Is this something to caption for Ayracoin? Wink

Perhaps this is better for prediction captioning?

Wink

Got any predictions?

Then caption this:

506  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why should Banks / PayPal / etc use Bitcoin instead of their own? on: June 08, 2014, 04:33:47 AM
They only care about saving on expenses.

It seems to be more about control to me. Bitcoin doesn't offer them control - it takes it away. They'd have to create exactly what they have now - worthless crap that they can control.
507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are Bitcoin/crypto seminars selling at ridiculous prices? on: June 08, 2014, 02:55:26 AM
There's one conference like that coming up shortly where I live. And... thinking about the price of it... Yep - I'd be better off simply buying BTC with that $$$.

And given how BTC prices go, I could then attend 10 conferences next year! Smiley
508  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the blockchain be used for secure voting, and if so, how? on: June 08, 2014, 02:52:48 AM
"Liquid Democracy" sounds pretty good. The video at the link above is impressive.

Here's the site:

http://liquidfeedback.org/

There are problems still, but it looks promising.

It would be interesting to see some "polls" adopt this kind of technology to see it run in a production environment & see what happens.

Oddly enough, I just came across this:

I already have a few FUCKs to give from the other one mentioned above. I couldn't give a FUCK for this FKC though. Wink
511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [News] Win the Bitcoin Car or $10,000 in Bitcoins! on: June 07, 2014, 02:15:37 PM
I see the date is 182 days away. So, you're giving away < 1 BTC? Wink
512  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Can the blockchain be used for secure voting, and if so, how? on: June 07, 2014, 02:04:07 PM
I'm interested in cryptographically secure, decentralised voting. Is this possible with the blockchain? Or is this something more suited to Ethereum?
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Millionaire" is a fiat-based term on: June 06, 2014, 05:44:35 AM
Cryptoaire...? .. you must own at least 1 Bitcoiner or more to be a Cryptoaire.

It doesn't really roll off the tongue very well.

Perhaps "cryptillionaire"?

+1 for bitcoinaire

As above, it doesn't sound very smooth.

Similarly, "bitillionaire" rolls off a bit smoother.
514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin ready for the mainstream? on: June 06, 2014, 05:40:35 AM
Is Bitcoin ready? Yes. Is the mainstream ready for Bitcoin? No.
515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you Take my Survey on: June 06, 2014, 05:38:15 AM
It might help to put some information on what the survey is in the OP.
516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going to the MOON? I dont think so... on: June 06, 2014, 05:36:00 AM
How I see it:

Moon $1000   <- hit it and bounced off
Mars  $10,000
Jupiter $100,000
Oort Cloud $1M

Mars before 2020? Hopefully  Smiley

I'm hoping for 1 order of magnitude per year. It's perfectly well possible as history has shown. So, Mars in 2015. Smiley
517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ebay CEO finally surrender to Bitcoin on: June 06, 2014, 05:32:45 AM
I'm curious as to what this will mean for Blockchain.info. Could they step up their offerings to be the next "PayPal"?
518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you USE your BTC? on: June 06, 2014, 05:08:42 AM
I'm still trying to get more bitcoins, but I occasionally spend some. Then I buy more to replenish what I spent.
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - UPDATE 1.00.07b - 22/April/14 on: May 23, 2014, 12:20:59 PM
It would be nice to see a HUC/BTC/NMC exchange only.

I don't know if a small exchange like that could survive. If it were decentralized one, then maybe... But POW would be out of the question in all likelihood...

Still, those are my 3 favourite currencies.

Or skip all these little shit fly by night exchanges and head straight to BTC-e.

BTC-e would be a great place for HUC, but their 5 decimal places would present a problem given the current price. Even FTC and TRC have 2 digits of resolution there.

If I could pick an exchange for HUC to be on, it would be BTC-e, hands down - no contest. But... not up to me... Sad
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - UPDATE 1.00.07b - 22/April/14 on: May 12, 2014, 09:03:42 PM
1 min block times are too long to make this actually playable.

Try playing with 20 Hunter teams & then say that... YIKES! 1 minute isn't a lot of time. If you're in a crown battle, it's very hard to control because the time is so short.

But, if you have only a very few teams, then yes - 1 minute seems like forever.

Try working with more teams, or try attacking bots that are returning to base - you'll find that 1 minute is pretty fast. If you've got 50 or 100 or more HUC that you're hunting, you'll eventually end up asking yourself, "Is it ok to pee in a bottle if I get the coins?" Tongue Grin
