do you think of Tekcoin? this one? Never vheard before, and seems that there is no topic on forum. What's so special about it? |

Вижу уже впрочем выход в том, что вывести с биржи аккурат в тот момент, когда баланс текущий кошелька перейдёт в Stake, тогда по идее будет стабильно какая-то часть монет свободна для спекуляций.
можно зашифровать кошелек и разрешать ему майнить только когда прекращаешь трейдить... поспать там и т.п. кстати в кошельке можно делать выбор между инпутами для выбора между старыми и новыми монетами Ага, спасибо, вариант тоже. Но всё же я так и не понял, для чего монеты то после получения награды морозятся? Какой смысл в этом, не очень понимаю |

Interesting analysis, thanks for some new thoughts! While investing in most altcoins is like a gamble, and you are right that bitcoins should be the main part of the portfolio, I will suggest also to take a closer look into next generation of coins - NXT, new protocols over bitcoin like MSC and XCP, and few coming projects.
And by the way, what do you think about Darkcoin?

Mintcoin is still overpriced I believe, Blackcoin seems to be more promising because the mining is almost over, and they have waaaaaaaaaaaaay less coins, so I purchased it instead and waiting when it will hit bigger exchanges and PoW phase will be over. When I checked Maza price in the morning, that was a huge facepalm))) I've already installed wallet few days ago, and was considering to buy some yesterday, but did not want to mess with this awfull website... Damn, but if I knew the reward))) Aurora will be down soon IMO, the market cap is a joke - in fact nobody purchased 50% premine and there are not so much coins in circulation yet, so real market cap of let's say Dogecoin seems to be much much more. Also, seems that most buyers suppose that this coin was endorsed by Iceland government, that is very far from truth. This coin can be a hit, but due to all this misunderstandings, the risks are huge as well Darkcoin seems to be great investment at the moment, the Darksend is already alpha testing and will be released to public this weekend as far as I know, so the price will skyrocket. Also, unlike most of other coins, this one has something special, not only hype - there allways will be demand for anonymous transactions. Huntercoin seems to be another hit, it's almost listed at Cryptsy, deposits page exists but is hidden yet. Improved client is coming, and the idea of combining multiplayer game with coin is fantastic, so I believe HUC has a bright future. Also, NXT price was dropped a bit, so I purchased more of it. Assets Exchange is almost ready, and I believe that price will grow dramatically soon. Just look at those buy walls! |
