1063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] [MΣC] Megacoin has arrived. Scrypt & Core 0.8.2+ Updates: CPU Fix & Ports on: June 16, 2013, 07:11:39 PM
I pm'd Komoto to see his CV.  Given he's a doctor, I assume he has one like all doctors.  No reply so far.

Is there even a website for this coin?  Any projects on the docket?  A dev team working on the basics, like payment processing?

Another day has passed and still nothing.  No reply, no website, no project announcements, no dev team introductions, nothing...

How are we supposed to educate ourselves about the prospects of a coin and its dev team, as well as the legitimacy of their claims?

So you love using currencies designed for anonyminity, but demand I hand out my resume? Silly game.
Post your name, address and telephone number here in this thread and we'll be in contact shortly.
It doesn't matter what somebody says. Only actions really count. Educate yourself, instead of relying on others to educate you.
Still waiting on an official response as to why your change the port number, clown Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Emerald, the new alt coin is launched!! on: June 16, 2013, 05:56:46 PM
Boring.
1065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoin, heavily premined, 1.2+ million coins premined!! on: June 15, 2013, 04:12:37 PM
This is terrible.  I am glad this was discovered before this coin makes an exchange.

Ban the original developer and keep this coin off of exchanges

Sucks because I mined a ton of it but this is a clear scam where the developer modified the source code and, also, changed his original post.  The original announcement had no mention whatsoever of a premine.  I would NEVER have mined this coin if that was the case.

Premine was mentioned in the OP from the moment the post was made, fuck, there are people on PAGE ONE discussing it. Please refer to: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=227766.msg2397962#msg2397962 Are you guys really this dense?
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Ann] SniperCoin released on: June 15, 2013, 08:10:41 AM
People are directing hashes at this? Who in their right mind would mine a coin made by the local forum nutjob/scammer/bitbar shill known as trucoin? Cheesy
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoin, heavily premined, 1.2+ million coins premined!! on: June 15, 2013, 06:46:08 AM
Some people are fucking retarded, this coin premined, hide it, erased all the traces of premining, pretending a fair coin, only really retarded people will believe it.

Nothing to argue here, just look at the facts, that's all, nothing simpler than this, only the true retards don't understand or pretend not to understand.
It was mentioned in the fucking OP of the thread, are you really this retarded? Cheesy Cheesy
Hazard, of course, your reputation is good, lol. You still remember your knowledgeable comments in Luckycoin thread, do you? And your numerous jokes... I have no comments to you. Grin Grin
You're like a broken record Cheesy Nothing more than a court jester to me.

itt: retards who can't read, premine was mentioned in the op, and was discussed for many pages.

even though it was stated at the outset that 0.5 % of the coin would be set aside why would they check in the code in github without any trace of premine as is claimed?
I just checked it, the premine is still on github, its contained within the genesis block. Just because you don't know where to look doesn't mean its not there.  Roll Eyes

FACT: you can't ''hide'' a premine due to the nature of how block verification works. This shit is fully visible throught the block explorer too.

From Dr Kimoto:

Well a short summary: Have a coin that isn't backed by a incredibly stale development "team" (LTC) that asks for donations. I've been mirroring BTC every step along the way but using scrypt.  The coin distribution may sound weird, but it was highly calculated as well to provide benefits to all who wish to join and long term potential.  Not have an insane block time and a block re-target calculation that works for most situations (without making people re download their clients weeks later) and survive the initial surges. This is definitely not a pump in dump.  I recoded in a very short time what several people couldn't in over a year.

He is also developing a website for this coin that is going to be quote "kick ass" whatever that means....
Developing the back end tools to easily add payment gateway stuff to your website.
As mentioned before, it uses the most recent Bitcoin code using scrypt. Something that the litecoin "team" has been unable to do.

The coin is basically the only Unique coin to come out since litecoin just under the software tree its using. All the other coins (and there are many) are essentially copy and paste with nothing more added except changes in the coins/re-targets.

The skills of this Dev are certainly par above many of the other coin dev's and we should expect to see some great things.
Yes, the skills of this dev are so high that he didn't even know using the same ports as litecoin would cause issues. Hahah this guy is a clown. Fucking amateur hour.

Megacoin, meet secondary market on cryptsy Cheesy
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Overwhelming on: June 15, 2013, 01:16:10 AM
You're an idiot if you think kim dotcom is behind megacoin. A complete idiot.
1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here's the scammer behind notroll.in. Do what you want, he deserves justice. on: June 14, 2013, 07:47:23 PM
Also holy shit I've never seen someone make such a mockery out of aviators in my life.
1074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here's the scammer behind notroll.in. Do what you want, he deserves justice. on: June 14, 2013, 07:46:47 PM
Someone call his mom and tell him he's been a bad boy.
1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Merge of DGC and ARG Development Teams on: June 14, 2013, 07:45:44 PM
Regardless, DGC has been literally the only altcoin that hasn't crashed and burned on cryptsy. Has an active dev who keeps pushing out new services. Him helping out with ARG can only mean good things.
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Merge of DGC and ARG Development Teams on: June 14, 2013, 07:43:32 PM
Truth hurts, I just call it like it is.

1077  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Merge of DGC and ARG Development Teams on: June 14, 2013, 07:38:23 PM
You will surely die too.
? Really? This comment coming from the developer....

lol, wow, Just goes to show you folks out there who is in charge of the development. Immature, no class, and childish... You just confirmed that there is no professionalism behind this coin.
Only an idiot would take offense at that. You'll die, I'll die, litecoin will die, bitcoin will die. Does that mean our endeavors are pointless?

Now go along and release icecoin2 Cheesy And this time, add a checkpoint after your premine Cheesy
