Greetings,

I have installed the Android wallet on my tablet but am unclear of the correct procedure for setup. Skimming back through the thread didn't further the information for a proper installation either. I'm being asked for a couple of things when the wallet is opened the first time and unclear of what should be done. Is there a guide anywhere and if not, would you kindly have the creator post them? Also, explaining what the options mean might be wise.

Thank you,

CapnBDL
      Cool

Excellent idea! Any community volunteers to create an install walk thru guide? I will pay 50 CBX for the service.

Fellow Bullionaires, I am happy to announce the imminent launch of the CBX Promo Card marketing program; it was suggested by elambert a while back. The first batch of this card will be 2000 copies;
if successful there will be more batches. One side will be in English, flip side in French (my language); other languages can easily be adapted as well if you are interested.

This campaign has been made possible only after completion of the current Mobile Android Vault of course; I just couldn't wait to put wheels of this great idea in motion: Mobile opens many possibilities as we all know.

Let me know what you think of this card: if you see some ameliorations I should consider - let me know.

Also, most importantly, if you would like to help our cause with this campaign and are interested to distribute a few cards yourself in your area, please send me a PM!!!

Great design VonSpass, I like it! Clean and to the point.

Community - We are very excited about this project as it will make it possible for the community to get involved in a hands on way and start to expose people in their respective locales to Crypto Bullion.

This enables us to get the CBX Vault and currency into the hands of people who have never been exposed to cryptocurrencies. At the present, cryptocurrency is adopted and used by a very small segment of the population and has been unable to bridge the gap to the broader population. Due to this, cryptocurrency markets have recessed and stagnated for almost a year now.

This project will help to bridge this gap and put Crypto Bullion at the forefront.

Again, community assistance will be necessary to make this project go viral and the more that get involved, the bigger this can be.

More to come on this and some other exciting news as well Smiley

Community and friends of CBX, I have the honor to announce the official release of the Android CBX Vault; this Vault comes as part of an upcoming special marketing program, therefore new Mobile Vaults are prefunded with 10 Bulls (0.10 CBX). The Apple iOS mobile Vault will follow.

Please note that the Mobile Vault uses the Bulls as CBX reference, as we see the Bulls as more convenient for the developing transactional aspect of our Crypto Bullion.

In Google Play if you search for "Crypto Bullion", you are sure to find it: but here is the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.coinlabs.cryptobullionlight&hl=en

This incentive 10 Bulls, as you can guess, is not free however: so donations to 5c3hmSpD7j5VxPcwLJpUwu8s3VScgJogq2 are welcomed and appreciated; they will help keep this mobile program running.

Be totally 2016 by sending CBX using the QR code reader mobile feature, using both the standard PC Vault's QR code generator and the Mobile Vaults reader!!!!

Wonderfull news, great work guys.

As mentioned before I still have 650 cbx for any promotions. I think they best be in your hands or we could allocate it all to the program, that would keep it running for a very long time (6500 installs  Cheesy)

Good stuff!

BTCat - if you don't mind, perhaps send 50 of the CBX to the mobile Vault funding address.

Added a guide to the forum to assist those interested in creating a CBX multisig address.
http://forum.cryptobullion.io/index.php?topic=1675.0

It is a great feature for multiple purposes but currently is a little clunky to do. We will work on making this more user friendly in a future release but the functionality is here now for those interested.

If a community member is interested in trying the outlined procedure and making a more user friendly step by step manual for publication, I will pay 50 CBX for the assist Smiley

Here is a good video on multisig benefits and uses:

If I've made a fool of myself by posting this, I owe you a beer:

Turned out to be fake. Stresstest is always good so that people remember the risks, I guess that's the only positive thing we can get out of this. Or perhaps a beer?  Grin

Back to buying altcoin dips Smiley

This is a relief, thank you for the update BTCat!

Curious timing with the recent changes removing transaction fees and increasing withdrawal fees...

Better safe than sorry!

Agree! Funds should always be kept in your control - this is one of the major advantages of cryptocurrencies. Move them into exchanges for trading and then get them out. We have seen numerous examples of people taking large financial losses by turning over the control of their funds to 3rd parties.

Also, does anyone know if there's a block explorer that shows the rich list like cryptoid? I'd like to see the distribution...

I saw the BE in the OP, but I couldn't find that feature.

Coinplorer provides this (under old name CGB) although I am not certain how close the data is to real-time. https://coinplorer.com/CGB

We will look into adding this to our explorer as it is a nice to have...

Your Vault does not need to be running the 30 days... you just need your bullion to be aged a minimum of 30 days at which point you can unlock your Vault and start to compete for stake.

Yes, I see what you're saying, the two are there initially. However, upon clicking to unlock for staking only, the lock in the lower right doesn't open, it disappears altogether leaving just the network strength symbol and the green checkmark indicating the wallet is synced.

Okay, just had a look at my Vault to confirm the lock positioning and made an edit to previous post. Here is the edited data:

EDITED:

Lock vs Unlock positions for Vault display:

* Both in locked position = locked and encrypted
* Both in unlocked / open position = Vault is unlocked
* Top unlocked / bottom lock disappears = unlocked for staking only

Also, even though the wallet is synced, I still got the out of memory error as I leave the computer on and open to mint. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have never experienced this. Are you running other software simultaneously to the Vault mining process which may be overloading your memory?
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Bullion (CBX) | Est. 2013 | PoSP (in development) | PoV (Genesis) on: October 03, 2015, 06:58:10 PM
Besides keeping one's wallet open, is there anyting else to do in order to generate stake after 30 days?

Is CBX like PPC, in that if the wallet is encrypted, one has to run a special .bat file to allow the minting to occur?

If so, is there an example of that file anywhere?

If encrypted, you only have to unlock your vault to mint. For safety, it is preferable to use the 'unlock for minting' option so a password is still required to withdraw bullion from your vault.
I think it's minting, but there is no unlocked padlock in the lower right hand corner indicating that the wallet is encrypted but currently unlocked for block minting only. Is this normal? Again, I don't see anything specifically telling me that I'm minting anything...

EDITED:

Lock vs Unlock positions for Vault display:

* Both in locked position = locked and encrypted
* Both in unlocked / open position = Vault is unlocked
* Top unlocked / bottom lock disappears = unlocked for staking only

I get Error loading block database.

The .zip only had 1 file in it. the blk0001.dat, were there supposed to be 2 in it as before?

You are correct, fixing now - give me a few minutes please.
Thanks!

Ok, give it a go now please.

@elambert thanks for the quick response. Easy fix - took me from ~350k blocks to download to ~177k blocks to download. Much better!

I have updated the bootstrap with the blockchain saved as of yesterday. You may want to go ahead and stop your current process and give the new file a go. It is live on the website download page.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks.

Installed the wallet and have been trying to download the chain for days. I leave it on and go to work, when I return, there is an out of memory error. I've got 250 G of free space and 8 gig ram on a Windows 8.1 system. I just keep restarting it...

Any advice?  Huh

Use the bootstrap download from the website so you can avoid downloading the entire chain. One of our community members actually just put together a step by step on how to do this. It can be found on our forum here.

Well, we've at least refreshed our cross-community relations! Let's see if the Cryptopia pair gains any traction 'unilaterally,' so to speak.

Mark (IndiaMikeZulu)

I just took a look at the UNO/CBX market. I think one of the problems is that people are not familiar with the rates and it takes effort to pick up a calculator. We're so used to BTC and LTC, when you see the price you remember it's history and can make a decision. I think at least a chart should be produced with historic UNO/CBX prices and overlays of both paired with BTC and USD to get a good picture. A better system to reflect on these prices could help get more interest in these altcoin pairings.

Great point BTCat. The conversion rate between these new trading pairs is a bit of a hurdle and definitely acts as a barrier to trading. The chart idea is a very good one.
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Bullion (CBX) | Est. 2013 | PoSP (in development) | PoV (Genesis) on: September 28, 2015, 07:39:08 PM
Are you suggesting setting up a stand alone exchange for trading of CBX/UNO exclusively?

The exchange is already ready ... https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange?market=CBX_UNO

The advantage is cross support without the need to constantly back the price with BTC.

The essence of this 'horizontal stuff,' Elambert, is a recognition that similar coins with small caps can 'cross-boot-strap' each other.

Now, in the present situation, members of either coin can trade the other via Bitcoin., and that's beneficial.

But if the two communities each see the other as a sort of 'holding tank' of value against each other* (and Bitcoin is not the middleman . . . ), really significant amounts of buy-support could become the norm.

We are calling here, fellow crypto-commodity developers, for a consideration of a fundamental change of consciousness.

*And I wanna discuss 'bagholderism' a bit later: long time community members end up with a little too much of one crypto than is perhaps healthy for its perception by potential investors. We could progress to significant otc trades between the communities.

Ok, I think I follow now. Your logic makes sense and is a good marketing tool to help UNO grow their market/trading pairs at Cryptopia. I am not opposed to CBX holders getting involved with this should they desire UNO. Just like with the CBX/LTC trade pair or Ripple/CBX trade pair at Cryptsy - people have more options to obtain what they desire without going through BTC.

However, for me personally, I honestly have no interest in other cryptos. So for me to trade CBX for Uno, LTC, Ripple, Bitcoin or even cash for that matter does not make sense. I have worked my butt off for over 2 years on CBX and am fully committed in heart, time and money to continuing this journey with 100% commitment and focus.

To each their own though, but I am confident in what we are doing and where we are going so I don't think I would be of much help in this endeavor...

Please pardon my intrusion. Thanks so much for your time.

Mark

No intrusion IMZ. You are always welcome here and we encourage all points of view to be heard. I love the outside of the box thinking and am a firm believer in exploring progressive ideas as there are always lessons to be learned and values to be identified.

That being said, I am not quite sure I understand the proposition or suggestion you are bringing to the table. Are you suggesting setting up a stand alone exchange for trading of CBX/UNO exclusively?

HI ALL,

Can someone tell me if there is a minimum amount needed before you start seeing staking rewards? I just have a small amount (so far) but haven't seen my wallet do any staking yet (it is unlocked).

Thanks,

      Cool

1 CBX is the minimum amount and it must sit stationary in your wallet for at least 30 days before it becomes eligible to stake. Keep in mind, stake priority is subject to coin age (number of coins * days sitting stationary) so the more CBX you have and/or the longer you hold stationary, the more likely you are to earn stake.

Guys, there's an Uno/CBX trading-pair on Cryptopia.

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz

We have been talking about contacting you to discuss it, but . . . with the Cryptsy thing . . .  now seems a good time.

[And otc trades? I'd love to see that.]

Mark (IndiaMikeZulu), Australia

Hi Mark! That is an intriguing trade pair, thanks for the heads-up!

What is the Cryptsy thing you mention? Confirms?
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Bullion (CBX) | Est. 2013 | PoSP (in development) | PoV (Genesis) on: September 18, 2015, 08:00:51 PM
I generally keep my CBX off the exchange so I can stake, but with the 99 confirms they require for CBX deposits I do sometimes keep some handy to trade with. Any idea why we need to have so many confirms and can we do anything about it?

Cryptsy is having a look at this for us. Will let you know, thanks for the heads-up.
