501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 02, 2023, 10:51:13 PM
Yes, most likely this is the case for the camp of Murodjon Akhmadaliev.
They have been the champion and to be honest, we really haven't heard of Marlon Tapales before.
It was all Nonito Donaire and Casimero and other Filipino at 118-122 lbs, and Marlon is just climbing up.
But it was a total surprised when Marlon pull one of the biggest upset when he beat a tough Murodjon Akhmadaliev, outboxing him very clearly and the judge was right about the score.
Now Murodjon Akhmadaliev camp is going to figure it out on how to become a champion again and probably not make the same mistakes.

It was one of the biggest upset in boxing history as Murodjon Akhmadaliev is the heavy favorite to win that WBA/IBF unification fight but one thing good that Marlon Tapales did was adjusting his style on the fly and Akhmadaliev seems failed to adjust thus losing the fight.

Marlon Tapales was nobody before the fight Akhmadaliev and winning the fight against the latter was his big ticket for the unification of the 4 belts so i think the camp of Inoue should compensate him what is due for him as this could be the biggest fight of his career and of course the biggest payday if he will be paid justly.

503  Local / Pamilihan / Re: GILAS PILIPINAS UPDATE ON FIBA WORLD CUP! on: September 01, 2023, 10:37:22 PM

Gilas ML @2.37 vs South Sudan

Good game Gilas, improve next time.

Next stop China, baka may pag-asa tayo rito dahil yong mga players lahat Chinese except for their import.
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford vs Canelo-Charlo winner (no date yet) on: September 01, 2023, 10:26:39 PM
This is all theory.  Spence looks like he is going to trigger the rematch clause so Crawford has to fight him next per the deal that was struck where the lower can trigger a rematch.  Worse yet if Spence wins then there could be a rubber match after that.  I think it's all just wild speculation and Crawford using his win to spark conversation about him.

For me, the rematch's output will still be the same. Crawford dominated the whole fight except for that first round so it will be just the money they are getting here n the rematch and it will not be close, maybe Spence will last until the 12th round but still losing that fight, many even speculated that he has trouble fighting southpaws.

I've read an article that Canelo has changed his tunes and open in fighting Crawford next after his Charlo. This only means that Benavidez and Bivol fights will not happen in the near future.
505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: August 31, 2023, 12:27:51 PM
It is very interesting how far Inoue will get though, he mentioned something like 130 lbs, so not sure if he can go up at 135 lbs as he might lose every advantage he had, like speed and power and timing.

Maybe there is some incentives for him to stay and fight guys like Nery, Casimero and clean up the division. But the problem is that if you have all the belts in one division, each and every governing body will have to fight their mandatories and it's going to be hard for that. So once he unify, it's either he has to follow the mandatory of at least one of the belts he hold, or drop some of it and just retain what he wanted. Just like the approach of 140 lbs unified champion in Josh Taylor.

His promoter, Bob, believes that Inoue is better than Pacquiao. Therefore, they might be considering breaking Pacman's achievements to reinforce their claim. I have no doubts about Inoue's ascent, but ideally, before that happens, he should have the opportunity to face Casimero in a championship fight, with Casimero as the challenger.

I think Bob Arum only said that because he wanted to hype Inoue but the truth is Inoue could not break Pacman's record of the being the only boxer to achieve that fate, 8-division world champion. Inoue is just a 3-division world champion and so many big names just one or two division up of the super bantamweight division which i think are hard to defeat.

Inoue is one of Bob's cash cow at the moment so he will say whatever good things he could say when the press are around.

I just hope that Bob would let his ward fight Casimero very soon.
506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: August 31, 2023, 11:44:17 AM
It's time to gauge whether the Philippines truly possesses the fighting spirit needed to secure victory. With three consecutive losses behind them, I'm confident they've gleaned valuable lessons from those defeats and are poised to perform better tonight.

I appreciate their underdog status; despite that, they have the advantage of playing on their home court with the crowd's strong support. Investing our support in them, regardless of the outcome, doesn't seem like a waste of money. While I initially thought the fun was over, fortunately, two more games remain to be played, and we shouldn't miss the opportunity to witness them.

Good luck guys!

Yeah, that's the good thing about this game, They are not pressured to win as this is only a ranking game I think but a win will somehow justify all the cost that SBP endured in the formation of this version of Gilas. I just wonder though if the arena will still be full considering that this is a no-bearing game for Gilas but for us bettors, good opportunity as the odds ML for them now stands @2.37 in my favorite local bookies.

edit: South Sudan were shooting 3's just as if it is only free throws while Gilas could not hit their free throws, damn game.

Congrats @bisdak40

509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: August 30, 2023, 11:09:26 AM
On the other hand, Tapales does have good speed and a very hard punch,

Just like i said before, no matter how good Tapales is, this is Inoue's game, i mean This unification fight if pushes through is for Inoue to win and all they need to do is pay Marlon Tapales the right amount for them to get the Filipino fighter's nod.

Just a little trivia about Tapales, on his last fight against Akhmadallev, he change is fighting style to a counter-puncher which i think surprise the latter and never got the chance to adjust and this ultimately give the win to Tapales and who knows that he could surprise Inoue the same way he surprised Akhmadallev.

While we are busy with FIBA lately, seems like we are losing one of NorthPort's superstars to Japan B League. Reports have it that Robert Bolick is in Japan right now and a team in Japan, particularly the Fukushima Firebonds are busy entertaining him as they are interested of his services per report of Homer Sayson of Spin.Ph.

Back to the topic.

512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: August 29, 2023, 10:40:38 AM
This is just a regular fight, I do not think that there is a huge money involved it may be a decent amount at best.

With regards to money, I think he got a bigger amount received now with Treasure Boxing Promotion than with MP Promotion based on how generous he is with his friends and families. In his YouTube vlog, he built a stable on which I think cost a hefty amount then he bought a Ford Ranger for himself, i know he can afford that one but he didn't show/experience it when he was with MP Promotions.

Big name or not, I think Quadro Alas will receive a hefty amount that is stipulated in the contract.
513  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Warning Scam] Okbet casino sobrang hassle on: August 29, 2023, 07:29:16 AM
Turns out to be scam casino. I consider my money as loss dahil walang way talaga para macontact ang support at iniignore nako ng support nila sa messenger nila.

Ingat sa casino na ito guys!

Scam Accusation Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5464907

Licensed by PAGCOR naman to kabayan, baka ma-open mo yong mo bukas or sa makalawa.

Casino games ba nilaro mo kabayan or sportsbetting lang?
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: August 28, 2023, 10:17:38 AM
Casimero is obviously a huge favorite in this fight because Oguni wasn't competitive anymore like he was been used in 2016 and older. Casimero should able to win via KO to impress the other, winning via decision isn't really good when he fight not with a strong boxer.

Although the fight will happen in Japan, but I don't think we will see an unfair judgements.

Yeah, it will be obviously a good fight for Casimero, this is just a step up fight for him and maybe if he win this one, he could be up next for the belt at 122 lbs, any of the current belt holder.

So we wanted to see him win here impressively, it will be good if he can score a knockout in front of the Japanese crowd and maybe he will be given the chance to fight Inoue as we have been waiting this in the last couple of years.

It will be a good hype for his career if he wins with a KO, though it's anticipated since the opponents are no longer in his prime
though the home crowd might affect his dedication to win.

It would be a disappointing loss for Casimero if Oguni will put him down and KO him in this fight, on the other side, if Casimero will win
with an impressive KO, surely he will gain more and will be more close to become a contender for the title.

If I'm not mistaken, Casimero is under a Japanese promoter, so his promoters know how to pick up a Japanese that could be a less risk for Casimero as this point so it's a good choice to go for Oguni.
And yes, Casimero is known to be a road warrior, so it doesn't matter if his fight in in Japan or some countries in Latin America. He bring everything in the table here and hopefully we want to see some knockout and impressive wins so that his name will be back on track for a championship fight or even a good fight like Luis Nery or other rank fighters in the division.

You are right mate, Casimero's promoters are Japanese, the Treasure Boxing Promotion. Though some stakeholders of that company might be Koreans but sure there are Japanese owners in that company so biased judging won't be an issue here and besides we all know how Casimero fights in the ring, he is an aggressive fighter that i think a 50-50 round would favor him because of his activity.

I like Casimero to be called the Japanese Slayer to somehow lure Inoue to fight him in the future to avenge the loss of his compatriot.
515  Economy / Gambling discussion / [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: August 28, 2023, 04:50:09 AM

ctto

It is just announced a few hours ago that Casimero will be back in the ring against another Japanese fighter in Oguni on October 12 at Ariake Arena in Japan.

The good thing about this card is that many Filipino fighters will be fighting in the undercard.

Will update the OP once there are available odds and updates about the subject.

516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 28, 2023, 04:04:27 AM
Haney is not with PBC, he is a free agent. He even tried to negotiate a fight with Shakur but made a ridiculous lowball offer that shows he is not serious in wanting to fight him. Tank is the one with PBC but his most recent fight was against a Golden Boy/DAZN fighter, Ryan Garcia. If Tank really wants to fight Shakur, that fight would get made. Too bad Tank only seems interested in in-house mismatches or Instagram influencers with strict rehydration clauses.

Bob Arum has already said that Shakur will fight Lomachenco, just don't know when but I think that is doable since both fighters are under his wings. I just hope though the fight between Loma and Shakur is for the championship belt since Haney has already moved up to 140lbs.

With regards to Tanks Davis, it would be interesting to see him go down a bit, maybe to 130lbs to meet Inoue, that would be a massive fight if Bob Arum would agree.

517  Local / Pamilihan / Re: GILAS PILIPINAS UPDATE ON FIBA WORLD CUP! on: August 28, 2023, 03:52:49 AM
Siguro next year mas maganda performance natin since may JC na tayo at mahaba ang preparation.
In terms of preparation hindi talaga mahaba kasi priority ni JC ang NBA kaysa maglaro para sa ating bansa, nagkataon lang na off season ng NBA kaya andito siya. For FIBA Asia, si Brownlee lang pinapalaro kasi full time naman siya ang naturalized player, and import rin ng Ginebra. And AFAIK, hindi naman every year ang FIBA.

Once in every four years ang FIBA World Cup, yong mga games na may connection sa FIBA ay eliminations lang yon "window game" kung tawagin (correct me if i'm wrong). Balita ko si Brownlee ang gagamitin ng Gilas para sa games to qualify for the Olympics which is napakahirap dahil ang kalaban natin doon ay hindi galing Asia.

Back to the topic.

Angola +6.5 @1.88 vs Gilas

Off topic tayo kabayan.

US vs New Zealand. Nakadale ako ng kaunti doon kasi sa New Zealand +37.5 @1.89 ako, buti nalang at maganda pinakita ng New Zealand sa first quarter at palagay ko yong ang dahilan at hindi lumubo ang lamang ng US sa 30+ hangga't matapos ang laro.
