What do you think about go to Swiss with few people from all Europe in the same day?
Who can ride with me to Swiss and check what this company do and speak with them face to face and demand our money!
We don't leave their company until they give us money back. Otherwise we can wait another year.
What do you want to check?

They are operating a building for assembly and office space in Switzerland, but as they have designed their new miners for the cloud, they are most likely delivered directly to Iceland.

I would guess that these units either arrive in Iceland fully assembled, or are assembled there as it would make little sense sending them on a detour to Switzerland first.

From what I have heard, cloudhashing is operational, so if you like not having to worry about your hardware either have your bought units turned into cloud hashing contracts, or wait for your refund.

That is a stupid idea. The only thing that you will achieve is getting arrested.

Will the SP31 & SP35 have the same problem with 208v vs 230v?
I donīt know the exact make and model of PSUs used in these enhanced sp30s, but performance should always be slightly better on higher voltages.

Is there a changelog for the sp10 software upgrade 1.5.6?

I wonder if Sonny is still on probation re his previous mail fraud conviction...
Yes, he is, it was prolongued for 2 years early this year  Grin

I guess he should practice on not dropping the soap again.

BFL consistenly and systematically fucked customers over last year, denying them refunds although they were required BY LAW to give them, as they didnīt ship their product near advertised time or on spec (efficiency!).

False. There was no law requiring us to give refunds. Please cite caselaw to support your position (you can't, since it doesn't exist. Please consult a lawyer before addressing this issue going forward. As for the advertised spec, people were offered refunds and were in fact REQUIRED to accept the new specs or they would be given a refund if they did not respond in a certain amount of time.  How much more proactive and ethical can it get in that regard?

Bad business ethics includes all the mentioned problems, aswell as the systematic preying on newbies through false advertising.

What false advertising would that be?

It seems that unlike you, the FTC has a perfectly working understanding of the described problems  Tongue

Then again, this is only my internet law degree speaking, so maybe it is all a huge misunderstanding with the FTC Cool

Hey Josh, how is your totally clean slate business running now?
(You know the one you whined about to Dogie "I demand a change in your evaluation.... blablabla)

The long arm of justice finally got you scammers cornered, what do you have to say about that  Roll Eyes

I guess Karma is a bitch, but then again, you all had it coming for far too long.

I doubt that any company with even a marginally better track record will hire you, but that is only my opinion.

Today is a great day for miners, finally one of the most shady US-based miner manufacturers is taken down.
528  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 17, 2014, 09:32:00 AM
everything in china is so cheap, i bet their costs per S3 unit are not more than 150 $ (which I still belive is much lower in reality, like 100 $ per unit or so)
they pay employees for a full day of work less than 5 $
Chip costs are the same all over the world, and bulk pcb orders are also quite the same price.

I stand by my estimation concerning internal costs of 0.4$/GH for S4s, likely a little less for S3s.

This can be calculated when taking into account standard wafer cost, packaging cost, pcb cost etc. (and includes only the production of the unit, no shipping)

It also doesnīt include NRE and other engineering expenses (28nm chip ~$2-5M NRE).

I admit that there might be room for error, but it is most likely less less than +/-20%.

When you can stop typing =squeak= in every fucking message and bitching about things where people can understand the fucking rating I'll remove your negative rating. Until then you are by far one of the most annoying people I've ever seen.
Please donīt pay attention to him, he is most likely a paid BFL shill.

(Atleast that is the only real explenation as to why someone would say positive things about BFL I can come up with)
530  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 17, 2014, 06:59:29 AM

Where did you get the info that S3 production cost is 0.4$/GH? Hopefully the production cost is cheaper for S4.
It might be a little lower as the chips are overclocked and no PSU is included, but not by much.

It is accurate for S4 though (more chips, included PSU...).

People often donīt realize that there is a real limit to the amount a vendor can discount its hardware, and that is production cost.
With these low bitcoin prices, high difficulty rates etc. the profit margins on the hardware side arenīt what they used to be.

Chip cost, cost of assembly, pcb and PSU cost are all factors that cannot really be influenced by the vendor (other than bulk discounts, these do not apply to chips though)
A good chip design can decrease the cost per GH for chips, but once everyone is on 28nm, there is no big difference between vendors.
531  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 17, 2014, 04:59:45 AM
You idiots should stop funding Chinese mining farm.... seriously you think you can beat them?

For every S4 sold, it will fund 5x S4s for their farm.

That is highly unlikely, as production cost for S3s is around 0.4$/GH....

Each unit also includes shipping costs which arenīt cheap at all, so the profit for bitmain is very thin.

On top of this, Chinese farms arenīt really as competitive as you might think. Chinese electricity prices, while heavily subsidized, are still quite high in comparison to WA state 0.03$/kWh power rates.
532  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 16, 2014, 06:38:49 PM

Ok, I'll look into getting a 30AMP PDU in London. So i can connect that directly into my socket. Will this be enough to plug 2 or more SP-30s?

The PDU will not magically improve the maximum power you can draw from one line.

If you are pulling too much power, it will trip that circuitīs brakers and it will turn off.

You still need a total of around 45 Amps power (including safety limits), and I donīt think one circuit (without any modifications) will be able to provide that.
I guess standard circuits should allow ~16A of power draw.
533  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 16, 2014, 05:40:17 PM
I just vent my miners out a window.  The screen protects the miners from a squirrel making a nest in them.  No need to pay for cooling.  I've done it for over a year now with no issues other than noise, but these days I'm running S3's which are very quiet.  Probably wouldn't work with the jet engine noise level of the SP units.  Unless you live away from other people who would complain.
I have done a similar setup with 8 S3s, just pointed the end to a higher cfm fan, and it helped a lot. Temperatures at the intake side never reached more than 27°C.

Then again, spondoolies gear is probably a little more sensitive to heat, so simply extracting hot air will only work if the intake air is at a decent temperature, or you risk loosing some hashrate.
534  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 16, 2014, 05:24:21 PM
4 Btc would be hugely expensive for a 2 TH miner.
0.7-0.8$/GH seems like a fair price to me, so around 3.4Btc would be a fair price imo.
535  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S4 2TH/s, Batch 1 on Sale this week, shipping before Sept. Ends on: September 16, 2014, 04:09:15 PM
I guess it will be around ~1.1kW psu, ~0.55W/GH (as this was avertised as maximum chip efficiency).

Price should be around 0.7$/GH, that would be very fair.

I hope it will be shipped / built in a manner that protects it against damage from moving parts during shipping.
536  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 16, 2014, 02:55:18 PM

Wow. Noise can be mitigated by buying an expensive ($5K) cabinet, but heat?
people just look at the production numbers and don't think about heat, which is a MAJOR issue (for home).
The Guy that builds these open racks for GPU mining also has a sound reduction cabinet for rackmountable gear for under $1K, and it works quite well.

THERE is no cheap hosting in London, UK electricity rates are too high.

Get spondoolies to send the units directly to a hosting facility of your choosing, that way you will not have to worry about VAT (and additional shipping costs).

Look for the hw hosting comparison thread in the service discussion subcategory of the marketplace.
537  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 16, 2014, 02:50:14 PM

Really? I'm from the UK so all the appliances I have support 240v. I believe the SP-30 takes 240v from the wall?
Will it be hard for me even to plug two machines to my wall? Is there any other way?
I doubt your room has a 39A circuit (circuit at ~99% load, 3 sp30s).

You could lay some more cables from other circuits to the room to increase the load you can provide.

Just go to your braker pannel and look up the rating for the braker(s) to that room.
538  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 16, 2014, 02:45:56 PM

In the back of my house I have a separate building which is being used as a music studio. I was planning to put the machines into a server rack and store them in that space with that air-conditioner. Are there any other ways I could keep them as a home solution? Maybe a different air-con? or server rack with cooling?
Sure, you could get an air-con that supports around 27kBTU, which will consume around 3kW of power itself.

You could increase the airflow through the building to around 1000cfm, and if outside temperatures are not above 30°C, everything should be fine.

You could go for an evaporative cooling solution if you live in a dry climate, this can give you both enough airflow aswell as enough cooling.

Finally, you could purchase hosting with one of the many hosting providers.
539  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 16, 2014, 02:38:28 PM

The question is... Running 2-1500W power supplies at home from the wall.  Is that even recommended?  Most appliances such as dish washer/clothes washer don't even take that much power?

That adds to the problem aswell.

Standard wiring will not provide 9kW of 220V power in a normal room.
540  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: September 16, 2014, 02:33:22 PM
@boscocoin

That AC is barely enough for ONE sp30.

When you say "in your room" I hope you do not mean that you will be staying in that room when the units are in there?

Evacuating 3kW of heat from a 2U case produces a significant amount of noise....

These sp30s are optimised for datacenter performance and not meant to be a home solution.
They can be a home solution with proper AC / airflow engineering, but hardly in a closed room.

Apart from the fact that AC equipment is expensive, running it also adds to your electricity bill, and unless you get WA state power rates, that will mean a big increase in your hosting cost.
