Wow, on a 7870 I went from 1.9 --> 3.25 mhash, worked like a charm  That's kind of neat, you can so drastically change the performance given the same hardware, but just with a bit of fine tuning and optimization. What sort of specialized knowledge do you need to tweak like that? I assume that making kernels is harder than writing "software", at the application level... And writing a compiler is harder than everything  I guess what is the prerequisite knowledge? same , i went from 2 to 3.4 Thanks alot for the binaries wolf ! |

After the launch of GREX how long can we or should we keep mining GRE?
Assuming the X launch is successful the old coin will simply not be supported by the Foundation, however, it will probably continue to exist so you are free to mine as long as you like, and of course any coins generated up to block 500,000 can be traded for GREX at 167 to 1. We should all alert our respective GRE pools of the coming change.... I mine at simplemulti with a GRE payout.... They have pools for X11 and such... will GREX also be merge minable? i sure hope so , mergeable mining would benefit this coin alot. |
