Thick-Skinned Gang Leader

You are welcome.
In just 6 years you have reached the second merit list. You are not a moderator or an admin in the forum. However, the second merit position is yours. Your research and help is really inspiring. Going to the top leaving theymos behind. That's my idea. Maybe wait a little longer.

As it is often said, flattery won't get you anywhere.

The OP has recently created a lot of topics in the hope that his "noble ideas" will be showered merits.

I have read the thread and I find OP quite ridiculous. He reminds me of those beginners or junion members creating a thread to praise the merit system, it is clear that they do it to see if they catch some merit.

4982  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Globalists flee to private islands, underground bunkers, as they unleash... on: August 04, 2021, 06:26:39 AM
He can't even grasp how counting works.

That is a very bad example. You can criticize a lot of things about Trump, but of counting and math he knows a lot. It's a no-brainer. Pick something else to criticize him about, come on. You have plenty to choose from.
4983  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden devolved on: August 04, 2021, 06:23:00 AM
Do you mean soon? Nah.

Another thing is that, depending on the things that happen, the legislature may not run out and elections may be called a little earlier, but neither Biden nor anyone in the Democratic Party is in a hurry to do so.

Your post strikes me as more wishful thinking than anything else.

I'm going to put a channel that I haven't seen on the list and I think it's different from all the ones you've put here.

Trader University

It provides in-depth analysis and detailed explanations. Basically of two types: 1) about Bitcoin, its nature and current news 2) about shitcoins, to explain in detail why they are garbage. I've never seem him or other person holding his chin in his videos.

He also has some video on stock market and the like but focuses quite a bit on Bitcoin.
4985  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Globalists flee to private islands, underground bunkers, as they unleash... on: August 04, 2021, 06:09:26 AM
Seems a fair bet that a lot of the ones that did 'get the jab' worked out a deal with their comrades to get a mock jab and doctor the paperwork.  They've been doing it for their kids on the 'schedule' for some time so I've heard.

Secondly, there is zero reason to believe that one jab is the same as the next no matter what is written on the vial.  It's an assumption that is not even backed up by a claim from the maker, and they don't supply an open and complete list of ingredients nor is there yet a standardization process to provide oversight.  Trade secrets.

Great arguments and sources to back them up, "seems" "I've heard". I like reading your fantasy posts, the only thing I still think they would look better if you put some aliens in the argument.
4986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you rather buy for the long term right now...BTC or ETH? on: August 04, 2021, 05:57:10 AM
BTC

I don't buy Ethereum because of ideology. It's a centralized shitcoin, huge premine, Vitalik's ethics are questionable, much of it runs on Infura, so when it goes down Ethereum doesn't work. Unlike Bitcoin, Ethereum's blockchain can be reversed, as it happened in 2016.

Also Ethereum Developer Vitalik Buterin Sold 25% Of His Coins

Compare that to Satoshi.

Ethereum is a shitcoin with quite a bit of strength that looks like it can deliver good returns just like some other shitcoins will but I prefer to focus on supporting a decentralized, autonomous, irreversible system that is limited in nature (deflationary).

If anyone has been keeping up with the recent FUD it seems like there could be a big one coming out of the USA with some new kind of bullshit legislation.

https://twitter.com/jerrybrito/status/1422002228102107142

If it does go through as is, does anyone here think this will be an actual problem? I'm not a miner nor US based atm so don't know how much it affect the people who are.

Yes, Bitcoin will crash and burn and will never recover. Sell your bitcoins while you still can.

/In before Proudon

What I'm trying to understand is this something that may encourage miners to go elsewhere, or is it just a matter of more paperwork, or is it just nothingburger and won't be enforced.

You can pry my coins from my cold dead hands, and even then you won't get them.

I've just realised that there is an interesting debate about this in the following thread:

Devastating "Infrastructure" bill in US - contact your representatives
4988  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Globalists flee to private islands, underground bunkers, as they unleash... on: August 03, 2021, 03:56:56 PM
I don't even know why I'm wasting my time answering you. Well, yes, not so much to convince you as to convince someone with a brain who reads the thread and has a brain.

Do you really believe that this COVID thing is a global conspiracy to wipe out most of humanity with vaccines? Health professionals were the first to be vaccinated. Some may not be specialists in the field and may not care much about what they jabbed themselves with. But there are many others who know what they are taking. If this were a global conspiracy to commit genocide it could not be hidden. Most health care workers have been vaccinated. And of politicians, even Republican politicians, who might be the most reluctant and least likely to believe the official version.

The only thing you do is not stop making a fool of yourself.

But you seem to enjoy it. Good for you.

I have been learning about the bill and I hope it doesn't pass like this, because the miners are going to have to leave.  They are going to have to issue 1099s to every supposed "customer"? WTF? Collecting data for KYC on every transaction they verify is impossible. That's just proposed by idiots who have no idea what this is all about. And it goes for the nodes too?

I hope this is not the case and all the countries in the world start copying it.

I guess it has to do with the recent dip. Yes, Bitcoin will survive but if there is another exodus of miners we will have more months like these last few.

Waiting to see what philipma1957 has to say.
4990  Economy / Economics / Re: Miami will launch its own cryptocurrency and reward users with bitcoin on: August 03, 2021, 11:06:35 AM
I really don't see the need of a city coin, but one of the smartest people I know and listen to, Balaji Srinivasan, has had the idea of city coins/tokens that he has pitched in some podcasts; so I really have mixed feelings on this. I'm just going to say that it's going to be a really interesting experiment.

The problem I see with that, is that as cryptocurrencies become massively adopted, each city/town/state/business etc. will bring out its own currency.

Although none of them will be able to beat Bitcoin, which will be the supreme store of value.

This is something we could experience countless times when someone praised Bitcoin so much, that in the end, the whole thing turned into a project that would make its own coin. The following statement by the Mayor of Miami perhaps best illustrates this, in my opinion, absurd situation.

Quote
It’s like a Bitcoin and it's on the blockchain protocol, so whenever that coin is mined, a percentage of the coin by virtue of the programing goes to the City of Miami,” he said.

I don't know, maybe this idea makes some sense for some people, because obviously the main goal is to make millions of $ (so at least they claim in the article), and we all know that this is the ultimate goal of all those who make a token/coin. Will this be just another one of thousands of useless coins in the crypto market?

They would be better off buying Bitcoin and cut the bullshit.

I do not doubt that there are people who raise the Great Reset.  Klaus Schwab would be one of them. What I see is that if that model of society ends up being imposed it is because the majority agrees, I don't think you can force that change on billions of people.

I think on the contrary, the current world is a process in which the proletariat redistributes the world's elites.

You have not realized that we are in the 21st century, and not in the 19th century. I am informing you so that you know.

Through Bitcoin, we can do this. Through Bitcoin, those elites can no longer carry out unlimited money printing to squeeze our property.

While I generally agree that Bitcoin is going to be a transfer of wealth, this is far from what you intend to paint. There is not going to be an equal redistribution of wealth with Bitcoin.

What there has been over time since Bitcoin was created and continues to be, is the opportunity for individuals to enrich themselves. Simply by buying and looting. But large companies are already buying Bitcoin and wealthy individuals as well. It poses a challenge to the printer, that's for sure. But those who are very rich thanks to the printer can also buy a lot of Bitcoin and remain very rich in the future.

I guess your 2nd dose already impaired your mental capabilities, it's HOLLOVAXX (not the 2nd hollocaust).

Let me ask you mr smart ass, when would you have started to called it the 1st hollocaust at the time, at the first ghettos? kristal night? the publishing of the book? at the election following the false flag on the Reichstag? at the Liberation of Dachau? I ask...  mr smart ass... you see? you iq is lower than mine, but your poker hand may still be better, and your way to play even more moronic.

ps this forum has really a way too low iq, third worlder invasion? nahhh that's "rrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyycist", reality, unable to think morons farming sig not wasting time,... in needs of sats.

LOL.

Your post shows the psychological phenomenon of inverted reality: you accuse others of characteristics that you have.

You have created a shitty thread, which has not aroused interest because it is garbage, due to your poor intellectual capacity. Since no one has responded other than me, and I have done so to refute what you say, instead of providing rational arguments all you do is insult and blah blah blah.

LMAO
4993  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you feel happy on getting merits ? on: August 03, 2021, 07:50:02 AM
It’s tough to get merits these days. It seems most merit is handed out in meta for really high quality posts or the wall observer which is like a gang of friends, full of camaraderie. I don’t post very often in either of those areas so I don’t get much merit.

I don't know how you can talk like that:

Merit summary for DeathAngel

This happiness continues one step further when you keep on accumulating merits and then one day you find yourself that you are ranked up.

I just got this sweet feeling yesterday  Wink

In my case, what made me happy recently was that I have been able to earn more merits than my activity. Until now I had always had less merit than activity and recently I have surpassed it. As for seeing that someone has given me a merit, it makes me happy, but as I get used to it you I don't feel so enthusiastic, as before, as The Pharmacist commented.
4994  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How are infectious viruses produced? on: August 03, 2021, 06:13:13 AM
From a medical point of view, how did the virus come into being?
Not enough vaccinations/quarantines to eliminate the virus before it had a chance to evolve into a more dangerous form.

Not really.

We can't say 100% but we can say with a very high probability that it came into being because some scientists in the laboratory of Wuhan Institute of Technology played God.

The Institute was partially funded by Fauci:

Dr. Anthony Fauci Tells CNN Funding China’s Wuhan Lab Research Was Necessary

This was a right-wing nut conspiracy theory until Fauci emails were leaked.

This fact was denied in the last year especially by scientists like Fauci who have a conflict of interest. It got to the point that opinions saying this, i.e. what is revealed to be in all likelihood the truth, have been censored from social media this year.

4995  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: August 03, 2021, 05:57:29 AM
I am not even saying anything about your level of intelligence ONLY because I still remain concerned about the self-fulfilling prophecy idea...

Forget about it. It's just an idea that was on my mind. I'll also forget about it.

Oh maybe I cannot recall your backstory... have you been investing in bitcoin before you came to the forum, or did you just start to get involved in bitcoin in 2020?  Maybe you are Michael Saylor.. ?  Oh shit... Hi Michael.. did not mean to say mean things about you...

You cannot recall because I haven't told you. I started making small BTC purchases around July 2017.

I had already been investing in funds and stocks for a few years. At that time I took it as a high risk high potential rewards investment. Like investing in a start-up company. Back in February 2018 if I remember correctly, after the dip, I stopped buying. I didn't know much about the fundamentals or anything. It was a kind of gamble.

From then on I forgot about Bitcoin, while we were in bear market I didn't pay attention, but kept holding.

Last year, with the last halving I started to think that we would surely break $20K again and go higher. I registered on the forum and started learning more about Bitcoin

Anyway, I started buying Bitcoin regularly again, but still allocated money to other investments, mainly an S&P 500 fund and some shares.

But I have recently decided to go all in with Bitcoin. All the money I can save in a month I put into buying Bitcoin. I don't invest in anything else anymore.

Nor have I gone crazy and sold my other assets or borrow against my equity as Saylor recommends to invest in Bitcoin.

I think with this step of investing all available liquidity in Bitcoin for the next few years and the appreciation, in the next few years BTC is going to be a very important part of my net worth.

I remember you saying recently in a post that years ago, I think in the beginning, Bitcoin was 10% of your liquid assets. I guess now it is much more

From that first time when I bought Bitcoin, 2017, I remember that McAfee was the one who was in the media the most, grabbing headlines by claiming that he was going to eat his dick and all that. Today we have Saylor, which I think gives a much better image than McAfee and has contributed more positively to the popularization of Bitcoin.
4996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Women in Gambling on: August 02, 2021, 11:30:50 AM
Curious that the OP gives 4 examples of which 3 are female poker players, a game that many of us do not consider gambling, as they are not inexorably EV-.

On gambling, I see the increasing speed of women also in this area especially with the opportunity of growing online casinos and poker games that they can play from home alone or with their husbands. But for physical gambling that they need to visit a gambling store, maybe they still a little withdrawn not as online either because they are shy or just not convenient for them .

It's the same with porn. When it was necessary to go to a physical place to buy/rent porn, practically no woman watched porn and if she did it was usually in a couple. As soon as they were able to play/view porn pseudo-anonymously the number of women increased. In any case, I think that in percentage terms women will always be less than men. Gambling has more to do with risk and testosterone. And in my opinion, poker does not enter here, because the players take calculated risks combined with guessing, and when they play live, they also read tells from other players.

Part 2: Cities with a poverty problem will vote for the candidate most likely to help them. This is unlikely ever to be a Republican.

If you talk like that in absolute terms, it seems to me that we are going to have a lot to debate. Let's see if we can nuance and finally reach an agreement.

Correction:

Part 2: Cities with a poverty problem will vote for the candidate they believe most likely to help them. This is unlikely ever to be a Republican.

The best way to help poor cities is to create conditions for jobs and low taxes so that people can save. And not to spread the misery.

Democratic cities do more taxes, more regulations, make individual initiative more difficult, are more tolerant of crime (because poor people, society has failed them), make it more difficult to build housing, reducing supply and driving up prices, and so on and so forth. ´

In return they give the poor people crumbs that ensure that they do not starve but do not lift them out of misery. All this sweetened with a discourse of good guys and bad guys in which the politician of the day is the one who saves them from the bad guys, when he does nothing more than perpetuate misery. I am sure that you could give examples of cities well run by democrats in the USA or laborists in the UK or socialists in Europe, but to speak so bluntly I don't think Detroit is an example of how well Democrats have helped poor people in Detroit.

4998  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How the Government made you fat on: August 02, 2021, 07:27:17 AM
I do not have insulin resistance,

You don't know for sure if you have insulin resistance or not if you haven't been tested. Another thing is that there are very indicative symptoms.

my body process glucose accurately,  I am not diabetic,

You see, you just don't understand what I'm saying. Insulin resistance is not equal to diabetes. Many people are insulin resistant and not diabetic. And just because you have normal sugar levels does not indicate how much insulin your body is secreting to keep it at normal levels.

it is completely normal for a healthy human to feel sleepy after meal if he is not doing anything like work.

I must be an alien, then, since I have managed not to feel sleepy after eating on purpose. With so many people having insulin resistance these days, no wonder you say that. Nowadays a predominantly carbohydrate based diet is the norm, just as it is quite normal to have insulin resistance (even if your blood sugar tests come back fine). So, the normal thing is to feel sleepy after eating. Logical.

The links you put are very good, and here I should qualify. I generally don't feel sleepy, even if I eat carbs. However, if after a long fast and physical exercise I eat a large meal based mostly on carbohydrates (we can add alcohol) and for dessert a large amount of sugars, I do feel sleepy. Like after a Christmas meal.

4999  Other / Politics & Society / Re: I love democrats. on: August 02, 2021, 07:10:17 AM
Well, there are two cities in the list that I know a little bit about and info on one of them (El Paso) is definitely wrong. It did have a Republican mayor just recently, who obviously did fuck all to address poverty. Not that I would expect any kind of factual information from BADecker.

Edit: Miami's wrong too, had a bunch of Republican mayors, including from 2009 to date.

I have been checking what you say. It's not that I don't trust you. It's just that in general I don't trust what I see on forums. However, if I had to choose between blindly believing what you say or what TrollDecker says I would believe you.

Regarding El Paso, I have looked at the mayors backwards to 1991 and they came out Republican or no political affiliation. Another thing is that if you know the history you maybe know that such a mayor had an ideology closer to the Republicans even though he was not affiliated with the party but in theory he should be more independent.

Regarding Miami, if anyone doubts between what you say or what he says, you can see the following image to dispel doubts:

5000  Economy / Economics / Re: MicroStrategy Buys $250M in Bitcoin, Calling the Crypto ‘Superior to Cash’ on: August 02, 2021, 06:32:05 AM
I am not sure if you really believe this self-fulfilling prophecy concept.

Lol. I said I've been thinking about it lately. I don't believe it like some people believe in God if that's what you mean.

I doubt that bitcoin gives any shits about whether Saylor likes it or not or whether Saylor promotes it or not...

If we are talking about the very long term, of course not. Bitcoin if I remember correctly started being traded for price below $0.01 (correct me if I'm wrong). If we agree that in the future it will be worth $1M or more, Saylor has little influence on that long process.

If we talk about the last year and the near future, I think it has played an important role, especially in the popularization to companies and to a lesser extent to retail investors. Nowadays you search for "Bitcoin" on Youtube and you immediately get Saylor's videos.

In terms of companies, in February they held their annual user conference which included the Bitcoin for Corporations. According to Mr. Saylor, the Bitcoin program attracted 8,197 attendees from 6,917 different enterprises. He has the videos posted on the website for anyone who wants to see them.

I don't disagree with other ideas in your post, except the implication that you are trying to make that Saylor has any actual material or meaningful role in bitcoin's success....

Again, if we consider the long term in Bitcoin, I think he has little influence. And that Bitcoin is going to succeed more because of its intrinsic properties than anything else. But I didn't want to focus on him so much as on to what would happen if big businessmen happen to have the same conception of Bitcoin as Saylor and act like him, buying a lot of Bitcoin to never sell it, which means a reduction in offer in large quantities. MSTR has approximately 100K Bitcoin. You could get to the point where 1M BTC or more are never offered to be bought.

By the way, this is the first time I've replied to you at length in a post, and I enjoyed it.

Today marks one year since I registered on Bitcointalk and I feel old enough Smiley
