I also heard that bitcoin is up, is anyone following...   Of course. News of new life in Bitcoin hit mainstream over the holidays. Some outsiders took notice, but were unable to access fundage to buy in. Jan 1, over $1000. Those newcomers who took notice are likely becoming highly interested. Now with this great push, we may see ATH any hour. And FOMO is likely to ensue with the next wave of adopters. Couple this with the reset of China's $50,000 annual currency conversion, and all signs look good for a new hyperbolic rise. Likely followed by a crash (IMO), but to a new higher local minima. What level? Unknowable. $1000? $1500? $3000? Higher?Sounds like now it is good time to buy even for the smart money if you consider the new low will be minimum 1000 usd. |

Always it breaks my heart when people end up in separation.
Why "always"? In many cases, divorce is a positive experience for both parties. Human beings are extremely complex creatures and constantly changing. Sometimes it's best for the marriage to end and both people to move on with their lives. People seem to divorce because they think they have grown to different paths. People did not use to divorce in the old days. There is a meme gone viral on Facebook which states: "We used to be the generation that did not throw away something that broke but we used to fix it" and the picture on the meme was very old couple who obviously have gone through the most stormiest weathers in their marriage and yet survived. Divorce is giving up. It is giving up in front of the challenges instead of going through the pain and grow even stronger. I know what I am talking about from my personal experience. There have been several times when I felt in my heart I am married to the wrong person and I wish I have chosen otherwise. Usually the change in a relationship starts from oneself, not from the other. In Zohar it says a woman is a moon and a man is the sun. What does this want to say? It is the sun that is the source of the light and the moon is only reflecting. In a marriage and relationship (marriage is actually a Jewish thing, not required by God to the non-Jewish). Divorce is allowed also in Torah, it is true. But in my opinion a person should not marry too easily and ponder well enough on what to do in the struggles. And often it is easy to blame the other part instead of taking responsibility oneself. That is in my opinion the reason why a person who divorces once very likely divorces second and possibly third time - one has not learned the lesson of not trying to change the other but change oneself instead... Divorce in my personal opinion is allowed when the other partner uses domestic violence, cheats etc (but then again, why in the first place marry a person who has tendency to such things, one should study the partner well enough before jumping into it). But I think not much can be done if there is no motivation to continue (ie will to love). Marriage needs the will to love, that's the reason why they ask in the wedding ceremony "Are you willing to love..." As long as there is will, there is a way. When there is no will, there is not also a way. |

Thanks Jarmo I appreciate your willingness to help, and yes - I did not use the word "divorce" b/c it's a legal term and neither has applied afaik. The separation has been in effect for some time now and factually she discarded my husbandry in favor of that of the State, years ago. The pariterapia we tried a few times already but it is hard to find a therapist who is grounded enough in God's work and plan, including that of marriage, that I'd be interested to continue with (usually) her. True believers are hard to find.
Always it breaks my heart when people end up in separation. It is usually hard to find a therapist both of you can trust in, and also it requires a commitment because if there is no motivation, very little can be done. They ask in the wedding if you are willing to love him/her. If there is no will very little can be done. If you end up in divorce (which I hope will not take place), at least it is recommended to work on yourself and not to rush to new relationship... The depression will take place at some point after divorce and that period need to be overcome so that you can better continue with the new person. Therapists are usually just means of communication - they do not give much tips. Their job is to try to help the couple onto the same page. With us it took 3-5 times to get started, then the following 5-10 times were processing and the rest of the times it was new discoveries that popped up for further therapy which we decided not to take at the moment. Usually pariterapia has not more to do with religion than buying groceries (Bible gives rules which foods are allowed and which are not, also marriage/relationship with commitment has its roots in the Scriptures). The academic background of the therapist we used was Master of Theology so she understood religious things and way of thinking. Okay I guess I have nothing more to say here anymore to this topic. I read the joulusatu - Xmas Carol and according to it your wife did not apply for divorce.
In fact, you use yourself a term of separated which can mean both divorce or living in the different addresses but still married.
Therefore, I tend to think you just have a temporal bad time in your marriage and you will go through it. You said your wife keeps on ignoring you... Sounds like you have the most common problem in marriage - the communication.
Have you tried family councelling (pariterapia)? We used to have 16 session in family councelling and I have to say it helped a lot with the communication. If you want, I can give you the name and contact information of the psychotherapist I am refering to.

Even though the price has gone up a bit, is now still a good time to buy more XMR?
ZEC is trading at almost 3x the price of Monero, and I personally feel that Monero is a much better product, with at least some support even if its mostly from darknet vendors right now.
Surely the price could go as high as Zcash, right?
I don't think $40 to $50 is unreasonable if we get more exchanges and wallets supporting the coin, and start to see some clearnet websites start to accept payments in XMR.
(Or is this just wishful thinking?)
Yeah, the time to buy was when the price was .01 or better. One thing you can count on is volatility, maybe put some low ball bids in at .012 on the chance you get filled. Otherwise you are probably better off just cost averaging by buying each week to get the best average price. Monero and ZEC are both highly speculative and the traders decide what is fair price for both. Very few altcoins have taken out their all time high. Monero has already done that once, we have to see if that happens again. When the price was 0.006-0.01 people thought it is still too high and refused to buy expecting 0.004-0.005 which was told us that it will be on the horizon. Personally I had small bids all the way to pretty much zero and the highest ones got filled when people simply dumped their treasures to my and other's bids. Therefore, statement of calling 0.01 being the right price to buy is wisdom that do not help much today when the price is 0.016 or better. The future will tell if the current price is a good price to buy or a terrible price. Personally I do not care the price anymore (I am so much on the water) but obviously I would wish higher price, not going to sell if the price is going to go down. It causes only capital gain taxes to pay at this point. |

Potential upcoming news are the acceptance to Coinbase (if it becomes actual - but based on reddit odds are quite good Monero is going to be accepted). Also around the Satoshi roundtable Monero probably gets new (large) investors from the early adopters of bitcoin. |

I am also looking for retirement this year or in 2018. My father will be retired from being a member in the rat race slavery. He lost his physical health to the work.. And he is worth around 1 million euros.
My goal/aspiration is to be retired before him - I am 31 yrs. this year, my father will be 62.
If I am not succesful with Cryptonite, I will try to do it with real estate and appartment investing.
EDIT: I am expecting the appearence of Aminorex any time soon now. Monero is approaching his "cheap coins" -target.

Sad story, I hope you are happy, Risto. I guess it is happiness that everybody is looking for in the world and different people discover happiness in different places. To me personally marriage is the most important thing in life and I have compromised in many things to pursue marital happiness. And I have even been in family counselling 16 sessions to improve the communication and communication skills. That being said, there are still many issues we do not think in the same way but still we are able to come along okay. I do not honestly think you will find some other woman better - everybody of us have our issues and struggles in life. In my opinion, you do not need to deny yourself to life with a woman you disagree irrelevant topics such as if there is some kind of conspiracy of banks or not etc. Those issues have very little to do with my happiness. Those things can be discussed with the right circle who consists of like-minded people but in my opinion your wife doesn't need to agree on this with you but you still can love each other. Just do not criticize her if she wants to life in the society where the majority of people lives but use gentle words to her - never criticize, not even a hint of criticism just praise her for cooking meals, taking care of children, getting a promotion in the workplace, being beautiful etc whatever is suitable.  It might require some work in your personality sometimes (as you may not feel genuinely - the feelings will wake up later when you practice). In the Bible even G-d did not tell the whole truth to Abraham in order to maintain shalom bayit. You can find it from the story of Abraham and Sarah. Sarah complained to G-d about not having a baby. She said I am so old and also my husband is so old. Then G-d asks Abraham why Sarah complains SHE is so old. There you can see G-d did not tell to Abraham the fact that Sarah complained the old age of Abraham as well. As far as I know this is the only place G-d told a white lie. It tells us for the sake of shalom bayit it is even allowed to tell such lie. A good practical example is: Your wife bakes buns but instead of putting sugar she puts salt, you just praise her how well she baked and how delicious it is. I know, easier said than done. |
