501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Supernova.cc reporting bug or scam? on: August 25, 2017, 05:00:09 PM
ocminer - the owner of suprnova pools is very trustworthy and have a very positive history.

I don't mine Eth so I can't add more but he's definitely not out there to scam people.
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New PSU shocking me on: August 25, 2017, 11:14:31 AM
Old houses like that are likely to be using very thin wires which can't handle constant loads of like 2-3kW without getting really hot or even causing a fire - regardless of the breaker used.
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Considering DeepOnion success, should we expect plenty more airdrop coins soon? on: August 23, 2017, 09:57:22 PM
@bathrobehero
AKA: common sense  Roll Eyes

Onion supporters play dumb.. par for the course.
We've been over this sooooooooooooooooooo many times.
And not just one aspect is scammy either.. but tons !

A crooked scheme coin was launched and the idiots backing it keep pushing it and playing dumb for $$$
Even if you explain to them HOW it is in fact scammy.
They are not interested.
They are interested in pushing it for profits.

The Airdrop was never legit (see AUR coin)
Further more this was not one.
This shit coin scam uses a SIG campaign which is also scammy as a means of pretending it is an "Airdrop"
Then their denial about it is also scammy then.. we have other aspects such as account / trust farming by the dev's.. scammy again.
Then we have the suspicious nature of Torcoin being exposed as a scam and the same SIG campaign douche bags simply jumped from that scam coin to this one with out skipping a beat.
Then we have the claims of being ANON 100% as scammy..
THEN..
We have the coins staking bullshit.
The devs took a super huge amount of the PREMINED coins then staked them POS for themselves.
That last point would be far more than enough for any rational non-crooked greedy guy to see it is in fact scammy.

Keep playing dumb for ROI's  Cheesy

PS:
@Brokk
You should listen the fuck up noob..
I have been logged here (90 days) more than you have posts.

I always thought you were an unnecessarily harsh loudmouth ever since I've seen your comment releasing your version of cbuchner's ccminer with nothing but extra colors but over time I learned that you have some great ideas and a solid foundation of morales but only now I can fully see the reason behind why you were always so direct and harsh; having to say the same shit over and over and over again for years while the message mostly falls on deaf ears changes how people feel and how they deliver their opinion... So it's mostly an apology I guess.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Considering DeppOnion success, should we expect plenty more airdrop coins soon? on: August 23, 2017, 08:03:58 PM
Airdrop is only a half step better than ICOs.

Centralization of funds is still there and it's not a trustless system until all the funds are distributed.

And airdrop coins also increase account trading. With more airdrops people are incentivized to own dozends of old, cheap accounts to redeem coins multiple times (including the devs themselves and we don't know how much they get from the airdrop to sockpuppet accounts).

All in all, it's only a slightly less shitty system.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you please list the new coins where Vitalik is an advisor on: August 23, 2017, 05:13:00 PM
Advisory status is like a simple we give you money if we can advertise our shit with your name.
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: DeepOnion solves for "pump and dump" dilemma on: August 23, 2017, 02:21:18 PM
Masternodes do the same - incentivize people to hold coins - but in a proper decentralized manner.

Having to rely on a central authority owning massive amounts of the supply is a way bigger issue than market manipulation - which you can't avoid anyway.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I have decided to invest in Quantum Resistant Ledger (QRL) now on: August 23, 2017, 01:03:54 AM
An ICO is an ICO - regardless if it's on Eth or not.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I have decided to invest in Quantum Resistant Ledger (QRL) now on: August 22, 2017, 05:11:35 PM
Why not squash two flies with one stone and go with a project like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2041169.0

"ERC-20 token"

Oh, because it's an ICO shitcoin/cashgrab/gambling BS, nevermind me then.

a white paper is not a project .. just yet
i will 100% take a look though, as it does sound interesting.

I suggest you do the same with QRL.. as unlike the one you directed me to, this one is actually going live in Sep/Oct and is the first of its kind to actually reach that point

QRL is not "ICO shitcoin/cashgrab/gambling BS" . spend some time on it.. I did. you might end up happy you did. I am!

Every single ERC-20 tokens are lazy cashgrabs scams. There's literally zero reasons to start a project with the stink of being a noob-friendly plug-and-play coin with the stench of all the failed(/or intended scam) ICOs coming from ERC-20 tokens.

If the devs are confident in their projects they should fund it themselves or find outside investors. Otherwise you get a centralization of funds which goes against everything that crypto stand for - simple as that.

You might be happy but you sure as shit don't care about what crypto is all and simply speaking you're just a gambler looking for a quick cashgrab. There's nothing wrong with gambling - as long as you're honest about it but ERC-20 token "investors" (e.g. gamblers) are generally lazy and intend to take huge risks in the hopes of high returns completely ignoring the idea of cryptos.

510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Q: Can PCIe Risers Power up 75W Cards that haven't 6pin connector? on: August 22, 2017, 04:29:39 PM
I have PSU's with 8x 6pin for each PSU so i can use 6pin cables directly from PSU
So risers are safe to use with GTX 1050 ti 24/7 ?

I don't see why not. I heard of sketchy risers but none that can't handle cards.

Just to be sure check the temp of the cables of the touch after a few hours of mining.
511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Q: Can PCIe Risers Power up 75W Cards that haven't 6pin connector? on: August 22, 2017, 04:04:47 PM
The risers mostly can (anecdotal evidence as I only have 1 kind of riser that can handle it) but it comes down whether or not the PSU and its cables can.

If you can, only plug 1 card to every wire coming out of the PSU regardless if some cables have 2-4 ports.

I burnt some cables plugging 2-3 GTX 750 Ti's (60W, no riser) per single Molex (not even sata to molex) cables coming from the PSU. With models that had a 6-pin aux cables as well I could plug 2-3 cards per cable and they weren't even warm.

But I learned each card has a built in preference in their BIOS' of what source of power it is using first.

TLDR; always only put 1 riser/card per cable coming from the PSU if you can.
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VIVO - Masternodes, Secure, ASIC-Resistant, Decentralized, High MN Rewards on: August 22, 2017, 02:28:32 PM
is there a way to mine solo? i ry it but miner shows JSON-RPC fail: method not found....what that meens?  Huh Grin

Because its a DASH clone you can unfortunately not solomine this coin.

No solomining and centralized funds (premine), feels like we're going backwards.
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VIVO - Masternodes, Secure, ASIC-Resistant, Decentralized, High MN Rewards on: August 22, 2017, 01:54:24 PM
920000 coins premined with 10 coin blockrewards? That's 127 days of mining if I get the block times correctly.

Fuck off.
514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TheMoneyFight.io - Mayweather vs McGregor on the blockchain! on: August 22, 2017, 10:30:26 AM
There are dozens of already established betting sites - some even accept Bitcoin - which didn't start with ICOs. Stay away from this shit.

516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enigma Hacked; Over $470,000 in Ethereum Stolen on: August 21, 2017, 06:52:46 PM
Maybe stop using centralized shit like website based ICOs and slack.

Dumb, lazy and greedy ICO gamblers deserve crap like this.
517  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: does a high difficulty mean it is harder to find a block on: August 18, 2017, 05:34:18 PM
Higher difficulty means it takes longer to find a block based on the hashrate.

So you can't compare the diff of DCR/ETH/SIA because mining speeds are also different because they use different hashing algorithms.

519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: POSWallet Hacked on: August 17, 2017, 08:25:40 AM
This is what people get if they store coins on centralized services.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: what is conhost.exe is it spose to runing in claymore on: August 15, 2017, 09:05:13 AM
Any virus can be named to conhost.exe. Check where it's located/running from.
