Price has recovered nicely after last night's round of profit taking. Bring on the rally! Can someone comment on the potential risks involved with the reliance on individual mixing and broadcast nodes? It seems like this coin could abruptly 'break' if one of these servers goes down. With only one person or small group in charge of running these nodes, it seems to give the developers a disproportionate amount of power over the basic functionality of the entire network. Am I misunderstanding this? Could multiple mixing and broadcast nodes be introduced to somewhat decentralize this service?

What about something where the S and C are merged but with the C around the S.
Also why is the logo red? I think red doesnt signify what ppl want from money. YOu never see any banks with red logos I believe (correct me if im wrong). Red is associated with wealth in China. So it works that angle very well  Newest draft of the logo looks good, I'd like to see one that resembles the original more closely for comparison, though. |

I also sort of like design 1, it has a nice clean feel to it. When it's shrunk down it won't be confusing about what the "S" is.
edit: after looking at both again, the horns aren't that intrusive. Calling them "horns" and associating it with anything other than little spikes on a font is ridiculous. Look at any Serif font, you get the same sort of thing. This is just tasteful styling.

So long as you stop being biased against GLD for no good reason. There was no instamine, it was set out to have superblocks at the start to make it fairer for day 1 miners as other coins had linear growth but ignored the fact that their difficulties were not growing linearly.
I know plenty of people who had nothing to do with the original team that got some of those coins.
Where the hell did you even get the 3.2% number from. Seriously it's about as erroneous as you could get.
And how exactly is it determined who gets into what category?
Will you be making the unilateral decisions here?

Anyone who holds or is thinking of buying SBC will care what the "religious wackos" think if/when SBC starts getting dumped becuase of poor choice of logo. Horns is definitely not a good idea; people might associate it with devil, and the "S" with Satan, and red with the devil. This will deter 2 kinds of people from SBC:
1. Christian / religious types.
2. Non- religous types, don't give a damn about the horns per se, but even they might be worried that the horns will scare off the religious types and therefore limit the appeal of the coin.
The only person around here nutty enough to make that association would be Luke Jr. |

Yes, refer to this post he made Onward to other matters - the support we've been receiving from the Chinese community has been astounding. You might be surprised to learn that the Chinese section of these forums is actually one of the biggest areas for bitcoin related discussion. The Chinese cryptocurrency community is very fragmented. A lot of discussion about bitcoin/altcoins takes place in rather obscure places and over chat programs. In light of this, we have many individuals spreading the word about StableCoin throughout these areas - an approach no other coin has even bothered to try, because they are so out of touch with the Chinese community. The results speak for themselves. We will be applying this same approach as we expand into other areas as well.

Profit taking is to be expected. The way up is always bumpy. Volume on Cryptsy is 440 BTC, so the demand for SBC is impressive.

There is no flaw. Centralization is a necessary evil involved in a mixing system. Artos proposes to decentralize the process as much as reasonably possible. Compared to traditional bitcoin mixing services, it is a huge improvement.
